Kaia Peterson has been drawn to Club Kink ever since she heard whisperings that the exclusive place was a reality. Although she doesn’t know where she’d ultimately fit in to the world of kink, she can feel it calling to her like a beacon, and she knows it's a place she really wants to be. She filled out the paperwork and crossed her fingers, hoping that 1. She’d be accepted and 2. They wouldn’t find out her secret.
Axel Knox is the co-owner of a sex club. He’s a large man, with a big secret. He runs Kink, helping members with their needs takes his mind off his own, that is until a dark-haired beauty makes a request that changes everything. Two people learning about themselves and each other while attempting keep their secrets intact.
The motto of the club is ‘Your pleasure is our priority’ and it’s something he’s keeping in mind as he’s Flipping Her Switch.
Leela Lou Dahlin has loved reading for as long as she can remember and writing for about the same amount of time. Molding letters into words, words into chapters and chapters into making love…one story at a time. Crafting stories that are spicy with a sidecar of sweet is what she likes to do best. An RN Case Manager by day and writer by night she juggles being a mom to 5 children with all the other hats she has the pleasure of wearing.
She also writes contemporary MM romance under the name LL Dahlin.
The first thing Kaia sees as she's about to enter Club Kink is tall tattooed Axel Knox.
He looked like the perfect mix of erotic fantasy and scary-as-hell nightmare. Tall with broad shoulders and a thick, well-manicured beard, his hair was cut low on the sides, but the top was long and dark. His eye color was hard to see in the lighting. She’d never before smelled whatever fragrance he was wearing—a mix of clean man and hot sin. He was a lot to take in, and she wanted to remember everything...
Kaia is a romance author doing some research, well lets be honest it's not all about the research and certainly not once she meets Axel. Axel is one of the owners and he doesn't take on students but he's about to change his mind for Kaia. Kaia is a romance writer but she's also a journalist and while she has absolutely no intention of writing about the club she feels it's best to keep that fact a secret. Axel and Kaia are drawn together and for her it feels so real and so much more than an instructor/student relationship but for him is it just business as usual? This is a hot sexy read and while it goes exactly as expected it's a fun ride.
I voluntarily read a review copy kindly provided by NetGalley and Season Publishing.
This was a hot little read. Kaia signs up to join Club Kink for reasearch on her next romance novel but also for personal curiosity. On the first night she snags the attention of co-owner of the club, Axel.
Their interactions was pretty steamy but their was also some hesitancy by both of them. Kaia being new and realizing the excitement is because of Axel and not really the club itself. Axel because he's never felt such a pull to a woman before.
Despite being about a BDSM club, this was pretty light on the subject matter. It's a short story so pretty fast paced and it flowed nicely until the end. I will say the ending felt a bit rushed, but it didn't take away from the enjoyment of the story.
I'm definitely in for the next book and hope it's on Linc, the other club owner. ARC provided by NetGalley.
A fast read centered around Club Kink that’s actually light on the BDSM but heavy on the sexy. It has great characters that you feel like you know, or would love to know, and a couple that are endearing. I’m not a bit fan of BDSM so when I first saw this novella I skipped it. After a friend shared with me that it wasn’t all about the kink, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did.
Kaia and Axel are perfect together and I absolutely loved their chemistry. There’s not a lot of story to this one, but I still felt like I had spent my time with people I would love to see more of. Great humor and some surprisingly unique intimate moments were the mainstay but I finished this with a satisfied smile. Just wish it had had an epilogue.

This is the story of Kaia and Axel and their exploration!
The summary was really nice and attracted my attention. I love stories about heroines/heroes who want to explore their needs. The plot was also nice although there were not a lot happening in Club Kink. Kaia and Axel were nice and solid characters. My only complain is that due to the extend of the book (it's actually a novella), the story didn't go in depth. Everything felt superficial and easy.
I liked the story and I'd loved to read more about the why's and how's regarding Kaia and Axel.
