Santorno #12

Growing Up Santorno

Rate this book
The wildly extended Santorno-Youngblood family is facing its biggest challenge ever. Not drug traffickers. Not power-hungry mob bosses. Not even murderous assassins. They’re dealing with . . . .

Teenagers.

All those sweet, cute, cuddly, dependent toddlers have journeyed through childhood to become moody, cute, hormonal, independent teens. Longing looks. The dreaded ‘friends zone.’ Jealousy greener than Theo’s eyes. Stefan loves Phoebe, but can she trust him? Nico loves Tanner but is he too old for him? Hunter has feelings for his best friend Jensen but is his buddy even gay? Nikolai loves Colin and he’s not worried at all because he’ll get to kick some ass before he’s old enough to be legally responsible for the carnage.

Thank goodness the dads have each other to lean on and vent with, and bad guys to kill (we lied about no traffickers and mob bosses). They made a pact long ago that what their kids did would not affect their friendships — but they might well drown in the tears that are shed.

Take teen drama, inconvenient bodily responses, confused hearts, and insecurity; mix in skanky troublemakers, kidnappers, misunderstandings, and pride and you have one big, soapy, bubbling pot of what it means to grow up Santorno.

I have been blessed in this life to not only have parents that support me, but kids that do as well. I grew up in a loving but "Old School" French household. My parents worked for the airlines (TWA) so I was able to see a lot of Europe as a kid. I moved to Seattle Washington at the age of 22 and stayed there for twelve years before moving to Alaska for a little over two. Fairbanks, AK was one hell of an experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back! I spent a little over a year in South Carolina before moving back to Arizona. I then left for Kansas for five years and now reside in Arizona. I've been connected to the military in one way or another for over half my life and wouldn't change a thing about it. Writing has become my full time job and I've never been so happy doing a job I love and being able to do it in my jammies. I plan on writing until I dry up and die. Hopefully, that won't happen soon!

More filling in the gaps for the extended series

There's not much happens here other than a shedload of sex between most of the main pairing couples and there's a lot of setting up of the partnerships we know come later.

That's not to say it's not an enjoyable ride, because it is, odd little editing errors aside, and it romps through a whole load of years as the Santorno youngsters grow through adulthood.

Off track

When you read Nik of Time, Yuri kidnapped and tortured Nik, and other things were hinted about. Which led to Colin leaving because he loved Nik and he needed grow up and Nik couldn't take what happened to him and Colin leaving.
This book is off track, because after Nik killed Yuri nothing fazed Nik, and Colin and him are getting closer.
What happened to Nik sounded like it happened when he was twelve and the Brit girl in the bowling alley asked Nik if he was fourteen.
I greatly love the story of Nik and Colin but the whole him forgetting Colin never set well with me when I read the stories.
Too much teenage angst, everyone is torn apart and it ended on two adult characters and not the offspring who are the ones growing up Santorno.

Can't wait for the next one

Oh wow, where do I start? So first of all, there's a lot going on in this book. So much that I had a hard time keeping up with it. There are just so many characters, I found myself frustrated trying to remember who's kid is whose. But, after I just said whatever and kept reading I got over it. Sandy is one of those authors that pulls you in and you just want more. I can't wait to read what happens next. Will the kids final be with the ones they love or will the teen and young adult angst get the better of them?

They Are Not Babies Anymore

This is a angst filled fun story about the babies who have grown into teenagers. Their hormones are hopping and they are jumping to assumptions and running me and themselves crazy, lol. Their parents and grandfather's are allowing them to work their relationships out for themselves. But you do want to strangle a few of these children. Enjoy I did.

This one was just showing how the entire family has grown. The stories always have Stefan & Jordan as big parts in how the lives of their children and grandchildren unfold. They are there for advice, love, a shoulder to cry on or a hand to take someone out who threatens a loved one. We see a big parts of how the lives of the grandchildren are intertwined with love and romance.
All in all a nice continuation of this series.

Not her best.

This is the continuing story of the Santorno/Youngblood extended family. It mostly centers on the love lives of the grandchildren of patriarchs Stefan and Jordan. Unfortunately, each sub-story is repetitive throughout and falls flat. The best that can be said is that there is a good balance of story and sex.

Growing Up Santorno

I loved this book. The children are growing up and are as stubborn and hardheaded as their parents. This book made laugh, cry and mad as heck. I can not wait for the next book to see what happens to all the teenagers and their parents and grand parents. Erin

Fun read

Another fun addition to the Santorini series. This book focuses mostly on the kids as they progress through childhood to young adults. There is as always plenty of angst, misunderstandings, kidnappings and of course lots of guns and dead bodies.

Growing up Santorno

The Santorno series is such a great series. Getting to see love evolve and all the kids growing into their own adult. Can't wait to see if they get their heads out of their butts.

I am very disappointed in this book.

It went on to long and no relationship was resolved. It kept going in circles and to some extent contradicted the relationships between the characters in earlier books. Very disappointing.

Amazing

Loved the book from beginning to end I cried, I laughed and wanted to hurt the girls in this story. Especially after, the many times the guys would apologize for little misunderstandings. Love this series. If you are going to read it pease start with the first book it will help you understand the story line better. Awesome author, who make you feel apart of the family.

Santorno stories 12

As the older kids of the original kids grow up things start to get more complicated, there is always plenty of misunderstandings and hot make up sex to be had by the various members of this crew

As always awesome story. I love this series. It is sometimes weird because I have to remind myself that series is not really the same series as the Assassin/Shifter series. Same guys but parallel world.....I love seeing the kids growing up. I am so looking forward to what happens next. Can't wait.
