Alpha Mail lacked any form of complexity or conflict, which made Sienna's story so goshdarn boring. DNF @ 70%

I liked the heroine and her need to help and support financially her best friend and her love for her best friend's kid.
Now the hero, did like him? No I didn't.
He was alright but when he started emailing the heroine, he said something around the lines "I have never told a woman she was mine but sure I've shown a few" Uhh, I don't want my hero to show or say that the OW are his. I only want the heroine to be shown this by him. I want the heroine to be the first for him. Is it unrealistic? Sure it is but I'm not reading books for the reality I'm reading for the fantasy.
So the hero says he's been in love with the heroine for 10 years but that didn't stop him from sleeping with ows? At least the heroine has the excuse of saying that she never knew that he was in love with her and she never saw him that way either.
“Ryan,” she says in a breathless tone. “That was ten years ago.”
I nod and fold my arms over my chest. “Yeah.”
“But you . . .” She shakes her head. “You’ve been with women since then. There was that time I saw you downtown with that blonde a few years ago.”
“I knew it would never happen between us, Sienna. I knew you didn’t see me that way, and I knew Coop wouldn’t let me even try if you did. So I tried to shake the feeling by dating other women, but it never worked. I started to feel bad about it, like I was using them, so a few years ago, I stopped”
So typical, A man in love with the heroine but that doesn't stop him from having sex with OWs.

Alright peeps, rant incoming.
It's rare, that I get so aggravated about a book. There a good ones out there and there are bad ones out there. Those I like and those I don't - those with tropes and topics that bother me and ... yeah, yeah you get what I am saying.
This one started off good. It felt nice and well written, I was hoping - as the description insinuated - for a funny, light-hearted, strong-willed banter between two strong alpha people that have different opinions. Boy was I wrong.
The first 30 % or 40 % were totally fine, even funny at times and I liked the h - even some of the phrases the H wrote. But it bugged the hell out of me, that she didn't nag him more, to say her who he was. The first time, it may have been "mysterious" and "exciting" even - but at one point, when she knew that he definitely knew her and met her before, I was simply annoyed. Sorry but, in her place I would have been so suspicious and would have ended contact immediately. Because hello? Stalker alarm.
The H turned out to be everything but an alpha, he behaved and acted like a boy. I had to think of people that spout every stupid shit they can think of in the internet and behave like trolls and assholes, because there is anonymity that keeps you safe and you don't kow who you hurt. He never expected to meet her as this chat partner, he was leading her on without thinking, that she would also possibly discover feelings for him, although he DID now she was a person behind the screens. It was selfish and without thinking and almost cruel. And then in the second half of the book he was so WHINY and annoying, and wallowed in self-pity. Sorry none of this screams alpha. A real man like he claims he is would have had guts, he would have fought for his woman and then he would not have given up when she knew who he was, he should have tried to convince her. DONE ANYTHING. No uh-uh he couldn't deal with the situation at all.
Listen folks, I love a flawed man. I don't necessarily need someone who is confident all the time - being vulnerable makes one human, that is absolutely ok and can even be sexy. But he wasn't only not an alpha like he claimes, he was so whiny about everything, such a sissy, I was just pissed as hell at him.
When the "drama" began and the real person behind the chat name was revealed - they couldn't even talk face to face - so many important steps happened only over screen and sorry, but this is not how I work. And no I am not old fashioned, I am 28, born and bred in than mobile phone generation and I love my PC and smartphone as well as every other gal in my generation.
The H ruined the whole book for me - I was angry and frustrated and aggravated for most of the time - add to that a terminally ill child a whole lot of sadness also came into play. Honestly, this was not what I signed up for, picking up this book. I wanted intelligent witty banter, fun and lightness - IF this would have been great and entertaining I would have stomached the story with the child - but this way, the whole book is plastered with negative feelings for me and I could not enjoy it anymore.
This one was not for me. Not at all. I'm having anger issues right now. Getting short breath just thinking about it. Trying to forget this ridiculous, pathetic piece of man-boy.

