I think it was Gary Player who used the phrase, “the paralysis of analysis” in regard to players who have oh-so-many swing thoughts, positions, and details going on in their heads prior to each shot on the course. Here’s a comfortable, dependable approach to the game that will not only bring enjoyment back to the game but will produce amazing results as well. HIGHLY recommended!!!
I somehow typed the search, and I caught your video of you swinging a bath towel. I assume that it was an joke, I did finish the Video. My next trip to the Course I tried it. It was a great shot, with no effort. With a small back yard, I have been hitting plastic lids from Plastic water bottles for practice , you will be hearing from me before Long. Fantastic simple to read Book.
I especially like the tips on how to relax and enjoy the game. I especially like the tips on the grip and timing. Also the next time I am on the course, I will try the one-man-scramble.
I liked it enough that I scheduled personal lessons with Erika. I’ve always been a “hitter” and now that I’m 73 years old, I need to make myself more of a “swinger” (ala Stacy Lewis’ beautiful swing).
The best golf instruction book I’ve read in a long time. Her videos are also quite good. Honestly, just watching and reading I’ve lowered my score, plus I make more flush contact. I swing “easier” or better to say, “with less manipulation” in Larkinspeak.
The book describes more in detail what I think happens naturally when you swing the way Ernest Jones instructs. It also descibes the sience behind it in an interesting way.
I have played golf for 60 years and have taken many lessons and learned how to swing a golf club. I was a decent golfer but could never put it all together. This book and the “True Swing” method has made me a better golfer. At 80 years old I can hit the ball as far as ever and do not have to worry about hitting the correct position! Makes the golf swing seem easy!
