The Billionaire Dragon's Secret Son

Rate this book
Five years ago, Poppy stole something from George Lancaster. Well, technically two things. The first he knew about, the second... that’s going to come as a bit of a surprise. Now that is an understatement!

Poppy has been on the run, hiding out where no one can find her, or the most precious thing in her life, her son Charlie. But when trouble catches up with them, she has no choice but to seek help from George, a man who wants to get his hands on her...so he can wring her neck.

Ever since that night when she entered his life, dragon shifter George Lancaster has been paying the price. What she stole from him can never be replaced. And he doesn’t just mean the Heartsfire Blade.

No, she stole more than a family heirloom, she stole his future. Because when she vanished out of his life, she took all hope of him ever having an heir with her. Could fate really be that cruel? Thrusting her into his life and into his bed, for one night, and then allowing her to leave, never to be seen again.

But now she’s back. But why? Is this another game? If it is, she’s about to find out she’s met her match.

One way or another, he is going to make her stay right where she belongs.

I saw the title,
It made me laugh.
I picked it up
I hate myself.

.
.
.
I hate myself because I picked this book up, pretty certain I would hate it. I shouldn't have judged a book by its title. But how could I not?!!!

I just wanted to troll this book and shame on me for being the one that got trolled. So who's the biggest clown?

It's so funny how I've read three secret baby trope and this is the first one, I was able to tolerate. I seriously did not mind this (taking in to consideration that I have pretty low expectations for this trope lol)

This was honestly great... Then the last chapter came in and I was like, bitch WHATT?!! The complete 180 made me burst out laughing the author said “Over-the-top” and delivered with abundance. I can't! I'm still laughing.

OTT, Insta-love, secret baby, shape shifting dragon. And both characters orgasm after two pumps... must be a dragon thing idk🤷

She was here. With another dragon. He pushed the door open, knowing he would fight to the death to protect his mate. Even if she was a lying, thieving wench.

Okay, this is the fifth book I am reading from this series in a row. Obviously this series is addictive hahaha

And I think I will have a break from 'Howls Romance' now for a while :)

This story is also a nice combination of shifters' romance and old-fashioned romance.
Father, mother and son (the other dragon) are fine in the end and they live their happily ever after.

I enjoyed this book - about an hour and some change to read.

Thorough story telling for a quick read. Lots of love - not a ton of smut tho.

I'd read more from this author in the future :-)

Poppy the thief and George the Dragon... only she didn't know he was a dragon.
I get the feeling this will have books to follow but it is good on it's own. Pretty straight forward shifter-world building. Lots of holes in the plot and some stuff is ridiculously OTT, like their careers, but I didn't let it bother me too much.
Poppy had promised her mother on her death bed that she would always help her brother. Only that has gotten more difficult as her brother has turned into scum of the Earth. The last time she helped him she ended up sleeping with George and getting pregnant before absconding with the ancient knife that her brother had requested.
Not trusting her brother, she did a runner when she found out she was pregnant and has been in hiding for the last 5 years.
George's life has been hellish ever since. His mate stole from him and made him a laughing stock among Dragons. But don't let that worry you too much. They are both adults and know how to communicate...
It's a short story, so lots of parts go unanswered but there is an HEA.

The Billionaire Dragons Secret Son is pretty good for a Novella. I read it free on Kindle Unlimited but I would not have paid to read it as it cost as much as a full length e book. Poppy the heroine has a secret. She has had the son of a billionaire George Lancaster. Poppy had stolen a family relic from George. At the same time she was seduced by him. A few months later she realizes she is pregnant. The people come after her that she stole for and her son Charlie who is now 4 years old. She has no where to turn but to Charlie's father George. Unbeknown to Poppy George is a dragon shifter and so is her son. This was a cute romantic story.

This was mostly meh for me. It has alot of the elements I usually love in shifter romances, and even with the secret baby trope, I was down for it. And then, nothing much happens. The moments that could have really fleshed out the story fell flat, the chemistry was lackluster and the action sequences were sketched out. Basically, it's the shell of a good story, not a fully realized one. Also, there's a bit of OM contact, just a little and for a purpose, but *shakes head* yeah, I just didn't like it.

