Ryzen

This was a fantastic story! I enjoyed the way Ryzen was a jaded dragon who has lived for 750 years! 250 years before he gave up his warrior status fearing he was too close to becoming a feral/ out of control drain who would kill anything and anyone. On a mission for his king he finds himself going through a portal of some sort and ending up on earth. To his surprise, he finds his enemy there. To his greater surprise, he finds his mate! It id so cute to read about how he goes from caring to being a royal spoiled pain in the butt.

If you want a quick read this would be good. I did give it a lower rating because of the ending. I felt it brought out a lot of different emotions through out the story line. I liked that Ava and Ryzen came together to find their love for each other. I did not care for the ending. It really needed to go into more detail. Like what's this connecting to the source. Why does Ryzen call her sister, In the Epilogue it does not completely explain every thing and Ava does not even come into that part, but its 10 years later what does that have to do with 10 good years. I think I had more questions on the ending. I received a arc copy for my honest review.

Hmmm?

Ms. Jones has talent, but her writing voice confused me. One section would be quite enjoyable and the next would be overly simplistic. Some passages seemed to be in the mind set of today's teenagers. While other passages expressed a more mature style. I am on page 103 as of this writing. Let's see where this book journey takes us. Made it to the end. Didn't hate this book but didn't love it either. May read another in the series at some time but not right away.

Ryzen and Avery whose story this is about had great chemistry. Fun alien romance with great interaction and a storyline that flowed smoothly. Enjoyed the building of the relationship between the two and how it developed. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the end of this story. I felt it just ended too soon. Would like to see more along this line.