OK here is a list of items you need while reading this book
1- somewhere comfortable 2- privacy 3- your most prized toy or willing partner 4- a couple pair of panties OR better yet none at all AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL
Flipping Her Switch is the first book in the Club Kink series by Leela Lou Dahlin and I would love to read more about this club. In this book Kaia is a romance writer as well as a freelance writer but no one needs to know that last part… After all the reason that she is at Club Kink has nothing to do with the reporter side of her life but will she really be able to keep this a secret? Especially since the only one she wants is the co-owner. Axel is enjoying his life running the club that him and his best friend started. He never gets attached and never trains newbies on his own, but he has never met anyone like Kaia before. He soon finds himself in a horrible position when he finds out the truth that she has been hiding. Will they ever be able to start fresh or will the loss of trust change everything? As I said I really enjoyed this story and the concept behind it. I really loved Axel and could picture all his tall, built, tattooed body but it was the sweetness hidden behind all that alpha-ness. There was a twist at the end that I did not see coming but thought it made the story so much better. I highly recommend that you read this book!
3.5🌟 A quick saucy read. As a Novella you don't get much insight into the background of the characters which did make it a little harder to connect so the insta-love was difficult to find believable. Romance writer Kaia visits a BDSM club to gain some experience for her stories but also to explore her own fantasies. Axel appears to be her knight in shining armour who comes to her rescue when her nerves get the better of her as she goes to enter the club. she doesn't know he is the co-owner but doesnt appear shocked when she finds this out. From timid mouse she seems to get her flirt on pretty quickly and soon decides Axel is the man she wants as her instructor. There wasn't as much kink as I expected and the pool table scene is a little cliche but was fairly hot. all in all a nice little distraction for a Sunday morning :)
I received this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was a short, fast paced book about a writer, of all things. Kaia goes to Club Kink to do research for her next book, but also to do some soul search. I can say that I could truly relate to her in the sense of the exploring and experimenting without truly knowing what is your calling and what you want out of life (and kink ;))
It was enjoyable and it was a shame that the end felt rushed, as it could have been better developed. Even tough the setting is on a BDSM club, the hot scenes are pretty straight forward, so no surprises there.
This was a fun, fast read. It had more of a story line than most erotic books I've read. That is something I really liked about it. Kaia is a romance writer and goes to a very private kink club and earns a membership. She is planning on learning a few things about kink for an erotica story she is working on. Both this isn't what lands her in hot water with the owners, she has another secret she is keeping. Someone she thinks is a friend that she has confided in is about to expose everything about the club to the public. I really liked the characters. I would like to see Linc get his own book.
This was my first book by Leela Lou Dahlin and it was a pleasure! It was a sexy little read, fast paced and hot. The main character Kaia is an author who is doing research for her new book. She joins Club Kink where she meets the very hot Axel. The BDSM was hot and not too intense, just the right amount to make it hot. This book was well written and edited. I thought it ended a little too soon, but overall it was a good read.
I received an ARC in exhange for an honest review.
Sexy well-written book exploring a timid, curious Kaia's sexuality. Subjects taboo and varied are explored with her Viking lover X. Romance and sex, lust mingle and mix a story with heat and sweetness. Recommended adults
While this is not my usual type of book I found it a fun quick read. It flowed easily. Got to the point instead of dragging on unnecessarily. Nice vivid descriptions 😉. Humor thrown in appropriately. And sexy hotness!
Club Kink is exactly as the name implies. It's a safe place for people to explore their sexual natures and to discover if what they crave is beyond the simple vanilla sex. Kaia Peterson's curiosity has always been piqued when it comes to the club, and when she's invited she finds herself a little nervous to walk through the doors. Until a tall tatted viking rescues her and puts her at ease to finally enter and explore. Axel is mesmerized by the Kaia and her curiosity and well as vulnerability. But as co-owner of the club he's never allowed himself to take on a student or get close anyone. But all the rules are being changed when Kaia asks for Axel as her instructor. This is a fast paced novella, and I can't lie, I kind of figured out what the secret Kaia was hiding before it was revealed. As for Axel's secret...I guess I just think as an owner of a kink club it wouldn't really be something to hide. My biggest issue is that because this was a shorter novella that basically just revolves around Kaia discovering herself we don't get much backstory on either character. Like why is Axel the way he is and so standoffish around women and relationships?
