Deadly outbreaks of diseases make headlines, but not at the start.
Every pandemic begins small, subtle, and in faraway places.
When it arrives, it spreads across oceans and continents, like the sweep of nightfall, killing millions, or even billions.

BE PREPARED TO GET VERY, VERY PARANOID.

The events depicted in The Pandemic Series are fictional. They are, however, based upon historical fact.

In LEVEL 6, book three of The Pandemic Series, the pandemic has hit a brick wall, but not because it's burned itself out. Rather, it's running out of victims. Social distancing is the only way to avoid a gruesome fate. Unfortunately, in a dystopian world where resources are scarce and scavenging is a way of life, every moment away from where you live could result in your death from either the disease, or your fellow man.

This is a post-apocalyptic thriller about the threats we face from a global pandemic, and the use of infectious diseases by terrorists as they wage jihad around the world. Drawing on his unique talent to place the reader in a post-apocalyptic world, Bobby Akart delivers an explosive page-turner that has you wondering - will there be a last patient?

Note: The Pandemic Series does not contain strong language. It is intended to entertain and inform audiences of all ages, including teen and young adults. Although some scenes depict the realistic threat our nation faces from a worldwide pandemic, and the societal collapse which will result in the aftermath, it does not contain graphic scenes typical of other books in the post-apocalyptic genre.

I believe more of our young people need to lead a preparedness lifestyle. Studies show that our millennials do not have any of the basic survival skills. By writing this series free of vulgarities and gratuitous sexual innuendo, I've intended it to be suitable for everyone.

Here we are, 8 weeks into the Pandemic, and most of the worlds population is either sick or dead. Supplies in shops are running low, people are beginning to realise just how bad it is. The president is hunkered in his bunker but is becoming increasingly erratic, Level 6 is in full affect and life is on the brink. Meanwhile Mac and Hunter are trying to get into a routine and Mac and her mum are setting up a makeshift lab to try to find either a cure or a vaccine. Life in their little mountain retreat is plodding along. Something happens and one of Mac's loved ones becomes infected, so it's a race against time for Mac!

This series is simply amazing. The attention to detail is phenomenal. I felt like I was watching a documentary while reading and learned a lot!! The situations the characters find themselves in was frighteningly real and you find yourself immersed in their story. You'll laugh and cry along with them and just find yourself a part of their world. We get to see more of the characters struggles in this as they try to survive.

Character wise, what I love most about this series are the characters. Mac is so smart and resourceful, her mum and dad are awesome and then there's "billionaire batman" Hunter, who just rocks!! The characters are all well written and developed and have made their way into my heart.

There really isn't much else I can say about this because I would spoil it for others so I'll just say that this series is one of my favourites and I highly highly recommend it!! If you love medical thrillers or viral outbreaks then you will love this! Now this does end on a massive cliffhanger but it's ok because I know book 4 is coming soon to audio and I bought the ebook already!!! Go read it, you won't be disappointed!!!

I have to say that at this stage, I couldn't picture anyone else narrating this. Both the narrators were awesome and really read this well. They captured the characters feelings perfectly and really brought the anxiety and heartbreak of the characters to life.

I was voluntarily provided this audiobook for free from the author, narrator, or publisher. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

Even the pandemic flu of 1918 only killed one to two percent of the people who were infected. - Anthony Fauci

The pandemic that has hit the world has or will soon kill 99% of the world's population. Survivors have retreated to guarded enclaves to protect themselves from being infected.

Mac, Hunter, Janie and Mac's parents are at their property near Breckenridge, Colorado and are hunkered down while Mac continues to look for a vaccine or a cure.

I like that most of this book takes place in Colorado, a place I grew up in and love. I skied Breckenridge many times when I was younger and am very familiar with the area.

The President and his staff and the line in succession to the Presidency are sheltered under Cheyenne Mountain and he's having to make some huge decisions about the continuance of mankind.

Lots of action and excitement and I'm now off to read book four, the final book in this series PANDEMIC: QUIETUS.

