I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I thought this was a very sexually charged book. I found it a bit unsettling that he thought it was ok to tell her she reminded him of his dead wife. I felt bad for her. I loved there sexual relations it was very steamy. I will read more from this author. I really like her style of writing.

Driving the red luxury sports car, top down, at 245 mph for the final test was exhilarating for billionaire Rod Blackmore, especially after all the work he had put into this design over the past 3 years. The balance still wasn’t absolutely perfect and it had to be ready in a week. He gave the design team two days to fix it or this team was fired just like the one before!
Chloe, a plus size model, was on her third latte at the coffee shop. Stubbornly refusing to lose 20 pounds, she was not getting many of the modeling jobs now – just head shots for the most part. But her agent called her about a big project in Milan! She was so excited, until he told her it was for the auto show there. She was about to refuse but Drew said the CEO was on the line and wanted to interview her in an audio-conference right now! She had 15 minutes to compose herself. With no makeup and no time to get home, she ran to the bathroom to join the interview. A very strange interview indeed! He stared at her in silence, then said, “You’re hired. A car will pick you up in 5 days. Don’t be late.” And he hung up! How is this going to work out with a strong, principled woman and a billionaire player who uses women and tosses them away? A great short read about a hot billionaire, Rod, who has been a womanizer for years until he sees Chloe, a plus size model. Chloe makes him feels things he hasn't felt in years and starts a brief relationship. Brief meaning having a steamy encounter and then not seeing her for a while. Chloe is torn as she can't resist him but after the last time she is done with him and goes on to repair her heart. When he shows up at her last modeling gig for him, will she let him in or is he too late.
A great short read with steamy scenes and a man who is finally admitting that the feelings he thought were dead and buried resurface. I was hoping that the author would have written a little more from his POV especially what he was feeling and doing during his time away from Chloe and that Chloe would have expressed her feelings more as to what she felt after he left her all those times.

I got this as an ARC for my honest opinion and review. I have read a couple of books by Holly Jaymes and the more I read the more I fall in love with her writing style and her spin on telling a romantic story. This adventure takes to the fast track of driving, love and life. Rod has been working on a protect for three years and it has to be ready, but times it running out. He tells the team they have only days to fix or they are fired like the one before them. Chloe is a plus sized model trying to find her way in the industry, but she is refusing to loss any weight. That is when she gets a call from her agent that there is a show in Milan at an auto show. Chloe does not want to take the job but her agent tells her that the CEO is on the line and wants to interview her right away. She gets hired and if it off to Milan. How will the two of them work together? I know, but you will have to find out yourself. Happy reading.

I really enjoyed this book a lot, but I'm not giving away a lot of details in this review. That's for you to red and find out. Just know I'm saying this completely honestly, I loved it!. Yes it's a brooding ex-race car driver, but once you get his backstory, you really get to understand him more. Things with these two aren't what they seem at all, but that just makes it more enjoyable. Being a curvy model has its downfalls, mainly there's not much work, but being hired for this job was a change she was ready for, even if she wasn't ready for everything that came with the job. I have recommended it to friends and have heard great things so far. Congrats on the release and I cannot wait to see more of your work. I loved Hot Rod from Holly Jaymes! A model who society puts in the plus size category meets a billionaire former race car driver and now out to make a breakthrough in luxury sports cars. When Chloe gets the call from her manager that she has been asked for specifically as the model for a to be revealed sports car at first she balks, until she has her video "interview" with Roderick Blackmore, Rod. Rod is drawn to Chloe in ways he hasn't since his late wife, but has a lot to remember about being with a real woman and not just an instant gratification that he's used to. I loved Chloe's self assured attitude, being comfortable in her own skin and Rid is thrown for a loop when he realizes his feelings for her. I received this book in advance for a voluntary honest review. This was my first Holly Jaymes book and I have to say I did enjoy it. It was short but had steam. Rod is a billionaire retired race car driver who has made it his mission to design the fastest luxury vehicle in the world. Chloe is a plus sized model that he hires to promote his car at the car show in Milan. Instant attraction hits but Rod becomes cold after each encounter. Spurned for the last time Chloe goes home and finally gets offers to model but has one last shoot to fulfill her contract. Rod and Chloe come together again but had Rod gotten his act together? Emotions run high but so does the steam.

