Dr. Slavin’s book on economics in America should have a place in every university, college and public library. It’s that important a book. It could well be used as a text for teaching economics in high schools and colleges. For those of us who care about what happens to our nation, this book should be on every person’s bookshelf.

Dr. Slavin cites specific problems in our economy. He takes an historical view, discussing how a great nation was built and where it has gone wrong. But the author is not merely a pessimistic economist. He actually looks for solutions to what has become an increasing downhill slide in our national economy.

This book is well-written, offers lucid, readable language and clear explanations. Dr. Slavin’s work is detailed and thorough. It is a valuable resource. I highly recommend it.
