Sometimes you just connect with an author. You think you are able to see what they are aiming for in their work. Sawyer Bennett has been an author who has traveled many roads... but on each journey, at its core, it was always Romance with a Capital R.

She has written a series with a Legal theme, others with Sports. She has done contemporary romance with the hook of Sustainable Farming and she has never shied away from Sexy Times in all of them.

Bennett has also branched out into the more sexual/erotic stories with her Wicked Horse Series. With these series, she approached stories that centered around a sex club... was more than Vanilla Play would take place. Make no mistake, these books brought those who had more adventurous ideas than some to the forefront...But what was so true to Sawyer Bennett was the realistic way she would do this. And through it all, the entire theme of every book was the need and fulfillment of the romantic calling between the main couple.

Take away the environment, the outside players, and to each story's core... was the Romance. Period.

I am highlighting this because Sawyer Bennett discusses this in her forward of this entry. She gives her thoughts/desires to the readers and when an author takes the time to do so... it is a gift.

Wicked Wish is a tale about two people who never would have acted on dormant feelings they had for each other if it weren't for a combination of circumstances coming together.

Jorinda Pearce is a woman who thought her life had been planned out and she was living it. Was it everything she thought it would be... maybe not...But it was solid. She married a man she loved, had a home, a career and she always tried to do the "right" thing.

Well, the husband she loved wasn't all that satisfied with his life... and proceeded to tell Jorinda the fault for his dissatisfaction was on her... He said she was sh!t in bed. He also manipulated her out of her home she had with him, too.

Jorinda left Los Angeles, went back to Henderson, Nevada, and moves in with her bestie Elena. After a few weeks, Elena decides she has had enough of Jorie's moping about. Walsh Brooks is one of those men... you know the type. He oozes sexuality and women are drawn to him. His body is cut but not artificial...he has longish hair but not stylized. He has piercing eyes and when he looks at you, it can seem like he is looking into your soul.

Walsh is a mega-millionaire. He owns real estate and a casino/hotel in Vegas. He is set. What he does not want or need is a relationship. He has no trouble taking care of his needs; that is what the Wicked Horse is for. It is the perfect place for him as he likes his sex rough and all the players are on board with whatever is offered.

It is the masquerade night and Elena has made up Jorie in such an intriguing way... using feathers all along her hairline and face... only leaving her eyes and mouth uncovered. Her eyes were done with smoky shadows making her green eyes pop. Couple this look with a tight strapless dress with long legs and she was a knockout.

Both women get stares right away when they settled into the club and before anything really starts, Jorie's attention was pulled to a man with a hood covering his head as he walked through the bar area.

His body moved with ease and command.
He didn't look about... no, he was focused on a destination...
A room with a wall of glass where there was a contraption of sorts...
This man then beckoned any comers to come and play with him...

Jorie couldn't breathe... but knew this was the answer to her questions about who she was... Was she really not able to satisfy a man like her ex had said... This Hooded Man... if she could satisfy him then maybe she would know the truth about herself...

Naturally, this story takes off with the coupling of these two and it is not Vanilla at all...But it is something both participants know was the best experience either of them has had in their lives...
What happens next throws both of them into turmoil...

After this sexual explosion, Walsh figures out who this woman is and this is a huge complication...
When Jorie is confronted and Walsh is revealed, she agrees... this is a huge complication.

Sawyer Bennett takes a troupe we have all read... forbidden love and couples it with a woman in need to find herself. She needs to figure out exactly who she is and what she wants out of life. She is confronted with the challenge of letting go of a past and be willing to take a future more to her liking.

Walsh has a huge quandary. He has to decide what he will choose... a friendship that means the world to him or a love which was something he never knew he could have...

These both have their paths to navigate... and they are not easy... many emotional landmines. But in the end...they come through their journeys... intact and together.

So as you can see, these Wicked Horse stories are full-blown Romances... but with some extremely hot and steamy scenes... which always drive the story forward...Win-Win.

Let me start by saying that this is a VERY wicked book indeed. Jorie and Walsh are explosive together. I'm STILL feeling the heat days later. Seriously, folks.

The plot was interesting. I'm a big fan of brother's best friend and this hits all the good buttons. The writing, pacing, and imagery was very solid. The intimacy in very erotic scenes was perfect. The characters were unique and interesting and developed in a natural way. The conflict was used effectively even though they could've avoided a lot with a good talk.

This book is also not safe. It shattered my comfort level in several ways. The heroine was married when she started sleeping with the hero. For the record, her spouse kicked her out and was seeing other people, too. There is also an event involving the heroine's brother that was just plain wrong. Ms.Bennett is so darn good at her craft that despite my safety concerns, I throughly enjoyed myself.

