3.5 Finding Each Other Stars

Untangled Me is Chelle Bliss’ debut novel of two people meeting on-line and slowly falling in love. It’s a get-to-know-you and push-through-issues kind of read.

**Disclaimer, I was a beta reader for this book. I was honored with a copy of an unedited version and so I haven’t not read the final copy.

Untangled Me holds a special place in my heart because it’s about two people meeting on-line. I happen to fall into that category. My husband and I had a class together, but I didn’t talk to him in person at first, instead I messaged him. So, I completely understand and can relate to Untangle Me.

Kayden and Sophia are thirty-something singles just living normal lives and both are healing from past relationships. Kayden and Sophia meet on Facebook and begin conversing. What started out as a few messages here and there, slowly builds to a relationship, where they later will meet.

The summary is a tip of what you will get. The beginning is about Kayden and Sophia getting to know each other, so don’t worry, you get to the steam real quick. This review is tricky to me, because there are some elements that didn’t work for me, but I know will work for others. I admire Bliss’ stance on choosing older characters, most of the books I read are about young twenty-something’s and so obviously, there’s a maturity level in this book.

What didn’t work for me is the Hero. I couldn’t connect with him, but I should explain that I love alpha heroes. I love men who grab me, tell me to shut-the-fuck-up and just ravish my body till dawn kind of males. Not that Kayden couldn’t do that, I just couldn’t see it. Most of the tension and obstacles came from Kayden and his past. The more I got to know Kayden, the more I couldn’t relate. A lot of girls I know understand Kayden because they have dated men like him, I have not, and that is one of the reasons why I couldn’t see the appeal.

Kayden is not an anti-hero, but a damaged Hero and sometimes you need a strong Heroine to pick up the pieces. The steamy parts were enjoyable, but a little unpolished. Sometimes it would be sweet and sometimes it would be dominate. I was getting confused to what kind of relationship Kayden and Sophia were having. However, Untangle Me does show a wide range of intimacy (which I know some readers will like).

I like Sophia and she obviously cared deeply for Kayden. You can tell, she struggled a lot in the relationship and just wanted to help her man. I can relate to that completely.

I want to thank Chelle for allowing me to read Untangle Me. I don’t beta read often because it’s a lot of work, but I am happy I was a part of the process. Even though there were some things that did not work for me, I think it’s a stand-up debut novel.

I was excited to start this book. I read a teaser and I was definitely intrigued. But after reading it I feel really disappointed. It looked like a promising steamy YA story...well it wasn’t. The guy (Kayden) should have been a “bad boy that never played by the rules”...ummm NO! He wasn’t!! I found him quite soft and even pathetic at some point.

“Can I brush your hair?”
“Really? You want to brush my hair?”
“Yes, I love your hair,” he stated matter-of-factly walking towards my brush on the dresser.

“Can I get a beer or something?” he looked at me with a pained look on his face. “Just a little something, Sophia, please?”

There were some steamy moments at the beginning of the book but I couldn’t feel the connection between the Kayden and Sophia. Then towards the end all Kayden was doing was apologizing for some problems he was struggling with and Sophia was wondering how to help him but not doing anything.

I had other issues with the book but I don’t want to get into so much detail. Basically I didn’t enjoy reading it and I wouldn’t recommend it.

OUCH!

Okay, I will start with the positive:

I am from NOLA so totally loved the passion for the city. [Although no one there calls it a "Trolley". It is a Streetcar. Also, if you live there you don't drink Hand Grenades or spend much time on Bourbon St, unless your being a tour guide for visiting friends. So those elements were lacking in authenticity. IMO]

I'm happy the couple found their HEA.

I think that is the extent of the positives.

The editing (or lack there of) was bad. Being a avid indie author reader I'm used to this though and that isn't why I am rating this one poorly.

I get that the author was trying to make this novel more "real world" and less "fantasy world" with regular people with regular jobs and all too common problems & addictions, but honestly I read to be absorbed in fantasy, emotions and ultimately happiness. So reading about the sadness and devastation of a broke alcoholic (who never seeks help & continues to drink but only w permission of his GF) is really depressing. If this was an autobiography I would be fine, but this was fiction. The drama just made me sad and queasy. I didn't in any way feel rushed and motivated to read on to make sure the H/h had their happy ending. I just feel like a quitter for not finishing a book. Therefore, I muddled through finishing it only because of my weird OCD like traits and NOT because the story made me have any desire to read on. I really wanted to give up half 25% in. Sad to say, but this one I would not recommend.

