Tessa Holden knew since she was ten that her family wasn’t normal but she never thought she’d be able to leave their doomsday philosophy behind her. Not until her grandmother dies. Now she’s riding motorcycles, attending bonfire parties, all while trying to deal with large bikers invading her home. Will she run from the darkness her family warned her about or will she discover that sometimes the darkness is worth the happiness it can bring?

Tyler ‘Buck’ Fenton wasn’t the same when he returned from Afghanistan and the sweet innocence of the life he’d led before he left was gone. Joining the Grave Diggers MC saved his life but it also meant he wasn’t on anyone’s nice guy list. The club was his life until a woman with a sassy mouth and eyes the color of emeralds walked into his world. Now he’s furnishing her house with the finest things, begging for forgiveness and hoping he can keep her. Only when the darker parts of his life rear their ugly heads, he will have to choose—to keep her or to keep her safe.

I've read other series by this author and enjoyed them so I one clicked this one. It was well on the way to being a 4.5 or even 5 star read for me but a couple of things knocked it back.
1) One of my personal little idiosyncrasies is why do authors pick silly names for MC clubs? The Grave Diggers MC is good but when the rival club is the Tricky Dicks MC I just rolled my eyes. What I considered to be a good, serious love story lost some of the zing every time the Tricky Dicks came up.
2) The basic story was really capturing me until about the last 15% of the book when the h turned into one of those really OTT super women. And the way Buck decided to "let her go" was kind of stupid in a way.
Overall I really liked the book. Buck was your usual OTT alpha male with a vow never to commit but then he met Tessa. He turned into the alpha-male who is so sweet, protective and had no qualms about doing things for Tessa. Tessa, who ran away from the doomsday compound she was born and raised in, is a strong heroine. The doomsday group are not the evil villains in the story. In fact they seemed to be really similar to the MC.
I would recommend this one if you want a lite MC with little angst/grit but with a love story that ends with a HEA.

Let me start by saying Michelle Omg this was your best book written to date.
I have read everything this author has put out.
This story kept me engaged from beginning to end. It was original and fresh. I stayed up most of the night to finish it.
Tessa was a sassy take care of herself kind of girl.
Except with Buck. She would put her foot down and be sassy with him but she wouldn't flip him over her back like she did with most people that tried to man handle her.
Buck just wouldn't take no for an answer.
This man went for what he wanted and didn't stop until he got it.
I did shed a few tears but I also laughed my butt off.
I can't wait to see whose story is next.

Good read

Love the characters. Tessa is a strong, independent female character, love the fact Michelle Woods wrote her that way. Love her writing style.

Can't wait for the next book.

This book surprised me. Tessa actually won me over before Buck did. I always love me an alpha male but sometimes even the alpha needs to be knocked down a peg. The way the author brought in other characters has me looking forward to the many different book idea's they opened up. This book was easy to read with a nice flow.

Hot Alpha Male

Holy cow!! This was hotter than hot
I loved how hot and how much of an alpha male Buck was.
Tessa was a kick butt woman and I loved it, she could definitely take care of herself
Their chemistry was off the charts and the sex scenes were way hot, melted my panties!
This is a great book! Definitely recommend

This COULD have been an awesome book, but the author decided to dumb down the characters instead of fleshing them out as the story developed. So you got one heroine strong enough to throw men on their backs, but so fragile, she can watch her man dumping her with tears in her eyes, and not being able to confront him on it. Hmmm give me a break, I have no time for idiot "alphas" and TSTL women.

Love a MC

I really like Ms Woods books she's has an alpha male but also an alpha female. She also has a lot of humor in her books and always finds an angle that's different from other M C books I've read.

Excellent

Another awesome book by Michelle Woods! I've waited quite a while for another read. I couldn't put it down once I started but I'll have to wait until the next book to decide if it can come close to the Red Devils or Blue Bandits series.

Quite a good read

I really enjoyed this - absolutely loved Tessa and how she let her man think he could get the better of her. I loved how Buck found himself in a relationship inspite of not wanting one.

A new author for me and I didn't want to jump off a cliff after I was done reading. It was a good read. The characters were good, secondary characters were funny and the plot kept my interest.

I enjoyed the hell out of this! Buck losing his shit over Tessa’s rejection was so amusing. He was OTT jealous/possessive and I ate it right up!

Buck

Buck a club member has found his one but she's not an average citizen. She was raised on a pepper compound and can take care of herself. A good first book in this series.
