Want to know the truth about Lady Matilda St. Clair?

Well, there are two things she is not:
She is not a lady.
She is not Matilda St. Clair.

So, who is she?

She is Eudora 'Dorie' Gore, the daughter of London's most legendary criminal, Captain James Gore, and she's on the run from herself. For the last few years, she's lived under the guise of Lady St. Claire, but everything begins to unravel when she meets her match.

...Hearts were made to be mended... Together.

Sir John Abrams is known by the public as Sir Blackheart, the notorious knight-turned-thief who stole right from under the king's nose. He was sentenced to Australia because of a lie created by Captain Gore, but escaped to the Continent.

Now ... he's back to clear his name.
For himself and for a little niece he'd never known was counting on him.
And he'll need help.

But when help comes in the form of a woman who's as beautiful as she is mysterious, John finds himself adding something to his list.

Find out who the real Lady St. Clair is... and steal her heart.

Will their adventure end in triumph?
Can John and Dorie find a way to leave their past behind to forge a new future together?

Another great read from Eleanor Meyers! This book takes on the story of Blackheart, who's been a side character in several previous books in this series. It's also Dorie's story, another new character. I really enjoy how the author weaves in new characters in each book, and then expands on their story in a later book. It keeps the books from getting stale, as each additional character brings in background, trials/tribulations, and issues. These seamlessly interweave with established characters and prior tales. I can't wait for the next one!

Poorly edited..

This is the second of Meyer's books I have attempted to read with the same result. Editing is extremely poor. The story is not well thought out. The writing is good but not worth reading if the story does not hold together. I will not read another of her books and do not recommend her to others.

How to Keep a Knight by Eleanor Meyers is another brilliant masterpiece. I cannot fathom how she does it, but each of her books is superb. The writing is well-done. The charcaters are believable and highly entertaining. Never a dull moment. These two characters are not exactly good nor evil. They have a past they seems to keep following them. I was immediately enticed by their passion, fierce personalities and their troubles. It was easy to love them. Sympathy towards them happened. I wanted to see where their lives were headed. Wondered if their situations got fixed or were made worse. Eleanor Meyers hooked me from the beginning to end. This new regency romance was delightful to read. Full of action, daring, a clean yet boldness that left me in awe. Overall, this is clearly one adventure I highly recommend to all.

Blackheart's Story of Chicanery and Romance

Another winner for Eleanor Meyers! I loved this continuing story that tells Sir John aka Blackheart and Lady Matilda aka Dories' story. Both of the main characters have come from the common East end of London and find themselves living and consorting with the Ton. Ms Meyers weaves such an intriguing tale of passion, hidden secrets and the sacred love of siblings that cannot be squelched by the mere social demeanor of the Ton or by domineering family.
I couldn't wait for Blackheart's story and was not disappointed! He turned out to be the spectacular hero that I was sure him to be!
Every book in this series by Eleanor Meyers just keeps getting better and I look forward to the next one. Although it is fun seeing recurring characters in each book it is not necessary to read them all as they all are standalone books.

Another delightful book by Ms. Meyers. She finally gives us Blackheart's story and what a story it is!
We have met Blackheart in other books. He has always been mysterious and clever. He meets his match when he meets Dorie. She is just as clever as he is and can disguise herself beyond recognition until she speaks one word. Their relationship is a game of cat and mouse and hiding behind made up stories and false identities.
Once I started this wonderful story, I could not put it down. I truly enjoyed how characters from Ms. Meyer's other books make an appearance. They have become like old friends. You are welcome to read this as a standalone and would enjoy it. If you do, I encourage you to go back to the beginning as each of Ms. Meyers' books is truly fabulous.

How to keep a Knight

This was a truly enjoyable book to read. Ever since meeting Sir Blackheart in other stories    I have been wanting to read his adventure. And that is what you get in 'How to keep a Knight'. Blackheart meets the mysteries Dorie a woman who can match him in everyway, He must find a way to help his Niece, and at the sametime find the stolen items to gain back his life. I truly appreciated how Eleanor Meyers delt with the revealing of the true identity of Dorie to our hero, and how all find there happy ever after. This was good clean book with no scenes in it I recommend it to all who love a good romance.

I received a free book for an honest review.

