I haven't played backgammon in decades, so I wanted a refresher course. I have no plans on becoming a professional genius at it, so I only read the first half of the book. After that it started getting into strategies, theories, and calculating changes and percentages. Even with the added in humor of the author, which I did appreciate, I had enough to get me started on playing the occasional casual game with friends.
