What happens when two small-town girls’ lives collide in the Big Apple? Meet Lindsay and Charlie. Two smart and fabulous African American single girls who work hard and play hard, only to find their careers and love lives taking tragicomic turns.

Lindsay, a successful television executive, makes the “A” list for the hottest events in New York City. Charlie is devoted to the dream of becoming a screenwriter, and happily in love with her fiancé. And while Lindsay’s heart belongs to a handsome, high-powered video director, Charlie’s fiancé offers stability and family life – two kids from a previous relationship. When they meet it’s the classic case of each one thinking the other’s grass is greener. But the romance of Gotham starts to fade as reality shakes up both women’s worlds. They discover they are two sides of the same coin.

Funny, sweet, and endlessly charming, Cosmopolitan Girls is a winning concoction that will resonate with women everywhere.

Lindsay and Charlie are two African American women trying to juggle careers and relationships. When their lives take unsuspected turns the two women happen to meet over drinks. Both ladies believing the other has a better life soon realizes that all is not what it seems. As their friendship grows both begin to encourage each other.

Cosmopolitan Girls was not what I expected but was an interesting book to read. It was hard to follow at times due to point of view changes. I believe each ladies story could have been told separately and I would have still read it. It was entertaining and I appreciated the bond they ladies built. I recommend Cosmopolitan Girls to others.

In short I didn’t like the book. Burley and LeFlore’s main characters were too superficial and idiotic to be 32 years old. And though they attempt to redeem themselves at the end, the book is flat and one dimensional.

Closer to 3.75. Fun read, a lot of pettiness and a lot of growth friendships, relationships, family, and self.

This book is like the urban version of Sex and the City, except it involves the perspectives of two women. I love this book, and I highly recommend this book.

This book has gotten a lot of mixed reviews, but I really enjoyed it. It is truly a story that is meant to uplift and remind us women that we are worth so much more than most of us give ourselves credit.

COSMOPOLITAN GIRLS is pretty much the diaries of Lindsay and Charlie, two small-town girls living successfully in the Big Apple. Lindsay is a TV exec who has dreams of becoming a Producer. She is dating an accomplished video director who she thinks is "the one". Charlie on the other hand is living with her fiance and his two kids from a previous relationship.

A broken heart and unfaithfulness brings these two women together one day at a club. Both of them think that the other one has it good, but they are so much more alike than they think.
Together the two build an unyielding friendship and help each other out in ways that real friends should.
I didn't expect to get all that I did out of COSMOPOLITAN GIRLS. So many lessons can be learned.

I thought it was a little more than a fluffy chick-lit novel. It's a story that will make you feel proud to be a woman.

This book is poorly written, but the message in it is wonderful. Something I think most twenty something women should be told. After I got through the first half of the book I couldn't put it down I had to find out what was going ot happen.

This book was so fun to read. I wish I could have read it in one sitting. Lindsay and Charlie had a lot of fun. I actually thought Lindsay would decide differently. I am glad Charlie cut ties and made that confrontation.
