My Review:

Rule Breakers had a little bit of everything and something for everyone to enjoy; interesting and diverse characters, amusing humor, mystery, a sweet and sensual romance, computer hacking, and endearing protagonists. Mary Billiter is a new find for me, but I am going to rectify my inattention to her work as I enjoyed her humor and style. She lost me a few times with the computer coding and geek speak, but I snapped to when the couple went from hacking to smacking lips and then on to sizzle and snap, right in the computer lab. I adored the gentle giant of Hank the Tank and look forward to reading more of Ms. Billiter’s resort based series.

Whilst I enjoyed this read, I found it understand the comedy tag. The events of the first few chapters took me on a route I hadn't expected and it was these events that made it hard for me to find the comedy in this book.

Carmen and Hank come together to get to the bottom of what is is happening at Waterfront Point Hotel by breaking the rules. Carmen is a computer student who uses these skills to do a little breaking and entering of the cyber kind.

Even though there was lots of techno speak, I felt able to keep up and understand which meant I was able to stay in the story. I found both the characters likable and the story moved quickly. I enjoyed trying to figure out what was going on as well as the surprises along the way.

Fun, sweet, and the perfect amount of heat. Mary Billiter's stand-alone romantic comedy is such a great read. Not only is there a huge shock, teary-eyed moment, but there's also an element of investigative mystery, alongside a perfect blend of romance and humor.

From the first page, the reader will be captivated and swept away in the author's world. Not only is the narrative well executed, but the characters are brought to life will witty dialogue and realistic exchanges.

A romance to devour and escape in. Perfection.

Rule Breakers is the third book in the Resort Romances Series by Mary Billiter. This is an entirely enjoyable, and entertaining read. I have enjoyed the other two books in this series- but this one really set itself apart from the rest and is my favourite of the series, so far! The story is an insta-love/contemporary romance with a bit of a mystery, a little suspense, some drama, a few twists- and a large dose of spicy and erotic goodness.
Hank Hughes is the Director of Purchasing at the Carlyle Hotel in Newport, Oregon. He’s travelled 1000 miles and arrived in town to take care of some personal business. He’s out of his element, a little adrift- so the last thing he expects is a chance meeting with a beautiful, sassy and sweet woman- who captivates him like no one else ever before. Hank really intrigued me in the previous book ‘Escape Clause’, as a secondary character, and I love finding out more about him in this story.
Carmen Gonzales juggles attending college for a Computer Science Degree, and working at the Waterfront Point Resort as a valet greeting guests and parking their cars. She’s sweet, petite, geeky, sassy, and a bit of a rule breaker. I enjoyed getting to know her so much better after meeting her in the first book of the series ‘Do Not Disturb’, as one of the supporting cast of characters.
The story really takes off when the two team up to investigate some shady dealings and a case of computer espionage that hits close to home. Their investigation draws them together and the sparks fly. Will they get to the bottom of it all and discover what’s going on? What happens when their feelings become involved? What happens when there is a misunderstanding? What happens when Hank has to return home?
This book could be read as a standalone, but I really recommend reading the other two books first as they introduce the other character’s and give some backstory that will make your reading experience of this book so much more enjoyable.
There were some very emotional moments in the story that tugged at my heart, but this was offset with witty humour that was sprinkled throughout the story.
As I have come to expect from Ms. Billiter, this book is really well written, interesting, and believable. Her characters are amazing, really well developed and endearing. I loved Hank in the last book but grew to appreciate him even more in this story. Carmen is such a smart, strong and wonderful person- you can’t help but love her beautiful quirky, geeky self. I also loved the camaraderie and funny banter between all the characters… and it was great to ‘catch up’ with the characters from previous books.
The only ‘issue’ that I had with this book is the cover. While the cover itself is quite nice, I didn’t think it captured the characters accurately as Carmen is described in the book- “her blue eyes were an exotic contrast against her butterscotch-kissed skin and silky BLACK hair”… and Hank is described as a MAMMOTH of a man with arms like tree branches, a Sexy BEAST of a man- and I don’t think the picture on the front cover captured them as they’re described. But I guess this is somewhat of a minor issue and didn’t really detract from my enjoyment of the story.
I’m looking forward to more from Ms. Billiter!!

Thank you, Ms. Billiter!