I know I'm star stingy, but RARELY do I ever give 1 star. Maybe 3 out of every 200-300 books, but this one was really depressing and poorly developed.

P.S. - I feel when an author chooses the setting of their story they should be able to portray that setting as somewhat of a "native" (or one time resident) of that place. So being from NoLa and seeing two of the most famous tourist attractions it has blundered seemed like proof the writer wasn't extremely familiar with the setting they chose. I just wanted them to seem like they came from someone who has actually been there and not just read about it in a guide book. I don't care about the word "trolley" per se but it just SCREAMS tourist and not a regular visitor or native. That's why I mentioned the "trolley" to begin with.

Untangle Me was part of Chelle Bliss’ Love at Last duet series.

Sophia was a quiet, conservative librarian. She was the typical good girl with a low drama life. Kayden was her polar opposite. He was the gorgeous bad boy with a turbulent past.

I loved the beginning. It was intriguing and had me hooked at the start. Bliss took us through the friendship and relationship development, but she also included a journey of healing and new beginnings with a twist. I loved Kayden’s loyalty and commitment.

In the end, it was a fast paced read with a mix of sexy and sweet. I had already read Throttle Me, which highlighted Suzy, Sophia’s roommate, and introduced us to the Gallo siblings in the Men of Inked series, so it was a perfect glimpse into where it all began.

Untangle Me by Chelle Bliss

I loved the meeting online. cute and different for me. I loved how the description of Kayden was unique in the aspect of him having the shaved head and goatee. Kind of made me think of the wrestler Steve Austin. Always thought he was hot. Anyway you know I am from Louisiana and I loved the portrayal of that beautiful city. I almost felt like I was on bourbon street at times with them. I also liked how she made these people seem more "real" to me with real jobs "librarian" and cable/tv installer..and then mail man. The alcoholism storyline spoke to me because my whole life I've been surrounded by this addiction in the people I've loved the most.

Kayden was pretty possessive and I loved being in his head when he was. There were some scenes that were scorching.

Let's just say that Kayden and Sophia were had a touch of voyeurism in them.

Car sex anyone?

Against Kayden's truck.

He knows how to welcome a lady.

Had I just allowed him to fuck me outside? I loved when Kayden became all caveman—taking me, not asking, just ravaged my body and used me entirely.
Kayden turned my limp body, propping my back against the truck, and kissed me deeply. His kiss conveyed all the emotions that he felt in that moment—love, lust, sadness, longing, and comfort. Breaking the kiss, he stared into my eyes. “I love you, Sophia. I’m in love with you, consumed, head-over-heels in love. My life would end without you… I need you; don’t ever leave me, Sophia.”

See how sweet he could be thought?

These 2 had the worst luck ever! Black cloud Kayden ? yes indeed! Lisa batshit crazy! great angst and drama there.

All in all this was a story that was outside the mainstream rich guy or rocker.

This was a love story that seemed more real in a lot of ways. The trials they encountered were things I've had to face and people I know have struggled with. If you want a down to earth romance this one is for you.

I want to thank Chelle Bliss for the honor of reviewing this book. This is one down to earth "real" lady who book or no book I am very glad to know. I look forward to more hot books from this lady!

Oh wow!!! Can't say how great this story is!!!! Loved it!!! Releases 10/1!!!

I was also lucky enough to beta read this book!! I always so honored to be asked to beta read someone's work.

Well, Kayden.........what can I say..... DAMN HE'S HOT! and that doesn't even cover it. Sure he's had a rough life. He's had some bad experiences with women. He's reluctant to start a relationship with another woman. But then he "friends" Sophia on Facebook. They chat and get to know each other. Sophia is a librarian and feels like she needs to live her life a certain way. A way that she describes as "navy blue". Their friendly chats soon become friendlier and more intimate. Before you know it they have fallen in love with each other.....and still have not have met face to face.

