Jennifer Sebastiano likes having control of her life. As a psychic, more control is always better. Her lovers, Danny Valentine and Peter Vthoulkas feel pretty much the same way for similar reasons. But life has a way of turning sideways for everybody, even Division P operatives--maybe especially Division P operatives. When Danny’s mental protections start to fail and Jen runs into a mugger, Peter’s suddenly got his hands full. As their lives get complicated, none of the three likes living four or five hours apart, but Jen isn’t sure she wants to turn her life completely upside down to move nearer the guys either. Why is it always the woman who has to upend her universe when relationships get serious? Now life has dumped a whole lot of trouble into their laps and the three of them have to figure out how to handle it all. These are the sorts of issues that either pull lovers closer together--or split them apart. And it’s pretty much up to Jen to decide which it will be.

The weekend commutes are a complete hassle, but Jennifer Sebastiano is not quite ready to root up her life and move south. She loves the guys more than anything though, so she is going to have to think long and hard about what her priorities are. Seeing their girl a couple of days here and there is starting to grate for Danny Valentine and Peter Vthoulkas, especially when they need each other so much. She is more than just their lover; she is the piece that makes them whole. With their psi capabilities, Jen, Danny, and Peter rely on each other even more when times get tough. Nothing is worse than being hurt or sick in a strange place, and for them, anywhere in a general public setting could spell disaster. Division P’s facilities are perfect for people with their talents, yet it is not all that conducive to family living. Danny and Peter love Jen so much it is killing them having her live so far away, but if or when she is ready to move is something they know cannot be forced. The strengths and weaknesses of Jen, Danny, and Peter are wonderfully balanced by their unwavering love and support for each other. There is nothing one would not do for the others, right down to laying their life on the line. I love that they are completely comfortable with each other regardless of who is with whom or if one of them is busy somewhere else. This series is off-the-charts sexy with characters whose intelligence and love for each other makes the reading just that much better.