Flipping Her Switch by Leela Lou Dahlin is book 1 in her Club Kink series and can be read as a standalone.
Kaia Peterson is a romance writer and is researching for her new book. Little is known about Club Kink, as members don't speak about what takes place behind closed doors, but Kaia feels it would be the perfect place to start her research. She starts the lengthy application process and whilst attending an introductory event at the club called ‘The Nibble’, she meets Axel Knox and can't keep her eyes off him or his tattoos. Kaia is hiding a secret though; one that could get her thrown out of Club Kink forever.
Axel Knox, known to everyone as ‘X', co-owns Club Kink with his best friend, Linc Maxwell, but focuses on running the business rather than partaking in club activities. He meets Kaia at ‘The Nibble’ and follows her every move as there's something about her that makes her different to any other club applicant or member he's ever seen. X has a secret of his own though: one that could send Kaia running off in the opposite direction.
“Your future could be on the other side of that door, but you’ll only know if you walk through it.” - X to Kaia
This is the first book I've read by Leela Lou Dahlin and it won't be the last, especially for the Club Kink series. Flipping Her Switch had me hooked from the start and things get hot as the story progresses! I loved Kaia and X who find in each other what they didn't realise they needed and allow each other to also be their true selves. Linc is a great friend to X and always has his back but is also willing to give X the push he needs to follow his heart. Poor Kaia isn't as lucky though.
My only complaint about Flipping Her Switch is that it's just not long enough lol. I wanted the story of Kaia and X to continue, along with their very steamy scenes together. The whole concept/idea behind Flipping Her Switch could be used to make a full length novel and I know it would be just as good because this short story is jam packed already and leaves the reader feeling hot under the collar. I fully recommend Flipping Her Switch and will definitely be reading All For Her Pleasure, book 2, when it's released later this year.
Kaia Peterson is looking for some first hand experience before writing her next romance novel which happens to be set in a sex club. She decides to give the exclusive Club Kink a whirl. While she is not quite sure where or how she fits into the world of kink, it seems to be calling to her as a desire she has not yet experienced. She almost chickens our when she happens upon a tall, tattooed and gorgeous alpha of a man who is willing to escort her inside to the meet and greet. Little did she know it was one of the club’s owners.
Axel sees Kaia wavering and knows deep in his gut he can’t let the curvy and inquisitive beauty walk away. He doesn’t do relationships and never takes on training new members . . . but for Kaia, he is willing to break all of his own rules.
Kaia and Axel begin a journey learning about themselves as well as each other . . . but both have secrets. Will they be able to explore the possibility of a relationship while also seeing how they fit sexually or will their realities keep them apart?
Flipping Her Switch by Leela Lou Dahlin was a fantastic start to a hot new series. The chemistry between Kaia and Axel was off the charts, but the book is more than just steamy scenes. I really enjoyed the plot and dialogue as this couple learned to navigate one another. It is a fun and easy read that is fast paced, funny at times, very erotic and has some unexpected twists to keep the reader hooked. I really can’t wait to read more from this author and look forward to the next book in this series to see which couple Club Kink takes on next! 4 stars.
Sizzling hot! Super fast read you will finish in just one sitting! Kaia Peterson is a romance writer doing some research-at Club Kink. When she first walks in and meets one of the owners-Axel, she's immediately drawn to his large burly body and intricate tattoos. Axel doesn't take on students any more-but he's quickly reconsidering this after Kaia expresses interest. As the two form a relationship within Club Kink, Kaia feels as though it's best to keep her other profession from the two owners; Linc and Axel. Her being a freelance writer will not sit well with them and all of the nondisclosure agreements that were signed upon entrance. Every reporter wants a piece of Club Kink, and when one finally gets their story, Axel and Kaia's relationship is put to the ultimate test. This book is a super quick read-and you'll absolutely blow through it. The attraction between Axel and Kaia is fiery hot, and their own Kink scenes were written extremely well. I loved the interaction between the two of them while they were intimate-it wasn't over done and overly cheesy, like so many scenes tend to be. Although this book is quite short, it's evident that the author put great thought into creating the actual Club, and the characters themselves. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for a quick hot read!