They finally meet.........wow! that first meeting was UBER SPICY AND STEAMY!!! No more "navy blue" for Sophia!! She went straight to HOT PINK!!!

There are hurdles that the hot couple have to get over....what relationship doesn't.... they go through some rough times, but finally true love wins out because they cannot live without each other!

I give this 5 stars!! 5 hotness stars!! A MUST READ!!! I mean look at that cover!! that alone will get you to want to read it!!!

Sadly this is a DNF at 58%. I just couldn't keep going without feeling tortured. The characters were 32and 36 but sounded college aged. Kayden was supposed to be a bad boy, and started out almost one lol! He was kinda a pansy. He asked her to brush her hair!! Not bad assery at all to me. He was anti relationship until Sophia came along. Then next thing you know he's in love with her and her name tattooed on his thigh!?!?!? Oh dear lord. The dialogue was too cheeseball. I couldn't get into it. Sophia was a whiny clingy little bitch that annoyed me. Sorry but I just couldn't handle any more.

REAL, RAW, AND BEAUTIFUL!
Kayden & Sophia
5 Stars!

Ok, where to embark on this journey... Let's start with that juicy cover, I mean, holy hell look at those hands, those abs, and that package! Yummo! Now let's talk about the in between the covers, LOL! Well, the story itself it like this beautiful, but disturbing love story that you just can't put down. The prologue itself was enough to "hook, line, and sinker" me! It's not a dark or dank tale, but there is plenty of angst and mayhem to make you (or me) want to throw my Kindle up against the wall a few times. Thank you Kayden! It feels genuine, believable, and like it could sincerely happen to anyone of us.

Let's start with Kayden. Well that boy was getting on my last damn nerve at times while sucking me into his hot, sexual talk that made my panties moist on more than one occasion! I'll admit it took me a few chapters to fall in love with him, but when I fell, I fell hard! He's everything you could ever want in your alpha male, and much more. I mean, he made me want things I never thought I'd want for myself or from my man! Add all that to his genuine qualities and wha lah, you've got yourself the perfect, down to Earth kind of man! I especially love the way he was instantaneously different with her. It's like you just know when you're with the ONE you're suppose to be with and you immediately act way out of your natural character. Beautiful!

Now Sophia, she's my kind of girl; smart, beautiful, and above all one of the strongest female lead characters I've read in a long time. For a girl with limited experience, she has no problem letting Kayden lead her down paths she's never been on or ever thought about venturing down. She approaches life with arms wide open and for that matter, her heart too. She puts up with a ton more crap than I ever would have, but love has a funny way of making you do things you're not accustom too. Great supporting characters in Suzy and all of Kayden's roommates even though they pissed me off a tiny bit. I even have a tiny bit of love for that crazy beotch Lisa. Her craziness took this story to a whole new level.

The point of view shifted between our main characters and keeps the story flowing rather nicely. The tale is effortless and graceful to read and flows without feeling choppy or clunky. I felt myself saying "Ok, one more chapter then I'll put it down and go to bed," but of course, four chapters later and I'm still reading therefore waking up sleepy as hell! It was a good "sleepy" and I look forward to many more sleepless nights from Ms Bliss!

Too many highs and lows to declare, but I will leave you with this... you will find yourself gasping for air one minute, clutching your chest the next, and then once you think the roller coaster is coming to a halt, it'll take you for a few more loops. Whoa! Loved this book Chelle, and I LOVE YOU TOO!!!