Rule Breakers (Resort Romance Book 3)
By: Mary Billiter
5 out of 5 stars

The story Rule Breakers (Resort Romance Book 3) by Mary Billiter is a wonderful romance book. I was excited when I learned of the third story in the Resort Romance series. I loved the first two and this book is a wonderful addition. It tells the story of Carmen Gonzalez and Hank Hughes. I love both of these characters. Carmen is a valet at the Waterfront Point hotel. She also is going to school where she studies computer science. She already knows a lot about computers and their software and as is told in this story is always learning more. She is smart and when she is confronted with a problem or mystery to be solved works hard to come up with the answers. Hank Hughes is dealing with a family situation when he meets Carmen. These two soon find they have an attraction to each other and their chemistry is red hot. Carmen is someone that sometimes acts first and thinks later. While these two have found that their feelings for each other are strong, will her breaking of the rules cause their relationship to break apart? I enjoyed reading how these two interact. Hank’s protective side comes out when he is with Carmen and when he sees her mistreated by others comes to her defense. Their feelings for each other have developed quickly and sometimes this causes doubts. Even though there are issues that arise between them, I always wanted these two to find a way to stay together. I loved how the other characters helped both Carmen and Hank with the situation that they are investigating and also with advice on their relationship. These two are so fortunate to have friends that care about them. This is an author who writes stories and creates characters that you won’t soon forget. While this story can be read as a standalone I highly suggest also reading the first two books as well. The story of Carmen and Hank does include steamy romance. It would be recommended for mature readers.

Rule Breakers (Resort Romance Book 3) by Mary Billiter is the third book in her Resort Romance series. This story can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you reading the other two books. You will get a sense of this author's writing skills and her great attention to details. In each of her books in this series, she brings mystery, some action and hot romance and this story is no different. I found this story to be a little sad in parts but it will also have you laughing in others. I enjoyed the characters in this book as they are connectable and true to life. They will pull you into their world of resorts and love. The couple of twists and turns in this story will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat and other times, you will say really, what was she thinking. In this story you will find Carmen and Hank. They under sad conditions but they soon find themselves working together to find what is really happening at the resort. Neither one is worried about breaking rules in order to find out what they want to know. She is a computer student who isn't afraid to use her skills and he is after justice. Carmen is a great character, she is strong and independent but yet has compassion. She is determined to find out what is happening at the resort. Hank is handsome and has been in town for family business and to bring justice to an injustice. He just want to make things right. What they find along the way, you will have to read this story to find out but you will want to find out! I found their story fast reading and flowing. I read this book in one sitting as I lost track of time until the end. You will get pulled in from this author's first word until her very last. I highly recommend this story as I know you will want to know the story of Carmen and Hank!

Rule Breakers (Resort Romance book 3)
By Mary Billiter

Rule Breakers is the third book in the Resort Romance series by Mary Billiter.
While Carmen works as a Parking Valet at the beautiful Waterfront Point Resort, she encounters many different characters each shift she works. But none has captured her attention like Hunter had when he arrived. Being so captivated by Hunter, Carmen forgets to ask his last name and now she needs to find out what it is before she gets in trouble again.
Hunter has booked in to the Waterfront Point Resort, he is also the brains behind the FrogKiss computer program that the resort is using. Carmen is the valet parking his car and all he can think is that she is one mighty fine-looking woman. Hunter is having a meeting with Michael regarding the computer program and what Michael eventually doesn’t impress Hunter.
To start with Michael wishes to have an update on the system so that his staff can’t find out who the A Listers are when they book in to the resort under assumed names. Hunter thinks to himself this wasn’t on the original contract but tells Michael this can be done. But what annoys Hunter is when Michael tells him he also wants something put on the system that is password protected so only the directors can use, Michael wants to know what the staff are doing always. Hunter thinks fine but he also has a plan to put something in the program that he can see what Michael is doing at any given time. Hunter will be the only one that will know this free added feature is in the program. Hunter figures that is Michael can spy on his staff then there is no difference to him spying on Michael. Question is, is this added addition even legal for Hunter to do

