Damn...menage themed books are my guilty pleasure, hell even the birds up in the trees sing about it...and when I find that one book that also transcends the sex scenes...then, I call it a 'true gem'

5 star review of A Daring Desire (The Dare Menage Series #4) by Jeanne St James
Audio Review:
Narrated by Ava Lucas, Sean Crisden and JF Harding did a fabulous and really bought the story to life for me. Ava Lucas certainly has a talent when speaking as a male character.
Defence attorney Gryff is struggling to keep his lust and attraction for his employee, Rayne under control, particularly when she continuously calls him Boss which really ramps up his desire. Add in sexy and hot football star Trey Holloway who his brother asks him to represent and you just know everything is about to spin out of control.
The chemistry between all three of the characters was intense and overpowering and there were times I needed a fan to coll down. I loved that both Rayne and Trey knew they wanted Gryff and were not afraid to go after him.
I loved how Gryff tried to fight the attraction he felt but in the end it was all consuming. Gryff likes to be in control so there is some head butting with Trey and Rayne as they all come to terms with their evolving relationship.
I really loved Rayne, her passion and determination to fight to have both men in her life was inspiring, she refused to choose or settle for anything less and I admire her for that. It was interesting to listen to Gryff as he struggled to come to terms with the feelings that Trey evoked in him; Trey I just loved everything about the cocky footballer.
What I really enjoyed that it was not only a relationship based on the physical aspects but the connection between all three became so much more and they were all emotionally invested.

Hot MFM story. Flowing with hot scenes and chemistry. Very well written.
The story takes the MFM topic and the problems that can be in such a relationship. Gryff is the Alpha male and has to get through a lot of issues to get to the point where he can be in the relationship. You really get mad at him at some point, but he quick get his things together.
Trey is the one who is attracted to both and who is opening up. Rayne is the lawyer who is attracted to both of them and she has to come clean with some issues.
I love the hot scenes and the plot. A book with romance, drama and hot scenes. Great chemistry.

I went from reading a romance featuring lawyers that I thought was quite realistic in their lawyering, to a romance (or maybe erotica) featuring lawyers that made me screech “this is so many lawsuits waiting to happen!” 🫣 The contrast was too much.

This is the 4th book in the Dare Menage series but it is the first one that I've read and can be read as a standalone! Gryffin Ward is a very successful attorney who has his life in order. His newest and best associate, Rayne, is beautiful and smart! Gryff can't keep his mind on work whenever Rayne is around but he tries to keep things professional since Rayne is his employee. However Gryff can't keep things professional and neither can Rayne.
His brother, Grae wants Gryff to take on one of his football player as a client. Trey Holloway has been accused of aggravated assault of four men and if he is convicted, he could lose everything (a serious chance at a Super Bowl championship)! Gryff takes Trey on as a client but decides to have Rayne take on the case. However, things take some interesting turns and twists when Gryff realizes that Trey is attracted to Rayne and even though Rayne is attracted to Gryff, she is also attracted to Trey. Rayne is more than willing to act on her feelings for both Gryff and Trey. Trey is attracted to Gryff also and wants to see where the attraction can take the 3 of them. However, Gryff can't seem to open himself up to the opportunity of having a menage relationship even though he knows that Grae is very happy in his menage relationship.
Gryff decides to take the risk of this different type of relationship and see where it can go even though Trey and Rayne know that they have to take baby steps with Gryff! Can the 3 of them make this unconventional relationship work? And will Gryff and Rayne be able to get Trey cleared of the legal charges against hijm so that he can pursue his dream of a Super Bowl championship?