I just finished this book today and read it in bed because I stayed home sick. OMG this book was HOT and STEAMY!!! I think I should have read this book when I wasn't sick. My fever may have gone up after reading it. Sophia and Kayden were so passionate about each other. Kayden took her places she had never been before, and I'm not talking about around NOLA...LOL When Kayden's world starts to unravel because of a stupid psycho ex-girlfriend it almost destroys them. Lisa the ex-girlfriend is one psycho witch and tries several times to break them up, and almost succeeds. Kayden does everything he can to fight for Sophia. He didn't want to lose her because he fell so deeply in love with her and she became a lifeline for him. Sophia feels the same way and it becomes hard for the both of them to keep up with the long distance relationship. He lives in NOLA and she lives in Florida. They met online by pure luck. Kayden was a friend of a friend of Sophia's brother. It started off as just fun but their relationship grew stronger each day even though they hadn't met in person. When they first meet in person there was instant chemistry that was scorching HOT. I'm not just talking about the weather in NOLA but how their bodies react when they had their first kiss and the first time they sleep with each other. You will fall in love with Kayden and watch how hard he struggles with his past. He tries his hardest to fight his demons so he can be the man for Sophia. At times Kayden's issues were becoming too much for Sophia, but she didn't give up on him. There was a point I thought she would and I think I would have been upset if she did. Their love story is so touching and my heart went out to Kayden. You will fall in love with him as much as I did. So yes this is a definite book to read. I'm glad I was given the chance to read this ARC for an honest review.

This was a solid 3.75 for me..I think this author may be one who is going to surprise everyone. This is her debut book and the story line was great. The way she described the places and scenes in the book made me want to book the first damn flight there.Did I mention she can write some sex scenes.Oh I didn't well she can write some HOT sex scenes and I want more of that..I really felt connected with them during these moments and think with a little more the book would have been elevated to awesome.
I liked that Kayden was so sweet and also loved that he was so determined to change for Sophia. He has suffered with addiction for most of his adult life and finally finding something to change for is not always simple.Sophia was strong minded and knew when to push the fight to stay strong for Kayden.I liked how loyal she was even at a certain point when lines were crossed she still fought. All I'm asking for Chelle is some drawn out sex scenes think build up because you had me at the pulse scene and I fell in love at the Impaled scene..

Ok...where to start?

Kayden was supposed to be a bad boy but he wasn't...like at all. He was entirely too soft. Just because he is an alcoholic with bad luck doesn't mean that he is a "bad boy". The most rowdy he got was a little kinky sex and even then it was forced and didn't fit with his personality the rest of the time.

Sophia....well she came off as a teenage girl, and they are supposed to be in their thirties, but here she is crying all the time and sending him tissues in the mail with her perfume? Creepy...in fact they both were in my opinion.

Most of this story was forced. Plus the story line and characters didn't seem believable...Had me rolling my eyes a lot.

The prologue alone had me intrigued to continue reading. I love the fact that the characters of this book are "real" dealing with real life problems, Cray Cray Chica's and empty wallets. I have never been to NOLA but I felt throughout this book I too was on vacation with Sophia. This was definitely a book I read as fast as I could and then was so upset when I read the words "The End". Looking forward to more books about the lickolious Kayden. I may have a new book boyfriend. Dang that boy knows all the right words and moves. HOT HOT HO and SWEATY- you don't want to miss this!!! Yum!!

So I’ll admit I was not impressed with this book. I more saddened by this because I felt it had so much promise but I just felt like it dragged on and the main male character Kayden came off as weak and whiney. For a former bad boy I just didn’t get that vibe. Sure I’m all for a guy who is passionate about one woman but too much about him just played off wrong and I couldn’t fully accept him. Even weak characters can redeem themselves but I felt like Kayden was constantly walking on the edge of a brick wall throughout.

”I lived another life in my books, one filled with excitement and passion. My book boyfriends dominated me, fucking me so hard that my orgasms knocked me out.”-Sophia

What’s so great about this story is how original it is and is not. It all starts after Sophia receives a friend request from Kayden Michaels on Facebook. She is hesitant to accept before doing some further research (gotta love the girl). She realizes they are from the same hometown and share some mutual friends so she figures why not. Over time the two get to know each other on a deep level though Sophia still prefers staying at home with a book and all the naughty boys/toys it contains. She can’t understand Kayden’s fascination with her and since he admits to being single and a bit of a man-whore she doesn’t really consider him wanting her, a hum-drum librarian from Florida.

Like most men Kayden is both unclear and unsure of what he wants and has a difficult way of sharing these feelings with Sophia. The two are often at crossroads because they stink at communication. What worked so well online has a cautionary time catching up once they meet and meet they do.

