New York Times bestselling author, Emma Hart, brings the heat and heart in a brand-new series of sexy standalone novels, starting with SIN...

Damien Fox lived up to his name.
Cunning, sly, and dangerous, fifty percent of Vegas’ strip clubs were his.
Whatever he wanted, money, attention, women, he got.
And now he wanted to buy my bar, no matter the cost.
I wanted him to go to hell on a first-class ticket.
He played a dirty game, and I followed his rules. I let him think he would win.
Despite our differences, it was clear to see that we were no more than two broken hearts colliding in the darkness.
Closed off, sexy, and holding a pain that would crush a lesser man, he was the ultimate sin.
One I couldn’t deny myself, even though I knew better than to trust a fox...

(SIN is book one of the Vegas Nights series. Each book in this series is a standalone novel.)

DNF @ 25%.

Sadly wasn't to be, didn't feel any chemistry between the H/h and although the premise sounded good, I found my mind wandering on anything but reading. Have heard good things about Emma Hart though so may try something else by her—might simply be a case of this one not being the right one for me.

Damien and Dahlia keep it HOT in Vegas!!

Emma Hart has blown me away! I've read several of her books; they are always witty, sassy, and sexy. Sin is so much more than that! Damien Fox is my ideal book boyfriend.

Here's the breakdown: Dahlia returns home after a three month break following the death of her father. She's immediately bombarded with requests to purchase her father's bar. Damien Fox, a local tycoon has been relentlessly pursuing her via her friend Abby. Needless to say, that doesn't go over so well. The last thing she intends to do is sell her father's legacy to the Fox family. She also has no intentions of being insanely attracted to the jerk, but you can't win them all.

What I loved: The characters are entertaining and perfectly written. Damien is cocky, arrogant, rude, and sexy as sin. Dahlia is smart, beautiful, and doesn't take anyone's crap. The animosity between these two quickly turns to sexual tension. They go toe to toe is the very best ways!

The backstory is intriguing. I can't wait to see how everything works out. Each of the characters have gone through so much tragedy. It's shocking and sad, but ultimately brings them closer together.

The writing is witty and quite entertaining . However, I have to admit, there are some phrases and little nuances that stumped me, but they weren't detracting.

Overall, this was a really good read. I'm in for the long haul with this series. I can't wait to read Perrie's story in book two. This is my favorite Emma Hart book to date!

SIN is Emma Hart's HOTTEST book to date! It has her BEST character leads to date! Dare I say it...her all around BEST BOOK to date! Her readers are going to be BLOWN AWAY by her AWESOMENESS with this one! Ladies get ready, because Damien Fox is going to ROCK YOUR WORLD!

"Just as I feared, he held me together. Just when I thought I'd break, he held my cracks together, far more tenderly than I'd ever imagined he was capable of."

Like with all of her books, I experienced a true myriad of emotions while flipping through the pages of Damien and Dahlia's story. I would be laughing one minute, and tears would be running down my cheeks the next. I would have a huge smile on my face, which would quickly turn to a murderous glare. There was happiness, sadness, frustration, exuberance, giddiness...I could go on and on.

SIN has Emma Hart's trademark writing style, but she took the SEXINESS up a level with adding Damien Fox's mouth in the mix. THAT MAN! Just...wow!

"Don't fucking challenge me on this, sweetheart, because you know as well as I do that I'll win."

And don't even get me started on our heroine, Dahlia. She is as feisty as they come and the perfect woman to go up against the likes of Mr. Fox. Their relationship started with a battle, and it grew into something truly beautiful. A constant push/pull dynamic turns into an EPIC kind of love. Every moment in this book had me hooked! I couldn't turn the pages fast enough, yet I didn't want it to end. Emma Hart always brings us SEXY as SIN love stories with a hearty dose of emotion and heart. SIN, book one in her brand new series, was no different. This book has me even more excited for what's to come with her Vegas Nights series. As long as she keeps bringing the HEAT, I will follow Ms. Hart anywhere!

OMFG! Emma Hart's first book in her brand new series Vegas Night's screamed sex and heart and I am fucking in love to the moon and back! Damien Fox and Dahlia Lloyd's journey made my ride a whole lot of fun, heat, sexy sprinkled with heart and emotional rollercoaster and I was a goner BIG TIME. This book is sure you don't want to miss!!!

I have been Emma Hart's fan and with her every release, she never ceases to amaze me. Sin, is my new favorite of her works to date. First few pages and I was drawn into the story. I love the plot and I love the characters and honestly I couldn't ask for more. She just had this knack of writing a story that will not just make you enjoy your reading experience but will make you fall in love over and over again.

