knowing what the future holds is everyone’s dream. Having the life of your dream seems out of reach sometimes, and finding security 100% of the time seems to require wisdom that is impossible. If there is a way to have these things many of us would take it without hesitation! That’s why we wish and daydream, and cry out when we are in pain. We want more! The unanswerable question today is How do I get my prayers answered? How does prayer really work? What does it mean to watch and pray! How do I achieve spiritual enlightenment as a Christians? Is a Christian supposed to work for enlightenment? In the past, you may have tried to use prayer as a response to a problem but all you could think ‘What am I going to do about my situation’? ‘I can’t tell anyone what’s going on but I need to talk to someone, who can I turn to’? ‘I’m a Christian so can I make this law of attraction thing work for me?’ ‘How do I use law of attraction without compromising my faith?’ ’ now that I am a Christian I have so many problems, what am I supposed to do to get answers?’ ‘what if I don’t know the best way to pray about my problem, where do I go next’? When we want to learn something new we either find a class, or use a manual that tells us what ingredients or items to use, and what to do to get the result described. But if you are like me you want to know why each element works and with this new knowledge, you feel comfortable that you can get the best results because you know how each element works when handled and used properly. Now, you become more confident but still cautious at first. The thing is, you will think this way because you don’t want to fail, but unless you move from collecting knowledge to putting it into practice, your new skill will not become second nature. The Law of Attraction (LoA) is said to have similar components to prayer, so here the author looks at any phenomenon in prayer that looks coincidental to find out how it might be addressed by scientific evidence to show why LoA is only half of the story. In her book, Jen takes the religious subtext commonly practiced through intricate, or vague interpretations and examines them against what scripture says for clarity and validity. email thegapmindset@gmail.com
Well worth the read. The book explores what prayer is and why we can attract what we want, what are the benefits of prayer, what causes most prayers to go unanswered, and how to prat for others. It is a book for seekers, individuals who are looking for enlightenment and spiritual growth.
