Soft Pleasure

An alternate cover for this ASIN can be found here.

The truth can either ruin you or set you free.

SOPHIA SOFT
Freaks like me can’t do relationships, not when there are huge parts of yourself you can’t let anyone see. No matter how strong the pull between us, no matter how crazy his touch makes me, I can’t have Gunnar Bodolf. But he knows things about me and my past – things I’m desperate to know, too.

GUNNAR BODOLF
The chemistry between us is exquisite. Powerful. Primitive. Sophia Soft wants me as much as I want her. I came back a lone wolf with one mission, to connect the infamous witch with her forgotten power. Now wild fantasies have added another tantalizing desire, get her in my bed and make her mine.

Truth. Power. Lust. Not necessarily in that order.
Wolven Moon reading order:
Soft Shatter (special buy-one-get-one bonus offer in back of the Kindle book)
Soft Fate
Accidental Lovers (can be read as a standalone)
Soft Pleasure
Soft Seduction (coming summer 2017)

*** For the best reading experience, read Soft Shatter and Soft Fate first. Those books start the mystery surrounding the Soft sisters. Otherwise, you may feel lost at a few points in this story. ***

***** Due to vivid love scenes and naughty language, Wolven Moon novels are intended for ages 18+ *****

I think this is my favorite book so far in this series! There's just something about Sophia and Gunnar's relationship that just made me fall in love with them.
While Sophia begins to tap into her childhood memories and her magic, Gunnar tries to control his wolf and let her figure things on her own. Even though he knows at first glance, she is his mate, it's not time for him to claim her.

The Soft Sisters’ story continues as we meet, Sophia, the oldest of the Soft witches. Unlike Shavone, she has not been raised as a witch. Other witches and wolves, who are part of her life in one fashion or another- anywhere from caretakers to her best friend and her family, too, protect her. Her life is rather simplistic, working as an historian and hanging out with friends and family. That is, until, she meets Gunnar Bodolf, a lone alpha wolf, who is the cousin of her best friend, Carine. Immediately, she has another awakening, this one of a sexual nature. Gunnar stirs emotions and fantasies within her that are so raw and hungry.

Gunnar Bodolf is visiting his cousin for a while before heading back out on another adventure. Gunnar does not like to stay long in one place. Born an Alpha, he is considered a lone wolf, because he chooses not to have a pack. However, he exhibits all of the qualities of the Alpha both authoritative and highly sexual. Gun does not do relationships. He loves women and sex, but with no emotional ties or commitments. He has never attached to anyone, so he has no desire for a mate. That is, until, he meets Sophia Soft. He knows that she is trouble with the way his heart and body react immediately towards Sophia.

Once, she learns about her power, both as a witch and as a sexual being, she is hungry. She cannot get enough of either, but especially, Gunnar. There is no putting this genie back in the bottle. She wants it anytime and anywhere. Her passion knows no boundaries, and she even surprises Gunnar a time or two.

I liked this book because we finally find out about the oldest sister. It is interesting that she is unaware of her heritage and the power that is in her, only that she is drawn to witchcraft. Unlike Shavone, who was raised as a witch, Sofia does not understand the craft, but she feels it in her bones. She has no idea how powerful she is. She has to learn, though, and quickly, when the hunters are on the move.

All I have to say about Gunnar is YUMMY! Oh, he is so steamy, and Sofia’s sexual awakening is very sensual. He wants to take his time with her, but no matter what he does, he cannot behave. Her presence alone makes his pants very uncomfortable at times.

As usual, the sex is explosive. The many locations and ways they are together left me breathless. While they took hot, hot, hot, showers, I had to take cold showers.

I read a ton of books and I can honestly say I love this series. I can't pinpoint exactly why, but I know that the characters actions sometimes infuriate me, their pigheadedness make me pull my hair out, and their snarky interactions make me chuckle. One thing I am is never bored-so kudos. I just keep having to click on "purchase" for the next book every time I finish one to see how the plot develops. By the time I reached Soft Pleasure, which is Book 4 in the Wolven series, I fell in love with the storyline and community that Dany Rae Miller has invented. Each book is a standalone, but basically revolve around the same three sisters who are witches (but have had their memories shrouded for their own protection). The books describe the life of each sister (2 of them so far) and friends. What happened to their families? Why have their memories been tampered with? Who are these men/wolves who are protecting them? These are just some of the questions Ms. Miller has us asking-and answering slowly in the series. I love books which have their own "endings" yet still manage to suck you in to continue reading. The only frustrating aspect of the book for me is that each chapter begins with a different POV, which in itself works great, but can sometimes get confusing as to who's speaking. Maybe a chapter title that includes the name of the POV would help. Other than that, this book is a great way to relax, suspend a little reality (though nothing super, unbelievably unrealistic happens), and enjoy!

This one moved a bit slow for me and I wasn't sure about the ending. Yet the relationship between Gunnar and Sophia is compelling.

Every time I read a Wolven Moon novel I don't see how they can get any better, but they always do! Sophia and Gunnar's story is unlike any of the other books in the series and it is probably one of my favorites! Cant wait until the Soft sisters are reunited!
