★★★★★ This book is delightful and transporting! A plucky heroine matches wits with a brave pirate captain. Through a series of thrilling adventures, the characters find themselves and each other. And the romance aspect...well, Shiver me Timbers! Robin McGee★★★★★ I had so much fun with this book! First, once you pick it up it's hard to put down. It's perfect for a rainy weekend or a vacation. Not only are the characters cool to hang out with, there's an intelligence that runs through the pages of this adventure that puts similar tales of the genre to shame. All that, plus the love scenes brought an actual blush to this maiden's cheeks -- LeClaire knows how to bring the romance! Lady Ann★★★★★ Deliciously Romantic and Everything a windswept nautical romance should be. A devastatingly dashing rogue of a pirate captain meets a headstrong noblewoman in hiding. DiscoBunnyShip of Dreams is an adventurous pirate romance novel set in the Caribbean Sea, featuring a strong heroine and a brave pirate captain.

Got about halfway through before I could no longer tolerate the female lead. I was enjoying the male lead, however is obsession with the pampered spoiled brat became too much, he should have left her to the sharks and been done with it.
This book initially started off kind of slow. I really struggled to get past the first few chapters, but I really wanted to know their story. I was soon rewarded for my perseverance and the book got so good I could barely put it down! This was such an amazing book. Would definitely recommend, as well as read again myself. The characters were really well developed, the story was filled with action, and the setting was perfect.
Rosalind grated on my nerves. She made stupid mistake after stupid mistake and then kept opening her mouth. Jesus, make her walk the plank!! Beatrice probably was glad when she fell ill and couldn't be around Rosalind.
Alex would have dumped her first chance because she just didn't STFU. OMG. I don't care how pretty and refined Rosalind was, her mouth made her UGLY. Did I mention that we should have tossed her?
I enjoyed three quarters of this book before Rosalind began wearing on my nerves. Even the minor issues with the timeline only made me smile because the imagery was great even when the tale was out in left field. If you love drama, well defined characters, swashbuckling action this book is for you. If unrealistic, over the top bitchiness from a young noblewoman is boring to you...there are better stories out there - possibly by this same author. I will be watching for another of her books.
The storyline was good. But they kept saying the same words over and over again!!!!! She called him " mon caption" so many times!!!! It wasn't necessary! I got so tired of hearing it! She could have used his name. He even asked her more than once to call him by his name. But she continued to keep calling him that! It really got old! I really didn't like how they protrayed her. She was really a bitch! Why he didn't just throw her over is beyond me. The way she treated him and everyone. Except her friend. She was spoiled and treated everyone terrible.
Perhaps I’m just not the right audience for this book. I fail to see why the mmc (who as far as I can tell wants to “force his advances” on the fmc) is somehow better than another pirate who did the same thing. Because he’s cleaner and has PTSD? Seriously she was assaulted and the mmc is only thinking about taking advantage of her. If that’s your kind of book please enjoy. But if that gives you the ick avoid this book.

It was extremely well written & Has made me want to read more books by this amazing author. One of the best books I've read in a long time. I found it hard to put down. It held my interest throughout.
Another pirate romance, this time in the Caribbean. Lady Rosalind Hanshaw and Beatrice Henderson are sailing to Jamaica to deliver the news to Rosalind's brother that their father is dead and the family is in dire straits. The ship is attacked by pirates led by the notorious Black Angel.
Rosalind and Beatrice are taken aboard the Morning Star and confined in a cell in chains. Beatrice is taken ill with a fever and the Black Angel devotes his time to trying to seduce Rosalind.
Beautifully written story with everything you'd expect
Strong female character fighting for her virtue, her morals and against her own feelings for a dashing pirate, who is a tough diamond. enemies turn into lovers and the happy ever after you'd expect. With sea battles and everything you'd expect from a pirate story! Thoroughly enjoyed!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I don't usually like or read these types of novels but this book was well written and kept my interest . I would like read more by Elaine LeClaire
I used to sneak read my moms Harlequin romance novels! I am excited to find there is an author of today that can bring back my love for dashing pirates, ladies with a sharp tongue and swoon worthy romance!
What a beautiful story. I did not want it to end. True action from beginning to the end. Could not out it down. Will be looking for more books by this author. Love to go back in time.
J'ai beaucoup aimé ce livre, romantique, féerique et beaucoup d'intrigues. Je vous le recommande. Eliane LeClaire est un auteur que je vais suivre dorénavant.
A good pirate romance book. She is an English Lady en route to Jamaica to bring her brother news of their father's death while he is the a legendary French pirate who targets English shipping. He captures her ship and she becomes his captive.
This book read like it should be a 1950's epic romance movie and I loved it. The language was very romantic, which sounds weird because it's a romance, but if you read it, perhaps you'll understand my meaning. It was much different from the typical books I read, but a great change of pace for me.
I loved this story. It was full of action, hate and love. You could feel the love that Alexandre had for Rosalind. When the two fell in love, it jumped right off the page. This is a must read story!
