The Sleeping King's enemies are awakening and are more powerful than anyone feared. Old enemies will test their allegiance in the coming confrontation between good and evil. "Engaging and complex. . . for fans of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time or Terry Brooks' Shannara series." --RT Book Reviews on The Sleeping King
The Sleeping King Trilogy #1 The Sleeping King #2 The Dreaming Hunt #3 The Wandering War
Cindy Dees started flying airplanes while sitting in her dad’s lap at the age of three and got a pilot’s license before she got a driver’s license. At age fifteen, she dropped out of high school and left the horse farm in Michigan where she grew up to attend the University of Michigan.
After earning a degree in Russian and East European studies, she joined the U.S. Air Force and became the youngest female pilot in the history of the Air Force. She flew supersonic jets, VIP airlift and the “C-5” Galaxy, the world’s largest airplane. She also worked part-time gathering intelligence. During her military career, she traveled to forty countries on five continents, was detained by the KGB and East German secret police, she got shot at, flew in the first Gulf War, met her husband and amassed a lifetime’s worth of war stories.
Her hobbies include professional Middle Eastern dancing, Japanese gardening and medieval reenacting. She started writing on a one-dollar bet with her mother and was thrilled to win that bet with the publication of her first book in 2001.
What...the heck...just happened. What was that ending?! Super intense. But my question is now... Will there be a fourth book in the series?!
All that to say... This was a very engaging story. It was slow in the beginning but once they got out of town (about 25% into the book) it was just crazy and I couldn't put it down. The richness of the world is almost too intense, too thick. It can occasionally detract from the story, but it's also the reason it's so enjoyable. I really hope there is a fourth book!
The wandering war is an excellent book, we'll written and full of action, suspense and a hunt of playful romance. It's an end to the series the sleeping king. I felt like there was more of a story to be told, there are some lose ends that need to be tied up. Hopefully there will be more to come. An excellent series I would definitely suggest it.
I don’t normally write reviews but I wanted to write this to show how disappointed I was with this book. The first 2 were great and really set up a good plot and multi dimensional back story.
This book was left unfinished. The entire side story about the dwarf and his rebellion had absolutely no impact on the story whatsoever. The book would have ended be exact same way if all those characters did not exist. I find it odd how at the end there is absolutely no dialogue between Will and his parents after them having been major players in Koth. The authors mention how Kadir and Justin are also going to the last battle but they are not mentioned at all as the last scenes unfold. The dragon was introduced in the beginning of the book but ultimately played no part whatsoever in the final battle.
Overall the book is unfinished and poorly written. Many plot holes and the book just ends with having left so much unanswered. Highly upset about this.

I have enjoyed the series, but halfway through this third book new plots were still being introduced. I asked myself if there was any way they could all be resolved by the end of the book. I did hope that the authors would have a very clever twist that would somehow tie up all those threads and satisfactorily bring the story to an end. Unfortunately that was not the case. Only one problem was resolved, and even that created more questions about how the rest of the story threads would be tied up. Unless there is a fourth book I would rate this ending as very untidy and unsatisfactory. The sudden and unexpected reappearance of Will's parents at the last minute was clumsy and left me scratching my head as I wondered how and why that was considered to add to the quality and intrigue of the story. Having said that, all these issues can be dealt with... in another book. If this is the end I am disappointed, which is a pity because this has been a good story.
I will repeat what has already been said. This series was a great read with many interesting storylines. I am so disappointed in the ending. Most of the storylines weren't even addressed in the last 80 pages and the one that was "resolved" feels like it should still be leading to the next part of the story. Is this really the last book in a trilogy? If so, the ending was terrible. I hope there are several more books to come to finish the story properly.

The sleeping king wakens..and thats it..so many plot holes..Rosana's blood line, Elen meeting Tarses, the dwarf storyline, Will and bloodroot, the evil king!..I really hope a fourth book is released to tie loose ends..this was very disappointing..

While I have enjoyed the trilogy, I was quite lol disappointed with the ending. Not enough justice dispensed and too many dangling story lines. Felt like the conclusion was edited down to the nitty gritty and the rest cast off.