Some books make you happy sigh all over yourself and leave you with a giant smile on your face even after you're finished reading. And then there are the books that make you squirm in your seat and leave you ready to jump the closest person to you. Wicked Wish was definitely in the latter category.

In all honesty there wasn't a whole lot of story between Jorie and Walsh, and their relationship was kept pretty basic. But I actually really liked that about these characters because it gave more room for the intimacy. I loved the chemistry that was sizzling between these characters and it was a nice twist on a brothers-best-friend romance mixed with an erotic tale.

I could be wrong but this book seemed to have a lot more dealings with the Club and it's members and I really loved that about it. Not only did Jorie and Walsh finally get together there but they had some of their biggest moments there too and it amazing to see how open and intimate they were together in that setting. And with the added forbidden aspect of the their relationship, there was no way I wouldn't like them.

Overall, I really liked this book and thought was an amazing addition to this series. Past characters aren't too focused on but we do get to see some of Jerico, which was nice. I would say that this series is a favorite Sawyer Bennett series of mine but honestly I just love all of her books so much that I can't pick a favorite.

And since when also this author writes underage sex-attraction???
He jerked off to the thoughts of her, when she was only 15. Hell no!
What’s wrong with the authors? Is it a kind of trend? WTF???

Plus over-pathetic female protagonist -> she pursued him and threw herself at him.
Female self-confidence and pride are not cool anymore?
Damn, she was embarrassing + dumb.
This man slept with a new woman 5 to 6 times a week, was a member of the sex club and she let him f*ck her without protection??? Even he asked her if she wasn’t aware of STDs, and this dumb piece of human cell said, that she believed he wouldn’t hurt her ever. WTF? STDs, woman! STDs!!! Never heard about it? Use the freaking google!

And she was technically married. Separated, but still freaking married!

And the male protagonist not only f*cked every hot woman in the sex-club, but also many outside of it. And he had a threesome with h’s brother. And he sent h’s brother photo of h’s p*ssy (before he knew who she was, but nevertheless).

When Jorie's husband tells her that she is a bad lay it does a number on her self esteem. What's more, he tells her to move out of their house. Jorie is deeply wounded and moves back to her native Nevada and in with her best friend Elena. Of course, Elena is offended on behalf of her main squeeze so she convinces Jorie to visit Vegas' hottest and most exclusive sex club, The Wicked Horse.

It's a masquerade night and that suits Jorie just fine. She is up for adventure and soon she is engaged in the most delicious depravity with a masked stranger.

When he sees the woman with the feathered mask Walsh knows he has found his flavor of the evening. She has been chosen to be the guinea pig for a sex toy he had custom-made by his best friend. Soon he realizes that the woman he picked is said best friend's sister. At first he is furious - the girl he always treated like a little sister in a sex club? But soon he finds that she stirs some not so sister-like feelings in him.

I feel like I’ve marked Jorie in some way, and I’m afraid that means I’m not kicking her out of my bed anytime soon. - Walsh

When we meet Walsh he is this arrogant, self-assured, often times high-handed alpha male who can pick any woman he wants. He is a beast in the sack and gets his kicks at the club to satisfy his sexual needs which are on the kinky side of the spectrum. He doesn't care about the name of his respective partner - impersonal is just fine with him. He fucks and he leaves.
It is fascinating to see how the girl he helped raise, brings him to his knees. He fights her because her brother Micah would blow a gasket if he knew that Walsh sleeps with Jorie but eventually he can't deny her and himself their sizzling chemistry and they start a clandestine no-strings relationship. That doesn't mean that the struggle stops though - Walsh is has his own version of code of honor and he hates the lies that come with their secret.

Keeping it hidden from Micah won’t make it exciting, though. It’s dangerous and a serious blow to the loyalty and trust he has in me. - Walsh

His feelings for Jorie grow and the more time they spend the more essential she becomes to his happiness. I loved how soft and sweet yet still bossy he was with this woman.

Jorie has been deeply hurt by her husband, she struggles tremendously with the insecurities that come from such a low blow. Walsh gives her the self esteem back and she learns a lot about herself, layers she didn't know she had. Jorie is a feisty heroine with a sweet core who grows a major backbone over the course of the story.

