The Iron Bulls MC have been one of my favorite MC romance reads since they came to life in 2015. I’ve loved the ride all the way thru. I’ve loved the good. I’ve loved the bad. I’ve loved it all. Some characters have tried my patience and some have stolen my heart :) Unhinged has both types of characters! LOL
Okay so first things first, this story branches away from the Iron Bulls into the Savage Dragons. It’s a DNA branch you could say. Kadence Rivers, our leading lady, happens to be half sister to Karina Rivers, who you should know ;) (that’s my hint for you to read this series from the beginning ~ but you should at least read Disconnect so you understand how Kadence comes into the picture, but if you read it, then you have to read Asunder so just read them all, k)
Okay, so let me take a moment here and talk about this book. Unhinged took a turn from the usual. You see, all preceding books have been driving by their sexual nature. Dante and Karina’s journey was very much a sexual journey. That is how they connected. Athena and Romeo were the same way. With Kadence and Blaise there’s a story that layers their sexual story. YES, this book is ridic sexy. You wouldn’t expect anything else from Phoenyx, but it’s also way more. These two have history. This is their second chance to get it right. They’ve both loved each other from the start but Kadence just doesn’t want to admit it to herself because, reasons. Reasons that may or may not have made my eyes a little twitchy at times, but reasons none the less.
Once again I find myself at an impasse with a book review. There is so much that I want to share but I also want future readers to experience the life of these people that Phoenyx has so beautifully created without prejudice. But what I can tell you is that not only Unhinged, but the entire series is full of grit and heart. It’s about family and love and friendship and brotherhood. It’s about growth and maturity and finding the place within yourself that makes you happy. And most of all, it’s about truths and consequences and life. This woman writes ridiculously well and is really good at developing and unfolding a story.
Sidebar: I’ve said it before that there’s an arc in these books about the Iron Bulls MC and a guy named Logan. I said he was a ticking bomb and with every book the tick got a little louder…the tick just got louder!

what a fantastic book that I could not wait to get my hands on. I love this series. Kadence and Blaise, they are hot together, if they could just get passed all the issues that they face. this story is full of action and passion, will leave you turning page after page!!!! loved getting to see the members of the Iron Bulls from previous books play such a big roll.

Wow ! Another great story from this author .I have to say that I am really loving this series and its MC family members.
Blaise and Kady have a unique relationship in fact they used to be step brother and sister.Something happened in their relationship that separated them. But, now something bad has happened to Kady and Blaise has a second chance to make right whatever went wrong that drove them apart in the first place. Blaise is determined to make her his again no matter what. He wants the women he loves back in his life and bed.The guy is oozing with charm and will have no problem charming her out of her panties in no time at all. (grinning )
I always have a favorite character that I love more than the others and my pick this time around is going to be Blaise. Omg! I fell for him head over heals myself from the very beginning he was just so sweet and yummy.I found him to be ,sensual,sexy,possessive,sweet ,lethal,love-able,understanding,forgiving and he was dripping with sexual appeal.Just loved everything about him especially his sensitive protective side.
Blaise and Katy had some major chemistry going on that made for many hot sexual encounters.A story about reconnecting and exploring their new sexual fantasies together. Blaise is the type who is shy and more reserved and Blaise he wants to explore more of the down and dirty side of sex they just have to find their happy medium and Luck is just the right person to introduce them to the new delights in the bedroom.
Its to funny that these hot as hell bikers like Dante and Blaise are going to Luck for sexual kink tips .Luck the bad boy biker dude actually teaches the classes himself.I have to say that the story had me laughing quite a bit with the sisters bantering back and forth about their sex lives with their men .The teasing between one another was just to funny.
Although this story concentrated more on the love affair between Blaise and Katy and their rediscovery of one another it was infused with danger ,betrayals,kidnapping, attempted murder humor and learning more about a missing brother making it a very interesting read that kept you turning the pages.I could not put it down.I just loved the story and its characters and the mixing it up with characters from the other MC clubs .
A recommend read to all who love MC romances.I have loved each and every book so far that I have read in this entire series.Another win for the keep shelf.