If you have not read any of the books in this series, I highly recommend you do! They are all fantastic!! Each is a standalone so you can read them in any order, but once you read one, I have no doubt you'll want to read them all.
A Daring Desire is the story of Gryff, Rayne, and Trey. Gryff was introduced in Dare to be Three, the third book in the series, as Grae's brother. It was interesting comparing the two brothers and how they handled their relationships. I loved the internal struggle we got to see Gryff have with himself. As someone who never looked twice at another man in any sexual/intimate way, he had a hard time dealing with his true feelings for Trey and how others might look at him.
I loved Rayne. She was a strong woman who knew what she wanted (both men) and wasn't afraid to go for it, or maybe I should say them. She kept her men in line, too. Their interactions were real and heartwarming. I loved Trey, too. The way he was so caring and understanding with Gryff's confusion over his feelings and their situation was sweet. I also enjoyed seeing both men's vulnerabilities and how they were able to trust their partners enough to open up.
Overall, this was a great story that showed us a lot of insight into the characters' emotions and who they truly were. I received an ARC copy but enjoyed it so much I one-clicked so I'd have a copy of the final story.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Gryff's life used to normal. After a wild youth, he settled down and became strictly by the book. He is a defense attorney who started his own office and wants to give people second chances. Hi s first mistake was hiring Rayne. She is a great defense attorney who is mouthy and stands up to him. He also really wants to bend her over his desk but that is against the office rules. His older brother sends Gryff a new case. Trey is a star NFL quarterback who was a history of wild behavior. He was at a bar and hooked up with a man in the closet. When the two went out to they alley to kiss, the other man's friend catches them and think Trey is assaulting him. Four men jump Trey and he beats them up in self defense. The police arrest him for assault.
Trey is confident and knows what he wants. He wants Gryff and he is willing to take whatecer it takes to get him. Gryff is surprised by how attracted to Trey he is and tries to avoid it. He assigns Trey's case to Rayne. The sparks between Rayne and Trey are super hot. Now there is a whole messed up situation in Gryff's mind. He is attracted to an employees and he can't stop thinking about her. He is shockingly attracted to a male client which has never happened before. Rayne and Trey have made it clear that they want each other and him. Now he has to decide how far he is willing to go.

I think sometimes authors let their series go to long and they lose their steam. Every one of Jeanne St James's proves me wrong! This 4th book in her Dare Menage series is incredible. We have Gryff, a lawyer who is attracted to his associate, Rayne. He will never act on it as she is his employee. Gryff's brother, Grey who we met previously has a colleague, Trey, who is in trouble, and goes to Gryff for help. Now Rayne is attracted to both men, and Trey feels a pull to Gryff. But can these three be in a relationship? St James masterfully weaves her web of love around these three. We not only get steamy love scenes, but she has us experiencing the inner turmoil and increasing feelings of all three. It's always a pleasure to have a book like this that has some significance and purpose. There is also a great integration of characters from previous books, giving us the feeling of familiarity. Loved it and can't wait to see her next one!
Once again, the narration of this book is spot on! St James is an expert at matching her characters to voices. Sean Crisden as Gryff is so good! He brings uncertainty to this menage, but never lets his machismo down. Trey portrayed by JF Harding brings this outwardly confident man to life, but never lets his vulnerability and insecurity hide completely. And these two glued together by the amazing voices of Ava Lucas, with her main focus as Rayne brings the story to life. She is one of the best with her understanding of her characters so well that the voices are always perfectly portrayed. Could not have been better!

A Daring Desire is a beautiful story it's very emotional and hot as hell.
Trey is sweet funny and has some deep issues but he just wants to be loved
and feel wanted. When he get's into trouble he needs the best lawyer out there.
Gryff life is very neat and controlled and that's how he needs. His life is turned
upside down when he hired Rayne and his control is slipping when she is around.
Rayne wants Gryff and she calls him Boss just to turn on him on and drive him crazy. When Trey walks into Gryff office Trey wants him and lets Gryff know. The three of them have there work cut out for them. Things from Gryff past hold him back as much as he wants Trey he fights it. Rayne wants them both and let's them know but she has a plan to get them all together. When Trey opens up about his past your heart will break. I love how Gryff responds it's great to see there relationship come together. And how Gryff relaxes and falls in love with them. The end will have you wanting to kill Gryff but he gets it together really quick. Gryff is all alpha and doesn't like for anyone to touch his lovers especially his sister Gia. This book is well written and very hot this is book four if you haven't read books 1-3 I recommend you do this series is fantastic you want be able to put it do. This fourth installment of the Dare Ménage series was definitely worth the wait. This is Gryffin Ward’s story and what a page turner it is, engaging the reader from the onset as Ms. St. James weaves an intriguing tale of self-discovery and overcoming barriers.
Gryff is a control freak which makes him the best lawyer in town bar none. His brother, Grae, requests his assistance with an incident that transpired surrounding one of his football players. Trey Holloway has been accused of aggravated assault of four men. If convicted, he could lose everything. Gryff decides to hand his case over to Rayne, a highly qualified associate. However things do not go as planned as Gryff realizes that Trey is attracted to Rayne and the feeling is mutual. This leads to trouble as Gryff takes matters into his own hands and acts on his attraction to Rayne, thereby creating a triangle of who will Rayne choose. Does Rayne have to choose just one? Can the three work out their differences and have a relationship?
I love how the author captures the emotions of each of the characters, showing their respective points of view and making them come alive to show the challenges of being who they want to be and going against the societal norm.

