The main theme in this book is pain. The author suffers from physical and financial pain caused by lyme disease. There is also the theme of heartbreak expressed emotionally in some poems. I can only hope for the poet to find more strength.

I thought I was blown away by "Burden of Love," but this collection is the other's rival. Another collection of the darkness and light mixture in love. "Bitter Love" really ignited my heart, soul, and memories simultaneously. I remember what it was like to be in love, the pain of falling without a safety, and the scar as the aftermath. And then, "Dance of the Wounded Souls" paints a picture of broken, wounded people endlessly dancing, no longer able to remember the "why." LOVE IT! Awesome, profound pieces that will leave an imprint on you.