I’m talking about the fact that he made me feel gorgeous and revered. I felt sexy as hell with him, and I don’t remember feeling that way for a very long time. He peeled back a layer of my metaphorical sexual onion. - Jorie

I loved how deeply these two cared for each other. Both of their feelings were based on years of friendship and a special bond, that only shared secrets can form. When push came to shove though Walsh had to choose his loyalty and at first I was really annoyed with him - but Sawyer Bennett has made Jorie the most important person of this story and she showed me Jorie's growth. Jorie didn't choose the easy path, she took her time to choose the right path for her. I really loved that aspect. Plus, Walsh did a really good grovel.




This installment had a bit more angst than what I'm used to from Sawyer Bennett, but I enjoyed it just as much as her other books in the Wicked Horse series. I love the best friend's sister trope so this one really made me happy. Again we get a deliciously dirty story with lovable characters who show us that it's perfectly OK to live your wildest fantasies in a safe environment. Yes, it's depraved but it's oooh soooo good, exciting and sexy. I hope Elena and Micah get their own story (not necessarily together) but first we get Wicked Envy!


Wicked Wish is the second installment in The Wicked Horse Las Vegas series and can be read as a standalone.

Ok… so my love for Sawyer Bennett continues as I’ve just finished Wicked Wish, which is book 2 of The Wicked Horse Vegas series and she has done it again. Sawyer Bennett is such an auto read author for me now; I absolutely love her writing, imagination and captivating storylines that have the ability to pull me in from the start. I really love the fact that she never shies away from delving into a hot, steamy and erotic plot.

Jorie Pearce has not had the easiest times of late and as a self-proclaimed wallflower, has never really fought for anything in her life. Her husband has recently thrown her out of their home in California because she lacks somewhat in the bedroom and he wants someone who is not so “dull in bed.” This recent heartbreak leaves Jorie with no other option, but to move back to her hometown in Nevada and move in with her lifelong best friend, Elena.

Sick and tired of being boring and undesirable, Jorie is looking to step out of her comfort zone to feel intense passion and lust for the first time in her life. Elena convinces her to attend The Wicked Horse Vegas masquerade event and even though she is somewhat apprehensive about going to the notorious sex club at first, the more she thinks about it, the more excited she becomes. It’s a masquerade and therefore anonymous. No one will know who she is, right?

Walsh Brooks has his pick of the ladies within the walls of The Wicked Horse Vegas. He’s arrogant, cocky and an overly confident alpha that makes no apologies for loving sex and fulfilling his needs within the club.

During the masquerade he sees a feathered beauty that peaks his interest and when he wants to test out a custom made sex toy engineered by his best friend Micah, he knows exactly which little feathered bird he wants to ride it with for the first time.

“The masked man is staring at me, his index finger pointed in my direction. He nods, turns his hand, and then crooks his finger, beckoning me in there.”

It soon becomes apparent to Walsh that he knows who this feathered beauty is and knows her well. He is life-long best friends with her brother Micah and has watched her grow up, including babysitting her.

Walsh is disgusted with himself for having the best sexual experience of his life with someone who is completely off limits, knowing Micah will kill Walsh once he finds out. Will the reward be worth the risk?

Jorie was hurt by her husband and suffers from insecurities about whether she is good enough as a result. Walsh helps her to regain some confidence back and she finds a sexy and sassy woman who is so much more than her husband ever saw her for.

The sexual tension, passion, desire and chemistry between Jorie and Walsh was captivating. The way they both cared about each other, which was built around years of friendship and a connection nothing can break, was truly inspiring. Obviously with all great forbidden love stories, it isn’t an easy road, but Sawyer Bennett has such a talent for doing each character justice that I just couldn’t help but fall in love with both of them.

If you enjoy your forbidden brothers best friends trope and want your next read to be so scorching hot that it sets your smoke alarms off, then check this one out. Sawyer Bennett is a definite one click author for me and I thank her for taking me on yet another ride within The Wicked Horse Vegas club.

Even though she was a bit broken and insecure, Jorie is brave and strong and quickly realizes that Walsh is just the guy who’ll help her get over her fears and won’t let him push her away because of a silly snag, A.K.A. her brother. It was absolutely amusing to see how she wrapped the “never going to settle down because domesticity isn’t for me” man around her finger. And in Walsh’s case, it’s true what they say about the bigger manwhore falling the hardest.

I’m a total fan of Sawyer Bennett, whatever she writes I’ll read, whether it’s be tear jerking romances or wickedly sinful stories like this one because they all have a very important ingredient that makes me fall every time: heart.

Wicked Wish is the second book in the Wicked Horse Vegas series by Sawyer Bennett. It is a standalone, full-length, erotic romance with sweltering hot scenes that accompany a lovely and emotional romance. Told from both points of view, with a happy ending.