I did with Dahlia and Damien. Both these characters are easy to fall in love with. A sassy, witty, strong willed heroine and a broken yet commanding, hot alpha, and sexy as sin hero. What's not to love? Lawd! I even wanna sin with them!!! Their chemistry is off the charts and their sexual tension is explosive as fuck! Everything was just deliciously-sinfully crafted that I can't put it down nor even pause for a while. I was flipping through the pages because I can't help not to. It was written with a balanced humor, heat, heart, passion and intensity. And that's the main reason why I love all things Emma Hart. Her works are easy to read and get into. I do not have a problem connecting with the characters and the story. I love it hard and I don't want it to end. It wasn't just about the scorching moments but she manged to throw in humor and heart at the same time in a balanced manner and still managed to capture the character's portrayal on point. Swear, this book just didn't capture my attention. It managed to capture and own my heart too.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. It was intense and will struck you straight in the heart. Emma slayed writing this and I cannot wait for the next book in the series. Yes, it was incredibly written with great amazing characters and storyline you want to relive over and over. And since I don't want to spoil you the details, read this book and experience the feel, the excitement, the thrill and that passion of all things SIN. You will not regret it. You're welcome. ;)

Tantalizing and ridiculously sexy!!! Emma Hart has turned up the heat as she has made all her readers a sinner. Yes, sinning never felt so good as I practically inhaled her latest release, SIN

We were two broken hearts. We'd collided somehow, someplace, somewhere. We made sense ”

Damian Fox is a ruthless cunning businessman that owns fifty percent of the strip clubs in Vegas. When he set his eyes on something, he wants it regardless of the cost. And so when he set his eyes on the bar, The Scarlet Letter, he will stop at nothing in getting it. But one thing he never expected was the owner, Dahlia Lloyd.

#Sin

Dahlia is no wallflower. She is strong, sassy, and has the ego and confidence to match Damian. She will not give up her bar without a fight. As Damian and Dahlia find themselves in a tug of war of who can outsmart the other, it was only a matter of time these two find themselves at war in bed. So will Dahlia find herself trusting and loving a fox?

If horniness had a sound. It would be his voice. ”

Hot, sexy, palpable and oh so sinful!!!! Yes, I really don’t need to say much when it comes to describing an EMMA HART sex scene because she will have you blushing and squirming in a matter of seconds as she describes the sexual energy and connection of Damian and Dahlia. While the sex may be scorching hot, Emma also kept readers intrigued and captivated as she boldly wrote a romance that was vulnerable and emotional. She allowed readers to feel for her characters and the brokenness that drew them together.

#SIN1

SIN was a taste of an explosive series. Emma Hart did a fantastic job with this book as she gave readers a taste of her sexy, tantalizing, and smart writing and dialogue. Everything about this book was tied in perfectly giving fans a symphony of romance, heat, and raw emotions. So if you are in need of a love story that will excite and make you feel all the feels then this is the book for you.

The writer introduces us first to a "sassy heroine" who is a strong woman with self-confidence. Then, she makes the hero Damien her “weakness” – her bloody damn weakness! She forgets about all her self-esteem around him, panting and melting. The words she speaks and her actions unfortunately don't match... Pffft, give me a real strong woman if you can - this one was fake!

Let me explain by giving two examples...

Damien and his family own lots of clubs and bars. Dahlia is running his father’s bar after his death and Damien Fox wants to buy her bar. She rejects his offer. Then, he wants to take her to dinner. Again, she refuses him, thinking he would try to seduce her and then make her sell her bar. She resists him, talking in a very determined way. I was saying, "Atta girl!"

Damien is as cocky as it goes .. This is how he talks to/treats her:

“One day,” I said in a low voice, holding her harsh gaze. “One day, you’ll have dinner with me, Dahlia. Just like one day I’ll own this bar. One day, you’ll be on your back, my handprint on your ass, and my c*ck buried right inside you.”
She swallowed. “That’s a fact, is it?”
“I’m used to getting what I want. Everyone gives in eventually.”
“I’m not everyone. Sorry to say, you’ll be disappointed when you finally realize that.”

I was happy when she resisted his hotness at first because I really hated him for being so arrogant and pretentious. “Good girl, make him suffer!”, I was yelling :=)

However, the next time she sees him, here is what happens:

I simultaneously wanted and didn’t want his touch. I couldn’t think clearly—this man was my rival, my enemy, and here I was, sitting on his lap, inches away from his thick, hard c*ck, and about to let him see if I was as wet as he thought I was. I’d lost my damn mind, but yet…I stayed.
Maybe he was right. Maybe I would give into my basic urges. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe this was my weakness. Maybe he would turn out to be my weakness.

And this is where I hated the heroine. She gives in to this cocky bastard too quickly and too easily!

