This book offers some technical chart analysis using BARCHARTS, the type most commonly used during pre-Internet era, not candlesticks like what most use these days. Thus, in a way, some of the format used are pretty dated indeed. Some of the chart patterns and observations Larry made in the book are common knowledge, I dont think any of it are "secrets" in any ways. He refuted most of the mainstream indicators but instead advocated the use of OBV (On-Balance Volume) and A/D (accumulation/distribution) indicators. In the end, he made the same hypothesis as the rest of the people who is looking for when using these "lagging" indicators i.e. price/indicator divergence. For instance, when price made a higher high and these indicators made a higher low, this is a sign of bearishness and signals a potential change in trend. On the other hand, when price made a lower low and indicators made a lower high, this is bullish. These to me are basically general knowledge about all indicators like the MACD, RSI or the Stochastics, they are provide a similar conclusion. Also, nothing in trading is one size fits all, they are not secrets, it is more art than science and it all depends on the user. The author might be a successful trader, but this book is nothing spectacular and personally I didnt takeaway much reading it. Clickbait title. 2/5.

Not as technical as I originally thought. Interesting concepts, though some of it seems a little bit dated.
