I found this book to be a great resource for anyone new to triathlon. For context, I’ve completed five sprint distances. The book contains enough information for a new triathlete, while not overwhelming with too much in-depth information. As a huge bonus it has training plans for different distances and then presents them by how much athletic ability you feel you have. So anyone, from the person with very little athletic experience to someone who is very adept at one or more of the segments, can find a training plan for them. Highly recommend for anyone trying to prepare for their first event, or someone with more experience.
