**This is a short 4,000-word prequel to my dark romance series, Keep Me. It contains adult content for mature readers.**
To say I had a rough start in life would be the understatement of the century.
My uncle rescued me from my abusive childhood, but he couldn't save me from the neurotic and compulsive obsessions I would develop later in my adulthood.
I crave perfection, and I'm willing to obtain it...no matter what the cost.
My next purchase will be exactly what I need. I'll make sure of it.
She will be absolutely perfect.
**Keeping Her, book one of the Keep Me dark romance series, will be released on 7/7/17 and is available for pre-order on Amazon now!**

This was a short quick read that I liked. This story was told from Lucien's POV as a child and an adult. He had a horrible childhood until his uncle rescues him. This was a good short quick read that I wanted more of. This was my first time reading this author this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Tão curtinho, apenas uma introdução do que vem pela frente. Óbvio que deixou o gostinho de quero mais, mas vou esperar porque vi que o próximo livro não tem final e eu não quero morrer esperando pela continuação hahahahahaha.
Wow! I'm absolutely intrigued about this story. Powerful and lots of angst in such a few pages. Can't wait for the first book to come out and start reading.
This is a prequel to the series. It’s tough to read and it is also repeated verbatim in book 2, so it’s not a required read. However, i liked having the knowledge going into book 1 just because I may have disliked the MMC otherwise. He’s 100% a good guy but he has his quirks, not to mention the whole purchasing virgins thing, but this prequel really explains it all.
Keeping her Prequel by Angela Snyder an amazing four-star read. This is a prequel to Keeping her and book 0.5 in the Keep me series. It’s a very short read, but it packs a huge punch. Its short and dark, but well worth the read, this shows us the promise of the series to come and I for one can’t wait to find out more about Levi’s story. Can’t wait to read more!!
Angela Snyder really peaked my curiosity with the prequel to Keeping Her. I can't wait to read more about Lucien when Keeping Her comes out. Lucien was survived from trauma by his uncle and now has access to a lifestyle that allows him to indulge in his needs. His needs are dark and had me intrigued and again can't wait for his full book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I was given a read/review copy of this book, I don't have previous experience of this authors writing. I note this book has been referred to as a dark read,I agree that some of the issues within the book are of a dark nature, however, they are not as graphically described as in some other books I have read, I like this writing style, there is enough information for you to know what is happening without in-depth gory details. I found myself empathising with Adeline, talk about being between a rock and a hard place, I loved the ending of this book, and I can't wait to read the next book.
Intriguing prequel to what sounds like it is going to be a good, dark read. Lucien has had a hell of a childhood, so I'm looking forward to finding out how he handles life with all the trauma of his past.
Well, dark is the only word I can think of that describes Keeping Her.
This prequel is just three chapters but they set the tone for what I think the storyline will be. In chapter one, we're introduced to 11 year old Lucien from his POV. He's a sad, abused little boy. In the following two chapters we learn what becomes of him and what his desires are. The prequel has definitely intrigued me to see where the author is going to go with his story.
As the last daughter of a mob boss, Adeline has certain standards that she is being held to. She is the one tasked with marrying the one her father chooses for her and providing an heir to his empire. Even with all the abuse she has to endure at her fathers hands, she still holds a certain amount of innocence. So when she is kidnapped and sold to Lucien, she has no clue the true level and depth of deception in her life. Lucien has such a dark history that everything in his life has to be perfect. His OCD tendencies even include no touching, which means the first kissing scene between Adeline and him is scorching hot. Neither one wants to admit to the level of passion between them, but it may be too late to admit anything at this point. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens. I loved this book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I am totally intrigued!!! I like where the story is going. It was only 2 chapters and I'm already hooked in. I am now seriously looking forward to July 7th. It looks like it's going to be a fantastic book! Always love a bad boy who comes from messed up beginnings!!!
I read this after reading Angela's ARC of keeping her. Wow! Poor lucien. In this book you learn a little more on the main character, Lucien, and why he does the things he does. If you want to read this series, you should read this one too.

I read this before I read Keeping Her #1, and I'm glad I did. Luc really would come off as a monster in that book if you didn't understand where he came from and why he was the way he was. This book is heartbreaking, but thankfully it's short and it just establishes the history and mindset for Luc before the main book starts. If you're going to read Keeping Her, you owe it to yourself (and your sanity) to read this book first.
This prequel is short, but really packs a punch! You get a great insight into Lucien, and what shaped him into the man he is now. Very compelling story that literally grabs you and holds you until the end, leaving you eagerly anticipating the next book! You will not be disappointed!
Meet Lucien, a damaged man. His past is horrendous, but its his past, a past that affects his present. He is intriguing, I want to know more now and meet the lady that will rock his world.
This book is the first book of Angela Snyder’s that I have read. Because of this I wasn’t sure on what to expect but I was left wanting more after finishing it. This book is the prequel to the upcoming first book. In this short prequel we meet Lucian and learn a little about what made him into the man he now is. The story went back to when Lucian was a little boy and we learn of the abuse he suffered. We also get left with little information on what he is like now as a grown up. This prequel is easy to follow and has left me eager to read the upcoming first book.
This prequel is an enticing introduction to the forthcoming series. It has whet my appetite for what's to come.
The story is told from Lucien's POV as a child and then as an adult. He was abused as a child until he was rescued at age 12. He is now an adult who has developed various obsessions, one of which he buys for large amount of money.
It's a short and dark prelude which raises a lot of questions about his obsessions, his goal of obtaining perfection and why. I am looking forward to find out how he arrives to where he is now.
The Keeping Her prequel is, a short little blurb about Lucian. And i must say, I WANT MORE!
This story is told from Lucien's POV, both as a child, then an adult. Lucian had a horrible childhood, filled with abuse, no one should endure, let alone a child. Until he's rescued by his uncle at the age of 12.
The prequel is a short, dark, twisted Little taste, and I'm starving for more. I am sooooo looking forward to seeing how this story plays out.
4* Lucien has had a hard past a mother who forgot about him & used him to get money for drugs or medicine as she told him letting people abuse him! At 12 his uncle rescued him & took him to live with him & his cousin Jackson. Took a while to adjust to rich living. He's obsessed with cleanliness & buys pure girls will no 7 be the one? Short story
I think that a prequel should be something that adds to the story, some past events that explain how everything started. But this one? This is not a prequel in my opinion. This is just a little new part and a big cut and paste of some chapters from the first book in the series "Keeping her". The story is quite interesting and well written but this is just not the way a prequel should work.
This was really fast but no less of a gut punch. I read it after the Keeping Her series. I really wish I had read it first as it would have really clarified this enigmatic man. He's like no hero ever met before, but so memorable.
I did not know the series had a prequel, so I read it after I read Keeping Her. The prequel is only 22 pages, but it does give you insight into why Lucien is the way he is. It's not required to read before the series but I would recommend it since it is Free on Amazon.