This story is a very gripping one. From the first book to this one, we learn not just the scientific aspects of a pandemic but also what goes on with the people it affects. As the disease spreads, we learn what happens to each victim. From when they are infected to when they take their last breath. This would be a terrible way to die and the scary part of it all is that it could happen to us all. With all of the technology and evil in the world, it would only take one group to want to take down a country and end civilization as we know it. Bobby Akart is showing us all of this in this series! With his attention to detail, he does in depth research so that we have the knowledge to at least try to survive if a pandemic does occur.
The first book, which was the beginning of the pandemic, took us to far away places that some of us will never see in our life time but we learned that it wouldn’t take much to bring the disease to our own homeland. This disease doesn’t care who you are, where you are form, rich or poor. No, it will take you down in a matter of days. Book two goes more into the government not wanting to cause a panic among the people of our country so down plays the disease. THAT is what scared me the most! I can actually see that occurring and when it is too late…well…then it’s kiss your butt goodbye! Book three…all I can say is…WOW! In book two we learned what a Level 6 emergency is and it is what happens when the governments of the world give up on ever finding a cure. It will be the eradication of all of the diseased people so as to save those not infected and that mankind does not become extinct! Talk about sitting on the edge of your seat while reading this series??? I FELL OFF IT! Book three is by far the most emotional so far. I have screamed, swore at the author and cried like a baby! The realism of the all characters is amazing and the main characters feel like old friends now. Remembering that this is a pandemic situation and not everyone will make it, well, you get the picture. When an author can bring out so many emotions in a reader, it is the sign of some damn fine writing and Bobby Akart has done that!
I can’t recommend this series enough! It is a definite MUST READ for anyone looking for a fantastic series. You will not be disappointed, I promise you unless you do not like apocalyptic type stories. The writing is phenomenal and realistic. The series is geared to all ages so parents do not have to worry about “uncomfortable” scenes or swearing and you will be waiting impatiently for the next book to come out! Kudos Bobby Akart on this amazing series!

What can you do as an author when you realize that you have 4 books to write for you publisher ? You start filling up pages with side stories that has nothing to do with the main story. Like filling up few pages with vivid description of a fire, and many more. Every event is so predicted, that it becomes so boring to read the book.

Thriller Perfection

Level 6 is the third book in the Pandemic Series by Bobby Akart. It tells the story of the continued die-off on Earth and what the survivors are left to deal with. It also tells of trying to find a cure when your back is against the wall and friends and family could be next. But most of all, Bobby Akarts’ Level 6 is a story about surviving the unimaginable.

Level 6 is the third book in a four book series, and it doesn’t have the sort of middle-book syndrome that some of the middle stories can get. Akart didn’t hold back when writing this and I’m glad that he didn’t. The story itself was really enjoyable and I could tell that he was back to writing about things that he’s intimately familiar with (prepping). That being said, he still talks a lot about the disease and the way that various groups are trying to fight back. So don’t worry, he didn’t just stop writing medical thrillers to go back to his typical post-apocalyptic tales.

This story has a pretty big cliff hanger and if I wasn’t such a lover of audiobooks I might start the final book just to figure out what happened, but I really want to hear Kris and John finish the narration of this series.

A few times while reading I believe that I even said “wow” out loud. I’ve read almost every book that Akart has put out and he’s still able to surprise me. I love that about these books. They’re outside of his normal wheelhouse just enough that he’s able to write storylines that feel similar but are totally new and unique for him.

Overall, Level 6 wasn’t a junior slump by any means, but I cannot wait to see what is in store for Quietus — the finale of this series. I feel like it’s going to be one that I won’t forget for a long time to come.

In just two short months the world as we know it has ended.

Eight weeks ago Dr. Mackenzie Hagar of the CDC and Nathan Hunter met in a village in Guatemala when the first outbreak occurred. There were no survivors in the village, nothing but corpses to answer their many questions. The cause of death was determined to be a type of pneumonic plague. The questions grew but finding answers remained difficult. Meanwhile, the plague spread, popping up all over the world.