Kaia Peterson is headed to Club Kink for the first time and attending "The Nibble" where prospective applicants get a small taste of what the club offers. Kaia is a writer and is looking for some ideas for her next book.
Axel "X" Knox usually keeps his distance from prospective applicants but there is something that draws him towards Kaia and makes him forget all of his usual self imposed rules. When his business partner, Lincoln Maxwell feels there is something that Kaia is hiding, things are about to get interesting.
Will Kaia be able to convince Axel that she is dedicated to him and wants to only learn from him. When it looks like Kaia has betrayed him will he give her a chance to prove her innocence?
Wow - this book was hot and playing pool will never be the same! I loved the innocence and curiosity of Kaia and how she was truly there for the right reasons and fell for Axel right away. Axel knew that Kaia had something he wanted and he didn't want her around any of the other instructors.
I loved the honesty session but apparently it wasn't enough. I really liked the end and what each was willing to give up if needed!
When romance writer Kaia Peterson needs to do some BDSM research, she applies for membership at Club Kink. What she hasn’t disclosed is that she is also a reporter and has always been curious about the club. When her nerves get the better of her, Axel Knox is there to rescue her. Little does she know that Axel is co-owner of Club Kink and a man of mystery. He is mesmerized by the shy, dark haired beauty that just entered the club for new initiation night. He is about to break his rule of getting involved in anything club wise. Kaia has requested a special session with Axel and their exploration of the world of BDSM is about to begin.
This is a short read. That is the one thing that only kept it from more stars. The chemistry was good between Kaia and Axel, but it didn’t seem to allow us to get into more of Axel and Kaia backstory. It went very quick and then was over. This is my first read for this author and I will check out some other books from her. Thank you Leela Lou Dahlin for the chance to read Flipping Her Switch. I look forward to reading more from you.

“Welcome to Club Kink. May you find what you’re looking for.”
Kaia is a romance author who joins Club Kink in hopes of allowing herself to embrace her desires. Before even entering she meets Axel, a tall, tattooed, bear of a man. Both feel a pull towards each other which cannot be denied. Unfortunately, Kaia is keeping a secret that could potentially ruin everything if she's not careful. This book was hot and steamy. Axel has a certain fetish that isn't represented too often and I found myself mesmerized by it and the man himself. The banter between Axel and his business partner/best friend, Linc, is entertaining and had me laughing throughout their conversations. If you are looking for a great short read filled with holy hotness this is definitely for you.
“Thank you for coming to ‘nibble’, and we hope you’d like to take a bigger bite."
Flipping Her Switch was the first book I have read by author, Leela Lou Dahlin. This book was one of the most scorchingly hot books I have ever read. The story of Kaia, a writer and Axel, the coowner of Club Kink was so hot and enticing I could not put the book down. Kaia wanted a different kind of all-consuming sex and Axel was more than willing to be her Guinea pig. The sexual chemistry between the too made me tingle. Axel turned out to be this big protective alpha teddy bear who catered to all of Kaia's desires and wants. This book was a short read and I found myself wishing that it delved more into their relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be looking for more books by this author. For those readers looking for an erotic read, this is a must 5 star read.
So I picked this pretty up at Shameless Book Con this year. And I have to say. As much as I love Leela as a person, I had never picked up a book by her before haha.
And I'm glad I started with this one. It was a really good story. Maybe a tad short (and because of this the story did seem kinda rushed at parts) But it was a nice little intro into the kinky sorta books I like, and hopefully anpretty good series from what I could tell so far. And a good book for someone who is just dabbling in getting into that sort of genre.
The characters were fun and I was definitely intrigued by them. And by the club as well. And I'm totally interested in seeing what may be next for our other club owner down the road.
FLIPPING HER SWITCH was definitely a ⭐⭐⭐⭐4 STAR READ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I'm going to keep my review short and sweet just like this story. If you're a fan of kinky club books, that deliver both a cute story and steam than this is something you'll want to pick up. It's a sweet little morsel of goodness. I kinda wish it were a bit longer so we could really get to know Axel and Kaia but there was enough to enjoy a tasty bit.