Because of their “so very emotional” connection (eye roll), I wanted to DNF the book but I really tried not to, for a while. Also I didn’t feel the chemistry or the connection between the characters and therefore, this “strong/weak” power game sucked for me. After some more similar scenes like the ones above, I was finally done with the book.

Approximately after %40, I started to skim and scan - jumping big 😊 - and I even couldn’t finish reading the “boring” epilogue.

My rating is based on my partial reading of the book.

P.S.
I don't think the underlined sentence is grammatically correct - tell me if it is because it sounds incomplete to me...

He dragged his lips across my jaw at the very same time his fingers probed my upper thigh.

As his thumb brushed the edge of my thong.

I pushed at his shoulders, shoving my body back despite the fact my hips were going in the opposite direction—toward him.

There are quite a few sentences like that...

God, I love an enemies to lovers story! And I love a hot AF one too! Sin is just that!

I immediately immersed myself in Dahlia and Damien’s world. I think—no, I know Dahlia is my favorite female character Emma Hart has ever written. She’s funny, sexy, snarky, smart as hell and not a push over. I love how she stands up for herself, love how she doesn’t cave in any way, love that she loves with all her heart, but keeps her wits about her.

And Damien. Damn, that man. He’s trying to be a good son. Trying to live up to his father’s impossible standards. But I loved how he allowed himself to drop his walls with Dahlia. Loved how he finally stood up for himself, due to the support from Dahlia. Loved how they both helped each other soothe their past heartbreaks—their relationship and love filling in some of those cracks.

Sigh. I couldn’t read Sin fast enough. Couldn’t get enough of Dahlia and Damian. And now I’m dying to read Perrie and Adrian’s story. Write, Emma Hart, write! ~ Missy, 4.5 stars

***

I have been a long time fan of Emma Hart's novels. They are sexy, swoony and filled with amazing characters and storylines that leave you hooked. In addition, while I have loved this author's seamless ability to incorporate humor into her past novels giving them a sexy "feel good" feel, I am honestly blown away by the slight departure of her new series, Vegas Nights, towards a more darker direction. It feels more intense, dangerous, edgier and filled to the brim with an alpha male who is dominant, broody and HOT AF. It is my favorite Emma Hart book to date and I could not get enough.

When Damien Fox, the ruthless, dangerous and cunning face behind the Las Vegas Fox empire decides he wants Dahlia Lloyd's family owned bar, the game of cat and mouse began. Whatever he wanted he always received and for some dark and mysterious reason, he decided that The Scarlet Letter would be his. But what happens when he realizes that Ms. Lloyd is like nothing and no one he has ever met before? Their chemistry is insane and their banter is just as hot. These two alphas will go head to head to see who will be brought to their knees all while dirty family secrets and drama are revealed.

I really enjoyed this novel. I felt that Dahlia and Damien were soidly matched. They were both strong to the core, determined and not used to giving up control. I found their banter to be outstanding as Dahlia was a sassy girl through and through and no shrinking violet by any means. I loved their passion for each other and their convictions and can't wait for more from this author and this series in the future. Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula

Sin (Vegas Nights #1) by Emma Hart
Standalone in an interrelated series. Contemporary Romance.
4.25 Stars

I’ve only read Emma Hart’s recent RomComs, and since I loved them, I was excited for Sin (Vegas Nights, #1) . I love banter in books, and an enemies to lovers book is usually filled with banter. Add to that a cocky alphahole and a strong, feisty woman and that, to me, is gold.
"My name is Damien. Remember it. You'll need it when you beg me"

Dahlia just lost her father, and she is coming back to their bar after 3 months of grieving. This isn’t any old bar, it’s a wildly successful BOOK THEMED BAR, The Scarlet Letter, in Las Vegas. I love how Dahlia was book obsessed and so cute about it! It was hard going back to the place that was so much of her parents, but she was gone far too long, and some jerk was getting real pushy about trying to buy it.
"It was time for me to pull up my big girl panties—but not too far, given that I was wearing a thong—and get the hell on with it."

Damien Fox’s father’s company owns half the strip clubs in Vegas. Now his dad has an obsession with buying The Scarlet Letter, and Damien, who runs the company, is doing whatever he has to to get his hands on it for him. He is railroading his way into the bar and he will not give up.
“One day,” I said in a low voice, holding her harsh gaze. “One day, you’ll have dinner with me, Dahlia. Just like one day I’ll own this bar. One day, you’ll be on your back, my handprint on your ass, and my cock buried right inside you.”

Whew! He is a hottie! The banter and fighting between them was totally foreplay.
"If a kiss could be used as a weapon in battle, his fighting ability would be unparalleled."

Dahlia is a damn good businesswoman. Just because she took some time off to grieve, doesn’t mean she is going to roll over, no way. Besides, she hates Damien…doesn’t she?