Book Review: Rule Breakers (Resort Romance series book 3)
Author: Mary Billiter
FIVE STARS
Just like her first two books in this series, Mary Billiter has once again drawn me in and not let me leave until I read the last page. She had me laughing at a few of the antics between Hank and Carmen, yet, in the first couple chapters she had tears rolling down my cheeks. The visions she brought to my mind in the hospital scene. OH if only I had had someone there with me to help me through.... Can't give away any spoilers but let me just say, I have been Hank in this part of the book.
Anyway. This book is also a standalone, we do reunite with some of the characters of the first book, and it is really cool to see how they interact with each other and the dynamics that they have all gone through to get to where they are now. Meeting Carmen and Hank and watching things evolve between them, seeing them drawn to each other and the chemistry that they have is great. Watching them uncover Hunter's work and taking down the bad guys is nothing short of facinating, even if it means they have to be Rule Breakers.
I know there is a fourth book out and I will be reading it as soon as I can get my hands on it. I am truly becoming a one click fan of Mary Billiter. I just can't put her down. I know that if I am having a day where I just need to escape my own life I can pick up one of her stories and yes the characters may be having a rough time but they work through it and can make the best of it just like I try to do myself.
I will be on the look out for the next book!! Thank you Mary Billiter for taking me away from my life and sharing the lives of your book characters. LOVE IT!!

Rule Breakers by Mary Billiter is the third book in the Resort Romance series and follows the story of Carmen and Hank.

Carmen is a valet at the fancy resort hotel Waterfront Point her day was uneventful, until one afternoon her world is turn upside down by a gorgeous man with a nice butt. Carmen is that taken aback by him that she only gets his first name, Hunter and has to try and get her friend to help her locate the room he is in before she gets into trouble.

Hunter is the genus behind the computer software called FrogKiss which the hotel has just invested in, but after his meeting with the manager of the hotel he feel uncomfortable at what he has asked for the software to do. He never marketed the software to be a big brother for people using but that's what Michael Harpinton is wanting him to create.

Once leaving the meeting he makes his way to his room, where he has ordered room service and is talking to his big brother when something happens which will change Hanks, Hunters and Carmen's life forever. Will she get to see her dream man again or will a tragedy bring together to unlikely people miles away.

I loved the first two books in this series and have loved the writing style of Mary Billiter throughout. This story I thought was going to be epic from the start and was not wrong, it has all the characters from the other books but I am glad this book featured Hank. In the other books he has always been the guy who has secrets and i'm glad that you get a great insight to him.

I really can't wait to read the next instalment in this series I wonder who the next book will be regarding.

Title: Rule Beakers
Author:Mary Billiter
Series: Resort Romances #3

Rule Breakers was a good 4 star read.

Carmen works as a parking valet at the Waterfront Point Resort, this is where she meets Hunter. A very handsome man who she later finds out is the creator of FrogKiss. When she goes to his room to talk to him she ends up in an emergency nightmare.

Hank had been on the phone with Hunter when the tragedy occurred. While at the hospital he meets Carmen, the woman he talked to on the phone. Carmen witnesses a soft side to Hank while saying goodbye to his brother. Carmen and Hank had an instant connection and spend some time getting to know each other..

Tragedy and destiny couldn’t have brought us together for something as platonic as just friendship.

Hank ends up leaving without a goodbye to Carmen. Did she say or do something wrong?
Carmen discovers that she has something of Hunters that seems to be very important, a MUM stick. She is trying to find out what is on it so she can tell Hank. When Hank returns to get his brothers things and investigate what his brother was looking for, she is determined to not lose him again. Will Hank and Carmen find out what Hunter was looking for?

I have to say I really enjoyed Carmen’s humor, she had me LOL at times. I loved her version of church, so peaceful. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. These two were perfect for each other and I loved reading their story. The ending was great and I wouldn’t mind reading more from these two. The series can be read as standalones, but I highly suggest you read from the beginning.

