The third installment in Midika Crane's bestselling series "Alpha" A rebellion to take down the Alphas has begun… Lexia has been an unwilling member of the Vengeance Pack since she was kidnapped by Alpha Kaden at the age of thirteen. Previously a member of the Discipline Pack, she now plans an uprising to take down the Alphas and unify the 13 Packs.
But Fate has other plans for her. Lexia finds her mate in Alpha Grayson, from the Pack of Freedom; a man whose silver eyes leave Lexia without control over her carnal desires. But their romance becomes secondary when Cyprian, an evil source with magical powers, puts them both in grave danger on his mission to ignite a war.
Will Lexia and Grayson stand against Cyprian and prevent his schemes from coming to pass? Will they ever be able to consummate their newly-found love?
In a world where packs kidnap females from other packs and there seems to be little tolerance for any pack that is “different,” not everyone agrees with the Alpha system of dominance. Lexia’s pack life was stolen from her when she was kidnapped at a young age, and now the often bitter female is leading the charge to end the Alpha system with her compelling speeches and leadership abilities. But are those abilities truly hers or is she a puppet for another, unseen power?
The last thing she wants is an Alpha mate, but when Grayson claims her, a little voice within her head is determined to help her fight off the bond she wants no part of. There is more to Grayson than meets the eye, but there is also more to Lexia than even she knew as an Alpha long thought gone connects with her mind.
ALPHA GRAYSON is another chaotic ride from Midika Crane that holds its secrets close to the vest until the very end. I found her characters to be a bit out of the ordinary. Grayson is not your typical all-powerful alpha. Lexia, while seeing herself as a strong leader in her own right, fails to convince me she is anything but a woman with a bad attitude about life who seems to be easily manipulated when push comes to shove. While Midika Crane puts forth a valiant effort to create her world and press her plot, there are too many wrinkles in it for me to fully plug into this tale. I applaud this author’s talents, but this just isn't for me.
I received this copy from Inkitt and the author in exchange for my honest review. Although part of a series, which was not offered, I am told this can be read as a stand alone.
My Rating: 2.5 Stars Series: Alpha - Book 3 Publisher: Inkitt (June 11, 2017) Publication Date: June 11, 2017 Genre: Paranormal Romance Print Length: 212 pages Available from: Amazon For Reviews & More: http://tometender.blogspot.com
Alpha Grayson is the third installment to the Alpha series. Each book is a little bit unique in a boring way. With every alpha that we meet, we know that they either haven't found their mate yet or that their mate doesn't really know they exist. Well, until they actually do.
Whether you realize it or not, you will get to see Grayson with his mate Lexia. If you read the second book of this series, you would've already met her. She was an interesting character in the book before this. Seemed like a bad ass rebel in my opinion. Yet, she was kind of boring in this one. Yeah, she went out to look for her mate but then kind of went all gooey eyed once she knew who it was.
Don't even get me started on the lack of smutty romance in this one. I got like one scene and that's not okay. Besides all of that, I did like getting to meet all the other alphas - and seeing the ones from the first two books. Landon still seems like an asshole though.
Other than all of that, I have a feeling that each Alpha is somewhat cursed. Or they are all slightly from the same pack now - if that makes sense. I guess I'll find out in Jasper's book.. which should be interesting to see how Thea is going to play this. Here's to hoping that it wont involve a love triangle.
Two books in and I'm a fan. Alpha Kaden hooked me and Alpha Grayson sealed the deal. I was happy to see Lexia again and find out her fate. I kind of hoped for someone to reign her in a bit! Lexia and Grayson's relationship is not the typical and with his secret I wondered what would happen when she found out. By the end of this one I was ready to beg for the next book, this ending left me with questions and the fear that the worst is yet to come. This is my second book by the author and I'm becoming a huge fan, I can't wait to see what's next in the series. 4.5 stars
Alpha Series: Alpha Grayson by Midika Crane ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a truly enjoyable Fabulous Read. This story will have you totally enthralled. I admire and I am finding that I enjoy reading The Alpha Series written by Midika Crane. The stories are well developed and written which makes them easy to reads. What's not to like about these AWESOME stories, they are full of drama, intrigue and action. We get to know a few more of the characters from the Alpha Kaden story. But this is Lexia and Grayson story. Lexia was previously a member of the Discipline Pack, until she was kidnapped by Alpha Kaden at the age of thirteen and she has been unwilling member of the Vengeance Pack ever since. Grayson is gorgeous with silver eyes and he is the Alpha of the Freedom Pack and he has been waiting on his mate for a long time unfortunately he needs Lexia in more ways than one, but she doesn't know he is her mate. Even without knowing they are fated mates their chemistry is scorching Hot. There is something else that they are unaware of. The characters are exciting, engaging and everything you can want to fantasize about. I'm so excited and happy to have found another gifted and talented author to read. This story will have you so captivated that you will be on pins, needles on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens next, but you won't want the book to end. I couldn't stop myself from reading this story twice and I intend to read it again. l just couldn't stop reading this and I had a hard time putting my reader away. Midika Crane is becoming one of my favorite author. What will you get out of this series is a book that will weave together sexiness, double-dealing, and the world of were wolves that's Totally Worth Reading! THIS IS A MUST READ that I certainly recommend. I voluntarily reviewed this book, because I love sharing my thoughts with my fellow readers.
