I received this book in exchange for an honest unbiased review.
This book is what I would call a filler. It fills in the gaps that are happening with our dragons and the council. We know the council has it so bad for the dragons in Stratham because they are hybrids however we don't really know why aside from the fact that they're all hybrids. Yes in history, most people don't like different but the way that the council is going after these dragons it seems as though it is more personal than anything else.
This book exposes one of the reasons aside from the fact that they are are all hybrids. In book 1 Aris we meet Aris who is the king of the hybrid dragons. We learned that he is on the run with a couple of his adopted family and the reader thinks just like all of the characters it is because they are hybrids that they are being hunted. However in this book we learn that Aris is being hunted because his uncle is not too happy about the hybrid dragons and what it means for his reign.
Evander has been held captive the his entire life and he plays a significant role within the Stratham Dragon Clan. Even though Evander plays a significant part with in the fight between the two factions he just seemed kind of entitled. I do understand that he has been held captive for most of if not his entire life however he could not fathom why Aris and his gang did not trust him. He kept thinking that they are not being nice to me, they hate me, I don't understand why they don't trust me, I didn't do anything when in actuality he was sent there to kill Aris. I just felt like he wanted too much when he refused to tell anybody his story. It was not until Aris find him and explains what the issue is did he feel as though he was finally accepted.
The way that this story ended it did seem as though a little more information needed to be given however I have read all of the books in the series so far and all of these books end the same way. It sets up for the next book and the continuation of the fight between the Stratham dragons and the council.

18% of the book rest bounce...

Some reviewer said that this ended in a cliffhanger... That is true it ended in a cliffhanger in "plot" NOT HEA... meaning like books 1-3 at the end of this book the evil dragon Council is still after them... But the H and h have found their forever love...
I loved this book but one thing I had a problem with.. ( yes I know this is how these books are written) is the sexual content.. it's on the soft side of 50 shade of gray... At one time the author wrote "only time he handled her roughly was during sex.."(if you like it like that more power to you.. ) to me that is the time to show how much you love someone... Not power them are control them... Sex is the most loving thing in the world.... You should feel loved and cherished beyond belief.... And know beyond a shadow of dought that the "person" laying by you loves you and would never hurt you.. now understand one night stands... But still that should be a experience of pure ecstasy... Don't get me wrong I understand that some like it rough. Hell I like a smack on the a$$... But some of these authors wow just go over board.. but not this author...even with this I enjoyed this book like I have the rest of this series.... because of this I recommend this book to readers over 18...
Callie and Evander make a cute couple.. Callie takes to the mate idea faster than the others... She knows that magic is real and because of this she is more understanding of what is expected of her... Looking forward to reading the next book...

I received an ARC edition of this book from the author.
I think this is my favorite book in the series. I really liked the heroine (most in this series have been meh or I hated) and the hero worked really well for me. Callie worked for me, she certainly had her issues but she was actually dealing with them rather than just running away. Evander was a really good counter-balance for Callie, he had his own troubled past but it does not keep him from exploring his future.
*I highly recommend you read the previous books in this series to get the most out of this book.
**My edition did not include any bonus stories.

As usual, another fabulous book from Sarah J. Stone you don't want to miss!! Living most of your life locked up, being told so many stories which you find out are lies, then released on conditions that are evil and wrong. Finding your true mate after years of torture and never being loved or having family. To top it off, finding out you are a part of something more that you didn't even know existed - a family! Love, hot lovemaking scenes, family, friendship, destiny, excitement, and paranormal creatures. I am ready for book 5 Sarah!!!

Good storyline
This series is slowly developing into a reasonably good fantasy fiction, the writing is becoming more relaxed and flows better. Evander is another addition to the growing family and proves to be Aris's brother he also brings along his mate Callie. The Council is sending more to kill them and they have to battle when Callie is kidnapped they win that but the Council is not going to give up. The scene is definately being set for a confrontation with the Council at some point we will see what transpires in the next installment.

Eva ser is book four in the series Stratham Shifters by author Sarah J. Stone. Well surprise, surprise!! Betcha didn’t see that one coming. Anywho, this tale of dragons and other magical creatures is the perfect fit to continue with these gentle giants. Ok so maybe only to their mate they are gentle- everyone else take a step back- ok try a couple miles!!
Evander, is a tortured soul- will he discover a way to heal?? And will the others trust him??

Evander and Callie's story is full of love, hate, demons and family . It brings another huge piece of the Stratham Dragons story to the forefront. And leaves us with a cliffhanger !! So I can't wait to read book 5 of the series !! 4⭐'s . I received a gifted copy of the book and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review. Please read these stories in order, while each pair have their own love story, the whole Tribe's story continues throughout each book .

Lots of stories

A Life full of pain..
This story line centers around the lead, Evander.
His life has been very difficult but things look up aget he meets Callie.
Overall, a well written book filled with trials, strenght, and hope.
Connor Brown did well with the narration.

I love this series of books
Sarah J. Stone writes a great series of hot, sexy, steamy love story about finding your true mate. This was the fourth book I read that she had written & I can't wait to read more of her books.

I really don't like cliffhangers, and I need to know what happened to these characters. You just can't write this good a story and leave the readers hanging. :0) (I voluntarily reviewed this free ebook).

dragons.. dragons.. dragons.. i love dragons.. lol.. this was really good.. the characters were fun and interesting.. the plot keeps going and gets better with each book. i am glad i got to review it

Four stars!!
Like the other stories in this series, I like the concept of dual dragons. Also, the family that keeps growing. However, also like the other stories, I feel that the story and characters could have more depth.

love this series. Evander is a dragon that has been in prison his whole life by the king because he isn't pure. he has two dragons and one is female waiting for him to find his mate. great series.

Evander's story goes from desolate to elated with some worry thrown in. This is my first book in the Stratham Dragon series. Going back to book 1 now, not later, and reading them all!