“Messaging and talking no longer satisfied my craving. I believe I loved her before I ever touched her… Is that possible? I needed a good girl in my life, and I wanted somebody I could trust with my secrets and my heart.” – Kayden

Putting on her brave pants brings these two together. With Kayden’s “I’m not looking for love and I stay away from any situation where it’s even a possibility,” attitude Sophia feels like she’ll be nothing more than another warm body for Kayden to lose himself in. Kayden has his work ahead of him to prove her otherwise.

Of course no book is complete without a crazy ex. And boy does Kayden’s put the “Capital C” in Crazy. Not only does she cause crazy drama, Kayden has his own share of secrets and skeletons in the closet to deal with. He has to come clean with Sophia not knowing how she will react. Will she accept the real him, faults and all? Or will she take her chances and run home for good. I was upset with Kayden way too many times and I think that’s the overall problem for me with this story. Everyone has pain but Kayden deals with his in a selfish way and sometimes reacts very harshly when many times it’s beyond undeserving. I’m not a fan of weak males and that’s how it played out for me, though, in Sophia’s eyes he redeemed himself, I just didn’t really feel it, or at the very least feel that it would last.

Overall dual POV’s really helped move the story along. I also really enjoyed the tour of New Orleans, it shows the authors own passion for the famous city and I felt like I was there myself. However what I liked least was Kayden’s sharing skills. For example he shares about his non-relationship ways and at the same time claims to love her without knowing her and only seeing her image online. That’s fine and dandy but as a female that is just too many kinds of confusing, I mean what did he expect her to think when they met. Maybe I was just in a mood when I read this but it was just okay. Luckily I felt the story moved fast and though there were instances I wish were left out, I finished it and was glad how things worked out.

I am just going to say this straight out and I am sorry for this but this book was IN-FUCKING-CREDIABLE! Holy Shizz do you feel me...... yes you will feel me when you read this book. I have read a lot of romance books with bad boys and good girls but holy shizz did this book take me on a roller coaster of a journey and a train wreck all at once and I would not put this book down because I wanted no effing way I needed to know what happened next. Lord I was so full of angst at times waiting to see what was going to happen that I could feel my heart racing so fast so full of adrenalin that I dam near died. I swear I could not read fast enough and when I got to certain scenes in the book and yes the sex scenes are so off the hook I wanted me a Kayden because he is hot sex on a platter. Oh and the way this couple met was a change from your everyday meet and greet that it brought something special to the story.

Kayden is your everyday bad boy who is as bad as they come. He does what he wants when he wants and how he wants. The phrase Live hard die hard came to mind a few times because he did what he wanted and did not give a shizz about what people thought. But like every bad boy Kayden has a past filled with secrets and he keeps it under wraps for a while but what you do in the dark always comes to light and when Kayden meets Sophia who becomes his light he does not want that darkness to get anywhere near her but the darkness has it's way and pretty soon all the secrets and lies Kayden has tried to keep come out and he will have to fight for the girl he loves.

Sophie OMG Sophie I loved this girl as our heroine because she was real to me. A lot of the times you can't relate to the heroine because they are annoying or stupid but she was just like your everyday average girl who fell for the bad boy and wanted him in every way and decided that know matter what happened she was going to stand by her man. What she had to face was Kaydens crazy ass ex-girlfriend and his addictions and his secrets he has hidden for so long. But in the end Sophia will get to see the real Kayden the layers underneath all that bad boy exterior and what she finds she loves and is not going to get rid of it.

But in the end will it be worth it or will Kaydens demons be to much......... You have to read it to find out!

I, myself, was very intrigued by this book. My main reason was because I met my husband online :)

I wanted to see if Kayden and Sophia’s relationship would be more than they wanted it to be and to find out if it would last for the two of them.

Kayden is sweet, loving, and an overall amazing guy. He was so gentle towards Sophia. I loved him. Not to mention just his presence seems to turn women into a babbling mess. He’s very very romantic, every woman dreams of a man like Kayden. Someone who will take care of you pampers you, and even cook for you.

Sophia was one of the nicest and sweetest girls. She had such a big heart. I absolutely loved and adored how Kayden helped her to get over her insecurities. He helped to make her feel better and feel loved. She was also really thoughtful. I was loving every minute of their relationship. How they were getting to know each other and falling for one another. It was beautiful.