I really enjoyed the book and fell in love with Chloe from the start. It's nice to read about a strong Women with curves. Not all strong and successful women are size 2.
It did take me a bit for Rod to grow on me. I really didn't like him in the beginning. But, Rod finally opened his heart and we found out why he was the way he was. Good Read. The only thing I didn't like was that it was to short. I would love to read more of Chloe and Rod's story.

I enjoyed reading this book as it was a quick and good read. It is the first I've read by this author and I would definitely read more! I liked how Chloe was a plus sized model who wasn't going to allow people to tell her that she wasn't good enough because she wasn't stick thin! She loved herself for who she was and if others didn't, then screw them! Rod was a little irritating because of how he treated Chloe, and I know it was because he was still struggling with his past but come on. In the end though, he came through and was the sweet guy that I knew he could be!

When Chloe is about to give up being a plus size model, her agent calls her with an unbelievable opportunity to be a model for the showcase of the billionaire's sportscar, Rod Blackmore. Chloe's and Rod's chemistry is off the charts, but Rod's actions toward Chloe leaves her hurt and confused.
Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written full of romance, and a must read love story.

Good steamy read about a race car driver and a plus-size model. Rod wasn't that likable at first, but he grew on me. I liked Chloe as a BBW model. She and Rod had great chemistry, even though she didn't realize it at first. Hot and fast, and I was wishing it had a little more back story and character development. Still, it was a good, satisfying quickie. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Rod hires Chloe over a video conference, regardless of the fact that she isn't the industry standard twig, for an auto show in Milan. This was a very quick, but enjoyable read. I liked the chemistry between the two main characters and the hot and sexy times they shared. A point was deducted for grammatical issues.

"Not so Hot" Rod.
Not really much to say. For me, I felt that neither the male or female character had any depth or development. Their relationship never made sense to me and even after finishing the book I am not actually clear about the events that led up to the ending. I wish I had enjoyed it more and will try another of this author's books in hopes that this attempt at a story was just a fluke.

This was a very entertaining book. I liked the characters and the plot was interesting. However it was a tad predictable from the moment you learn about Gen. It was never fully explained what happened to her nor why specifically Rod runs from Chloe but the romance was sweet and the intimate scenes were scorching hot. It was a good book for a new writer. I see potential in Holly Jaymes' writing. I think she will only get better with experience.

Hot Rod by Holly Jaymes is a great read. A fast paced story that gets pretty emotional at times. This was my first read by Holly but I will certainly be looking for more.

A steamy hot read. Rod comes off a jerk but he has issues he has to work and once he has worked out his issues he gives his heart freely to Chloe who stole it from their first meeting.

I enjoyed this book it was a quick, easy and steamy read. Also it was great to read about the main female character as an ordinary normal sized woman. It's a fast, quick paced read with a HEA ending.

I voluntary reviewed an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed this fun and fast read of Chloe and Rod. She's a model and he is former race car driver who now makes fast sports cars. Rod is looking for a model to help promote his newest car at and upcoming car show in Milan. Chloe isn't to keen of the idea at first. The two meet and from there it seems that its a fast paced race to love and an HEA. I absolutely loved this story!

This was an easy read. Rod is a former race car driver, and he has designed a luxury car and needs a model to be the face of the campaign. Chloe is a model who is struggling to get consistent work. The moment Rod sees Chloe, he is immediately attracted to her and hires her.
It is a race to the finish line of a HEA with plenty of speed bumps along the way.

This is not the kind of book I usually go for, I am pleased that I read it though as I really did enjoy it.
By the end of the first chapter It had me hooked. I laughed, I got frustrated with the characters so ended up shouting at them and yes I even shed a tear or two.
A really good read. Worth the 5 stars I have given it.

May 22, 2017Received an ARC for an honest review. This is the first story I've read by Holly Jaymes and I really enjoyed it. The chemistry between Rod and Chloe was quick and I was worried since Rod is a player. The ride was fast like his race car. But like his car, Rod is missing "balance" too. Is Chloe the one who can make him whole? If your looking for a HEA this book is for you.