The world of alphas and magical beings has never been so complicated....this third in the series is purported to be a standalone but in truth, having not read the other stories, it took me some considerable time to work out the previous events which led up to and directly influenced this story about Lexia, a feisty and rebellious gifted female and Grayson an alpha pack leader with his own secret.....
The author writes well but I found reading this book a challenge..I had difficulty immersing myself in the imagined alternative world in which the characters interacted and I felt the characters themselves were shallow and lacking real personality...Lexia in particular was disappointing, she was identified as a rebel fighting the system but she never really seemed capable of invoking change alone and with very little persuasion succumbed to the very thing she was fighting...
The premise of the story is most definitely interesting and original but with frequent reflections and explanations of the characters and the magic influencing their lives.. the complexity of the history and lore tended to hinder the pace of the narrative....
I do love the paranormal genre but on this occasion I was not convinced by the characters or their responses to the events being played out... I am assuming that if I had read the first two books I would have felt more engaged with the ongoing saga but without prior insight I did struggle with this book and did not feel invested in the outcome for the key players....This book was reviewed for Summer's Eve Reads...
I downloaded this book via the Kindle Unlimited store as a set of three stories. I would recommend you start with Alpha Kaden's book first as it will enhance the reading of this one. However, it isn't essential. We learn vital information about Alpha Grayson in Kaden's book which is discovered later in this book.
Grayson knows who his mate is. That was the easy part. Convincing her, they are intended to be together isn't going to be easy.
Lexia has had a difficult life. Everything she was supposed to have was taken away from her. Now she is more careful of who she trusts. Alphas are not her favourite kind of shifters. She doesn't trust them, and this includes Grayson.
This book was okay. It still had a mystery and suspense element to it like Alpha Kaden's story, and there is obviously romance, but I didn't enjoy it as much. We meet Jasper in this book. Therefore, I guess it would be better to read this one before his story.
3 stars out of 5. This series was recommended to me via Inkitt.
This was one of the STUPIDEST books i have ever read. For a book about werewolves, there is a shocking LACK of werewolves. Sure, everyone in the book is a werewolf but not once does someone change on page. Not one time. How is that even possible? The writing was subpar at best. There was no real transitions between scenes, nothing was explained, and the entire plot was convenient. There was no build up for the main relationship. The MC meets a cute guy but doesnt like him at all, she doesnt realize that they are mates, someone tells her that her mate is the guy she doesnt really like and suddenly she is "so in love with him." Like come on. I can excuse a lot of instalove when it comes to urban fantasy but this was stupid. The pack systems didnt make any sense. Each pack is based on a different trait? Maybe? Ie. Vengeance pack, desire pack, love pack, purity pack, ect. This was never explained at all. In addition there is no real locations for anything in the book. Like it could take place anywhere or nowhere all at once. This book was really freaking dumb. 1/5 ☆ would not recommend
Grayson was an alpha, no doubt. He was not your typical alpha. He needed a not so typical mate to be just as alpha. I found that Lexia was good for him. She had some issues with staying consistent. I found Grayson sexy, strong, soothing. He was more and less. Lexia was the same. You would have to read this one to understand my dilemma. I have read each two other Alpha books from this series and I find with each one more in this world to enjoy. The plots twist and turns.
Another mate is found but no one is safe in these Alphas packs. Lexie is the mate to an alpha but problems involving the Phantom wolves cause problems for the packs. As they work together to end an enemy. This series is a very different look at pack life, mating and Alphas.