It absolutely broke my heart in two when they would have to go their separate ways because I know that it meant so much to them to get to see one another. They were falling in love with one another. I cried a lot in this book because I just wanted the two of them to get to see each other all the time and not have to worry about how long they had together. It was so very sweet how Sophia started sending Kayden packages to show him that she missed and loved him. Each one held something just as amazing as the last. It was beautiful.

Don’t get me wrong this story is by far from being a perfect fairy tale. Life throws them so many crazy curve balls. They have to fight for their relationship and do everything to keep each other strong and together. It’s one of the most amazing stories because it happens every day. People meeting online and people trying to survive a long distance relationship. It was real.

The ending was just how I hoped it would be. I loved it and was so happy that the two amazing characters go the ending they so well deserved.

Untangle Me by Chelle Bliss captured my interest right away. I liked that the two main characters Kayden and Sophia met in an unusual way, one I have never read about before in a book. It was adorable and different. Once they meet it is instant love and the “I love you’s”. I do not mind the instant love connection and enjoyed the two characters a lot.

The story itself was okay… it was hard to get into after the characters met. I think the idea of the story is interesting it just didn’t work for me. The writing was good and I liked the descriptions and details the author added to the book but I just could never get into the story.

I would read more from the author in the future but this book just wasn’t for me.

I give Untangle Me 3 Stars.

Untangle Me is the story of Kayden and Sophia – complete opposites, who find one another through a chance encounter on social media.

As Sophia begins to realize just how boring her life is becoming, excitement blooms and his name is Kayden Michaels. A random friend request from a friend of a friend – and months of chatting while separated by a state, Sophia is quickly falling for a man who is ready to color her worlds.

As Sophia and Kayden meet, it is clear that while she is a bit buttoned-down, he is all wild and in typical bad boy fashion, damaged. A series of bad romantic choices and lifelong issues with being abandoned, it is clear to see that Kayden is a train wreck waiting to happen. But it is also clear as day, that he is a man who longs to be in love – to have something worth holding onto. And for him, Sophia is it.

I have a huge thing for damaged heroes and as much as I like the rich-alphaholes, there is just a special place in my heart for those boys who are broken. I think I viewed Kayden as less of an alpha –and more of a troubled guy who was just really searching out for someone to love him. He had this wee bit of desperation to him when it came to love. So although at times, he got a little TOO beta for my tastes, I think it was just his vulnerability shining through.

This revised version is the updated debut novel by Chelle Bliss and it was sort of a trip to read this after reading all her prior releases. There has been a lot of growth in her abilities since this was written, and although not my favorite of her books, I still enjoyed it.

*This review was edited because it was lacking in good points versus bad. I aim for balance and honesty in my reviews and I stand by my words. This is solely my opinion and may not coincide with others' views.*

I really wanted to get into this story, but I took issue with the serious lack of editing. The tense switched constantly, there were missing, misspelled, and misused words, which I can normally overlook, but there were just too many and it affected the readability for me.

While the story started off strong, with Sophia looking for more than her navy blue life and Kayden searching for nothing more than a little fun, it fell short for me when they finally meet and experience insta-love. It just didn't fit with the Kayden we get to know. I would have liked to see that part developed a little more.

The problems continued when the author inserted moments of filler to further the storyline. There were many, many instances when Sophia or Kayden would mention something that we, the reader, had no idea happened, and then explain it away. This happens with sexual play, meeting old friends, and more. It was as though the author walked away for a bit and when she came back, she decided to head in a different direction and used a quick summary of events to explain it away. I wasn't buying. While that is okay in some instances, I would have rather experienced the majority of those scenes rather than simply being told they happened and made to accept it as truth.

Finally, Kayden's issues were something that I think worked fairly well, but I didn't enjoy the back and forth I-want-to-be-there-for-him-and-care-for-him-because-I-love-him to I-don't-think-I-can-handle-his-issues-right-now-so-he'll-have-to-do-it-himself crap that Sophia bounced between when his problems came to light.