You know how that goes, right?
"Dear God, I’d crossed the line from hating him to wanting him, and then I’d stepped a little further into my own personal hell, wanting him even more than that."

There were so many funny lines (especially when he read some of her smut!) and there was such great build-up. But then, I don’t know, it kind of lost my interest for a little while. Maybe it was my personal life intruding, but it got a little draggy in the middle. I kept waiting for the big reason the two families hated each other, and why his dad wanted the bar so much to be a climactic scene, and it just fizzled out, and unless I missed it, I don’t think there was ever much of a reason. The story picked up again for me at the end when Perrie, the heroine for the next book, was introduced. The preview for that sucked me in, but I’m going to have a hard time believing that any woman would make the choices she made when another option was available—ANY option.
Likes:

•A Book Themed Bar!!!
•Her love of books.
•The hot and sexy banter.
•I love a cocky alphahole.
•She was strong and intelligent, and not all sad and weepy.
•The sex was hot!
•The supporting characters were great.

Dislikes:

•It dragged a bit in the 3rd quarter of the book.
•The big family feud that was built up never came to fruition, but maybe it will in the next book?

The Down & Dirty:
The first half of Sin was a 5 star read for me. The chemistry and build-up between the couple was great, I love banter in an enemies to lovers story, and I love a cocky alphahole. But somewhere in the middle to end my excitement waned as not much really happened. I was waiting for some big secret and confrontation between the two families and that whole story never really panned out. It picked up again at the end, and I absolutely got sucked into the preview for the next standalone story in the series, Lust, coming in September. I must mention, that I was hacked on Facebook while reading this book, causing some stressful distraction, and that may have played a part in my feelings of ambivalence in the middle, but I still think I liked the build-up the best. One thing I absolutely loved was the book-themed bar, and the future thoughts of a book-themed restaurant that we will hopefully see in Lust. I loved how her love of books was a big part of the story.

3-3.5 stars!
Damien is more than what his cocky reputation says and Dahlia is sassy, smart, and his perfect match. Combined these two will make you laugh out loud with their playful banter and the heat between the sheets WOW!
I liked the emotional piece and how everything came together—the slow build, the getting to know each other and how it wasn't just about jumping into bed together. Damien was definitely more than meets the eye and much more of a gentleman than what I originally thought him to be.
Dahlia is indeed his perfect match—someone who challenges him and puts him in his place but even more than that someone to show him how much he is worth.
And while I liked the second half of the book, I don't know if its just me and timing but I had a really hard time in the beginning getting into the story and connecting with the characters. But once I got into it, it was smooth sailing.
So again, it could just be me...I enjoy Emma Hart's books and this series is definitely one to be on everyone's TBR.

Emma Hart is one of the best writers of comedic romance and Sin was no exception. For me, the best thing about Sin was the great characterization and the hilarious, witty banter between our couple.

Damien comes across as a total douche at the start but an endearing one all the same. He is relentless and focused and Dahlia adopts a firm stance, one from which she never backs down. However, she is powerless to resist his charm and soon our couple is fighting genuine feelings for one another.

I enjoyed the gradual build up of their relationship and how they both struggled to drop their barriers and open up to one another. When they did, it was great, and I was totally rooting for them. Their chemistry was electric and the sexy times were smokin' hot and extremely well written. I definitely felt the tension and the attraction and it smoldered on the pages of my Kindle.

Family dynamics play a part in this story and I was dying to know why Damien's father was so insistent on purchasing Dahlia's bar. I was expecting there to be some hidden family secret in the background that was going to threaten their love and I was actually disappointed that we never received an answer to this question, and was perplexed by the lack of an anti-climactic moment. For me, this dented my enjoyment of the last quarter of the book - it was lacking in tension and closure. That doesn't detract from the fact that it was a highly enjoyable read, and one I would still recommend, but it is the reason why this isn't a five-star review. The writing is superb and it flows well and our two mains are easy to root for.

I'm intrigued by Perrie's story but torn over whether I'll read her book. I did enjoy the sample at the back of Sin and I have huge sympathy for her situation, however, I find the premise very hard to swallow - Perrie had options and she didn't need to follow the path she did. If it had been a year or two I could accept that but after eight years? Not so much. My personal view is it'd be much easier to swallow her pride and accept money from her brother than do what she does. And how is that setting the right example for her daughter? I'm not convinced, but I'll mull over it.

Thanks to the author and Inkslinger PR for providing an ARC of this book which I have voluntarily reviewed. This review will appear on my blog in due course: http://myyanabookobsession.com

4 Sinful Crowns

Emma Hart has returned to Vegas to deliver a sinfully sensuous enemies to lovers romance that is enticing from the very first page.