OMG this book!!!!!!!!!
I laughed with them, I cried with them, I screamed AT them.
We all have that "friend", you know the one we have probably never met in person but will listen to us or help us when we need it the most. Well in this case it is that ALPHA man we need, the one who gets us all hot and bothered, who listens to our daily struggles and lets us vent, the one who encourages us and makes us feel better about ourselves. This is the business Sienna has started for women everywhere. As the business grows, Sienna finds herself her own ALPHA who wants to set her straight.
Secret Admirers can always lead to trouble. They cause people to do crazy things and make some stupid assumptions. Secret Admirers can make you feel safe, loved and wanted but when the truth is revealed can leave you wishing you never knew the truth.
Once you know the truth you might start looking at yourself and others differently, it may even change relationships with people you love the most. But the truth must always come out and relationships are always meant to change and either grow or fall apart.

This had cute parts and I liked the H/h banter
What I didn’t like
- Hero took 10 yrs before making a move on heroine who is his best friend’s little sister
- Heroine is the breadwinner for her best friend who has a terminally sick kid, this is weird coz she’s like paying for everything and the best friend doesn’t even seem all that grateful. Heroine was so stressed providing for all the medical care by herself... just didn’t sit right with me

Alpha Mail is meant to bring on the laughter and amp up the seduction. Ms. Rothert packs this showstopper with plenty of surprises. From the hotshot characters to the electrifying romance and the belly full of laughs, the party begins and ends with a hint of mystery and never backs down.

My new favorite by Brenda Rothert! This story will hook you from the start and the struggle is real to put it down. You will laugh out loud and swoon. Your heart will squeeze and swell. Definitely a must read!

When I saw this book, I knew immediately that I wanted to read it and I was certain that I would love it. What I didn't know was just how much I would love it. This book was amazing as it draws the reader in. We all know someone who is an Alpha Mail, and like the main character Sienna, we have probably had a date with an Alpha and hated it as they turned out to be jerks. I know I had a bad date with an alpha and OMFG worst date ever as he was rude, no manners and then when I told him we weren't going to work, he asked for my sister's number though if I think about it, they were more suited, but still. Over a night with her best friend Sienna came up with a business idea called Alpha Mail. Where females can sign up and get the sexting / talking part of the alphas without all the other hassle and even better no relationship needed. Sienna's life is taken up mainly with her business and looking after Carmen and Jack who is dying. After an article shows up about her business, Sienna receives an email from RoughRider16 telling her she needs schooling in "real alphas." What begins is then an IM/Email romance, but what happens when she discovers who the person behind RoughRider16 is? Will it change her developing feelings? Alpha Mail ticks all the boxes for a great book from romantic comedy, IM/Emails, Friendships and then the emotional parts and though Jack was a minor part, he stole the show with his cuteness and child mannerism/ sayings. I just wanted in parts to cuddle up with Jack and be like we are here for you mate and take care of him. Alpha Mail is a romance read that should be added to your 2017 reading lists.

We all have those go to authors that we don't even think about it twice when we #oneclick. Brenda Rothert is one of those authors for me, and the amount of heart that she put behind Alpha Mail just comes to cement that.
Never judge a book by its cover they say, while this is not completely truth with this book, there is so much depth and so much heart behind this particular cover.
Sienna Mills is an intelligent, accomplished business woman, who based on her romantic experiences with men who proclaimed themselves to be alpha males opens her own business for women interested in the alpha part of the guys without the actual relationship hassle. Genius idea that's bringing Sienna recognition and the financial stability she needs to take care of those she loves most. It would seem that Sienna has everything she ever wanted, but there's something missing, and that's when RoughRider16 comes into play, the mysterious stranger who's committed to show her what an alpha male is really like.
While I laughed at a certain scene until I had tears in my eyes, I swooned at the beautiful words that RR16 would communicate to Sienna, I also cried for a little boy that is losing a battle against an unforgiving disease. You will love the tenderness that you see in this characters towards that boy,the despair of a mother and best friend who know what the future awaits, and the overwhelming love they have for each other against all odds.
Alpha Mail is a soul defying kind of story, a story that show us that maybe we had it all wrong when it comes to relationships, that is until someone comes along and show us how amazingly beautiful it is not only to love those who we care about fiercely, but to have someone love us with such intensity and passion that our lives will never be the same.