The stuff I liked: As I mentioned before, the beginning was great. It was different from other books that I have read and it was cute they way they came together. Also, the sex was hot and plentiful. I've never been to "NOLA" before, but from what was described, it aligns with what I have seen of it in the media and it sounded like someplace I would like to visit one day.

Again, I have to say, I REALLY wanted to enjoy this book, but it just didn't do it for me. As it stands, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending it to my friends.

Kayden is a dream of a character!

Having been teased with Kayden in Trottle Me and Throttled I realised that the time is right to get to know this mysterious man better so Untangle Me was brought to the front of my TBR.

We've heard that Kayden and Sophia have had their troubles but until you read Untangle Me you don't appreciate what this lovable couple have been through to get where they are today.

Kayden has so many demons to fight that you wonder how his relationship with Sophia can survive. The biggest demon though comes in the form of his unstable ex-girlfriend, Lisa, who is determined to break this man by continually pushing and pulling on his heart strings.

I love the innocent way the relationship starts between Sophia and Kayden and how quickly the bond develops between the two albeit through a social network site. It's only upon meeting though do the two fully comprehend what they have together and that's a chemistry that will overcome all, or will it?

With a new problem in his life though, Kayden turns once again to his emotional crutch, alcohol, and it's up to Sophia to help Kayden to come through this latest episode.

Kayden is a dream of a character and you can't help but want to hug him and to remind him that he is a strong man and not the broken shell that Lisa makes him believe. I love how open he is about his feelings with Sophia and the way he expresses himself.

"Your words captured my heart, and I fell for you before I ever touched you. I didn't want to open my heart to anyone, but you, you seeped into my veins bringing a new meaning to my life. Being with you in person only made my feelings deeper for you, sealing my fate," he said. "I want you to be mine....I will not share you with anyone."

This story is a real emotional rollercoaster as it twists and turns through Sophia and Kayden's relationship. I'm glad I read this book when I did though, after Throttle Me, as it gave me a great appreciation of the hints offered by Sophia in that story as to the battles she and Kayden have fought.

Next up is Kayden (#0.5) and the background to his life that he has yet to share.

When the opening scene of a book has you grinning like an idiot, you know it's going to be a fun ride!!! I loved this book from the get go. Seriously, at 5% I knew I was hooked.

Sophie leads a boring, "navy blue" life. The only real excitement she gets is from the steamy books she lives vicariously through. She doesn't think particularly highly of herself, partly due to her past relationships but also due to her choice to live life in the slow lane. The very slow lane.

"I'm a school librarian, live in Florida, divorced, I'm thirty-three and I'm navy blue."

"I've never thought of myself as ugly, but more ordinary."

Kayden is your resident bad boy with a past he'd rather forget. He's sworn off love and relationships completely. After you've had your heart ripped out the way he has, it's easy to see why! His love life consists of some one nighters with a few friends with benefits.

"I thought I found 'the one' twice in my life... I've abandoned the possibility and stopped dating all together.'

'You've given up on dating entirely?'

'Yes, strictly physical relationships now."

As much as Sophia is getting sick of living a borefest of a life, she's also nervous to break out of the mold. She knows Kayden could be dangerous for her but has to decide if it's worth the risk.

Kayden enters her life like a hurricane, rocking her heart and her body to it's core. He wanted to show Sophia what he had to offer, but wasn't prepared when she showed him what he'd been missing. Maintaining a long distance relationship with weeks upon weeks in between visits is hard on each individually and as a couple. Kayden is harboring some dark secrets, keeping them locked away to protect Sophia. The problem is, the past doesn't always stay hidden, and sometimes protection can be futile, especially when dishonestly is in the mix.

What I loved:

Sophia, although insecure, never waivered in her love for Kayden. She, at any time could have decided she bit off more than she could chew and got way more than she ever bargained for and split. Even when her heart was broken, she stood by her man and fought for him.

Kayden didn't fight his feelings for Sophie out of self preservation, he welcomed them with open arms. He didn't let his fear of getting hurt again stop him from the best thing that ever happened to him. When things go wrong for Kayden, they went way wrong. My heart hurt for him!

One of my most favorite things about this book is how they were so quick to forgive. They knew that in the end, their love is what mattered the most.

