I loved this book that narrates the idea and then the fulfilling a dream to build a cabin in the northwoods. The author is someone I met as a child and last saw a couple years ago. I'm now at an age when he was playing out his dream.
There are so many people named in this book that I knew or know and I loved being reminded of how they acted and what they were doing. My memory served me well as I remember his dog Sundance and his amazing cat Toivo.
I also remember going up to the cabin to watch it being built and then enjoying the warmth of the owner and mutual acquaintances. Thor really created a community with a lovely shared experience.
