It’s Christmas time and yet, crime doesn’t take a break for Mike and Peter.
A young man who stocks merchandise at night in a hardware store is killed with very little in the way of clues as to why. The next day another body shows up.
Mike and Peter start digging and uncover more than they bargained for. They start to uncover a very clever underground organization. They jump from one mystery to another mystery.
When Fast Eddy and Carmichael show up to warn Mike and Peter of danger, they realize just how dangerous their situation is.
They soon find out a dangerous drug lord is more than just dangerous. In fact, he is deadly and has trained minions to do his bidding. The problem is getting proof to prove his guilt. This is where Mike and Peter’s skills come in handy. They must find the proof while keeping people alive and fooling the drug lord. Providing they can find out just who he is in the first place.
The plot thickens with twists and turns faster than Mike and Peter can keep up with it.
This is not a cliffhanger story! It is a complete clean cozy mystery story for all ages. Full of the escapades of Mike and Peter, FBI agents along with their friends who like to have fun.

"Pure escapism"

Don't get me wrong, I get the fact that this is a fun, clean read for all ages, but if this is the format for the series it must get tedious for the long-term fans. I selected this one at random and it took me ages to get to the actual story. I had to trawl through a long-winded introduction, rather than a 250 word blurb with details of who was who and which book they joined the cast of characters. There were continual references throughout to incidents from previous stories, as if a first-time reader actually cares. The writing style is as sugar-sweet and naive as you can get. It may be easy on the ear for millions of Americans, but it's an anathema to anyone from another country.
A series like this, if it's survived for forty issues, has to have found avid readers. My guess is they need a place to go to escape the real world, just like we had to do with The Walton's in the Seventies.

Brandon with the tools he just got would be rich soon. Someone else had other ideas for him, murder. Mike and Peter got a shoe print from the crime scene. Later on skid row a dead man, shoe size matches. Information shows these boys were runaways as teen and recruited as drug dealers. Shovels that haven’t been inventory, receipts that go into pockets what is going on.
Another delightful, amusing mystery

Runaway drug dealings

A good read. Again not the best but entertaining nevertheless. A dead body at the hardware store and then another dead body. Why do the games not bring up any details? A clue tells them to check the runaway register. Add in a boys home for runaways, a high powered family, a possibly crooked lawyer and high grade drugs. Can they clear up this mess before more boys end up dead? Can they break up the drug ring?

Once Again Into Action.

What a wonderful holiday themed story to celebrate with family and friends. I enjoyed the part of everyone taking part in playing and helping to care for all the babies in the house. Every new book is more and more exciting than the last one. I wish this series would never end.
