I'm a huge fan of Lynne's style. I suppose it's silly to say that her writing is pure poetry, but it is, even when it's not technically poetry. I enjoyed the entire collection, and my favorite pieces were "what made the girl," "breaking beauty" and "spun" - she has a way with words, a way that evokes emotion and imagery and feeling.
Here are a few reasons why this collection is awesome and definitely worth your money and time. First, it's unique in it's content mixing erasure poetry, photographs, poetry, personal essays, art and graphics, and short stories in a way that brilliantly complements one piece to another and keeps you moving through the book. It's a style that is contemporary and I foresee it being copied to attract traditional book readers in an age inundated with technology. Second, the written work is so heartfelt that you not only feel the soul of the author, but it allows the reader to connect and identify oneself in the carefully chosen words and subjects. Ones that spoke to me the most included "inspired", "after you", "the genetics of depression", and "relinquished". Finally, the author's natural talent leaves you wanting more. No need to be afraid of the word "poetry" with this collection. I highly recommend.
"Found Between The Lines" is an amazing collection of blackout poetry, writing and photography. The author presents her writing in such a unique and profound way that is also paired with beautiful artwork. It's as if the book itself was specifically written for you - totally relatable! Absolutely loved it! Can't wait to check out her latest release... featherstone