Oh yeah! Now this is how it's done! My favorite of the series so far. This book was smart, sexy, romantic and amazing. It features mature MCs who actually have a conversation when they have a problem. And the mystery of the dagger was a nice added touch to the story.

Not one of this authors better books, it is too short to do such a good convoluted story justice.
This could have been great if we were given more time to warm to Poppy and for Poppy to really deal with her brother and redeem herself. As a novella it was just the wrong length to get these feelings across. I liked the last third of this book much more as it moved well and had lots going on even though Poppy and George were together without any real communication.
I never like stories that start out with deceit, lies (by omission) or betrayal. This has all three plus theft.
When you steal something to bail your brother out of trouble once again, then get betrayed by said brother and then find yourself pregnant, WHY would you not contact the man you stole from and the father of your child to try to right your wrong.
Sorry but Poppy just did nothing but aggravate me with her attitude, her shame over being tricked and betrayed means nothing against your child's safety.
I was totally on George's side in this and felt sad and angry for all he had gone through due to Poppy stealing from him.
I think where the author went wrong was in having Poppy being deceived by her brother AGAIN and not for the first time. If the author had Poppy being deceived and tricked by her brother due to her fantastic job and not a common theme throughout their lives, I think this would have read easier, except it still would not exonerate her for not owning up to George about her pregnancy.
This is my honest review of this book.

The things we do for family will often leave us in the deepest trouble possible, or lead us to the greatest treasures of our lives. At the moment, Poppy certainly would believe the first part of that and hope that the second proves to be true Far more true than she deserves. Her actions on one fateful night of her life has changed so many things for so many people. Now the only place she can think of to head for safety is back into the arms of the man she once harmed the most – and pray for mercy.

In one night, George had found everything he could have ever wanted… and lost more than he could have imagined. He’s been on the trail of his mate for years now… and for the item she stole from him. The absolute last place he thought to find her was in his home this time breaking in, holding precious cargo and asking for sanctuary. Little did she know then that he would never, ever lose her again.

The Billionaire Dragon’s Secret Son is a delightful tale of stolen treasure, a woman’s love, complete and utter evil, one dragon’s determination to return his mate to his side, and choices. I love the Howls Romance line, and this time around Harmony Raines has given us what she’s well known for – a compelling, emotional and sexy romance. Hard to ask for much more than this. Enjoy.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

This story is short, fast paced and an easy read. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. I liked Poppy. I didn’t agree with what she did but I understood her reasons. I liked George I liked that he still wanted his mate even after what she had done. I did see some chemistry between them but would’ve liked a little more.
I liked that George didn’t try and take Charlie away from Poppy. He was determined to claim Poppy and never let her go again.
I liked Alfie. I liked the friendship he had with George and the one he built with Poppy. I also liked that he protected Charlie.
I liked that Poppy and George worked together to bring Zavier down.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read.

She stole something from his family and he were shunned for it. He had to prove that he was still a strong dragon so he build up his empire made more money than all the other dragon clans. When she was being hunted by the one that got her to steal the dragons blade she has to have help protecting her son which is also his son that he knows nothing about. He can't turn her away and he's in shock over his son so he will have to keep her close to find out what's going on. The one time they were together he knew then that she was his life mate. The book is cute reads like a Harlequin but I like them.

Great Exciting Read

Poppy and George are fated mates, only she didn't know it. He is powerful and she is feisty and smart. Both have extremely acute senses of loyalty and duty to their families. They both need each other but distrust gets in the way of reconciliation. He is a dragon shifter who only has one mate. Even though she is deeply attracted to him, she has no knowledge of the fated mate concept. The sex scenes they have are steamy. In the end they are able to work together as a team.

Definitely read it...

