A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over twenty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.
Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!
When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.
Another highly emotional read! This one hit very close to home for me! I loved how patient Zane was with Emme. The situation was very charged and definitely had a suspenseful air about it. Didn't care for a lot of the rehashing of what had happened in the previous book, even if it had been done through the eyes of Zane and Emme, but it was mostly forgivable. It was an engaging and engrossing read!
1/2026 I re-read this book (in preparation for the next generation), and I am so glad I did!
Not only did I love it even more than when I read it years ago, I forgot how these books deliver ALL the feels! Parts of this one are really tough... and so sad, but so compelling and addictive! The chemistry and connection between these two is adorable, steamy and entertaining. I loved how this extended friend group shows up and is "all in" for each other. Zane is exactly what she needs and is devoted to her well-being, and their HEA is especially rewarding.
I forgot that he’s a Cunningham - yes, THOSE Cunninghams! So it's fantastic to see the guys I already know and love from the Cunningham Security series again!
PLEASE read this series and more from this talented author! ❤️
Original review: 4/2017 Oh, Emme! My heart broke for this woman, but was repaired by Zane! A great read, and I cannot wait to get into the next one.
Read these in order to get the most from this story and series.
Emme and Zane are probably one of my favourite stories. They are just so amazing together and sweet. He absolutely adores Emme and would do anything for her, which after what she's been through she deserves everything good. He understands her situation, well as best he can in the beginning and is there for her when she needs him and even when she doesn't say it with words, he is there for her, to comfort her, protect her and love her. He is very protective of her right from the start which is a lovely thing to see. She is special to him and he shows her that. Emme is so sweet and kind, she tries to protect Zane by pushing him away but he won't allow that. What you see throughout their story is their fierce attraction, love and just how beautiful they are together and how he helps her fight her way out of the darkness and into the light. His light. It's all consuming and right and loving and good.
EVERYTHING I HAVE is an intense story, there is no doubt about that. I also feel the need to mention that there may be triggers in this story for it does show the ugliness and reality of domestic violence and abuse – simply be aware if those are triggers for you.
We met Emme and Zane in the first book of the Everything series, EVERYTHING I NEED. At that time while we learned of Charley’s pain we got glimpses of what Emme was going through as well – but certainly not the entire picture. I don’t intend to talk about that in this review for it is extremely intense, deeply painful, and an emotional roller coaster that may affect some readers of this review. In respect to them, I’m going to keep this rather short in the details of Emme and Zane’s romance.
I strongly believe this is a series that does need to be read in order. Charley, Emme, Monroe, and Nikki are all tied so closely together – friends, sisters of the heart, support system and more – their combined stories flow somewhat from one book to the next so reading out of order would change that dynamic of what they each experience, in my opinion.
For almost the first half of EVERYTHING I HAVE we’re seeing Zane and Emme’s relationship building through the parts we didn’t see in the first story but were hinted at and commented on. Seeing what they were doing and experiencing from their point of view now brings their relationship into a sharper view. The second half picks up where we were left at the ending of Wes and Charley’s story. My heart broke for what Emme has gone through, and my heart ached for what Zane went through in trying to support Emme and sometimes making mistakes. He’s only human and this is brand new territory for him. And this is where I stop talking about Emme and Zane’s story for it is intense, painful, joyful, dark and emerging light at the same time. You will feel in this story, and you will wonder at what the human spirit can endure before simply falling apart. I cried and I rejoiced as well.
It is in this story that we first meet Levi (Zane’s brother) and Elle (Wes’s sister) and experience their deep attraction to each other and the stumbling blocks set in their paths. It was Elle and Levi’s story in OBSESSED, the first of the Cunningham Security series that lead me back to the Everything series – and I’m so glad it did.
I would recommend this story, this series to any Romance reader – but it is very rough, graphic, and intense in several places so if you have triggers please take care of yourself with this story.
I have mixed feelings about this one so spoiler filled review to come as I work through it.
To start with - I love this group of characters and after having read 3 books with them, I’m not ready to stop and glad I have many more to go. I love the friendships. I also really really loved how this book overlapped with Charley and Wes’s story - a lot happening in the same timeline and getting to see what was happening in other places during their story. Here for ALL OF THAT.
But - this group of people who all love Emme and none of them push her to her professional mental health help? I find that so hard to believe and wish this had shown her working through things with her friends and a professional.