Phoenyx Slaughter is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, and I'm still kicking myself for coming late to her awesome party! Unhinged is about Karina's sister, Kadence, and boy is she colorful! Kadence Rivers ran away from her ex-stepbrother Blaise Savage, as he's everything she doesn't want in a man. But that doesn't change the fact that she loves him anyway. Blaise let Kady run away a few months ago because he didn't tell her the truth. When he gets his hands on her again, he will do anything to keep her this time, as he knows that she's the only woman for him. But Kady is stubborn, and has a smart mouth, so he knows it will be an uphill battle. However, she's in serious danger with another club, so now he has her again, and he will do anything to keep the woman that he loves safe. Again, I would like to reiterate how awesome Kadence is, and I'm half in love with her. That's not to say that I didn't love Blaise, because I do love his stubborn, alpha self so much! Together they sizzled with steamy sexy scene goodness that will destroy all panties. On top of that, the twists swirling around, are f-bomb dropping worthy, and it kept my heart racing. Phoenyx Slaughter has a very talented writing style that has me all kinds of addicted, as her super sexy romance, has an underlying suspenseful plot. I CANNOT WAIT to read everything she has out, and/or will put out ASAP, so it stands to reason that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Unhinged to ALL!

Kady and Blaise's story is a sizzling hot second chance at love mixed with the whole step sibling taboo mixed with MC. What a holy hell combination. I fell hard in love and lust with Blaise. Naughty bossy biker man with a tie me up kink to boot that is head over motocycle boot for his girl. What's not to love? I love that Nyx gave us more of these sisters that unite these biker families beyond protecting Kady. I really loved their story and I can't wait to read more.

I love the Iron bulls series, but this one was not a fave.
Basically, I never really cared about Kadence as a character, either in previous books or now. She felt really young and whiny at the start and her thoughts got really repetitive which, as a reader, I hate. Also, for some reason this time the writing style felt really impersonal. I just didn't get the emotional connection between these two characters and ended up skimming.
But I love a good crossover and Dante calling Murphy from LOKI "Gingersnap" was hilarious. #TeamMurphy☘️
Here's hoping Luck's book is next.

Another 5 star book from Nyx! Finally, we get a closer, in-depth look at Kadence. Her relationship with Blaise is off the charts. I like the fact that both are young and they're exploring and discovering together. This book was extremely well written and I saw absolutely no grammatical errors.

This story & couple was very different from the previous book. After reading the explanation in the back it seems that was the intention of the author. I loved the first 4 books so I didn’t actually want a change.
Leading Lady.... *sigh* what can I say? I felt like she was extremely immature for her age vs her sister. She continued to be distrustful of the Hero though as far as I could see he did nothing to deserve it. She was always apologizing for the past. I just wasn’t a fan of her.
The Hero stole the show. He was unrelenting in his determination to win her over.... he loved her for exactly who she was. Didn’t want to change her; flaws and all.
As you read this series each book will pick up where the last ended. Each couple will have some things left unresolved and story plots will continue as each novella progresses. I mention this as I was frustrated thinking once we moved on from our first couple everything was going to be left unresolved. Unknowing the plot continues unfolding as each couple is introduced.

This book had a great premise. Take a young couple and follow them as they find their kink/sexual needs together.... I would have loved that. Watching them learn to communicate and talk about what they want. Get some backstory on how they recognized what they wanted...etc. ... But there wasn't enough of it. There wasn't enough of either of Kadence or Blaize that let us know them and then see them find their way. It's hard to find a balance in most erotica like this and in this case, there just wasn't enough sexploration happening on page. Actually, the MC plot got in the way of their alone time.
Again, compared to Karina and Dante, this book just doesn't even come close to the same level of erotica I've come to expect from this author.