The chemistry between Damien and Dahlia is immediate, even though the underlying emotions evolve as the story progresses. Although the sexual tension is potent from the very beginning, it is clear that their is disdain for the other. This hatred stems from not really knowing or understanding each other, and as they meet and uncover each other's secrets, the hatred transforms into much more. As with any Emma Hart book, the intimate moments between these two is smoking hot and only serves to push their relationship forward.

Fair warning, though, Damien is the hero you love to hate in the beginning. He has the arrogant nature and an abrasive personality that makes Dahlia hate him, but readers, especially those who love a cocky hero, will adore him. What I liked most is that Emma Hart actually gives a legitimate reason for his demeanor, and he evolves as the story goes on. We get to see what makes him this way, and we get to see him change into something so much better.

Dahlia is a pretty awesome heroine from the get go. She is a ball-buster and incredibly fierce. She doesn't back down to this dominant hero, and she makes the choice to take things to a physical level. She also has suffered tragedies that she has risen from, making her stronger in the end. I love who she is and what she does for Damien.

The story and relationship will keep readers intrigued. Watching them move from hate to like to love is fantastic. Seeing them work through their pasts and open their hearts is rewarding and helps develop the characters. And while I wish the conflict between the two would have been more significant, the ending is perfect. The troubled man readers love finds peace, and together they find happiness. Plus, we get a great lead-in to the next standalone in the series.

Emma Hart is one of my go-to writers for romances that will fog up my kindle. She creates a captivating world inside the Vegas limits, and I'm glad we will be staying here for some time.

A hot cover made me do it! Do what? - one might ask. What? Read it.

This was one of those reads that I did not read the description of, going along with it because of the appearance. Was it a good decision? That's a different tale.

I loved the hero and the heroine and their personalities and relationship. I think it was nicely developed, making the story interesting and with a second level of depth. This plus sexy cover should make the whole book 4 or 5 star but... we have the 'But' part...

The whole playing of mouse and cat is entertaining but after 200 pages it might become slightly boring. When every encounter starts to look the same and you feel like the cheese sandwich you have eaten today, was the same sandwich you had for the last 4 weeks. Sorry about that, I love food analogies. But you know what I mean?

There were moments I laughed out loud, best scene was when Damian took the heroine's (yes... i only finished reading it like 5 min ago and i already can't remember her name... wtf is wrong with me huh?) trashy romance and started reading the hot scene out loud. This is totally a situation from my life... But who cares! I still love romances!

Overall fun, hot and interesting read that if cut 50 pages shorter would easily make a 5 star read.

Sexy, sinful, seduction....

Every single page of this book seduces the reader, seduced me, to a place filled with intensity and passion. Lust BURNS through this book so hot. Sin is raw and sexy and I powered through this book, highly addicted to the words laid out so visibly, so perfectly.

Emma is a master at writing formidable alpha males. But she's also a master at writing formidable alpha FEMALES! All of Emma's heroines are always strong, sassy, independent women who can hold their own over a dominating, powerful man, and Dahlia was no different! I loved her sass and her spark, I loved her honesty and her wit. She rocked this book and rocked Damien's world!

Damien of course was just PERFECTION. A total a-hole but a loveable, cocky, sexy one. He made my heart go pitter patter and made my stomach feel like it was a club dancefloor. While I needed a trip to the Arctic to cool down from his dirty, DIRTY month. *sighs* He was perfect!!!!

Damien & Dahlia together are FIYAH. I cannot even begin to describe just how HOT these two are. Imagine a HUGE bonfire. Now add loads of fuel until it pops, bangs, grows and then explodes and THAT will only be half of it. It's not even just the sex that's hot in this book. it's the rip-roaring connection the characters have that ramped this read. It was the INCREDIBLE, banter that made me sweat and swoon and that stoked my fire hotter. It was EVERYTHING!

SIN, was SENSATIONAL. A sexy seductive treat wrapped in the most delicious of packages.

5 SINful stars!

I skip and skim through this book. I struggled till the end but lost patience and didn't read the epilogue.

I was not emotionally invested with the characters or the story line. There were many unanswered questions and mysteries that intrigued me at the beginning, but it lost its lure soon enough. There were decent amount of chemistry between the Hero and Heroine, but all that build up leads to a rather lukewarm sex scene, it is a bit of a let down.

I can't quite place my finger on it, but this book has potential, but something it's missing. I kept having that thought at the back of my mind, the entire time I was reading it....

Vegas Baby... And I Loved It!

Instantly drawn in by the authors trademark witty & sarcastic writing style, I was invested in the goings on at The Scarlett Letter within pages.

A relatable, likeable & funny heroine, with not one but two entertaining side-kicks, Dahlia Lloyd is sassy & strong, the perfect foil to our (somewhat) anti-hero.

Damien is sexy, tenacious, sneaky, unapologetically alpha & overtly secretive - all of which is like cat nip to Dahlia (and me as the reader) despite her strongest attempts to resist him.