I also don’t buy the scene when she got kidnapped. The guys have a professional security firm and are on her all the time but just stopped watching while she went to the bathroom. I don’t think they would make that mistake. And while we are talking about Seth - Emme and Zane are just fine with not knowing what happened to him? Are we supposed to assume the other guys KILLED HIM and disposed of his body?? Because if not - isn’t there a trial she should be thinking about?? Why didn’t they get the police involved? What happened??
Yeah I don’t know. Excited to keep going with the series but this wasn’t a favorite.

I really enjoyed reading the first book in this series and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. Holy cow. Everything I Have knocked it out of the park for me. I loved the first book and this one was even better!! The storyline was great and pulled me in right from the prologue. While the story had dark elements, there were still tons of light-hearted, funny scenes as well. I experienced lots of belly-twisting moments, ugly-cry moments, and laugh-out-loud moments throughout this read. Zane’s overwhelming need to protect Emme along with her sweet & funny disposition made these two characters so lovable. Of course, the supporting characters are just as wonderful and I can’t wait to get the stories for the rest of the characters in this series. This book was well-written and the author did a great job of building up to the extraordinary moments in the story. A truly unforgettable read!!
After finishing the first book in the series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. I knew that it was going to be a darker read based on the description (and the ending to the first book in the series). This was an outstanding read. I loved it more than the first. A.K. Evans managed to pull me into Emme's world and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story. The romance between Emme and Zane was heart melting. Zane was a great hero. The dark undertones of the story were washed away by the shining beacon of light Zane proved to be and the endearing love, support, and protectiveness he showed Emme.
I was already attached to the characters in the first book, but now I feel as though I'm living in their world. My connection to them is much stronger now and I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the next book in the series.
This is the second book in the Everything series. The first book drew me into the lives of Wes, Stone, Zane, Luke, Charley, Emme, Nikki, and Monroe, but was mainly Wes and Charley's story. This second book, delves into Zane and his love, Emme. Best friends, Charley and Emme's story is intertwined by a tragedy which resulted in their reason to move to Rising Sun, Wyoming. Emme blames herself for the events and can't move on from the guilt that is drowning her and continues to haunt her. For Zane, it was love at first sight and he is struggling to help Emme to come to terms and move on. Unfortunately, Emme's past catches up with her in a frightening way. This book will have you crying for Emme and cheering for Zane to give her the love and support she is truly entitled to.
I loved Emme and Zane's story. I do wish this had been broken into 2 parts though since the first half of the book is basically a different POV of Everything I Need (Wes & Charley's book.) I have read this book and series several times. I think Emme and Zane will always be my favorite couple. Zane and his patience. Not pressuring her for more, even though he wanted it. Being there for her through everything. Emme's strength never ceases to amaze me, especially after Zane "steps up" after the note. He took control (in a good/protective way) and did what needed to be done, showing her that she could trust and rely on him. She gives him that control and with his help decides to take back all the light and beauty that her ex stole from her.
If I wasn't already hooked on the Everything Series this book would have sealed the deal. Emme lives life secluded from most others after experiencing a heartbreaking tragedy. Meeting Zane ends up being exactly what she needs to finally open up to someone and start experiencing life again. The relationship they develop is honest, loving, and supportive even throughout the drama and tests they endure. I have read this series several times now because of this book. When I am at a loss to find something new to read this is my go to!!
I chose this rating because this was actually a pretty good book. Enjoy pretty I enjoyed pretty much all of the characters. This was a book of compassion, kindness, determination, acceptance, believing in yourself, and doing what's best for you. I really enjoyed Zane and Emme story. I think the author did a great job with putting these two characters together, I really think they were made for each other because Zane was always there when she needed him and he was very determined. Great read! I recommended this book to all romance readers.
I loved this story of Zane and Emme!! She has been hurt so badly and all Zane wants to do is protect and love Emme. Her walls are so high. But her psycho ex comes back and finds her. Zane's brothers own a security firm and they try to protect them both. One night Seth, her ex, kidnaps Emme. But Levi and Cruz get to her before it's too late. I love Zane and Emme together, so perfect for each other. I love this book and series. I highly recommend! I can't wait for Stone and Monroe's story!