This is the fifth book in the Iron Bulls MC series by Phoenyx Slaughter and it also introduces us to the Savage Dragons MC. I feel like I waited forever for this book and I appreciate the author taking the time to write a note at the end of the book apologizing and explaining the delay. In the beginning of the book I really wanted to c*nt punch Kadence because she was such a bitch to Blaise. But it didn't take him long to fuck her into submission and show her who she belongs to. Kady recently discovered her POS father had another family and that Karina is her sister. Bolt is the President of the Savage Dragons and when he married Kady's mom he became more of a father to her than her "sperm donor". Blaise Savage is the Vice President of the Savage Dragons and his dad may be President but he fought for and earned his position. Technically Kady was his stepsister but he fell deeply in love with her anyway and he was devastated when she left. Now she's back and she's in trouble with Red Storm MC, a rival club for something she didn't even do. Blaise loves Kady and he knows she never would've done was they're accusing her of. Part of the reason Kady left Blaise was because they used to be step-siblings and she was too worried about what everyone would think. I loved Blaise, he was a total bad ass biker but when it came to Kady he was so damn sweet. I loved their relationship and how they were together after she got her head outta her ass. I can't wait for the next book !

More like 3 1/2 stars which really hurts my heart to say. But I wished I would have gotten to know the characters since Kadence was shown earlier. And Blaise? I don't think I really got to know him at all. I hope that this isn't where the series ends because there are so many unfinished threads to this series.

Can I just start of by saying; I am in love with the cover to this book! It is my favourite cover of Pheonyx Slaughters by far! That’s saying a lot considering her other covers are HOT. I really enjoyed this story and adored both Blaise and Kadence. A lot of the scenes in this book are kindle and pantie melting hot! I found this story easier to get into than the first three iron bulls MC books –which I love. I was instantly hooked and devoured this book within an hour.
I have a confession; I skipped Vex and jumped into this story. I don’t know if Kadence was introduced to her sister in the previous book or not but I am guessing so. I WILL read vexed soon but I put it off, as I am not/wasn’t a massive fan of Romeo or Athena. Either way, I liked that Kadence and Karina got on. I liked that Dante was willing to help his sister in law.
I will admit that I had worked out the rat/liar in the MC. As soon as he was introduced into the story I knew he was a bad egg. I was angered at Bolt, Hammer and a few other members for believing that Kadence would do what she was accused of. I finished this book nearly 24 hours ago and I still don’t forgive them for that. My heart hurt for Kadence when she didn’t feel like she was good enough.
I cannot wait for more books like this from Pheonyx Slaughter. If you’re looking for an MC story with lots of drama and lots of pure filth than this book is for you *wink, wink*

Blaise and Kadence used to be stepsiblings that shared a secret relationship. When Kadence accidently hurt Blaise, she left but she’s now back and Blaise is not letting her go. When a rival MC takes Kadence hostage, Blaise and the MC he is a part of jumps into rescue her. Now that he is keeping her safe at his home he isn’t letting her go ever again. When the rival MC start making threats and war is declared, the savage dragons which Blaise is vice president of, pairs up with the iron bulls MC. Kadence loves Blaise with all of her heart. After accidentally hurting him in the past she is reluctant to be claimed as his ol’lady. No matter how hard she tries, Blaise won’t let her push him away! Will Kadence give in to her love and accept it? When Kadence and Blaise find themselves in serious danger will they make it out alive?

I enjoyed this book! I was happy to get to know Karinas sister and into her back story of things. I also loved how Dante, Karina and Athena and the other bulls got to make an appearance.

They pull apart for some months but manage to make their way back to each and fix it. I love that so much. It shows when u love something so fiercely u have to fight to keep it no matter wat.
I Appreciated The fact that Blaise's dad still treated Kandace with the same amount as her respect as he did when he was with her mother he never changed to he was towards her.
When push came to shove and somebody questioned the loyalty of Kandace yes but might have questioned it due to the fact that the person who gave the information has been a long time brother. Bolt looked at the facts and was able to make the decision that it was inaccurate and took care of the traitor amongst them. He ended up coming around and apologizing to his son and made things better.
The HEA was lovely!