This may be the longest review I've ever written so, just buckle up for the ride. Let's tackle this piece by piece. First, the cover. Don't let the cover fool you about the contents of this book. While it adequately fits the business portrayed in the book, it doesn't quite display the depth of heart you're going to encounter in this story. Second, let's talk about that depth of heart. I saw the cover, I read the blurb, and I was prepared for light, fluff, and humor. I got all of that, but I got so much more. I identified very strongly with Sienna, and I loved that the character progression that needed to happen in this story was mainly from the heroine, instead of the hero. I was swept away by Sienna and her love for those around her. Third, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Brenda Rothert writes the most amazing secondary characters you'll ever read. They're always well thought out and bring so much to the story. I fell head over heels for Carmen and Jack. So, to sum it all up, I absolutely loved this book. I laughed, I cried (both from emotion in the story, as well as emotion it brought out of me), I gasped at lines that could have been taken right out of my own head. Do yourself a favor and read this book!

This was more than just a romance - there were several layers and different kinds of love in this book - romantic love, friend love, and family love. As far as the romance goes, this was a slow-burn with the sexy times coming very late into the story. The heroine is career driven and focused on expanding her business. She has a kind heart and wants to succeed so she can provide for her best friend and her son who has a terminal illness. That part of the story was really emotional and broke my heart. Well written with a little bit of humor, emotional scenes and a bit of steam - I really enjoyed this book!

Its been a while since Ive read a Brenda book... needless to say, I could kick my own ass for this. But hey.... life happens right??! I love love love this storyline. Its fun and unique and not something I have seen or heard of. That really made the book stand out a lot. The characters are super passionate and honest. Which is very refreshing. I was so caught up in some of the scenes that I had tears in my eyes. This isn't just a sexy hot read.... Its a soul searching read. I felt so much for not just the main characters but the secondary ones as well. They are almost the bones of the story. And when you read youll see why and understand. I loved this book. Brenda once again takes real issues and sheds light on them and makes you feel. Shes brilliant.

Alpha Male is the first book I have read by Brenda and I f***** loved it! I hope there will be a second book. Great characters and story line flowed. I am going to keep this short & sweet because I don't want to give anything away. Alpha Male is a MUST read and have a box of tissues nearby. I am looking forward to reading more of Brenda's books.

Alpha Mail is the first book I have read by Brenda Rothert and it will not be my last! I really loved this book! I loved the story and the secret identity of RoughRider16! I loved Sienna, she was really sweet for what she was doing for Carmen and Jack. Ryan was swoony, I loved him!! I really enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to reading more from Brenda!

What would you do if you got a mail from an anonymous arrogant RoughRider who's willing to teach you what's an Alpha but will never meet you in person?
I’ll never get to take you to bed, but if I could, that’s when you’d see a side of me no one else ever sees. A side that’s only for you. That’s when I’d tell you how crazy you drive me in those skirts you wear and how much it turns me on hearing you say my name. You’d see me turn from the gentleman who makes you feel cherished every second of the day into a beast ruled only by his raging desire for you. I wouldn’t leave an inch of you untouched or unsatisfied.
Surprisingly I loved this book so much. And though the idea of Alpha Mail was crazy as f@ck it was ridiculously hilarious.
Looking forward to Coop's story and I hope it involves Carmen and the little Jack.

They say don't judge a book by it's cover, it's something i'm guilty of. This cover is attractive and eye catching and suits this book but it doesn't epitomize the emotion within this title. I love Brenda Rothert's books and haven't been disappointed yet, and i loved the element of mystery in this title surrounding RoughRider16's identity.
Alpha Mail is a unique, fun story, passionate and emotional story full of twists and turns, surprises and laughs.
Sienna and her secret admirer are incredibly endearing characters. Sienna is loyal, loving, kind, hard working, determined and incredibly big heart. She has an enormous love for those closest to her, and will do anything in her power to ease their burdens.
Her secret admirer is swoon worthy, an alpha who is kind, protective, caring, loving and respectful.
I really enjoyed this entertaining read, and although it's a standalone I hope that we see more of the side characters, and that they may get their own story at some time in the future.
You will not regret picking up this title if you enjoy a romance with an element of humor, but also emotion and heart.

