Find out the key takeaways and be able to talk intelligently about it minutes from now...not hours or days!
Succinct and straightforward just like military-style orders! The nuggets of wisdom found in this book my not be groundbreaking or serve as a reference point in self help history, however it accomplishes a lot more because this Admiral's personal NAVY SEAL journey is relatable to struggles we all face in life. By far the most memorable sequence of words for me are “If you make your bed every morning, you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another. By the end of the day, that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed. Making your bed will also reinforce the fact that little things in life matter.” I could not have rephrased it any better. Making my bed every morning is now a daily ritual for me. I don't know about you!

Make Your Bed by Admiral William McRaven was a great book. Admiral McRaven talked about his time in training to become a Navy SEAL. He wrote about the challenges he faced and how he got through them. Admiral McRaven taught me to have mental toughness, to persevere when times are tough and that by starting your day with a small accomplishment like making your bed, it can get you ready for other accomplishments you want to reach for that day and in life. He gives you pointers on how to be successful in life and who you want to keep with you along the way. I would recommend this book to everyone.