Now, after just eight short weeks, ninety percent of the world's population was sick, dying or dead. Vital services were breaking down as people were too sick or too scared to report to work. Fear spread like the plague.

As hard as people worked to find ways to survive, other groups were taking advantage of the lack of authority, preying on the living for their properties and lives, robbing, raping and killing.

This third installment of the Pandemic series is as terrifying as a story can be, mostly because this could be so real, so quickly. The story invites you in to meet amazing characters, lures you through its pages with romance and family, then pounces on you with evil, death and destruction! Aside from dazzling us with love and humanity, the story also teaches what it will take to survive.

The characters are beautifully described and brought to life as the story drags them through the heights and depths of life. The story is thrilling and action packed. Don't miss this series! You won't regret reading this!

ANOTHER MUST READ BOOK IN ONE GREAT SERIES, NOT TO BE MISSED!

Another great book in the "Pandemic Series, Pandemic: Level 6: A Post Apocalyptic Medical Thriller Fiction Series by Bobby Akart and it doesn't get any better than this. With Hunter and Mac doing all they can to keep their family safe from the Pandemic that is sweeping the world, others are doing their best to see that they stop it in its tracks, with a directive that allows for mass killings, to stop those that are deemed the most likely as the carriers around the world, but are also playing into the hands of the terrorists that have released this deadly disease. Another great book by Bobby Akart and it doesn't get any better than this, unless we count the last book in this series, that after reading this book, makes us want to get to it as quick as possible. This is one book & series that should be a must read for all, as it shows what if anything could happen in our day and age. Definitely one set of books that I truly recommend to all to read, you will not be disappointed.

This is the third book of a four book series and each book tops the other. The main group of our loved characters are now hunkered down in the mountains when the news hits that Level 6 is being implemented. Level 6 is the eradication of all suffering from the plague but also those just suspected of having the plague. Which means innocents may be slaughtered.
Mac and Janie work overtime trying to find a cure while the others work with some interesting new characters to protect the picturesque little town from outsiders.
As a pandemic isn't choosy about it's victims, this horrifying tale starts to hit all levels of your emotions. You'll laugh, you'll smile, you'll pray and yes, you'll cry. I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series but I'm also dreading it.
This is a must read series which is totally terrifying because it could happen!

So glad there’s only 1 more book!

I’m so relieved there’s just one more book in this series. I haven’t slept in about a week and a half!
Lol Seriously though, it is 5:30am, and I haven’t had a wink of sleep all night. Again. This story is addictive.
The character development has been so masterful - even regarding the unlikable characters and the bad guys - that you are completely invested in everyone’s outcome right from the start. And their hold on you only gets tighter the longer you get to know each of them. Even the new folks.
The storyline .. though a terrorist plot to weaponize a bacteria is not novel, nor is a pandemic, the way the author crafts this tale is absolutely fresh, exciting, and constantly surprising.
Without question- top of the heap in the genre!

Level 6

Things about reading a Bobby Akart novel:
1. The facts are spot on. Yes, this is an apocalypse fiction novel, I can recheck his writing but why? It is correct.
2. What a great teaching tool for teachers, families starting out learning survival .
3. Excellent storyline. I read it from start to finish in one sitting. I can't tell the good parts because I would just be copying the entire book.
4. I will say this..... The true love story isn't Mac and Hunter. It is Tom and Janie. A testament that true loves last forever and gets stronger and better with time.
5. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I....if that is possible.

A Great Read!

Once again this author continues to write a great story in a fantastic series that can be enjoyed by people of all ages as well as readers of a wide variety of genres. Other than die hard romance novel readers (who I think if they gave the first book a fair chance) I truly believe there is something for everyone who enjoys a good fiction read in every book in this series and this book continues to do so. At times this book was a bit slower than the previous stories, thus the loss of one star in my rating, but I'm optimistic that the final book in this series will end this story with the same energy and creativity that it began with.