Unhinged was a fun quick read for me. It is a shorter MC or Motorcycle Club book by an author I haven't read yet. I would consider this a standalone but I wouldn't start with this one since there are other in the series before it. Some of the storyline was a little cloudy for me because I haven't read the others but it was still a great read. Some of the latest MC books I have read lately are lighter on the Motorcycle Club aspect and more on the relationship and Unhinged had a more even balance.
Blaise and Kadence's story starts off after Kadence disappears on Blaise for a bit. This is the part where it will be helpful to read the previous books. They've had some trouble in the past and struggle briefly to overcome it. Kadence fights it for a bit and Blaise has his work cut out for him. Unhinged is definitely steamy making it a fun hot read. I always love the aspects of an outlaw MC club and this delivers without being gory or dark. Some Motorcycle Club books tend to go overboard and I feel the author balanced it well.
I would recommend Unhinged to anyone looking for a hot, quick, fun book focused on outlaw bikers and the brotherhood they have created. It's isn't necessarily a hearts and flowers romance but definitely one click it for a fun escape.

This particular book had a different feel to it than previous ones in the series. It was still hot and sexually stimulating in its own way. I saw more character development with Blaise and Kadence, they grew vastly during this book. Even "shady" bikers have a soft side but they also know when to throw down! You got to love any man that would lay his life on the line for his woman. I loved the fact that Bolt told her she was still important to him even though he divorced her mom. Kady didn't have the best family life but I feel she's going to make up for it now. I still love the way Dante and Karina are. Looking forward to more of them and this perfectly imperfect blended biker family. This was so worth the wait, I'm sorry there was so much trouble during release but I hold nothing against the author. Congrats on another great story Phoenyx!

I do love an MC book and I've read a few. Sometimes authors make the mistake of making bikers out to be real nasty bad boys, I don't like that. But not this one. Pheonyx got just the right amount of family, loyalty and brotherhood. The brothers care about each other and the ol' ladies.
It's not always been easy going for Blaise and Kadence, and they've had to rediscover each other, and 'them'. They now have a relationship full of trust. But that trust is tested when accusations start going around!
Initially I did find the story was a bit slow but then it all suddenly happened and I couldn't put the book down.
The book is well written with no editing mistakes. Easy to read.

I was looking very forward to this book, and I wasn't disappointed. I wanted to know more about Kadence after meeting her in book four.
I liked Kadence, she was fiercely independent, but also scared. She may think she wants one thing, but really her heart knows what it really wants.
I liked Blaise, even though he was done wrong, he still cared and never gave up hope. He isn't scared to ask for help either.
This book was written brilliantly. I absolutely loved how the two MCs come together. I recommend reading the other books first, so you know who and what has happened.

I've not read anything by this author before. I was just merrily scrolling through my Facebook feed and saw a post about this book. The blurb instantly grabbed my attention.
I love a good MC book...and this is exactly that. The characters are all really endearing, the story is written in a way that pulls you in. It's easy to read, it's sexy, it's that touch on violent side. Everything you need in a good MC romance and more.
I will definitely be going back in time and hunting out more of the Iron Bull's stories!

Another great instalment to one of the ‘edge of your seat’ sagas. If you love the MC romance genre or aren’t sure if you are ..... take it from me....: this is one of the best series to read. Phoenyx Slaughter knows how to keep you turning your pages waaay past your bedtime. Sexy , saucy and salacious are the theme, along with a great story line. Tied in with some cross over members from The Lost Kings MC ( Autumn Jones Lake) and you’ve got sizzle by the bagful. Can’t wait for the next instalment with a ‘claiming ceremony’ that’s bound to be hawt !!!!!!!

Maybe my second favorite in the series (out of like what, 3 stories). Still not as good as Dante and Karina, but, the emotional satisfaction kinda has me feeling all mushy inside, so it's forgiven.

I liked Kadence's story more than the previous books in the series. It was easy to read and quite enjoyable. If by any chance more books will be available in the future, I'm sure that I'm going to read them.