EROTICALLY FRUSTRATING AND IRRITABLY MALE-CHAUVINISTIC
That’s, by far, the strangest fantasy I have read for a while. It is a fantasy in a world that does not exist, a world of clannish packs, all headed by an Alpha dedicated to an abstract value. I have listed the alphas of Desire, Devotion, Love, Discipline, Vengeance, Power, Independence, Freedom, Purity, and I may have missed a few. The only godly creature is the Moon Goddess who is, in fact, a prisoner of the Moon and is a young girl more than anything else, an eternal young girl who would never age. She is named Millicent. Then you have a list of characters, some Alphas, some not. The most important ones are Cyprian, the instigator of a rebellion against the pack system, Fate who has his own agenda and wants the death of the Moon Goddess, Jasper and Grayson who are Phantom Wolves, in other words werewolves that are contained by a silver ring and that are the result of a curse cast on them in an old rivalry among the Alphas when Millicent, the Moon Goddess was also cursed to be locked up in the moon seen as a plain prison, which is true since the man in the moon has never been able to come down to earth, not even back with Armstrong. Note only one Alpha is a woman, Faye. This system is vastly male-dominated, hence phallocratic.
That’s the first characteristic of the novel. The main central character is Lexia, a woman, and yet she is nothing but instrumental in the various plots the Alphas are entertaining among themselves. It sounds like Washington DC in fantasy terms. The Alpha of the Senate, the Alpha of the House of Representatives, the Alpha of the White House, the Alpha of the State Department, the Alpha of the Supreme Court, the Alpha of the Pentagon, etc. All of them are embroiled in a war for dominance. Sick and sickening. Women are nothing but objects you grasp by the pussy, you grope by the backside, you harass, in one word, by all means and ends. That kind of male-dominated and male chauvinistic world is hateful, I mean full of hate and inciting witnesses – and readers – to be full of hate for anything you may think of.
The next characteristic is that this world is male-chauvinistic, a plain world of pigs that would be well inspired to turn into bacon so that we would get rid of them and eat what is edible in them: in these pigs most of it is discardable and maybe even plainly venomous or poisonous. The only objective of all the Alphas is to be united with their women they are supposed to love and they in fact only desire with lust and nothing else but lust. Women on the other hand only have one objective to be with their alphas and be their mates, submissive, subservient and subdued (with at least forty more words that could apply) "Lexia is nothing but a resolutely submissive woman." Sexual diversity is inexistent, not to mention gender diversity, meaning orientation diversity. Of course, there is no ethnic diversity. An all-white and all-straight and all-male-centered world. After a while, this becomes slightly boring. And, mind you, when there is a slight problem in such mating, the alphas can use magic that makes the females just plain be vegetative vegetables to be consumed anyway the male magician decides.
The last characteristic of this world is that it is managed by caprices, whims and whimsical little tyrants who want to control everything or destroy everything they cannot control. In other words, it is a world in which the upper class, extremely limited in number, that is controlling the mass of people regrouped in packs, some sort of castes, this upper class is the locale of constant strife and hostility, war and struggle from every single individual in order to take control and dominate the whole society, hence all the clans or packs. The only objective apart from this fascistic target is to take possession of the female mates they have chosen. That world is absolutely unreal and all the light sexy remarks in the novel culminate in the final love scene between Grayson and Lexia, Lexia saying “I want you” and Grayson taking her without even bothering to consider her acquiescence. She is nothing but hunter’s game and in a way a bedroom and bedsheets game, a sort of erotic monopoly. But do not panic, because you do not have to, since the culminating erotic scene is less than two pages, and what’s more quite tamed as for graphicness.
This is book three in a series, and I have not read the first two, so was a bit at a loss as to what was going on. It was not difficult to figure things out, though, and didn't take me all that long. I was drawn in to the story from the start, but found my mind wandering a few times as I read. Though this happened a few times, I still found myself drawn back in and enjoyed the story. I did notice that the first half of the story read better than the second half. The first half was full of detail and description, leading the reader up to the conflict. But as the book continued rising, the second half became very rushed and lacked the detail from before. It felt as if the author had so much in her mind that she was unable to write fast enough to keep up with the developing storyline in her head.
Regardless, I did enjoy the story. I don't read many paranormal types of books, especially romances. But I tried it out, and it wasn't all that bad for me. I was not fully invested in the main characters, feeling they lacked a little substance, and was unable to emotionally connect with them. But their story kept my interest, even when their romance fell short of what I enjoy in other stories, and I wanted to know what would happen next and if they would be successful in their endeavors.