Gryff is a high profile lawyer who has a reputation as a winner and he has been asked by his brother to represent professional football player Trey in an aggravated assault case. Gryff has his reservations as his sexual interests is only for women and Trey has a reputation for appreciating both sexes so he has assigned his associate to the case.
Rayne is an associate at his firm and she is very attracted to her boss Gryff and they were unable to deny their desires for only so long until they acted on them. To make matters more confusing as she works on Trey’s case she is developing feelings for him as well and has fantasies about all three of them being together.
Trey openly admits he likes both sexes and he is more than willing to enter into a relationship with Gryff and Rayne but will they be able to convince Gryff that his desire for both Trey and Rayne is not wrong?

Are you looking for a read that will cause you to overheat and leave you yearning for more?
Then I highly recommend you pick up A Daring Desire.
I enjoyed A Daring Desire from start to finish. The sexual tension grabs you right from the get go and it only builds. Each individual is strong, independent, and knows what they want. When they get together the passion goes off the charts.
What I loved most is Rayne, she's a woman that know who she wants and isn't afraid to make things happen. She gets her men right where she wants them and she's one happy woman.
Gryff isn't exactly sure about Trey but he can't deny there is something there. And when he finally takes the jump, he's all in. Trey is a man on a mission when he fest lays eyes on both Rayne and Gryff and doesn't take no for answer. You can't help but love a man that isn't afraid to take a risk.
A Daring Desire is book four in the Dare Menage series, but can enjoy it without reading the previous books.
So if you like naughty, sultry, and excitement in your reads, then I highly recommend you pick up A Daring Desire and let these three make your knees weak and your panties melt.

Having never read any of Jeanne's work previously I was intrigued by the blurb and curious to see if she could pull off a storyline with these three and the answer to that question is quite simply - yes she can! It's not all smut (though to be honest there are some scorching sexy scenes) but some in depth and genuinely sweet and intimate moments between Griff, Rayne and Trey. I loved the honesty that both men had (eventually!) and was happily refreshed by Rayne's openness and sassy that meant she was able to have all she desired.
Jeanne St James has created a tale of fast-paced passion that develops into a slow burning love where insecurities and past history is dealt with in a manner befitting the trio's relationship. Well developed characters, an interesting storyline and a great sexy read.
I for one will be reading more by this author!

Steamy, steamy and steamy. 4.5 stars. Ménage books are a hidden/guilty pleasure read for me. Gryff is a owner in a law firm that Rayne works. It's complicated for him because of his attraction yet his work keeping him at a distance. Well we get Trey who is a football star who is in need of help. Gryff's brother manages the team that Trey's on and sends him Gryff's way. Trey has no problem sending attention to Rayne. This is where our triangle/ménage begins. 😊Trey has no problems with his sexuality it what sends him to Gryff to begin with. Rayne finds both men attractive but Gryff is uncomfortable in his own skin when it comes down to his interest in Trey. As Rayne and Gryff work on fixing the problems caused the three try to find a balance. Will they overcome all of hiccups life throws at them. I read this book voluntarily for an honest review. Enjoy!

We're finally getting Gryff's story! Rayne keeps this stalwart, smart attorney all tied up in knots every time she calls him Boss. When hunky football player Trey hires them to represent him, it really throws a wrench into this three-way love affair. I absolutely loved the story - how each of the main characters fought their own internal battles. and each of them had their own insecurities, even though they were all capable and successful. Their sexual chemistry with each other, as well as with the three of them, was off the charts hot! And I love how this is a series that brings back other characters, casting them in different lights. Grae is such a different person now with his own loving triad as well. Overall a fantastic series!

I really enjoy menage romances. This one has a really good mix of characters. It is very well written and there's great chemistry among the characters.
It is definitely complicated. Gryff, Rayne, and Trey have an attraction that shakes up their lives. Gryff is an attorney and not used to being attracted to men. He is very attracted to Rayne who is his employee and trying to ignore that attraction. His new attraction to Trey is very disconcerting to him.
Trey is someone open to all kinds of relationships and he is clear in his desire for both of them.
Rayne is attracted to both of them and trying to find a way to get Gryff to give it a chance. I like how determined she is to get the men she desires.When they do give it a chance, it is an explosive combination.