You know during my bad day at work, I stumble listening tot his audio book. And I can not helo wonder. Isn't it nice if you can have a man who is rich and have super appetite on sex? He also seems to have all the time in the world just dotting on me? I also can not help wonder how such a man can have all the time in the world while building his empire? Yes I know romance book is just a fantasy. A fantasy that is super nice to be escaped to. A fictional world.

In that bad day moment, this book is that fantasy for me. The story is nothing new. Forbidden romance between the Walsh and his best friend's sister. They embark on BDSM adventure. Although the BDSM is only heavy on the beginning then soften toward the end. But I do feel entertain with this book. My bad day seems to be OK day. I can escape my mind from all the mess in my life which is never ending.

Wicked Wish is a slightly dirty, erotic romance but this book is beyond that. It emphasized the importance of love and how far one is willing to go. Also, another big theme that can be found in this book is the importance of self-discovery. So if you are looking for a book that masterfully weaves sexy writing and a passionate romance then I highly recommend you to read this book as Sawyer Bennett does fulfill your wicked wishes in this book.

Erotic, intense, sexy, and oh so wicked, WICKED WISH by Sawyer Bennett was an all around INCREDIBLE ROMANCE! This series HAS IT ALL, and then some! But I'm not surprised because Sawyer Bennett always brings her A-Game! In this second installment of the Wicked Horse Vegas series, we get ALL THE FEELS, ALL THE EROTICISM, and ALL THE BOLDNESS that comes standard in a Sawyer Bennett Romance. This was so incredible intoxicating that I just knew once I opened to the first page, there was NO turning back! 

I've been reading quite a bit of the whole 'best friend's little sister' forbidden romance trope, and it has become a favorite of mine, because the characters have so many obstacles to overcome to be together, but there was something about Jorie and Walsh's story that had me SWOONING more than normal. These two were so magnetic from the very start. Of course there was a push/pull dynamic, a forbidden dynamic, but it came with an undeniable chemistry that pulled me in with every turn of the page. 

If you are looking for a passionate read full of a little dirty, a little sweet, and a whole lot of sensuality, WICKED WISH is the one for you. If you are looking for an erotic read that touches on subjects like self-discovery and fantasy fulfillment, WICKED WISH is DEFINITELY the one for you. Trust me when I say, you are in DAMN GOOD hands with a Sawyer Bennett romance.

WICKED WISH (The Wicked Horse Vegas, #2) by Sawyer Bennett is a brother’s-best-friend contemporary erotic romance which is a little light on romantic plot, but heavy on sexual interaction and content. Ms. Bennett pushes me outside of my comfort zone and yet I am always pulled into her stories from the start.

Jorinda “Jori” Pearce is thrown out of her home and told by her husband that she is lacking in the bedroom. Jori returns to her hometown and her best friend, Elena to lick her wounds and re-evaluate her life. Elena and Jori decide a trip to The Wicked Horse for their masquerade night is just what Jori needs.

Walsh Brooks has it all. He owns a profitable casino, he is gorgeous and has his pick of any woman he wants. During the masquerade, Walsh sees a beauty with a feathered headdress that he wants to ride on a new machine in the club designed by his best friend, Micah. The experience is more than either could hope for until Walsh sees two scars on his feathered mystery woman.

Walsh is having the experience of his life with his best friend’s little sister. Though both have years of shared experiences, sex has always been considered off limits. Their secret relationship can only end in heartbreak or can it be more?

The writing and pacing are well done. This story does have explicit sex scenes which will make you squirm in your seat, especially the scenes with the mechanical machine in the club. I loved Walsh, but I felt Jori had little to no backbone. I prefer my heroines to stand up for themselves far more than happened in this story.

A hot button issue for some will be the fact that Jori is still married and not to the hero, even though her husband threw her out of their home. I do not mind that she was not divorced, HE THREW HER OUT, but I do wish she would not have made some of the relationship decisions she did with her ex.

Omg this book was hot from the very start and I luv it. This series is just brilliant so far. I know there is only 2 books so far but I swear it's great.



Jorie's life as basic turn to shit. Her confidence in on the floor she has been kicked out of her house thanx to her husband. So ye life is pretty shitty. Until she goes to The Wicked Horse with her friend. It's not her scene but after what as happen there nothing to lose and she could do with loosening up a lil. She just didn't think she would be loosening up with her childhood crush.