The author writes freely and with little error in mechanics and grammar. I was not overly distracted by the writing style and felt it flowed smoothly. As I said before, she paid great attention to detail in the first half of the book, making it far more enjoyable to me than the rest, but the second half was not bad, by any means. It was just not as good as the first half, being that it was not fully expanded.
I think I am going to go back and read the first two books to see if I can understand more and build an emotional connection with the characters. I believe I owe it to the story and the series before leaving such a "meh" review. After reading, I will return with an update to this review.
This book was just as surprising as Alpha Keaden. Yes it was about Grayson and Lexia and him trying to mate her, but there was a lot more to it. Lexia meets the Phantom Wolf and wasn't sure if anybody else saw him. He drugs her to get her to Grayson's house so he can claim her as his mate. No knowing what was going on, Lexia was really surprised when she woke up in a strange bed and a strange room. Lexia doesn't want to admit that she his man is her mate. Scared to death of Alpha's and mating, do to her sister being killed by her mate, she wants no part of it. Feeling overly comfortable, she admits this to Grayson. Being the gentle man he is, he gives her all the space she needs, In the mean time, the Phantom Wolf keeps visiting her and giving her wearing's about her mate. Finally she realizes that he has a secret and her curiosity gets the better of her. One night she follows him into the woods to see what he is up to, only to be kidnapped by the huntsman. She is drugged and taken to a man she has never seen before. This man is very bitter, strong magic and powerful compared to all the other Alphas. He has a plan and it includes Lexia. Lexia is rescued and brought back to Grayson, only to find herself taken again by this man. He wants a huge war between all the packs, so he can take over. He also wants the Moon Goddess killed, and this also has Lexia's name written all over it. As you go through the story, you find many surprises and OMG's. The story line takes a lot of twists and turns and leaves you wondering if Lexia really killed this man, or is he going to show up later in another book in the series. I found myself once again at the edge of my seat and not being able to put he book down. All emotions were felt throughout the story with a surprise ending. This author has a way with his words to pull you in and hold you here, even if there isn't a lot of fighting or action. You are just hooked!
Amount of sex 1/ 5 How explicit 1 / 5 Story 4.5 / 5 Overall: 4.5 / 5 Review: This time I read the second of the box set books Alpha Grayson. The second book is just as much fun as the first book. This definitely can be read as a standalone, but the first book gives the reader more of the lay of the world Crane has created. The book is very light in the spice department for Behind Closed Doors, but the romance and intrigue of what will happen and sparks between the characters makes for a great story. Lexie and Grayson have trouble finding time to really connect physically as they work to solve the issues presented in this story with the villain, Cyprian (who is just not a nice guy).
I love that Lexi is strong and no-nonsense. She has a good heart although, at the end of Alpha Kaden and beginning of Alpha Grayson, her motives are not clear (giving a nice touch of intrigue). Grayson is introduced in the first book and his curse is made much clearer in this next addition to the story. I am really looking forward to Alpha Jasper and his story as he is super mysterious (as he in introduced in this second book).
I continue to love the world these characters live in. I love the characters and their interesting...let's say traits (particularly the different Alphas - because who doesn't want to know more about an Alpha of Love and a whole different Alpha who is the Alpha of the Desire pack?). I love the story and how it all weaves together.
Get your kids to the pool and your feet up in the lounge chair, Midika Crane delivers a great summer read!
Alpha Grayson by Midika Crane Review Rebellion, love, danger, and a mission are just a sample of the action!
Lexia was kidnapped by Alpha Kaden at the age of thirteen, now a member of the Vengeance Pack she plans an uprising to take down the Alphas and unify the 13 Packs. But Fate has other plans for her. Lexia finds her mate in Alpha Grayson, a man whose silver eyes leave Lexia without control over her carnal desires. But their romance becomes secondary when Cyprian, an evil source with magical powers, puts them both in grave danger on his mission to ignite a war. Will Lexia and Grayson stand against Cyprian and prevent his schemes from coming to pass? Will they ever be able to consummate their newly-found love?
What did I like? The main thing that I like about this book was Lexia. She is a strong woman that figures out what she wants and then does everything in her power (with a little help from her friends) to obtain it. This genre is my second love and this book certainly gained my full attention. I was caught on page one and could hardly lay it down.