I'l admit there is one scene that had me all like "OMG....thats kinda weird." so be ready for that but to each there own...... And as this is a book about a BDSM club it didn't touch too much on that aspect.
If theres a book for Linc in the future I just might have to read that one though.
Kaia is a writer who goes to a sex club to get ideas for a new novel. There she meets Axel Knox, the clubs sexy as sin owner. Axel agrees to be Kaia's instructor and help her learn more about her sexual self. Things get hot and heavy between the two until the secret she was keeping surfaces. Betrayed by someone she thought was a friend, she is forced to leave the club and the tattooed Viking she's come to adore. Will she be given a second chance or will her dishonesty cost her?
Flipping Her Switch is a fast paced, quick read with some hot, hot scenes. I love the easy chemistry between Axel and Kaia. A great book for a quick afternoon read.
You know when you think you can read a chapter or two and finish it the next day? Well, you can't do that with this book! I got drawn right into Kaia's situation - you're there along with her when she feels let down and like she doesn't fit in. But you know Axel couldn't let her leave feeling like that! The interaction between the two - is it business or is it pleasure (lol although his business is pleasure)? The author really knows how to engage the readers into the story, making you walk along beside Kaia. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!
I want more! More Axel, more Kaia, more Linc, more Club Kink!! When a book leaves you wanting more, you know you have a winner. Wish the book had been longer, but a lot was stuffed into what pages there are. Conversations followed easily and some character development without getting bogged down in too much detail for cliches. Axel can take his place with other hot alphas! Kaia is sweet, unsure of herself, while still being strong and smart about what she wants. My only complaint is as an owner of a pool table - they really shouldn't be treating the pool table the way they did. Lol. Can't wait for Linc's story!
Interesting Series Start but Could Use More Discussion of Kink, July 6, 2017
This review is from: Flipping Her Switch: Club Kink Book 1 (Kindle Edition) Kaia was strong, but naive. Axel acted like his secret was shameful, and that made no sense. Partially, it made no sense because while the dialogue was good, the inner monologue/backstory/motivations behind the characters, always remained just out of reach of the reader. It made the pace steady, but left out a lot of the depth that would have improved this shortish book. Also, some missing words and spelling/grammar errors were at times, distracting. Three-point-five stars overall.
This book was pretty great. It was a quick read with enough sizzle to keep things flowing well. I loved the direction the author took her BDSM. It's a bit refreshing and probably more identifiable for people who aren't "all in". I loved that Kaia was plus size but the author didn't make it a crutch. Other authors make it way less empowering to be plus size by making their plus size protagonist's super insecure. The banter between the main characters was cute too. I can almost envision Kaia being a slightly less comical version Melissa McCarthy....and just like that it turns into a light BDSM romcom novel for me.
When goes to Club Kink, before she even enters the club she meets sexy tattooed Axel Knox. They had a spark from the beginning, Axel was all you could ask for in an erotic fantasy!. Kaia didn't really seem like she was going to fit in with Axel, but was I wrong!
Axel is the co owner of Club Kink and when he agrees to take Kaia as his student, things get HOT!
Axel and Kaia are drawn together, they have a strong connection...or is it just an instructor/student relationship? This is a hot sexy read, I couldn't put this book down! Author, Leela Lou Dahlin wrote this story to perfection!
I was excited for this book but there was just something lacking in it. I think I just wasn't able to connect with the characters the way I wanted. I would definitely try another book from this author but I don't think this was the book for me. I heard other people really liked this book but for me I wasn't able to be fully invested Side note the kitten heels I think the me off alot and how they kept getting called fuck me pumps but all I could picture was my great aunt whose a nun who wears kitten heels when she dresses up.
This is my first book by this author and holy hell was it smoking hot! Axel can take my candy any day. This story was fast passed and so good that I couldn't stop turning the pages. Kaia was strong and determined even though she had insecurities and I found that refreshing! Axel will be everyones new book boyfriend for sure. For now though, I would just love to play a game of pool with him. This is not usually my go to story, but Leela had me intrigued from the start. This story is sexy, fascinating, and fresh. I can't wait to see how it ends.