Rule Breakers (Resort Romances book 3) By Mary Billiter 5 stars

Rule Breakers is the third book in the Resort Romances series. It is a series of standalone novels. You don't have to read them in order, but I recommend reading the books in this series. This is the second book by Mary Billiter that I have read. In both Resort Romances books, I have found that love doesn't come easy and there is a mystery to be solved. I really enjoy the suspense aspect that the author writes into her novels. It keeps the reader on the edge of their seat and coming back for more.
This book is about a woman named Carmen Gonzalez. Her upbringing has taught her that hard work pays off. She is a full time college student working as a valet while getting her computer programming degree. Life hasn't been easy for her. She faces hatred and bigotry everyday. The resort she works at may be beautiful from the outside, but behind closed doors is a different story. The employees have fought for equal rights and fair pay. The management is corrupted and Carmen sets out to do what she can to bring them down. After a hotel guest named Hunter makes a big impression on Carmen died, she sets out to bring justice to those employed at this ritzy hotel. Hank Hughes is the older brother of Hunter. Carmen is mesmerized by him. They both developed feelings for each other although it is a complex situation.
I recommend reading this series by Mary Billiter. Her characters are well developed and truly lifelike. It is easy to get lost in this book with twists upon every page turn. Hank is a hot Alpha male every reader needs to meet!

Rule Breakers
By Mary Billiter
5 stars

This is the third book that I have read by this author and I have to say I think it is my favourite out of this series. I love all the twists and turns that the author puts into these stories. I never know what to expect and so my attention is always captured from the very beginning.
This story started with action straight away! I was hooked into the story straight away. I loved that I had no idea what was going to happen – I also learnt some things along the way!! The opening few chapters to this book were quite intense and emotional.
I thought that Carmen was a great character. I really liked her. She was strong, independent, and clever with a great sassy side to her. I loved the way she stood up for herself when she needed to. Her computer skills were brilliant – it was nice to read about a different kind of Heroine in a story – I think this is one of the reasons why I liked her so much!
Along with Carmen was Hank! I really liked him too – Hank the Tank made me laugh a few times! I did really feel for him at the beginning and some of the things he said to his brother, Hunter, had me in tears! The chemistry between him and Carmen was scorching hot but as always the author writes these scenes really well.
I am really looking forward to reading more from this author in the future. Her resort series is really entertaining. All of the stories are different and there are some fabulous characters in them to fall in love with.

Rule Breaker by Mary Billiter was a sweet fast pace romance, that pulled at all the heart strings.

Being this is a first book that I've read from this author I was a little on edge. I like the mushy cheesy romance type books, but I normally stick close to home, so venturing out had me on shaky ground. I was not disappointed. The writing was well crafted and the tone had me hooked. The emotions that just spilled out in the first few chapters had those pesky tears trying to escape. It was touching and it really gave the two mains something to bond over, other then physical attraction.

I will say that the POV switches could have been done better, they weren't as seamless as I would have liked, and at times I did get a little confused as to who was talking. Maybe having the name of the person talking as a chapter title.

Though this is the third book in the Resort Romance series, you can read this as a standalone. And I will say that, I'm going to go back and read the other two books. I love the writing style, the tone, and I love how, though it is insta-love, it's done in a way where I didn't want to rip the book in two. It's done right, it adds to plot, no it drives the plot, instead of taking away form it.

This book is a must read for all those cheesy romance fans like myself. I'm going to be reading more from Mary Billiter, and you should too.

Happy Reading.

Rule Breakers by Mary Billiter is the third book in her Resort Romance series. Again she doesn’t disappoint, this is my second book by her and it was an amazing read. My favorite quote is
“And when I met you, you were an unexpected surprise. I knew you’d be amazing, but I didn’t know that your soul would touch mine”.
Mary has a way with writing out her characters so they are not only realistic but interesting even intriguing. This book has everything from suspense, humor and of course romance that keeps you hooked from the first page. This story brings in multiple characters from previous books which was nice to catch up with those especially as they add to the back story on the main characters. This story is about Carmen Gonzalez who works the valet at the Waterfront Point Hotel. She studies computer science at school and was already well diverse in computers. Hank Hughes ends up on the Pacific coast for family business which is when he meets Carmen. The two find out they have an attraction to each other and they end up with stronger feelings that developed rather quickly I think. I love how Hank was protective of Carmen almost instantly. I loved how this book went together and enjoyed the relationship between Carmen and Hank! There is so much I want to say but I don’t want to take away from the book! I highly recommend reading this but also reading the other 2 books in the series.

After having read the first two books in the Resort Romance series by Mary Billiter I have found my favorite one! Billiter has written another funny, heart felt romance with a little mystery. I love Carmen and Hank the Tank!!

