Zach Fortier was a police officer for over thirty years specializing in K-9, SWAT, gangs, domestic violence, and sex crimes as an investigator. He has written several books about his life in police work. CurbChek won the bronze medal for True Crime in the 2013 Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards. Street Creds and Curbchek Reload won a gold and silver medal respectively for True Crime in the 2014 Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards. His other works are Hero To Zero, which details the incredibly talented cops that he worked with that ended up going down in flames, some ended up in prison and one on the FBI’s ten most wanted list. Landed on Black described the toxic culture of the police department and streets, ultimately leading to the realization that Zach has been diagnosed with PTSD. I am Raymond Washington is the only authorized biography of the original founder of the Crips and has been awarded bronze medals in 2015 by both IPPY and Readers Favorite International book awards. Baroota: The Hunting Ground is Zach’s first fictional work, and is the start of this series, followed by Cachibache, Izadi and Chakana. All books in the Director's Series are award winning. If you are looking for gritty, true crime stories, be sure to check out all of Zach Fortier’s novels. Zach currently lives in the mountains of Colorado, with his wife Christina.
Don't you hate it when you are reading a thriller and you can guess how the book ends? Well, not with Zach's newest addition to The Director Series it is a page turner with many shocking surprises inside.
The special order high end expensive sharp crystal whiskey glasses how cleverly designed and disguised; another waiting surprise. The wine references along with the music references were so good; makes me want to open a nice bottle of red and sip on it.
The disgusting torture to those that had it coming to them to the ones who thought they were seeking treatment oh, so thrilling yet almost terrifying!
I love Nick's New Girl she is a good addition and she will help control Nick's crude rudeness. Is the New Girl enough to end Nick's whining? Nick's nicknames for his crew bothered me some, but I can't expect much from him or can I? Yes, he needs a dominate girl and I think he found her. Too bad for Non I liked her and I liked the owner of the gym she helps Nick out too. Morticia, the one with the adoring long hair she's got to go. There are more girls a lot of them, so many parallels even for the male characters.
What are you waiting for go read this book. I will be reading it again.
Second in the series by Zach Fortier, I received this from the author in exchange for an unbiased review.
Just as with the first in the series (Baroota), I loved Cachibache. This is no-holds-barred, edge-of-your-seat excitement. Following the horrors at Camp Baroota, Nick Hudson and his team go seeking revenge on The Director. What ensues is spy vs spy, gritty, realistic action.
Just when I thought I had it figured out, Zach Fortier and Nick Hudson had something else up their sleeve. The characters are fleshed out and just as flawed as any person you would hope - or hope not - to meet. The timing is perfect - always something around the corner.
Cachibache is another fine entry in the fiction genre by Zach Fortier. I am already ready for the next installment in the series!
This was very much a book full of action and suspense. I thought it was something how Nick and Non brought in the amazon ladies to help fight the director and his crew. It was creative with all the twists and turns in this book. A little graphic for my taste, but the good guys definitely got their revenge, and if you enjoyed the first book in the series, you will enjoy this one.
Zach Fortier delivers another excellent read in the second of the director series "Cachibache" (2017). This book newest offering offers excellent psychological character building and analysis; while further developing the plot with many twists and turns along the way. I highly recommend this to those who enjoy: psychological, thriller & adventure type of stories.
