The Tweaks have been through a lot together. Now they’re going to have to learn to live together. Because Shandra used her ability in front of the evil Dr. Grey, the genetically enhanced Tweaks have to move to Mr. Goetz’s farm to avoid him. Shandra isn’t sure if it will be harder to live with Chuck, the former bully who puts negative thoughts in her head, or Henry, the shy boy she likes who can read her mind. To top it all off, she has to do chores. She soon finds she has bigger problems she hadn’t expected. Every time she gets mad, she uses her ability in front of strangers without thinking. One of them, a nosey reporter, takes too much interest in the new boarding school and in their teacher. If this snoop prints a story about them, it could steer Dr. Grey to their location. Can Shandra learn to control her temper and her ability in time to come up with a plan to keep the reporter away from them?
While doctor's anger blows the tops Of such a lofty wedding throng That no one knows who did it wrong. Just when the plan is finally through Dr Grey will be locked up it's true.
This book is beyond amazing!!! Terry Deighton is the most talented author ever. She makes a super interesting and complex plot that is still easy for everyone to follow. Her characters are so real and fleshed out and alive. My personal favorite is Shandra. Even her character names are something else- very unique and perfectly suited to the personalities. This book could not possibly be better! I read the entire series in one day, I was so obsessed. Someday I hope I'm as talented as Terry Deighton. I recommend it so much, and I can't WAIT to read book 5 and find out what happens to the Tweaks!
Loved seeing the characters blossoming, as well as enjoying the relationship that develops between their teacher and ... oops, I'll leave that one out. Spoiler material. I think teens love books that present unique ways to put the bad guy in his place, especially funny ones. Still, Deighton did a great job keeping the bad guy scary.