The book was smart, sexy, steamy & packed plenty of feels with the reveal of old secrets and wounded hearts as the story progresses.

Another great Vegas based read from Emma Hart... and I loved the little visit we had in this book from our old friends West & Mia from Stripped Bare.

I was totally expecting some erotic, sensual, sinful story where the big, bad dodgy business man turns the sweet, innocent, naive little business woman into a wanton, lustful quivering creature who gives in to her baser instincts every time he comes knocking. So what did I get instead? A strong, feisty, independent woman in the form of Dahlia Lloyd, who recently lost her father, inherited his business and was returning home after months away to mourn to find the sly and cunning Damien Fox after her bar. The hate is instant. So is the lust and want. A battle of wills ensues with them dancing around each in other, with banter that was witty and smart, and underlying sexual tension that could be cut through with a knife.

There was a lot of discovery about both their pasts, with an inordinate amount of inner monologues, especially for Dahlia. I thought the book would focus on both of them equally, but Dahlia took most of the limelight with her ramblings. I'm intrigued with the Foxs...I have so many questions that I want answered. Looks like I'll be reading the next one to find out...

Sin had all the ingredients to make a good book- a good storyline, a sassy and strong heroine, a hot and sexy Alpha male, banter and passion!!

The interaction between Damien Fox and dahlia made me laugh out loud so often, I had tears rolling down my cheeks.
I love Fergus and Abbie!!

“Ten years of Bible class ensures me that even God is up and cooking his breakfast by ten a.m. I believe Satan is the lazy one.”

Their love /hate relationship got me hooked from their first encounter! Damien Fox ... SWOON!!

He was devilishly handsome, from his dark hair to his dark, calculating eyes. "

Sin was an addictive read and a promising start to this new series!!

"He was Heaven and Hell and all the sins in between. This kiss wasn’t just a sin, and neither was he. It was the sin."

This was so much more than I'd bargained for, excellent writing, great plot, hot alpha male. But what I really found a breath of fresh air was the comedic value. Then there were chapters that were so sensual and hot as hell that I found myself speed reading. I was extremely invested. In conclusion this was a fabulous novel filled with sexy times, humour and angst. Highly recommended.

Damien is not known for having patience, “oh for eff’s sake.” Damien’s tone was deep and guttural, so husky that my heart thumped at the frustration in his voice. He yanked himself away from me. Ripped off his shirt. Threw it down. Grabbed me around the waist. Threw me back onto the bed. Pounced on me." Damien is one observant man, "he leaned in, laughing quietly. “Sweetheart, you do have enough shoes. I just counted ninety-nine pairs in your closet. You may as well make it a round hundred.” I loved this book, I fell in love with the characters and Damien was just *** on a stick.

Emma Hart writes great banter! Damien and Dahlia had so much UST going on I knew they would burn the pages up when they finally got together. And boy did they!

Damien was dark and broody and not quite nice at first, but he hid a wonderful soul that was caring and sweet to Dahlia. They were really perfect together...two halves of the same broken heart. Broken from different things that were similar and they knew how the other felt. I loved it!

I adored all the book lover talk from Dahlia! Her reasoning for reading romances when Damien was picking on her for her reading choice was outstanding! It's the same reason I read them :)

I'm a little disappointed that the disagreement between Damien and Dahlia's fathers wasn't resolved. Maybe we will get that in the next book? And speaking of the next book...BRING IT ON! I am looking forward to reading Perrie's story!

Excellent read. A little long for my liking but it kept me captivated. Loved the characters. Took awhile for them to connect but when they did....look out!
This book has 2 chapters for the next book at the end and holy hell does the next book look even better than this one! I can't wait to read it!

A sinner and a saint…a fox and his prey…a man who hides his emotions and a woman who wears her heart on her sleeve…a man who gets what he wants and a woman who refuses to bend to anyone’s demands…Meet Emma Hart’s newest dynamic duo - Damien Fox and Dahlia Lloyd.

These contrasting characteristics perfectly describe the hero and heroine of Emma Hart’s latest release, SIN, and there’s no better location/setting for a story rich in secrets and a decadent, enticing, sinfully hot story line than Las Vegas.

At first glance, Damien Fox personifies every woman’s ideal man because of his striking good looks and well-toned body, but once he opens his mouth, he becomes a bit of a smug asshole who believes his smooth moves and calculating actions allow him to claim anything and anyone he wants. But what’s most interesting about Mr. Fox is that his cocksure and smug attitude is more of a facade than anything else; it’s a shield for him to protect himself against his past and against the possibility of someone getting too close to him because he refuses to give that kind of power to anyone ever again.