Carmen and Hank are two unlikely people! I don’t want to give away too much but there is quite a twist right up front! At least something I wasn’t expecting! This whole book kept me on my toes. I really loved reading it! However, I do want to offer some words of advice: Watch out for Chapter 8!! Did not see that happening! Did not think I would experience the feelings that I did!

My only “complaint” was going to be the insta-love but Billiter really turned that into something special! It certainly wasn’t easy for Carmen and Hank and I think that helped with their situation.

I really hope there will be other stories in this series because I love that each story is its own stand-alone book. There was only a minor reference to Carmen’s friends, who were in book one, Do Not Disturb. I remember them because that was my first book by Billiter and I was so glad to have found a new author to follow!

I highly recommend this story, series and author!

Rule Breakers (Resort Romance Book#3)
Mary Billiter
5 Stars

Rule Breakers by Mary Billiter is a five star story, I have read the previous stories in this series and have enjoyed all of them. This story is no different, do not have read the previous stories to enjoy this book. This book is about Carmen Gonzalez and Hank Hughs.
Carmen is a valet at the Waterfront Point Hotel and studies computer science at the college. While on the job a very expensive Mercedes pulls up and Hank Hughs gets out of the car. He is gorgeous and at that moment Carmen is loving her job.
Hank is at the hotel on business, trying to figure out what is going with the hotel. Carmen and Hank begin working together to figure out what is happening and neither mind breaking the rules to figure out the mystery.
There are twist and turns in this story and a very heartbreaking tale within this story, so be prepared to shed a tear or two. Carmen is a strong and smart woman, she doesn’t let anything stop her from figures out problems or mysteries. Hank becomes very protective of Carmen, as they get to know each other their feelings grow.
This is another amazing story by this author and highly recommend this and the entire story.

Rule Breakers is the third book in the Resort Romances Series by Mary Billiter but can be read as a standalone. Rule Breakers main characters are Carmen Gonzalez and Hank Hughes. Carmen is a valet at the Waterfront Point Hotel and is about to graduate with a computer science degree. Hank Hughes is at the hotel after a family tragedy. Carmen and Hank will work together as a team to figure out what is going on at the Waterfront Point Hotel. Carmen and Hank have this chemistry even from when they first met, so working together comes with ease for them. Will Carmen and Hank be able to break the rules together? Will they figure out if something is going on?

Mary Billiter has written another funny romance with some suspense, Rule Breakers has a bit of everything to make it great. Ms. Billiter pays attention to detail, you can see this in her writing, with the way it flows. And the detail she pays to the development of her characters, they are real and easy to relate to. I read Rule Breakers in one sitting, I knew from the first page I would not stop reading till I finished the story. Another great read in the Resort Romances Series by Mary Billiter, I am looking forward to what comes next.

Rule Breakers
(Resort Romances #3)
By Mary Billiter
4 Stars!

Rule Breakers is #3 in the resort romances standalone series and this was hot funny read to enjoy over the weekend.
Carmen is pretty funny! I thought she was a strong female lead and she was likeable. After an unfortunate accident, Carmen discovers computer espionage at her workplace. In her travels to doing the right thing she meets Hank. Oh man oh man. He is cute and the chemistry between these two when they meet is on fire! These two get to know each other and feelings start emerging but of course like any good book couple deny it, until they don’t. Even with all the issues and hiccups that these two face, I was rooting for them the whole time because they make such an awesome couple!!

My Fav Quote from the book, “ I could have been covered in chocolate syrup and had hundred-dollar bills stuck all over me, and she still wouldn’t have been interested in me. A modern version of being tarred and feathered, and it wouldn’t even make her look twice in my direction. Epic fail.”

This book was funny, heart-felt and down right hot!! And I would recommend it to my friends and I cannot wait until I get my hands on the next one!

Rule Breakers by Mary Billiter is the third book in the Resort Romance Series! It's absolutely amazing!! Even though this is the third book in the series, it's a standalone, but I would recommend reading the previous two, just because the series and author are both great! One think I love about this series and the characters is how much detail is given to them, I feel like these are more than just book characters and they are very relatable. I would give this book 5 stars!