What will you like? This has a very developed and powerful storyline with a cast of characters that will find you falling in love with them. There is a little touch of everything humor, sexy men, mystery, intrigue, sex and love plus a dangerous mission. It starts strong and does not let up till the end. I am glad that it does not end there, this is just book two and it continues with others already finished and even comes in boxed sets. I received this from the author for an honest review with no other compensation.
This was my first author read for Midika Crane. Alpha Grayson is part of a series, but considering I didn't read the previous book it didn't take me long to catch up on the story arc. Lexia, most times, comes across as a strong leader considering she was kidnapped from her own pack at a young age. However, when she meets Alphas they love to remind her just how weak she is. The woman inside of me wanted to roar at that statement, while I understand the pack mentality of, you are stronger mated to your mate then when you struggle through life alone. I had to tell my inner woman to calm down while reading this book. Aside from wolfish behavior, which is to be expected, there was some getting used to all the pack names mentioned. A chart would have been a nice touch, perhaps something for the author to keep in mind going forward as the series grows. Who the packs are, the alphas in charge, what their traits are, etc... Now on to the story, I loved the weird quirks, especially from Jasper. I think I had a bit of a crush on him at the beginning. Sorry Grayson. Midika Crane has a lot of potential built into this world that she could write off of characters for years to come. If you like paranormal, magic, and a bit of quirky in your characters, then you should really enjoy this book.
A view weeks ago I was approached to read and review ‘Alpha Grayson’. This is the third book in the Alpha series, but I was told this book could be read as a standalone.
From the very moment I started reading ‘Alpha Grayson’ I honestly had the feeling I was missing something. Supposedly this book can be read as a standalone, but I really was missing information I think, because I just didn’t get a lot of the parts in this book. For one the whole Alpha bit, took me a little while to understand and I didn’t know this book would have some paranormal parts in it.
The Romance in ‘Alpha Grayson’ felt really rushed for me. One moment Lexia seemed to hate Grayson, and the second she wanted him and loved him. Seriously, I just couldn’t connect to these characters, because I really didn’t feel like I got to know them really good through this book.
The paranormal parts in this book were unexpected but I enjoyed those parts. It was fun to see there was more to this book than I expected and it gave this read something special.
Overall this book wasn’t for me. Throughout this book I kept feeling I missed important stuff and the romance just didn’t work for me.
Alpha Grayson As soon as I started this ARC copy of Alpha Grayson I knew there was at least another story before. Do yourself a favor and do as I did and read that one first. Alpha Grayson takes off from the cliff hanging conclusion of Alpha Kaden. It continues the twists and turns from the earlier story, but I found this story had more humor than the first. In the first story Lexia was very much portrayed as a badass, but this story doesn't take the same approach. I'm not sure if all the co-existing plots in these stories are a detractor or what hook you in to keep reading. The only deterrent I was sure about was the dramatic changing of scenes and how the story jumps around. I found myself having to re-read sections to be sure that I followed what was happening. I'm definitely reading the next story after this cliffhanger ending. I rate this story 4.5 hearts. ***reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock***
This is a voluntary and honest review for an advanced copy.
This is the second book in this series and I enjoyed reading it. Even though I enjoyed reading the first book I think that this one was better. Not just the storyline, plot and characters but I think the writing was so much better. It read smoother and felt more believable. Some places still felt a bit "off" but overall much better than the first.
This story is quite fast paced and exciting and kept me interested all the way through. A little predictable but it didn't matter because I was enjoying the story. The characters are becoming more believable as well. I do like the idea of different packs but i did get bit muddled and kept forgetting who was who. I would have to go back to clarify.
Over all an enjoyable read and I would recommend this. Looking Forward to reading the next book.
Wow just wow. I love this series of books. They are so well done and written expertly. They are also just fun to read.
This book is Alpha Greyson's story. This one is a little more complex then the first. Lexia does not want to be tied to an alpha. And fate himself is plotting to kill the moon goddess. And alpha Jasper is mixed in. So no matter how hard they try something or someone is out to get them. And then there is the puppet master who is pulling all the strings that we have no clue who it is yet. But we find out in this one. But will she be able to save herself and everyone else before time runs out.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too
Another book in the series, although it is a stand-alone, I recommend reading the books in sequence due to the different packs and characters. Alexia is working with a team to remove Alphas from the pack leadership. She really doesn't want them all removed, just one. She was kidnapped at a young age and used to carry out one alpha's bidding. Little did she know what was really going on. She'd never take a mate let alone an Alpha. Right! Meeting an alpha that has a strange effect on her at a ball puts her in contact with the people who are about to change her life in so many ways.