In order to truly understand why Damien became the cold and emotionless man that he’s perceived to be, Emma Hart slowly reveals his past and his true nature, which means that initially, readers agree with Dahlia’s assessment of the pompous jerk, but as Damien and Dahlia’s exchanges become more about their attraction to one another than about what he wants from her, Dahlia as well as readers begin to see him in a new light and can’t help but want to bring out the man Damien truly is and see if there’s a chance of a future for him and Dahlia despite their shaky start.

Dahlia Lloyd is quite the dynamic heroine - one who Damien drastically underestimates simply because he’s too far under his father’s control at the beginning of the story. Regardless of the tragic events, Dahlia has had to endure, she’s an independent, intelligent, and good-natured woman who counts her blessings despite losing those most important to her. She definitely keeps Damien on his toes from their first interaction, and her sassy personality knows no bounds, especially when it comes to some arrogant man child who thinks he can smooth talk his way into her pants and into the deed to her bar. And as Dahlia figures out a way to beat Damien at his own game, she also helps him let go of the guilt he feels over his past and find a new way to handle things both in the present and the future.

Emma Hart makes Damien Fox work for everything when it comes to Dahlia. They seem to walk around each other for quite some time, never truly succumbing to their desires because there’s too much at stake for both sides. But once they give into their attraction, the rules and the game itself are redefined, forcing both acknowledge what is truly happening between them and what that means for both their personal and professional lives.

The secondary characters in SIN make for quite the entertainment. Abby and Fergus provide a dramatic flair to the story, offering commentary when it comes to Damien and Dahlia’s more than business relationship as well as adding some over the top antics to lighten the heaviness of some of the story line.

I can’t write a review about SIN and not bring up the name and theme of Dahlia’s Las Vegas bar. I absolutely LOVED the concept of The Scarlet Letter and the back story of its creation and its reinvention now that Dahlia’s in charge. There’s something so cool about the bar’s dynamics and what it offers its patrons and I for one would wait in line to experience the ambience of a bar like The Scarlet Letter.

Dahlia and Damien’s story is a fantastic start to what I’m sure will be a sexy and dramatic series, and with who the female lead is in book two, I can’t wait to see how Hart crafts Perrie’s story because that girl has a ton of demons to slay and a past and present that once told will shed light on just how dark and gritty her life became.

Damien Fox and Dahlia Lloyd are a match made in heaven (or hell depending on who you ask).

Damien is SIN wrapped up in a perfect exterior, he’s dark, moody, and not used to being told No, and Dahlia is his complete opposite. She pushes him, doesn’t give in and drives him completely insane and she tells him no ever single chance she gets.

When Dahlia comes back to Vegas to take over her dead fathers bar The Scarlett Letter after grieving the past three months, the first thing she has to deal with is telling the annoying Damien Fox that she is no way going to sell him her bar, but Damien will not take no for an answer. These two play a sexy game of cat and mouse and what started out as a batter of wills to get the bar, ended up being the beginning of a sexy romance between these two no matter how hard they tried to deny it.

I adored the banter between them and how far Damien tried to push Dahlia and how she pushed him right back. Every time Damien thought he had one upped her, she would get him right back and it was awesome to watch. They really balanced one another out and always seemed to surprise each other. You could tell that this quickly became something more than Damien trying to get Dahlia to sell him her bar and it’s going to be something epic if they both are willing to let go and enjoy one another.

Both of these characters are hurting from tragedy’s of their pasts, but where Dahlia is a bit more open about her losses, Damien isn’t and he shuts down when she presses which causes a lot of conflict between these two. When he finally opens it breaks your heart to hear why he’s closed off and everything he’s been through, but instead of running away Dahlia embraced him and did what she always does and tries to fix it for him. I loved this about her, she may come off as hard and strong, but she has a heart of gold for the people she cares about, and she would do anything for Damien once she let her guard down around him.

This story started off a bit slow for my liking, but once it picked up, I couldn’t put this book down. Damien and Dahlia’s story was amazing, sexy, hilarious, and swoony! Damien and Dahlia are a match made in heaven and the secondary characters are perfect and made the story that much better. If you’re looking for a sexy romance that will have you laughing out loud as well, I highly recommend picking up SIN by Emma Hart today!

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

I am a woman who doesn't feel strongly about material things such as shoes, purses, and earrings...the list could go on and on. But give me a book, especially one penned by Emma Hart and I am gushing with delight and receiving amused glances from people all around me as I act like a little kid in a candy store. I know that when I start reading a new story by Emma, that I will be transported to a fictional world with the perfect blend of heat, sarcasm, and heart! Emma takes readers back to Vegas to meet two bar owners with troubled pasts, differing views on their businesses, and enough heat to compete with fourth of July fireworks. Damien and Dahlia keep readers twisted up in sweaty sheets and melting with their heated words and sinful moves.

