Karen Booth is a Midwestern girl transplanted in the South, raised on 80s music and repeated readings of Forever by Judy Blume. She writes steamy contemporary romance and women's fiction.

Abu veikėjai man labai patiko. O ir sekso netrūko. Viskas baigėsi nuostabia laiminga pabaiga.

Strangers in the night can lead to forever! I was enthralled with the story from the beginning, but found it a little difficult to sink my teeth into. I think the plot had great potential, but would have been a little more explosive if perhaps we had seen the story line leading to her being secreted away in a mountain paradise. It's possible that story was told in the serial that it mentions this arose from, but having not read that yet, it fell a little flat for this reader. I still enjoyed the story, and the characters were a lot of fun to get to know ... it wasn't my favorite from this author, but still quite entertaining!

When a sexy billionaire sweeps her off her feet (in a most unexpected way!), Joy McKinley finds herself stuck between a rock and a hard place. If her true identity gets out, it could jeopardize her secret hideout and being as broke as broke can be, that will leave her out on the street ... but as the days go by, she really likes this guy and lying to him is breaking her heart!

Alexander Townsend has reason to be suspicious when he first meets someone .. and he did find himself wondering why she was so secretive when they first met ... but as he slowly lets his guard down and lets himself enjoy his time with Joy, he starts yearning for more. When he takes a step towards making that happen, she braves his wrath and tells him all of her secrets ... will he forgive all or tell her to get lost?

I love stories that have a lot of snow in them and set in beautiful towns at Christmas time and this one is really good, strangers that meet on a very snowy night, a car that loses control brings two people together both have trust issues for different reasons but both need love and cupid has thrown her arrow at these two.

Joy McKinley is a chef and baker she has worked for some of the best in America but after an argument with her former boss from a very well to do family Joy is hiding out in luxury while trying to get enough money behind her to settle, Joy is an honest person but when she is nearly ploughed down by a car in a snow storm the fibs start as her gorgeous rescuer asks some questions and this spark between them cannot be contained.

Alexander Townsend is a billionaire and he has been burnt before by a female after his money so he is very careful around females, but he is not only gorgeous but just about the most caring hero there is and when he rescues Joy he is compelled to stay with her for the night then they get snowed in and a very sensual and enjoyable few days is enjoyed, but when the time comes for it to end Alex doesn’t want it to, but some truths from Joy turn things upside down.

I really enjoyed this story MS Booth has bought to life Alex and Joy and their sensual journey, with snow and wonderful food, the caring and love that is shown by them both is so endearing and their HEA had me smiling, thank you MS Booth for a fabulous story that I do recommend.

Snowed In With A Billionaire by Karen Booth is a holiday themed romance about a woman down on her luck who gets a hand from fate.

Joy McKinley is trying to get back on her feet. After leaving home due to an abusive ex, then having to quit her job in California, the son of her last boss gives her the keys to their family chalet in Vail, Colorado to regroup over Christmas. Joy is able to get a job at the local bakery, and counts every penny, knowing she has only a short time to find a real place of her own. When a near accident in snowy conditions results in billionaire Alexander Townsend stranded with her at the estate, Joy can’t afford to tell him who she really is, since she’s not supposed to be staying there.

Alex knows that something isn’t quite right about Joy’s evasion to fairly simple questions. He’s been burned before, when a fiancée turned out to be after his money, and didn’t really love him. But even if she doesn’t want to tell him personal details, her actions show her to be a caring and vivacious woman. He’s only going to be in Vail for a few weeks, and a sweet holiday romance is just the thing to put some of his business worries behind him. But can he afford to risk his heart on a woman who might have one too many secrets?

Joy McKinley is a chef/baker at a local small town bakery in a mountain town of Colorado. Although she would love to go home to visit family during the holidays her ex makes it difficult. Her life seems to be falling apart around her. Her car breaks down, her money is running out, and the time in the cabin she is living in is also running out. One night while walking up the mountain to the cabin she is almost hit by a car when it spins out of control. In comes Alexander Townsend III. He comes to her and pulls her from the snowbank and stays with her to make sure she's ok. These are wonderful characters that you will just fall in love with! The story line is easily believable and keeps you reeled in!

Karen Booth's book, Snowed in with a Billionaire, is a fun romantic read. The main characters: Joy McKinley and Alexander Townsend come from worlds that don't usually mix. Unexpectedly thrown together, they have time to get to know each other's personalities. They are compatible and enjoy each other's company. The pace of the book is good and the book is entertaining. This is one of those books that leaves you with a good feeling!

Joy McKinley has a secret she doesn't want the people of Vail to know. But what happens when a super sexy billionaire is snowed in with her? Karen Booth brings the opposite attracts trope to life in this sensual and vivid story. Beautifully written and wonderfully characterized, the story unfolds with drama and heart stopping emotion. Thoroughly enjoyable and the perfect holiday treat!

I will start out by saying I don't tend to read many romance novels or Harlequins, so they aren't really my genre- but my book club picked Christmas romances for this month. This was a quick, fun, cheesy, winter romp of a romance. Super predictable, but it was exactly what I expected. It was like reading a Hallmark Christmas movie with way more smut. If this is a genre you like, definitely pick this one up.

This is a very well written book, and had me eager to read it through. I love the company knows what proofreading or even spell-check is! lol ❤

Definitely a good Passion category read. The way the characters felt & acted definitely seemed real. The 2 main characters are very dynamic, and not shallow developed characters at all.

DNF pretty early on. The back story just doesn't make sense to me, so the plot itself just doesn't work.
***She's such an amazing chef working at a high profile restaurant and she has no $ saved for a months rent and a move to a different place??? So your going to go squat in some Colorado chalet in secret? Sorry, no.

This book needs to hit my donation pile.

I should have been able to whip through this in one snowy afternoon (I read quickly) but had to keep stopping because of the tension waiting for heroine to be discovered by the family who owned the house in which she was squatting and expecting a big blow up with the hero over it. And . . . nothing. Utterly disappointing.

I liked it. Hero and heroine were really likable and not annoying.

I liked how hero treated heroine and that he was such a good guy. Even when he was mad at the heroine at the end he didn't say truly terrible things to her.

I liked the heroine's personality and that she was also a good person. Her lies weren't terrible and they were about her not anything that would hurt the hero (except he had trust issues from previous relationship).

I liked the epilogue and that it turned out heroine was pregnant from when they were together before breakup so regardless if he came around when he did (a few days) he still would have had to seen her and resolve their issues when she told him about baby.
But I like that he came to his senses before they knew about baby, it makes their connection feel a lot stronger by the fact that he couldn't stay away from heroine for long. P.

* Also good insight into the Marshall family (Secrets of the A list) from heroine that worked/lived with them. It shows that none of the members of that family were that likable (except maybe Rafe) and that happy endings for them weren't in the cards for them. The last book (episode 12) ended with none of their storyline resolved and all their lives were a mess, also none were very good people. So perhaps that's just how the rest of their lives were with secrets, lies and infidelity.