I really enjoyed this story. The characters were interesting and the story well written. I liked how the characters meshed together. It's not easy with 3 people and I thought it was well done. They all fit together and need the differences each bring to the relationship but they have quite a few challenges in order to make a go of it. The sex is explicit and it is m/m/f. It was well done and I thought blended into the story well and fit the characters. There was plenty going on in the story to keep you engaged and entertained. It pulled me in from the beginning and kept my attention until the end. It's a good length and we get to know the characters pretty well. This is the first book I've read by this author but I'll definitely be on the lookout for more of her stuff.

In this book we meet Griff, Rayne and Trent. Griff is the boss at a high powered defense law firm and Rayne is one of his associates at the firm. He has always had one rule - do not dip your wick in the company ink...he has never had a problem adhering to this rulke until Rayne was hired! She is too smoking hot!!! Soon their mutual lust cannot be contained and it explodes after hours in his office when they are alone.., Then we meet Trent, the star quarterback of the pro football team who needs representation after beating up four men who attacked him outside of a club because he was kissinf another man! Soon this trio becomes the hottest menage around!!! This book is super hit and full of spicy scenes! I read this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.

This is amazing book about two top attorneys, Gryff and Rayne, and one NFL quarterback, Trey. Gryff has been fighting his attraction to Rayne since the first day she started working there.He knows it's wrong for bosses and employees to have a relationships. Rayne is also attracted to Gryff and doesn't make it easy on Gryff. When Trey comes in as a new client Rayne finds out she also wants to be with him. Trey wants the both of them, but Gryff fights it about Trey not wanting to admit it. When Rayne takes charge over the three of them hoping to make it work for them.
I loved this book! Its the first one I've read in the series but I'm going back and getting the rest.

As with all the books in this series its a romance between 3 people MMF. This one is a unique one to the other in that all three people are finding each other at once and starting a trio, in which none of them have experience with. One of the men and the woman are attorneys in a boss/ employee dynamic, and the third man is a high profile bad boy football player needing their services. The male attorney is straight, or least he fights his insides to say he is. Yet the football player is openly bi and can sense the other man is as well. They are both very attracted to the female, who wants them both, but really would like it to be all together. They have the usual exploration and angst, building up to their HEA.

This is my first title by this author and WOW! This book was super hot from the very first chapter!
Rayne and Gryff work together in the same law practice. They are hired to take on Trey’s aggravated assault case and develop an instalust relationship with him.
Very well written but the last third of the book was very dramatic. Thankfully there was no third act breakup, just some serious discussions about how their relationship should work.

Gryff is the boss. He owns the law firm Trey retains to handle his latest mishap. Rayne is the lawyer assigned to his case. It doesn't take long for things to get complicated between the three of them. There is so much chemistry and sizzling attraction, jealousy and steamy sex and so much more. The story grabs you right out of the gate and keeps you captivated all the way thru.
The books in this series just keep getting better and better. All can be read as stand-alone books but I highly recommend you read them all. It's a great series of books!

So there is Rayne who is a hot shot lawyer at a firm she hopes to one day become a partner. There is Gryff, the owner of the law firm who is a damn good lawyer and successful at only 36 years of age. Then there is Trey, the football player who is in trouble and looking for someone to help him out. They are all strong alpha characters. Can they mesh together? Can Gryff overcome is taboo feelings of being with a man to actually be with one and allow Rayne who is interested in both of them to explore this ménage? This is a page turner with some really steamy scenes. I really enjoyed it and hope you do as well.

This is the first book I have read by this author but I will be looking up the previous 3 in this series. All of the characters are larger than life and very well portrayed. They all seem to go through the gamut of emotions that I would imagine that would occur when one is entering a menage. Especially when the menage is not only mfm but mmf as well. Ms St. James makes it appear that this is a common theme in society and really maybe it is as more and more twists in the family unit become apparent.
A good book, lots of hot scenes and some trips to some dark places. Well worth the read.

Jeanne St James is one of two authors that I have found who can write ménage and write it extremely well. (Bianca Sommerland is the other).
I like that all the books in The Dare series are interconnected but can definitely be read as a standalone.
As usual Jeanne has written an extremely sexy book, but she is also a fabulous story teller and has written a book about self discovery, following your heart but the best part is when Trey, Gryff & Rayne finally realise that what they have together is more than a fling- it is forever.

What a fabulous story. I thought it was sexy and very hot. Gryff has a very neat and controlled life and that's just how he likes and needs it to be. His life is turned all different ways when he hires Rayne and seems to be stumbling when she is around. Trey is a man who has some issues and just wants someone to want and need him. Can they each help one another overcome what their obstacles in life are? Can a relationship with 3 people really work? This is written well, it's book 4 of a series which are all good. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