Dahlia Lloyd is a twenty-five year old who has endured the loss of not one but two parents and finds herself the owner of a sought after and popular bar The Scarlet Letter with no intention of selling or associating with the “fox” that wants to buy her establishment. That is until she meets him and he fuels her temper and her body at the same time. I adore everything about Dahlia! I love me a strong willed heroine and Dahlia has that in spades! Girlfriend is an intelligent, bookworm with a whole lot of class and sass!

Damien Fox is a little harder to get to know but when you get underneath that cold persona that he shows the world, you see a hero that you want to give and receive attention from. He charms the reader and Dahlia with that sexy smirk, gorgeous body, and devilish eyes filled with amusement. Before you know it, your head over heels in love with the fox with no hope of saving yourself from his suave, black suit wearing self. I can't resist a man that exudes confidence, brains, and muscles to die for!

Emma Hart delivers a stellar, steamy start to her new series Vegas Nights that hooks readers in from the beginning. What's not to love about all the verbal foreplay, scorching scenes, and a bar filled with books? I highly recommend Sin for a couple that brings the scorching temperatures, humor, and emotion that we have come to know and love from Emma's larger than life characters and amazing story lines. She never fails to lure us in and make us want to pull up a chair and stay and fall in love all over again!

One alpha irresistible male. One sassy female. One storyline that is hot, sexy, swoony and oh so sinful. Sin reminded me of Emma of the past and I couldn't have asked for more!

description He was Heaven and Hell and all the sins in between. This kiss wasn’t just a sin, and neither was he. It was the sin. He was the ultimate sin.

Emma has one after the other, delivered books that are hot, sexy and swoon worthy romances that have me hooked and them some. There is always that "something" that jumps up from her stories and captures you and you can't help but remember it time and again.

Her characters are always in some way or the other relatable and very easy to lose yourself into and see them as yourselves. The banter, the sass, the one-liners, the heat, the confessions, the love every thing incorporated makes for a scintillating romance that I always have a hard time putting down.

Damien Fox is cunning, sharp and ruthless and will go to any length and means to get what he wants. And now he has his eyes set on a bar, The Scarlet Letter, and he will get that by any means. It was supposed to be a simple form of coercion and wooing but what he didn't factor in was the bar owner, Dahlia Lloyd.

Dahlia Lloyd is everything that Damien didn't think of. Sassy, strong, confident and add into that Damien cannot seem to think properly around her she is at par with him. The Scarlet Letter is a symbol of her parents love for each other and she will do anything to save it.

description Fools rushed in.
Fools fell in love.
Fools kept the scars.
I didn’t want to be a fool.
Not for him. Anyone but him.
Yet, there I was.

Tempting, hot and sinful, Sin is entertaining from cover to cover. The chemistry is off the charts and add in the sexy moments and you've got the Emma Hart trademark which honestly, is H-O-T! The characters are the perfect mix of vulnerability behind the bold visage that underlines their thoughts and actions. Oh, and the sass. You can never have an Emma Hart book without the sass that is a prerequisite and something that I always look forward to.

So, if you like your reads extra hot with a slice of sassy and sweetness, pick this up!

4 Stars!

“Emotion was easy to hold on to. It gripped hold of you like an icy winter, clinging until it was forced out by something stronger–something warmer.”

“He was Heaven and Hell and all the sins in between. This kiss wasn’t just a sin, and neither was he. It was the sin. He was the ultimate sin.”

“Fools rushed in. Fools fell in love. Fools kept the scars. I did’t want to be a fool. Not for him. Not for anyone.”

Emma Hart is the queen at delivering sexy, swoon worthy and unforgettable romances. Her characters are relateable and easy to get lost in. They burrow themselves deep inside of you and make it so you can’t put their story down. So with each new book, each new character and each new story-line I set the bar high. And with SIN, the bar was set high and blown to smithereens. Emma Hart took my expectations and threw them out the window. Damien Fox was everything that I wanted in a lead male. Sexy. Smart. Addictive. Determined. 100% alpha male. He was utter perfection. He never saw Dahlia Lloyd coming. She was the perfect match. She challenged him with her sassy banter and sexy mind. She had confidence that he’s never seen in a woman and he’ll be damned if he can’t have his way…

SIN is all that and then some. It is smartly written, sexy and entertaining as hell. Dahlia and Damien’s story hooked me from the very beginning and had me devouring the pages as quickly as humanly possible. I couldn’t get enough of these two. Their banter was off the charts and kept me begging for more. The steamy, sexy moments were hotter than hot in a way that only Emma Hart can deliver. And the sass had me laughing my ass off.

SIN hit all the marks for me and is one exciting beginning to a sexy new series. I loved every single moment of this story and can not wait to read more!