Carmen Gonzalez works the valet at the Waterfront Point Hotel and goes to school, where she is majoring in computer science. She is amazing with computers and can hack into almost anything. When she first meets Hank Hughes, she's taken back at how gorgeous he is and forgets to get his last name, so before she gets in trouble, she needs to figure it out. Hank Hughes is here to take care of family business and make sure everything is running smoothly. Meeting Carmen starts to turn his world upside down and have him questioning his latest business dealings. Can Hank handle Carmen's act first thinking? Or will Carmen show him that you can't always follow the rules?

This was a great addition to the series and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Rule Breakers- Mary Billiter

5 star review

Rule Breakers is another 5 star book from Mary Billiter. It’s an amazing story that is full of humour, love, and heartbreaking/heartwarming scenes all in one. I was really looking forward to reading this one as I had previously read Escape Clause and Spirited Away, other books in her Resort Romances series of standalones.

Mary has this incredible writing style that’s completely captivating and full of detail. Everything is so beautifully described that I always find myself completely immersed in the story. I wasn’t able to put this one down once I started it, I was consumed!

Rule Breakers follows Carmen and Hank two characters I really connected with. Hank is the strong and dominant type who just so happens to be Carmen’s perfect match, his easy going personality made him easy to love! I loved Carmen from the start, she was funny, honest and so witty. She was such a gentle character who always has a way with words and is always there to help a friend. I really loved Carmen and Hank’s story, it definitely wasn’t what I was expecting but it ended up being so much better then I had imagined.

I would recommend Rule Breakers to others, as well as, the other books in the series as they are all fantastic reads!

Rule Breakers is the third installment in the Resort Romance series by Mary Billiter. Just like the others in this series, this is a sweet and sexy romance novel about second looks at someone who is all wrong for you. There is some romantic comedy in this one, and while each of these stories could be read on their own, I recommend getting all three so that the story line flows better and makes more sense. Cameron and Hank, the two main characters, meet under less than ideal circumstances. Each of the characters that Billiter brings to the story are portrayed as strong, smart and realistically funny. I love how each of her stories have a real world feel to them so that anyone can find some points to relate too.

This is another great example of a new to me author who is now one that I have grown to love and can’t wait to see whatelse she brings to the world for our reading pleasure. Rule Breakers, and all the others from the Resort Romance series, are great reads if you are looking for funny and smart characters who find the person that makes them be better characters in the long run.

Rule Breakers (Resort Romance Book 3) By Mary Billiter

Rule Breakers (Resort Romance Book 3) By Mary Billiter Is the third book in the Resort Romance Series.Although this can be read as a standalone I do recommend reading the first two books in this series.I enjoyed this book as the author a has a way of drawing you in  from the beginning and holds your attention to the end.Her characters are amazing the attention to details she gives each one.I couldn't put this down once I started reading .In this story we get a bit of everything, mystery, action, romance. There's a few twists and turns, at some parts I was laughing and others was a bit sad. This story is Carmen and Hanks.Carmen and Hank come together to get to the bottom of what is really going on at the resort. They have no problem breaking the rules either if it helps them solve the problem. Carmen is a computer student and Hanks after Justice. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat and at other times just like wow really.Want to find out what happens, then I highly recommend you read this book. I look forward to reading more from this author

Rule Breakers is the third book in the Resort Romance Series by Mary Billiter. It is part of a series, but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I haven’t read any of the others in the series, but I did understand everything that was going on.
The characters in the other books, are in this book as well. It’s exceptionally blended, and meshes wonderfully!!
It’s a great contemporary romance novel, you’ll love and not want to put down!! The humor in the characters had me laughing out loud. I could actually picture Carmen saying some of the things.
Carmen Gonzalez is a witty, sarcastic ,no nonsense hispanic woman. She is the kind of woman, who doesn’t really think before she speaks… she says exactly what’s on her mind at all times. She is a brilliant computer geek, who happens to stumble upon espionage at her own workplace. She decides to take matter into her own hands.
You seriously need to read this book! Now I want to go back and read the other two books in the series!! I can’t wait to see what’s next!! Great job, Mary!!

Rule Breakers by Mary Billiter is the third book in her resort romance series. This is the second book in this series that I have read and the third book by this author and I was as enjoyable as the other books.