I have really been enjoying the Wardington Park series. I love how many characters there are that we keep getting to know better. Lady Matilda St. Clair/Dorie is a very interesting heroine, a mixture of tough guy and sweet lady. What fun it was to delve deeper into the world of Blackheart/Sir John! He captured my interest in How to Make a Marquess, but won my love with his role in How to Design a Duke.

I hope there will be a book featuring Lord Simon St. Clair!

My only complaint is how bad the editing is in all the books thus far.

How To Keep A Knight is about a previous character in Ms. Meyers books named Blackheart who was a thief and on the run from the King. He is wanting to reform and sets out to make amends. He meets a woman and is intrigued with her from the beginning. She has her own secrets and together they set out to steal items and return them to the rightful owner. Of course, sparks fly as the attraction to each other intensifies. This was a fun read

Lovely story!

Fascinating tale of deception and determination! With both main characters pretending to be someone else, it gets a bit confusing as they try to uncover each other's secrets. It makes for a hysterical funny adventure and I found myself chuckling out loud! Love these families! And of course, Wardington has to be present. He's great! Just a bit evil in this story. Good read!

Love for the Knight

Enjoyed reading this book about John and Dorie. Their childhood was not good. Dorie's was raised by her dad who was a leader of a gang of thieves. John was in the group. Years past by and once again they meet but he does not recognize who she is. I don't want to give the story away because it is a great story to read.

Another great book! This one is just as fun as the others in this series. It is entertaining and easy to read and it's clean. I really enjoy these books and look forward to future books in this series. What I like is that each book, while a love story with a happy ending, has a unique story. They aren't all the same. I highly recommend these books if you like the regency era.

This series gets better and better

The running theme in Ms. Meyers books is transformation thru love, trust and forgiving, not in preachy ways but in the actions of flawed characters. Everyone writes the plot for u, but say treat like a movie, maybe film noir. They are all stand alone books tho I suggest your get to know everyone, there are a lot of good/bad people.

I’ve been following this series for a while now and I’ve started to lose interest in the series. I felt that the books have gradually gotten worse as the series continues. To be honest, I was very interested in reading about the newly restored knight’s story, but I felt that this story didn’t really do a deep dive into Sir John Abrams’s life just lightly touched on his sister and her family. But not a lot on his past in the Navy or his career as a thief.

I had thought that I would really like Eudora’s character who is the daughter of the legendary criminal, Captain James Gore. But I was quite disappointed with her. She didn’t really have the courage that I had thought that she would possess or the personality.

Aside from the story was very boring between the two and I didn’t feel the chemistry between the two, so it was a little hard to believe that they were really in love. Or would really fall for each other. There was a lot of back and forth that made it quite hard to concentrate on the story. There was a lot of grammatical errors that had made reading difficult. I did lose interest a few chapters in and didn’t go back to finish until recently.

Is he a thief, a pirate, or a knight? Is she a courtesan or a lady? Whatever they may be...they are definitely on an adventure! Each time I read a book by Eleanor Meyers...I think it's the best one yet. This is no exception. Looking forward to the next!

WONDERFUL!

I really enjoyed this book! It was an amazing story of how people could be thrown in mail on a lie. It also showed how people from all walks of life band together to get the truth and can find love along the way.

A Knight

This is another good book with the Wardington family. I enjoyed this book. Eleanor is a good author who writes about fun, loving, and exciting characters. This story proves that your last doesn't have to break you. I recommend this book. There are some editing problems.

Too many errors

While this was an interesting story, there were too many spelling and grammatical errors. I spent more time deciphering sentences and making notes, than concentrating on reading.

I really enjoyed this book partly because of the characters and partly due to the mission John and Dorie had to undertake. This felt like the end to this particular Wardington set of stories all of which are brilliant.

I loved this adventurous romance.

The pairing of John and Dorie is awesome. This story in the Wardington Park series was so much fun to read and it was this adventure that brings them together. Eleanor Meyers gives us another five star read to enjoy.

A nice romp. The editor, however, was terrible! The misuse of words, the grammatical errors, and the general quality makes me wonder if the editor was not a native speaker of English.....or simply okayed the book without even reading it.

Entertaining story

Overall this was a good story. However, it seemed as though the author quit editing towards the end. There were several spots that auto correct changed words.

Good

The only issue with this book is that there could have been better editing and spell checking on this book.