Walsh is just sexy as hell. He has everything goin from him he as his own casino and has woman throwing themselves at him. He goes to The Wicked Horse to wind down and just have fun with someone with the hassle of being in a relationship. He doesn't need it he been there and done that and just doesn't work for him. Until on nite he picks out a gorgeous girl he had a mad crazy hot session with he just didn't know she was the woman how took up so his thoughts years and years ago.



Like I said this book was really hot basically from start to finish. Walsh on his own his hot but put him with Jorie and thing just electrify. There so passionate together and the relationship starts to get strong but there is thing that gets in there way and it could year them apart before things even get started.



I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. The story was great and I really liked the characters. I m a big fan of this author and I luv how good this book and series are. You can't help to want more. I m really hoping that the other characters in this story get a book there is so much to know about Micah and Elena I already know they like the kinky of The Wicked Horse so I know if they had a book it would be great. I m really looking forward to see where this series take us next with Wicked Envy.

Holy Hotness!! Sawyer Bennett knows how to do erotica folks! This series is smoking hot, but also has fantastic storylines.



I'm extremely impressed and can't wait for more stories in this series.

Wicked Wish is a sexy take on the brother's best friend trope. Walsh and Jorie have a known each other for many years. Walsh and her brother Micah are closer than best friends and consider themselves brothers. Because of that fact, Micah is firmly against his best friend and baby sister dating, but the chemistry between Jorie and Walsh is undeniable.

What I Loved: The trope and storyline are fantastic. I love the element of forbidden and secret romances. It always feels a little naughty. Jorie and Walsh take that to another level since they aren't even aware they're having sex until after the fact!! Want to know how that happens? READ THE BOOK! LOL

The characters are fantastic. I adore both main characters. Although Jorie is self-deprecating and unsure of herself she grows a lot over the course of the novel. Her confidence grows and she becomes more and more assertive. Walsh doesn't lack and self-assurance. He's cocky, confident, and larger than life. He's the perfect alpha-male for our heroine. These two know how to play one another and it was a real treat watching them come together. So much fun and off the charts hot.

The writing is great. You can't go wrong with a book in this series. If you're looking for erotica with a great plot and story, look no farther. This is the book for you. I recommend it.

Wicked Wish was the second book in Sawyer Bennett’s Wicked Horse Vegas series.

Walsh Brooks was the sexy and wealthy casino owner who frequented the Wicked Horse sex club weekly. He was totally an alpha and loved variety, kink and emotionless sex.

Jorie Pearce was recently separated after an eight year marriage where her husband demeaned her and made her feel their sex woes were all her fault. She set out to the Wicked Horse on masquerade night to venture out past her comfort zone and test the waters.

The moment Walsh and Jorie made eye contact, it was sizzling and there was no turning back. However, once the best sex of their lives occurred and the masks were off, Walsh realized it was his best friend, Micah’s, younger sister, who was totally off limits. He helped raise her and nothing could go further.

Bennett took us through the gravity pulling chemistry, the trials of a taboo relationship and a past resurfacing. It was steamy and full of drama as well as well written, interesting and entertaining. But it also had a few editing errors scattered throughout that couldn’t be overlooked.

In the end, it was a fun and sexy book. Micah, Jorie’s brother, and Elena, Jorie’s best friend, were highly entertaining support characters and prevalent to the storyline. I’d love to see them both get their stories as well. In the meantime, Wicked Envy is next up!

Blazing stars, is this HOT!

I think I may have mentioned the scorching heat that was Wicked Favor, the first book in this spin-off series. There was no shade at all in Jerico and Trista’s story as it seemed to set the definition of hot and carnal. And along comes this tale of desire and emotion that is going to set the bar for sizzling burn even higher…

This story is so…. Is so… WICKED! A word that describes this series, this story, to perfection. Jorie’s brother and Walsh have been best friends since they were kids so there is a lot of history between all three. When Jorie and Walsh find themselves looking at each other in an entirely new way, well, things are going to get confusing, fast…

“Jorie’s right… I do find the whole forbidden little sister angle dirty and taboo.”

And did I mention how these two met (again) had my kindle on overheat? No, I won’t forget that scene any time soon…

“Not desire. Not passion. Need.”

Things are complicated. They agree on what their relationship is but then they both struggle with what that really means. They worry. They stress. But through it all, they keep coming back to the basic truth – they can’t, and won’t, stay away from each other. This story is sexy but it goes beyond that. The emotion that drives it amps the sexy to a new WICKED level that has to be read to be appreciated.

And, in all the angst and back and forth, they are good together. They care about each other. They laugh together. And Walsh, when he is at his funniest, sexiest best? Well, that inspires Jorie to understand her own sexuality even more…

I got completely lost in this story and would recommend anyone do the same because… Everyone should have some WICKED in their life!