Carmen never expected in her job as a hotel valet that she would uncover a secret in her work. And yet that is exactly what happened when she discovered when she stumbles across computer espionage. Instead of reporting it the correct way Carmen decides to beat it. And how to do that? By hacking the system.
When her boss, Hank, arrives her hands on approach to stopping the wrongdoing may turn out to be a mistake. Or, given the attraction she feels for him, may turn out to be the best decision she has ever made.

This book has to be my favourite one by this author so far. I knew just from reading the blurb that I would enjoy this. The contrast of the geek and the suit was very well portrayed, helping to give the characters depth and keep them engaging. I always find her writing style to be a simple glowing style that carries you along nicely with the story, making it very easy to read any book you pick up with Mary’s name on it. Another good read!

Rule Breakers is one of the books in the Resort Romance series. It can be read as a standalone and does not end in a cliffhanger. Also, keep the tissues next to you, I cried a lot reading this book. It is a bittersweet story that will get you right in the feels. That being said, there is also a certain element of humor dispersed throughout that gives you a break from the serious moments.

Carmen’s life takes an interesting turn when she meets a hot guy that is staying at the resort where she works as a valet. Little does she know that because of him, her world will turn upside down. As she learns more about him, she also discovers some unsavory activities have been going on at the resort, leading her to try to help solve a mystery.

Hank comes into town to take care of some personal business, but his synchronistic encounter with Carmen is something he didn’t even know he needed. As things progress, he and Carmen find themselves enmeshed in a corporate espionage scandal and their own developing feelings for each other.

Unfortunately for Carmen, it comes down to breaking the rules or breaking her heart.

Rule Breakers is book three in the Resort Romances series by Mary Billiter. What an endearingly sweet and delightfully dramatic drama. I have ti say that Rule Breakers is my absulote favourite story in this worderfully entertaining series. This author is like fine wine, and just keeps getting better and better with each story. I could not bear to be apart from Carmen and Hank for too long, and finished their story way too early. They just provided that warm feeling that is everlasting and memorable.

From the first meeting there was instant attraction. Their story was filled with many dramatic trysts which curl the toes and fill the eyes with tears. A collection of treasured moments that made this story tantalising and sweet. Mary Billiter captured the essence of each character perfectly and portrayed real and honest charscters that were easy to relate to and easier to love.

I was not ready for the end when I reached it. I could read about them for a week and would still want more. Hank amd Carmen were just a beautiful couple who dealt with real issues and had a blast dicovering one another. 5 stars for Rule Breakers.

Rule Breakers is the third book I have read in the Resort Romances series by Mary Billiter. I really like these books. The pace of them is good and the story is always interesting. All of the books can be read as standalones but the lead characters from each story pop up as minor characters in the other ones which adds to the familiarity for me. I really enjoy this aspect of it along with the smattering of Spanish language through it. As a linguist, I really appreciate the use of different languages in a novel.
The lead characters are well written and easy to identify with. Carmen is a daughter of an immigrant who is working a hotel valet job while paying for herself to get her college degree. She meets the gorgeous but mysterious Hunter and is intrigued by him. When tragedy strikes she meets Hunter’s brother Hank and her world is changed forever.
Rule breakers was entertaining and romantic, but it also touched on the subject of grief and how people deal with and recover from it. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this book and would definitely recommend it to other people who enjoy modern romance.

Rule Breakers (Resort Romance Book 3)
By Mary Billiter
5 Stars

This was not my first time reading Mary Billiter. And as before I was impressed and awed by her storytelling abilities. Ms. Billiter has the ability to whisk the reader away to the book destination and make you feel like part of the story.

This lovely 3rd book in the Resort Romance series centers around Carmen Gonzalez and Hank Hughes. Carmen is a valet at the Waterfront Point Hotel but she is also going to school for computer science. To say Carmen knows her way around a computer is putting it lightly. Hank Hughes is dealing with family issues and doesn’t have time for romance. When these two meet the awareness is there but it’s not instant romance. Being able to follow Carmen and Hank on their journey was both delightful and entertaining.

Mary Billiter is an amazing writer. She engages the reader so well that you feel a part of the story. From the back story to the plotline Ms. Billiter keeps the story flowing so the reader never loses interest. If you’ve never read Mary Billiter you are truly losing out. Pick up this book today and you won’t be able to put it down until the end.