The author has combined mythology with fantasy and a little folklore with her keen imagination to bring a world of mates, trickery, fate, and love to her readers. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
This is the first book I have read by author Midika Crane and it will not be the last. In fact I need to go and read the first book in this series and then re-read this book so that I will better understand this book. Alpha Grayson was a bit confusing to start with but once I got into it and figured out what happened in the previous book. then the book really started to be good for me. Grayson is an alpha without a mate. In fact he thought he would never have one, be cursed to be alone. He meets Lexie (a strong women herself which I loved) and things change. I really like this book and it has a different take on packs and even things. Like I said before this is a book I will be re-reading after I read book one and then I plan to read book 3 Jasper.
Lexia is a leader able to persuade people to do her bidding. Or is she? She has been pretending to lead a revolution against the Alpha system. There is unfortunately someone else behind it. Greyson is the Alpha of the Freedom pack. He has a terrible secret. This is a really strange story, nothing like our normal paranormal romances. For a so called leader our heroine spends a lot of time in the control of others. Our hero is also not as all conquering as we would expect. There is a lot of unusual magic about. Who the real baddies are will take you the whole book to find out. Enjoyable but strange.
WOW! This story of Lexia & Grayson is just as suspenseful, and captivating as the story of Alpha Kaden. There is a man that uses magic to control people to do his bidding. His goal is to set off a war among all the various packs. A surprising twist reveals other nefarious plans from other individuals. There is mystery, intense suspense and several fascinating storylines within this story of Grayson. Overall, the story is complex, a cast of colorful characters and a paranormal world with unbelievable dimensions. A lover of shifter stories will be astounded by the detail and action without anyone shifting once. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Five stars.
"I liked the synopsis - it didn’t tell too much of the plot.
It was an okay read. I read it in two hours in my computer. It was an ARC review so I liked to read them as soon as I get them.
I thought that the “plot-twists” weren’t really plot twists and that sometimes the writing seemed to be too fast. Too many things happening at once and too many different characters. I had to go back a few times to try to understand what was going on and who was partner with whom. "
Received a pre-launch copy - I enjoyed the idea of the Alphas. I have not read any of the other Alpha series so I read this as a stand-alone.
The story premise in itself is good. There are a couple of places where I feel the story veered off in different ways and lost focus on Grayson.
The point of view is from several of the main characters, with the female Lexia's point of view being predominant. I was a tad disappointed there wasn't much "shifting", from human to werewolf form.
I still enjoyed the story and will look into getting other Alpha reads!
I was waiting for Grayson's book with a lot of excitement because when he was mentioned in Kaden book (if I'm not wrong) he looks so cool and I love him so much.
But the thing is, in his book (hello spoiler) there's a lot of Jasper mentioned in it. And it feels like this is Jasper book not Grayson.
Oh poor my bby Grayson.
I know this book is supposed to be an introduction for Jasper, just like Kaden's book for Grayson, but I think Jasper is the main chara here.
But well it's Midika's book, so I still love it so damn much~
I loved book 1 and 2 so I was really disappointed in this one. There was little in this book that related to the other 2. The interconnection of Grayson and Kaden was not relevant to the story. I feel like it could have been any of the other Alphas and still worked. Caprian was annoying more than evil. It wasn't explained exactly what he was: Alpha or Phantom. I didn't like Grayson or Lexia. I wish that Lexia was more likable than she is made out to be. I liked Grayson better in Kaden's book. Overall I love the series but not this book. I got this ARC from Inkitt
Although I found the storyline to be interesting I had a hard time keeping up with who the characters were and which pack they belonged to. I felt the story could have been fleshed out more as things seemed to go quickly with little or no buildup to it. It reminded me of the mountain climber from The Price Is Right, it went up and up and up and then crashed down. I feel that this book, as a buildup of one of the Alphas, lacked. I don't believe I will be reading the follow-up books in this series.
I reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a great book. It drags you into the story and make you become part of the characters. This book continues from book one, ‘Alpha Kaden’. It is a story about all the Alpha Leaders getting together to rid the world of one person, Cyprian, and the dangers they were in to achieve this goal. But there’s a twist at the end. I received an ARC kindle version of this book in exchange for an honest review. I recommend this book to everyone who likes werewolves.