And I liked the whole past connection between all characters. They've all known each other their whole lives.

Great second book in this Vegas series!
Can't wait to see who will tell us their story in the next book!!!

Maybe I’m getting too old for this series…or maybe it was just too much sexcapades and not enough story. Or maybe I just didn’t connect with the characters. There were a couple of passages that made me laugh (but I’m sure that wasn’t the intention) and some that made me cringe (wouldn’t that hurt?). But I kept reading, determined to see how this would all shake out.

Jorie and Walsh (there’s a couple of unusual names) have known each other since childhood. He’s 8 years older than her and her brother Micah is his best friend. Walsh has always been like a big brother to her but she secretly crushed on him and he had a few impure thoughts about her too. When Jorie’s marriage was on the rocks (her husband kicked her out for being lousy in bed) she went to stay with her best friend Elena in Las Vegas (where Walsh also lives). Elena takes her to a sex club (where Walsh is a member) and Jorie is determined to find her inner sex kitten. It’s masquerade night at the club—everyone is wearing masks—and Jorie catches the eye of a hunk in a hood. Yada yada they have sex on a sex contraption! and omg when the hunk exposes her breasts during….he recognizes her! Omg it can’t be Micah’s little sister Jorie! And Jorie just had the best sex of her life with…Walsh?! What are the odds…


Well I won’t go much further except to say these two can’t keep their hands and other parts off each other. They are insatiable. But this is soooo wrong. They’re almost like brother and sister. And if Micah (who just so happened to build that sex apparatus—but that’s another cringe moment!) ever found out…So many things are wrong with this coupling…but these two are perfect for each other…until it all blows up.

If this sounds like it’s up your alley, enjoy. For me, a little goes a long way. I liked the original series (now I can’t remember the name) and this is the same premise but in a different town (Vegas). It started out promising, but I guess a couple of actions disappointed me near the end (one by Walsh and also one by Jorie…no spoilers). These two belong together though because they are both a couple of dirty, sexy exhibitionists!

Jorinda Pearce has just split up with her husband so she heads to Vegas to stay with her BFF who talks Jorinda into going to the Wicked horse sex club with her for some fun and that's exactly what she needs right now to prove to her ex husband that she's not a failure in the bedroom. Tonight at the Wicked horse it's mask night and casino owner Walsh Brooks can't wait to try out the new sex machine his BFF has designed for him on a hot woman tonight, only when he's deep inside this mysterious, masked woman he realizes that this woman is not only his BFF's little sister but that he's known her all his life. I found this book a little disappointing compared to the first book, unfortunately the story line was very predictable and pretty corny in some places and I just felt sorry for Walsh, he started off being alpha and turned clueless. Jorinda was so annoying with her needy and pushy behavior she actually turned into a stalker who had two men dancing for her attentions and using them both to see who could give her the most. Aside from that the sex very hot.

This book is HOT AF!!!

I really like this series! Completely sexy and wicked is the best way to describe this one. Jorie & Walsh’s story is complicated and maybe a little taboo but nevertheless a very entertaining read.

There is some stuff in this story that might be uncomfortable for some people. I would say cheating BUT it isn’t really cheating since there was something agreed upon prior to. It is the FRIENDS show “We were on a break!!!” type situation and both parties were partaking.

Some things did not happen through the course of this story as I thought would, however, that led to a more intriguing, stimulating and quite believable story. I have said it before and will say it a million more times. I love Sawyer Bennett, and I love her stories. Her worlds vary, the characters are different and three-dimensional, and the steam varies to meet the tone of the story and the type of characters of each novel. What made me fall in love with this author a little bit more, though, is the opening commentary by the author, voicing her stance on writing and reading erotica. I love it and her, and it makes me incredibly proud to be a lover of this erotica series.

As with every Wicked Horse book, the instant chemistry and fulfillment of desires happens pretty quickly (you shouldn't be surprised as it is a series revolving around a sex club), and Wicked Wish starts off in a similar fashion. The fun begins when Jorie and Walsh realize who is behind the masks, beginning the forbidden best friend's little sister trope.

While the basic plot line of this novel does follow the expected trope, there are several aspects of the story that make it different. First, Jorie and Walsh have an established connection based on shared past experiences. She wasn't and isn't just the little annoying sister. There is more there before they accidentally and then on purpose come together. Second, Jorie is different then the standard heroine in these tropes. She is searching to find herself again, to gain back her self-esteem on her own terms, and to own her desires for sexual exploration without shame. Finally, once the inevitable and expected conflict occurs, readers find a stronger heroine who comes to the resolution of the story on her own terms.