I wanted soooooooooo badly for these two to have a happy ending. Did they? I guess you'll have to read it and find out! 5 stars!

Unfortunately, this just wasn't for me.
There were a few things I liked. I liked the last few pages. I liked the dual POVs.
But...that was pretty much it for me.
I think the story had some real potential, showing how real relationships disintegrate and the frustration and all...but it just fell short for me.

It started with promise...but...

to illustrate some issues, I'm spoiling
I may have liked the story better, awkward transitions and strange dialogue if I had just felt the characters more. Neither of them really got to me. I just kind of saw them in an abstract, disconnected kind of way.

This book captured me right the first page! Untangle me is in dual POV's of Sophia and Kayden. Their story showcases: strength, friendship, love, loss, sadness, pain, anger, deception, jealously and so much more!

Sophia is a school Librarian. She always plays by the rules, until she gets a message on FB from Kayden. Kayden was a friend of her brother's back in school. Therefore, what goes from strangers.. to friends.. to so much more! She can't wait to talk to him everyday and so much more! Eventually it happens where she goes to meet him and it was wonderful. However, can the feelings she has for him overcome the past that lurks behind him?? Can she accept it, help him and make their relationship work or move on to someone better suited for her with less baggage/past?

Kayden finds Sophia online in FB. He is a playboy, but something in him knows that Sophia doesn't deserve that and has fallen for her. He wakes up every morning because of her. However, despite the love, interactions via online, skype and visits can he keep his past under control or will he lose her from his past he wants to keep from her? He wants her and only her.. no one else, but can he keep her?

This book had me extremely happy, sad, shocked, wanting to reach into the book and heal both characters and then slap some as well!

If you love a man who wants to take care of one woman, enjoys taking control of their sexual encounters/brings fantasies to life, a woman who will do about anything for the one man who makes her life light up, bring her sexual fantasies to life, suspense, jealously, love, crazy ex's and more .. then this book is for you!

Wonderful read and am now very ANXIOUS/EXCITED for the next book that showcases Kayden's life before Sophia! So looking forward to it!!

* I recvd a copy of this book while on the book tour!*

I couldn't finish, I couldn't even read more than 25% of the book because I just couldn't get past the fact that everything happened so fast and I kept wondering how the hell they changed from just two people talking to madly in love with each other because their dialogue was so bland and strange and... boring? I didn't felt their connection and what they found special in each other because I couldn't bring myself to like any of them. Which is weird because I love this type of book and I always finish them, something about this just rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe I should have read the rest of it, or maybe I'm just in a huge book's funk, but I'm so disappointed because I was expecting more, but anyway, I get why some people like it because it has a great premise, I just didn't liked the execution. By the way, wasn't Kayden supposed to be a bad boy?

Um.. 2½ stars

Loved that the author was trying to make this novel more "real world" with regular people with regular jobs and all too common problems BUT reading about broke alcoholic who never seeks help and continues to drink with permission of hid GF and still the couple found their HEA??Seriously??
Kayden was just way too soft when he should have been a “bad boy that never played by the rules"The characters acted like they were in their 20s instead of in their 30's.

It a was good plot and had so much potential but it was poorly developed.

First off I hate rating books low but sometimes I have to suck it up and do it. This had potential but fell really flat. The characters weren't developed enough for my tastes. The bad boy wasn't really a bad boy. Just a sweet one with a bad past. The good girl was too insecure. They both are in their 30s but act way younger and the dialog is not what you expect for 30 year olds. Everything for me was just lacking. :(

Kayden at times doesn't appreciate his woman's clothing choices, “I’m buying you a real suit today. One that shows off that effing knockout body you have underneath that thing.” I liked this book, Kayden was attentive, he had his demons, but when it came to Sophia he was attentive, and Sophia didn't let her man get away with things, she was no weakling.

OK there are so many negative reviews, I can see why because I was about to give this 3 stars but I kinda liked this story because:

1. the story didn't stopped when they have met and was stretched out right after and another conflict was brewing

2. it was H.O.T!

I liked it =)

I don't even remember why did I DNF-ed this book. It's been too long :(

Maybe I'll give it a try someday. Um, maybe not.