I waited until I read all four in this series before I began to review. Knowing this could actually happen in today's world, make these books even more terrifying. With each book, I became more involved with the characters and Akart gave us more insight. A falling in love story in a time of world crisis, while millions die, leaves you hoping for the best and the good guys will triumph over the evil in the world. Drama, fear, love, kindness and the evil of mankind all rolled up into four great books.

"Determined To Be Survivalists"

The deadly pandemic continues to move to all countries around the world. Finally, in this book 3 of the series, the disease comes to a halt. Not because mankind can knock it out of our world, but because it can't find any more victims. Bobby Akart is an awesome author who does much research into real events and weaves his stories around these events. This story is explosive and thought provoking. Be very reserved about shaking hands with a stranger. You may be caught in a web of disease. A must read story.

Level 6

With every episode of this series it becomes more emotional and horrific. This book has made me cry and laugh at the same time. I can only pray that Mac can come up with a cure. I've become so attached to these characters, it's like watching a real life drama unfold. This is an a testament to the great writing of Bobby Akart. I can't wait to read the last book to find out if Mac is successful.

PANDEMIC: LEVEL 6

This is not a series that I can just say that the characters were top-notch, the storyline will shatter your world and maybe your beliefs too. I'd add also that this series will have you wanting to Bolt when you're sitting in the Dr.'s and someone cough's! Happened to me today, lol! The maps, of the countries showing red dot's representing the plague as it spreads, are visual's that aren't easily forgotten. The same with this series!

Pandemic, Part 3

Third books in sets of four sometimes feel like filler. At first, that's how I thought Level 6 would be. Bobby Akart's novels are well thought-out, factual thrillers, captivating the imagination and expanding scientific, medical and political knowledge, but they don't generally move me to tears. This book was an exception. It was an extremely good book filled with genuine emotion. I highly recommend this series! Start with book 1, and keep reading!

book 3

No one writes with more details, thoroughness, knowledge, passion, and understanding than this author. This series is terrifying, heartwarming, heartbreaking, chilling, The only thing I did not like about this series is the God awful name that was given to the black lab! This book ends in a cliffhanger. I am so glad I have the next book ready to read. I would otherwise be highly upset. In my opinion, this is one of the very best authors alive.

I think this series has been great and can't wait to read the final book. I look forward to the next series of books written. If you haven't read "The Boston Brahmin" yet, then you should. Words words and some more words because it says I need to write more words for my review. I'm not a book critic Amazon, just a guy who reads a lot of books.

Another great book in this series. The government and military seem a little too organized given the percentage of the population that is dead or infected. Then again, I would think that if everyone was well (jk). The shadowy intent of the government is very interesting and I look forward to continuing this story.

Lots to think about

While this work was fiction, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. It certainly is food for thought so that we might have an idea of what to prep for. Scary as that might be, the facts are we live in a very dangerous world.

Only hope and pray that the scenarios in the book series don't come true for humanity's sake.

Part two of the Pandemic series takes place near Breckinridge where loved ones gathered to protect one another and Mac looks for a cure. It is a fast-paced filled with the perils of trying to survive without catching the disease that has decimated the world’s population.

This was a scary look into what could happen if a pandemic happened here it the US. Akart's books have enough reality in them that they seem plausible. I read the whole Pandemic series and Yellowstone series and part of the Lone Star series. All a great (and scary) books about the things the US would do in different catastrophe's.

This book was more people driven. People are dying and it affecting our heros.

I don't want to put big spoilers on here. But i sure wanted to kick somebodies butt. This has humanity at its worst and some people at their best.

Looking forward to the last book.

The Pandemic has spread all over the world but now Mac may have a cure! We won't know until the next book. You won't be able to put this down. Very intense. I like that the bad guys are not all from ISIS or inter-city gangs; there's a variety.

Series started strong but faded in subsequent books

Of the three parts I've read so far, part three is the least satisfying. I'll read part four mostly because I came this far so I might as well finish. It might finish on a good high.