One of the reasons I love this series so much is the theme of embracing your own sexual desires, whatever they may be. There is no judgment at the Wicked Horse. There is no judgment among the characters. Each couple and story contains its own kink and its own for of debauchery, and, yet, Sawyer Bennett writes about these scenes and the reactions in a completely normal way because it is. This is a place for safe exploration of desires and that alone is enticing and seductive.

If you haven't entered the erotic world of the Wicked Horse, you must. All standalones, readers can start wherever they would like, but know you won't ever want to leave because Sawyer Bennett delivers not only erotic scenes in and outside of the walls of the Wicked Horse but she also gives real romance and storylines to go with it, meeting the needs of all romance lovers.

I want to talk about the foreward in the book. If you haven't read it, go back and read it...I definitely recommend it. And, I loved it. Going into the book, which is definitely erotic romance, with the author's take on how people who read the genre are viewed, well it was wonderful.

That said, this is definitely erotic. There were a couple of things in this that gave me pause. And, while all of it was interesting, there are definitely some things mentioned that are more than I would be willing to do. But, that is the point, I think, of reading. To live in someone else's life for a bit, to experience things (like Vegas sex clubs) that you would not normally do in real life.

Jorie and Walsh grew up together. Or, more accurately, as she is 8 years younger than he is, Walsh watched her grow up. Then she moved away, got married, and he has not seen her in years, although as her brother is his best friend, he has heard about her.

They meet anonymously, and their attraction is off the charts, even though he feels that they can't date because of his relationship with her brother. But, that attraction is just too much for them to resist, and really, Walsh doesn't try all that hard because he has never felt about any woman the way he does about Jorie, and really, when that happens, it is tough to fight.

I loved their story arc, from initial anonymous sex club meeting to happily ever after. I thought it was realistic and I believed it. I liked that it was not all of a sudden, that there was some push and pull, that there was some hesitation. That said, it does bring me to the part I did not like as much. Without spoilers, there is an unresolved thing in Jorie's past and while I agree it needed a resolution, I thought her past was brought a little too much into the present, and I thought it messed up the flow of the story.

There is a scene over a tv dinner that is priceless and charming, and it tells you all you need to know about exactly who they will be in the next few years. The epilogue, well, that is fun.

I definitely recommend this title.

I received a treat with this book, because the audio book released at the same time as the kindle version. I love having a story read to me, and with a long car ride ahead of me, I opted to listen to this one instead of reading it. And I’m glad I did, because it was amazing. The story itself, combined with the sexy voices and having it come alive around me, made it even better.

Jorie and Walsh were perfect together. Their history gave their attraction to each other a slightly older brother/little sister taboo edge, meeting at the sex club gave their interactions a naughty and kinky feel, and their romance was a hot and raunchy whirlwind against the high dollar backdrop of Las Vegas. It was the perfect mix of sex, love, kink and desperate longing.

I am a huge fan of the original Wicked Horse series, and this spin off series certainly does have a different feel than those original books. But what I enjoyed more about this one than the first book in this new series was that it moved outside the walls of the club. It explored Vegas, it touched on relationships outside of just those made though kinky sex at the Wicked Horse even more, and it introduced side characters that I adored. I would love to see Jorie’s best friend and brother get their own books because they were such great personalities on their own: the funny, loudmouthed, opinionated hairdresser and the smart engineer that developes sex toys in his spare time.

I don’t know what to say about this story other than it was terrific. I felt myself tearing up at their heartbreaks and cheering for them to get together. The book itself was great, and by listening to it as well, I felt immersed in the world of sex and glitz. I was a voyeur into Jorie and Walsh’s world, and based on their kink, I’m sure they’d like that.

Dirty, kinky, steamy, welcome back to The Wicked Horse Las Vegas. Well damn it was good to be back to the sex club. I always know that I'm going to have a good time with this erotic series. Low on the drama and filled with lots of steamy moments, falling in love is the cherry on the cake.

I didn't even read the blurb for this book because I would read anything by Sawyer Bennett. The first surprise came at 11% when I discovered who Jorie & Walsh were to each other. Ever sinçe that point I didn't put the book down. I was enthralled in the kind of connection these two share. It was evident they have deeper feelings than the casual sex they have.

Walsh is a delicious dirty talker used to a certain type of sexual encounter. Jorie is innocent but all willing to learn a few tricks. Certainly not shy and confident, she can take Walsh's needs perfectly. Them together was uncontrollable and when feeling are thrown in the mix, all bets are off.

