An emphasis is placed on the rate at which America imprisons its’ citizens, especially the poor and African American populations, and the unforeseen consequences and costs of this mass incarceration. Stevenson shines an unapologetic light on the unfair, irresponsible, and biased prosecution of an impoverished population and the ripple effects this has on families, communities, and the American people. A good summary of a good book

This is a summary of the book Just Mercy which covers racial inequalities in the legal system and what rights are perceived to be versus what they really are depending on your race. This summary captures the essence of the struggle and presents the information in a simple and easy to understand format that allows the reader to understand the main theme of the full book. I enjoyed the read as it was easy and simple to follow. Check this one out and post what you think.

Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson

Reading the Summary of this book helped me gain a deeper understanding of the injustices rendered by our legal system and our cultural biases.
Much work needs done to render a more just action in cases involving people in poverty.

There is a lot to point out about this book, but first I’m going to give a great compliment on how everything is handled here, everything presented here is amazingly detailed despite the book’s short nature.
To talk about something legal is something controversial these days, given the general consensus of how sensitive people are, to talk about rights and everything in between, it might be perceive as something offensive. This book presents a balance between what’s supposed to be right, correct and easy.
It’s really insightful when it comes to certain subjects that are the highlights of today’s society, but I’m very glad that it looks for a more unbiased ground rather than go full one-sided. If you don’t understand what is happening around you, racial problems and so on try this book, everything you need to know is here, and it urges you to be a voice of real peace.

While yes this is mainly a summary and does not give you all the information from the book. If you read the description, you will notice this is more than just a summary. It is more of a workbook for a type of book club or study that provides you extra material to help you understand the text better.

Unfortunately for my situation I did not purchase the actual book so it did not supplement in the best was possible. But I can totally see how this would be beneficial for someone reading the book and looking to dive a little deeper than just “Sunday reading.”

Mainly this summary just got me excited to read the book. I would imagine that for someone who does use this guide along with the book this would allow them proper time to reflect, engage, and analyze the book as if with a friend. It provides some interesting commentary you otherwise would be left without. Making it much more of an experience rather than just a book.

Summary of Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson Written by: FastReads and Narrated by: Jon Turner is a fantastic synopsis of the book Just Mercy. This audio file talks about the book Just Mercy and looks at the unfair and bias effect of wrongful incarceration of people of color. The author does a good job and condensing the information found in the original book and brings the reader to understand the reasons behind why there are so many bias in the judicial system as well as a deep look into the poor conditions of the prison system. I like that they go through many different examples of court cases proving racial injustice. This is a very in depth look into our justice system and where it is failing in regards to people of color and those who are not able to afford proper legal representation. This was a wonderful book and I found the narrator’s voice was clear and easy to understand, and he did a good job at keeping my attention throughout the book.

I’ve been wanting to read Just Mercy for a long time now, but still haven’t had the time to get around to it. I figured the summary would help me take what I could out of the book until I can finally dedicate some free time to it. I was pretty impressed with how well the summary laid things out, as it helped me stay focused on the content and gave me a general idea of what I’d get out of the book. I felt the analysis was also quite insightful and have even more meaning to the content. This is obviously just a summary though, so I am still on pins and needles for the real deal. I wish there had been a bit more included in the summary as it isn’t very long at all, but feel the author must have put great thought into what he had to put in and leave out. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quick look at the novel.

Summary of Just Mercy: by Bryan Stevenson/Includes Key Takeaways & Analysis by FastReads is a to the point encapsulation of the book Just Mercy. This summary lays things out quite well, and frames the information in a logical format so that it is easily read and disseminated. The book Just Mercy explores the theme of racial injustice within the justice system. This is deep stuff for certain, and takes a while to get through, but overall, this summary provides enough detail and information that you get the general idea of the book. It may even hopefully inspire you to read the book and enjoy all that it offers. A controversial topic for sure, but one that is deserving of exploration, you will find this summary a worthwhile endeavor to understand more about the criminal justice system. Highly recommend for a quick read.

Well written and interesting

The summary of Just Mercy is a really quick 30 page read. It really only took me about 20 minutes to get through the whole thing. I’ve never heard of Just Mercy, and the summary did it’s job of gaining my interest enough that I might check it out and read further into the story. It covers the injustices of the legal system and how it has let down men, women and children of different races and class levels. The summary is well written and contains just enough detail to leave you wondering what else happened. The perfect “trailer” to get you interested hook line and sinker, so you’ll want to read the original. I recommend this book to anyone interested in the legal system and how it works, or doesn’t work for the American people.

Just Mercy is a must read! Mr. Stevenson shows us what it was like to work with death row inmates. It shows the pain and horror of what it’s like to be subjected to something you possibly couldn’t control or never could control. The purpose of this book is to persuade and inform the reader about the criminal injustice system flaws, especially when it comes down to race, wealth, and extremely situational times that may never be accounted for in trial. (war veteran, mental disabilities, etc.) I highly suggest it!!

As the name suggests this is like a summary of the real book Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption, based on the theme of racial injustice in the American justice system. Its different form preview book as it captures key takeaways chapter by chapter that helps the reader make a choice for the real book. Regardless, it is educational on the theme topic and an author’s perception makes it worth reading.

Exposure of America's criminal justice problems

Because of individual examples of the problems presented the real issues impact both emotionally and intellectually. Sadly, we have much to improve and though some positive Changes have happened many more need to be addressed. This needs to happen quickly as we are dealing with human beings who should not have to wait.

Mercy is not just

This book opened my eyes for the serious injustice in the US criminal justice system. Slowly small steps are being taken by Stevenson and his team at EJI to remedy this need.