Soooooo uhmmm i really did enjoy this one .... to a certain extend...
So Sienna has had enough of dating alpha males and starts a successful company called alpha mail where you get all the attention you would receive from an alpha (excluding sex, any physical attention and spankings in the bath room for making eye contact with a stranger) - via text and telephone calls.

I truly enjoyed this book up until the reveal. I didn't expect him and to be honest or is that just me?
They couldn't form a basic conversion after the reveal.
To me the ending felt rushed, especially after the long build up of who this anonymous "alpha" is.
I couldn't bring my self to give this book 2 stars - seeing as I actually enjoyed it (and the anticipation of who the alpha is) but after that it kind of fell flat.
So Sienna has had enough of dating alpha males and starts a successful company called alpha mail where you get all the attention you would receive from an alpha (excluding sex, any physical attention and spankings in the bath room for making eye contact with a stranger) - via text and telephone calls.

As soon as I read an excerpt from this book I just knew that I had to read it, and I was not disappointed. One of my favorite features in a novel is when the characters frequently communicate via text and/or email. Not only does it add an extra special something to the story, but it’s also very relatable.
The fact that this type of communication allows the hero of Alpha Mail to remain anonymous for much of the novel made me love it even more. I couldn’t put this book down until I found out just who the hero was and what was going to happen between him and Sienna.

Sienna owns Alpha Mails which came about after all the terrible dates she had. Sienna is trying to get investors for her business so she can expand. Her best friend Carmen and her son Jack live with her. Carmen had to quit work to take care of Jack full time as he has Batten disease. Sienna wants to make sure the business is a success so she can take care of Jack’s medical bills since he will not get better.
This book was a different story cleverly told and I loved it. There was mystery, heartache, crazy people, laughter, and love. Sienna thinks she will never fall in love and is happy taking care of Carmen and Jack. She is close to her brother and his friend Ryan. Her business is really something different that I would have never thought about. It was a very good book that I strongly encourage you to read. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

Alpha Mail is another HUGE hit from the talented Brenda Rothert. It's a beautifully crafted tale. Alpha Mail while fun at times with many laugh out loud moments, also had very heartfelt, passionate and emotional side to the story. Some very interesting twists and turns in this book!

From the title and the cover I was expecting a light hearted romance but what I got was so much more!! This book provoked so many emotions, I loved it!! Sienna has started a business called Alpha Mail. She spends hours making it a profitable business not only for herself but for Carmen, who lives with her, and Carmen’s son Jack who has Batten’s disease. Sienna is desperate to find investors to make her business a success so she can help Carmen with Jacks medical bills. However, while she is looking for inverstersshe starts getting mysterious emails, from a true alpha male. She is more and more intrigued by each message, but who is sending them?

Oh my Lord, I’m a little speechless after this book. I’m a little heartbroken, giddy, bereft and elated all at the same time. This story is bittersweet and hopeful with all the forms of love it portrays. I laughed and I cried and I felt so much. I love Brenda’s books but this is definitely going to be in the top ten list of my favourites for a long time to come.

While looking for investors so she can expand her business she starts receiving mysterious emails that start to intrigue her. Does she know who’s on the other end? Is it safe? Will she ever meet him? This touching story had me from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down.

Wow, just blown away. Definitely my favourite Brenda Rothert book by far!
Such a different and funny idea for a story and I love the anonymity of RoughRider and the way the story develops in a way that has you completely glued to the book to see what happens next!
Love the side characters as well and hoping we get a book about them as well sometime in the future!

Full of feels! A book is great when you realize you're giggling out loud but also tearing up uncontrollably - and feeling every emotion in between. This book has it all!
Sienna cynically founded her company on getting the best parts of an alpha relationship without the other hassles. When she finds she has her own mystery alpha, things start to get... interesting...