I loved both characters, I enjoyed witnessing how they evolves together and how they respect each other no matter what they want. There relation is not easy, there both have issues, they both needs to know what's the next step.

I really hope this series will be a long one. I see potential with Elena, Micah and I don't forget about Kynan. Bring it on!

Why does it have to be over?!?!?!

Jorie and Walsh got me all in my feelings. God they were too fucking cute! And SEXY! Don't forget sexy!!!!!! Love, love and LOVED this forbidden romance!!! Like for real they were just too fucking adorable. Wicked Wish was everything, I need a baby novella or something!!!
I'll be honest and say the ending got on my nerves a little but it all came together in the end! My fingers are crossed that Elena and Micha get together.... #LetUsPray. I need some Micha! Okay well that's all I have to say, this was sexy, hot and cute. Read it!

The flow was great I instantly loved the characters. I was hooked from the start. I couldn't help but fall for them. I'll be doing a re read very soon!

Damn. I was really ready to write a good review until the last hour of the book. 😑
I’m trying to figure out how to explain things….I thought I was going to get a fun story, but there turned out to be some complicated issues. Ugh. There are some TRIGGERS below that will be REALLY important to some of you.

Walsh (divorced from a woman he didn’t really love) is all about getting his freak on. No better place to do that than the Wicked Horse sex club. It’s masquerade night and he’s there for a night of debauchery! He’s definitely ready to try out the new sex contraption his BFF, Micah, invented. He finds a mystery woman who lights his world on fire!! They have a wild time on the sex machine and he’s banging her against the window when he realizes who he’s pounding……

Jorie (separated from her husband who said she sucked in bed) is out at a sex club trying to expand her sexuality after her husband kicked her out. She’s ready for an adventure and when a mystery man with a hot body beckons her to him, she goes willingly. It isn’t until they reach climax when she feels a shift in him. Turns out, the hot guy focking her is none other than her brother’s BFF, and also the same guy who kinda helped raise her. YIKES! 😬

It’s more complicated than this, but to summarize: Micah’s dad was a douche and left after his sister Jorie was born. Micah’s BFF Walsh was always around to help take care of his little sister. Yada yada, Jorie had a crush on Walsh, and eventually he had a crush on her. Micah had warned Walsh off of being with Jorie, she left for college, they both ended up married to someone else and it’s been YEARS since they’ve seen each other.

Walsh tells Jorie he’ll never be with her and they can’t do this because of Micah, but Jorie ain’t no pushover and she’s like “f*ck that sh!t” and convinces Walsh to start a sexual relationship with her anyway. They easily fall into a romantic relationship instead of a sexual one. I actually loved them as a couple and I liked both of them as individuals (up until the last hour). I don’t usually like the secret relationship/forbidden BFF type of trope, but I liked this one because they started on the sex right away!!! Yay for me.

The rest of the story starts to go pretty much how you would expect it: secret is discovered, leaving for own good, realizing what a douche he is, fighting for woman he loves, etc. Then the author throws a big wrench into the story…… 😡 😡

Again, I’ll remind you, it isn’t until the last hour that the author f*cks my mind up and makes me want to hate her.

Now onto the trigger portion of this review.

CHEATING: Jorie is separated from her husband and they’re both seeing other people during this time. Personally, I don’t approve of it, but I accepted it for this book. But then, Jorie couldn’t make up her mind, and it pissed me off. So, Jorie does actually love her husband, but he’s hurt her and the love for her husband is no where near the level of love she has for Walsh. In the last hour of the book, after Walsh pushes her away and breaks her heart, Jorie decides that maybe she needs to give her husband another shot. She contemplates if she should really throw away a marriage for someone who hurt her. I got super pissed off. THAT SAID, I get that in real life, these are issues that people have. It’s not always as black/white as we think, so that’s why I didn’t automatically reduce this to 1 star.

AGE GAP: There is an 8-year age difference between them, and personally, I love a good age gap romance. That said, He admitted that when they were young, he had come to the house while she was sunbathing and saw her. She was 15 at the time and he was 23. He told her he masturbated while thinking about seeing her like that. He never acted on it and started staying away from her after he realized that he was sexually attracted to her. That doesn’t bother me. I think it’s hot. For some of you though, it’ll be a hard limit.

For me, I wish the last hour of the book had been cut. If it had, I would have given this 4 stars. The last hour of the book had me dropping this to 1 star. After contemplating things, I decided to give it 3. My feelings are as confused as Jorie’s.