Poppy met and fell for George Lancaster at a party...then did the unthinkable and stole an important family artifact from him. Something unusual for her, but her brother's life was at stake!
George looked for her...and revenge...for several years. Then Poppy came back asking for his protection, but she was not alone.
Would George forgive her or put her out on the street?
A mix of trouble, angst, duplicity, excitement n and romance!
Typical great story by Harmony!

A beautiful story with a bit of intrigue

This is a sweet story that begins and ends with the things we do for family. Although the details were slim, Poppy has a certain unique set of skills, no clue as to how she got them, but she is forced to use them to save a family member. The story begins with her in hiding then moves quickly to a double cross and a plot twist. The action is steady and it is interesting to read. It was a quick and enjoyable read with easy to understand characters and motivations.

Dragons, Danger, Desire, Destiny

Poppy never truly believed that family would turn on each other but then again she did know her bother prettty well. She knew that he would do anything that would benefit himself. That included using her to steal from someone and then using her and her child to gain money and power. George however just knew that he had found his mate. Then she stole something very prescious from him the turned out to be two precious things from him. But their desire and the mounting danger may prove to them that fate hold sway over us all.

Charlie and the dragon

It started out as a heist to save her brother. All Poppy had to do was steal a special dagger. She stole it from George, a Dragon, who mated with her and gave her a child. Poppy found that the bad guys were coming and went to George for protection. Well-written with well-developed characterization but short. Adult readers due sexual and violent content. It is like an outline of a good book easily read in a couple of hours

Happy!

This is my third Howls Romance by various authors and I found it truly entertaining. I loved the chemistry and family dynamics between George, Poppy, little Charlie and Alfie the butler. These romances are short and easy to read with a happily ever after. My only complaint is I wish the story would go on forever.

Theft of the heart

This story is about choices and consequences. The hero and heroine made a choice and their son was the result. She is a strong heroine who values her word, family is very important to her, and she doesn't want to have to choose between family. Circumstances force their hand though and our heroine has to choose and she is glad for the choice she makes.

Well written story

I like the relationship between Poppy and George. This romance could have been bogged down by them rehashing past hurts and mistrust. Instead it focused on the practical matter of their son's safety, leaving them open to their feelings for each other. This route made the characters enjoyable and an all together pleasant read.

This is the tenth book in the Howls Romance series by various authors and this one was written by Harmony Raines. George Lancaster is a successful businessman and a dragon shifter. He's the head of his clan and in charge of keeping the Heartsfire Blade, a jewel encrusted dagger dating back to the Vikings that is capable of killing any dragon safe. Poppy went to George's house to steal the Heartsfire Blade she never intended to fall into his bed and have amazing sex with him. It's now five years later and George has never stopped searching for the blade or the woman that stole it and just so happens to be his fated mate. Poppy not only walked away with the blade five years ago she was also pregnant and now has a son named Charlie. She stole the blade to help her brother but she was double crossed by him and the dangerous people he was working with. When danger comes for her and Charlie she fleas to the only man that can keep her and her son safe she only hopes he can forgive her.

Not A bad stoy.

There's not enough to this to really get a feel for the characters and their world. The story is interesting, but I didn't feel close enough to any of the characters to care about their plight. They bounce back from everything too quickly for it to be considered realistic to me.

Better than previous books, but not by much

Usually, her books read like they are meant for 15-16 year olds and not a mature audience. When I got this book, i didn't even check the author. If i knew it was her i would've never gotten it. I was half way done when i realized. Imagine my surprise.

A very interesting story. Some mystery and action but not very in depth story. I like Harmony Raines books but I found this lacking compared to others she has written and I have read.

Poppy sure did get herself into a major pickle, how is she going to explain her deception when she returns to George asking for protection for something she did to him and his clan? Only reading will get those answers, and I highly recommend a copy of this book today :-)

Fun read.

Interesting story line. Fun relatable characters. There was since stuff with the heroines family that I felt could have used more explantation, but other wise it was well done.
Few typos, but not many.
Would recommend.

Wow!

What a lovey story. It had love, action and Dragons. When a thief stills a knife, who knew that lobe would be involved! But when Poppy met George that's what happened with lots of action too!
