When the punk rock queen of Seattle, Na Na Evermore, does a broadcast highlighting the Pike Bakery. The mischievous and meddlesome sisters, Eve and Zoey go about nudging her toward the geeky personal assistant assigned to Na Na, Karmin Hughes. Hilarity and romance ensue, and as usual all it takes is just a nudge from everyone’s favorite redheads.
By serendipity or happenstance, it turns out that Na Na (Nala) and Karmin know each other, as they had attended school together. And for Nala, it is a frightening and exciting revelation, having someone who knew who she really was underneath the strong and confident armor of Na Na she wrapper herself in.
Maybe the quirky and adorable Karmin could finally coax Nala out into the light to shine like her alter ego.
(The Pike series is set in the same world as Music of the Soul and London Harmony, and can be read as a standalone book.)

Absolutely lovely story, with great characters, lots of laughs and as always a great lesson on life. And of course a cliffhanger at the end, start writing Erik!!!
Another great entry in the MOTS spin-off series. I really enjoy Erik's quirky and cute characters and Na Na and Karmin are no exception. This book stays on the lighter side which I greatly appreciated today of all days when work was so dark. Well written, well edited, and a great clash of two worlds I love.
“Evermore (The Pike #3)” is a very enjoyable addition to the fun Pike series, and Allyson Voller provides excellent narration, once again!
MCs Na Na Evermore (sweet and insecure Nala in her real life persona) and the quirky MC Karmin are very cute together, and the bakery sisters are terrifically meddlesome as always. 4.8*
Recently I have read quite a few books that have been disappointing, so I turned to an author who rarely disappoints. This was such an easy book to read, once I started I didn’t put it down until I finished. This is quite a gentle story and it’s clear from quite early on what is going to happen, but this doesn’t matter as it is just a fun read.
Nala and Karmin are two very special characters. Each seeing the other as strong and forceful while at the same time seeing themselves as shy, insecure and hiding behind the facade of their made up veneers. Both of these women are forces of nature each hiding behind their made up facades. Na Na Evermore, tough, brash, foul mouthed yet on the edge of the thrash metal music scene. Karmin Hughes, shy, professional, into anime and scary smart. A more unlikely pair you wouldn't imagine yet an better match you couldn't find. A great story of success and love and awesome characters. A great read!
