When the heart pours, where does the content go? When the mind needs to clear some space, what becomes of the tangled thoughts?
What The Woman Wrote: Thoughts In Notes is Annie’s first poetry book, an effort to capture these words —once prancing around in the soul, gallivanting in headspace—, in hopes to crystallize the thoughts within. Her words used to find home in pages and pages of diaries. These days, they take shape mostly in the form of poetry, scattered in the realm that is the world wide web.
They are words of light and darkness, of tears and laughter, of love and dreams, but most of all, these are words of life, helping the mind make sense of things and keep its sanity. Many more thoughts are still lost in the ether, but she plans to corral them, one word at a time.
I think if you follow Annie on Twitter you won't be disappointed with this book. It is full of longing and love, and micropoetry, a style that Annie excels at. I am content I have a signed copy of this book in my poetry collection. Go check her out on Twitter and follow Annie's daily poetic tweets @anniescribes.