I thoroughly enjoyed this 2nd book by this new author, even more than the 1st (Everything I Need) in the Series. My interest in Emma & Zane had already been piqued by the first book and I enjoyed learning about Emma's story & watching their relationship bloom. Although Emma's story is much darker, the author does a great job of bringing light & love into her life while also showing the dark relationships that sometimes exist without our awareness.
Once I’d read the first book I couldn’t wait for this one. So glad I didn’t have to wait. I’m so hooked on these characters. Total hot Aplha’s and an intriguing storyline makes for an exciting and very emotional story. Hard subject to read in places cause the drama is distressing at times but handled in a way that makes you get angry for the heroine. Loved the way Zane loves his Emme, he’s a total badass but a real softie with Emme. Highly recommend this book and series.
I really enjoyed this book and I understand Emme went through A LOT in her short lifetime, but she did a little too much crying and whining for me. Otherwise, I liked the story, I liked how it continued on from the first book and expanded on her story with Zane. Zane is one amazing man and everyone should be so lucky to find someone like him. I am looking forward to the next book with Monroe and Stone!
At first o thought it was a lot of repetitive conversations from the previous book but once you keep teasing and starting seeing Zane and Emme’s relationship develop you get sucked in. The climax of this boat is definitely emotional and while it’s hard to read and picture the events (in a good way), the aftermath is so true to the relationship Zane and Emme have. They way he is with her and how their network comes the other is great to see.
I think I cried from beginning to the VERY END! Emme is the very meaning of strong woman!! And Zane was perfect for her. Patient, protective and kind. Sexy doesn’t hurt either. For someone to treat you like dirt and for another man to come along and treat you like the treasure you are is the essence of this story. Emme had to realize her worth and outrun her fear! I loved this story. It is now my absolute favorite!
Emme and Zane are officially my new favorite AK Evans Couples. This story will shred your heart. It was such an emotional story, but the love Emme was shown by literally everyone will just touch your soul. I especially love how this story picks up where Wes and Charley’s left off, but also tells a little extra that wasn’t share before. I cannot wait to start the next book…it’s already open to chapter one 😆
This was another cute book in the series. I’m glad we got Emme’s story. And I’m glad she finally gave Zane a chance, he is such a genuine good guy. She deserved to have a good guy after everything she went through. Overall a sweet story with a little bit of suspense in it. Can’t wait to read the next one.
Emme and Zane are my favorite couple from The Everything Series. Emme has had a series of traumatic events in her life that have left her scarred. She’s adamantly refused to get close to anyone but her girlfriends and parents. Then comes Zane Cunningham and he bulldozes all her walls. He’ll do anything to protect her from her past, and that her life and heart are safe with him.
I LOVE this whole series and each book is amazing! That said, Everything I Have is my most favorite! I went through every emotion while reading this book! The abuse Emme went through in her previous relationship and the struggles she tries to overcome throughout the book is just incredible! I watched my sister go through physical and mental abuse in a few relationships so I cried throughout this book but it’s worth the read!! You won’t regret reading this whole series!
This book pulled at my heart,Id give it more then 5 stars if I could When she was dealing with not only her abuse but the guilt of Charley brother and the fact she doesnt feel good enough But to find a man who is strong HOT and more then ready to go the distance with her This book was fabulous and then bring in Cunningham series and the Brothers to be there for her true HEROs

Oh Emme you were so sad and thought you didn't deserve to be happy. I knew Zane would be it for you and in so glad you opened your heart to him. No woman should ever be abused or raped or fear for their life. Glad you have all your friends, Zane and his brothers and Levi's team to help you out. So glad you guys got your happily ever after!!
A DNF for me unfortunately. I was looking forward to it, but I think maybe I'm getting too old for stories like this. I just wanted Emme to go to a therapist and not get involved in a relationship less than a year after a major trauma. Kinda killed the mood for me.
This is the 2nd book in the series. Zane and Emme have a lot to get through for their HEA. Warning some scenes could be triggers. Needed to be part of the story though. Good story, lots of adventure.
Second book of the series. First book ended with a cliff hanger (boo) and it took half way through the second book to catch up to where the first book ended. I won't finish the four book series. I have too many other books to read.
Book 2 with Emme and Zane! Trying to work out all Emme’s issues, the author does a great job weaving the tale. Zane is her rock! I love the way all the guys look out for the girls.
The storyline to book 2 was better than the first. It got very slow at times but overall ok. The writing was marginally better, but the short, choppy sentences just makes the flow of the story feel off.
