Bad Boy Done Wrong (Happy Endings Book Club) by Kylie Gilmore Looking to chase away the blues? Kylie Gilmore knows just what to do. Bad Boy Done Wrong follows the perfect script to lighten the heart and brighten up any day. Carrie and Zach turn one little mistake into a hugely irresistible romance. The laughs never stop flowing and the love refuses to quit growing anytime the Happy Endings Book Club is involved. Resistance is futile.
This was a very fun story and I really enjoyed it. It stands alone though some scenes might make more sense if you read the entire series.
This story is about Carrie, the nurse with the ex she dated for 6 years and new character Zach who is Mad’s sorta brother.
Carrie pick Zach up and offers him a wild night not knowing much about him except what he looks like. She wants a bad boy and she thinks she has found him.
Meanwhile Zach is having an identity crisis. He is not a bad boy but a professor who has just ended a long term relationship. His ex called him a lone wolf and so he wants to avoid hurting any females, so he is very anti relationships.
The two are very bad at one night stands. They break one night stands rules all over the place and so Carrie shows Zach her cute sex list, and he helps her do everything on her list but they agree to only two weeks.
This was a really sweet and fun story. Both Zach and Carrie were totally clueless but in the best way. They both are very career oriented since love broke their hearts and it was a lot of fun watching them have a relationship but thinking it’s a fling.
Sweet, sexy, and humorous, good girl / bad boy romance with a not so bad boy and a sexy wish list!
Bad Boy Done Wrong is a sweet, sexy, and humorous, good girl / bad boy romance with a not so bad boy (although he definitely has some wicked tendencies) and a sexy wish list. However, when the sexy wish list is more than exhausted, turns out this temporary fling might not be so easy to give up, making this a wonderful standalone addition to the series.
Zach and Carrie have an instant attraction, and if he just so happens to have all the physical attributes that Carrie’s looking for in her bad boy, well, he's not going to turn her away - which makes a very fun read and instant likability of the characters to the reader. The sizzling connection between them only continues to heat as the book advances as these two strangers with mutual friends grow closer (for fans of the series familiar faces pop up again). Through the dual points of view, the author captures the warring emotions of both characters beautifully as Zach and Carrie battle with what their hearts truly want, especially when in choosing one path, it will mean giving up another one of their dreams.
If you're looking for a well-written, witty, romance set in a small town with wonderfully warm characters definitely give this book and series a read!
*I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
This was different from all the other books I've read from Kylie. She really brought the heat with this one. It's still filled with the humor I have come to expect and love in her books but she really did turn the heat up super high with this one. The chemistry between Carrie and Zach was off the charts.
Carrie was known as the "Good" girl. The Pediatric nurse who just came out of a long-term relationship that left her feeling repressed and rebellious. She wants to make up for six years of sexual repression by making a "wish" list...well let's be honest a sexual wish list. And now she just has to find a bad boy to help her perform each task on this list. One night after her Happy Ending book club meeting she meets Zach. He's tall, dark, handsome, bearded, with broad shoulders in other words, the bad boy she's been looking for. All it took was some liquid courage, a willing Zach and BOOM she had her bad boy. Or did she? Do bad boys cook breakfast for their one night stands the morning after and does he offer to help you carry out all the things on your "wish" list in the next two weeks? Zach is a well respected Professor of Anthropology who is back from living in remote locations in Indonesia. Little did he know that his grown out hair and beard would lead him to be with a beautiful quirky woman. He is more than willing to play the bad boy to help her safely check off each item on her wish list. The last thing he wants is for her to go up to random guys to help her with this list. But at the end of their two week arrangement when feelings get involved who will be hurt the good girl or the bad boy?
Although I loved the heat and the quirky situations these characters found themselves in, I really enjoyed seeing how they found themselves and who they truly were. In turn discovering their true feelings for one another. I loved how their story unfolded and they found their HEA.
This book will have you laughing out loud one minute and reaching for a cold glass of water the next. I'd read Carrie and Zach's story again and again.
I have to admit to loving the spunk of our heroine Carrie Young because she's a modern woman who knows exactly what she wants and she's not afraid to put herself out there to bag a bad boy like Zach, especially after a very long and boring vanilla relationship. She's made a sex wish list; she's ready to experiment in the bedroom and she's totally unapologetic about her mission to find men who are willing to educate her. Who wouldn't want to be free spirited, just like her? With the blessings of her friends in the Happy Endings Book Club, Carrie sets out to find her very own sexual education. She's hits the jackpot when she meets Zach, who is finally back home in Connecticut to catch up with his adopted family, the Campbells, and though he's not a bad boy by any stretch of the imagination he intends to become one for Carrie while he's in town. Their chemistry is off the charts and they both agree up front that there will be scintillating sex without no strings in this temporary relationship. Carrie is happy leading the single life and Zach is leaving the country for a two year fellowship in Singapore. There's no way that this arrangement could get out of hand. Right? Wrong! You will love all the characters in this lighthearted, fun-to-read series that always makes me laugh out loud while it also satisfies the romantic in me. I love everything Kylie Gilmore writes because no one has more fun writing the challenges and the hilarious differences between the sexes like this author does. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.
This is a great addition to the Happy Endings book club series! I was gifted an advance copy of the book and offer here my honest opinion . Carrie has the reputation of being a good girl and has just broken up with her boyfriend who was not what he pretended to be. She is tired of the “good guys” and wants to hook-up with a bad boy to shed her good girl image. So, she creates a wish list of things she will do with a bad boy if she can find one!
Zach is an anthropologist who is on a sabbatical from research in Indonesia and is supposed to be writing a book. As a teenager, he became part of the Campbell clan as a foster child so he is very comfortable as part of the gang. He and Carrie encounter each other in the bar where the gang hangs out and in a case of slightly mistaken identity, Carrie assumes he is a “bad boy” and that is where the fun begins!
In a moment of weakness, she shares her “wish list” with him and they set out to accomplish everything on the list. Zach does not let on who he really is as he enjoys spending time with her and wants to keep her safe from real bad boys who could take advantage of her.
They set a time limit on finishing the list as they both have commitments that will take them away for the next two years. But as the time gets closer to ending their fling, it is evident that it will be harder than they thought to say goodbye.
This is a lighthearted romantic story which I really enjoyed. Characters from the previous books make appearances and the stage is set for the next book in the series. I recommend this book and look forward to seeing what Kylie has in store for Josh and Hailey… who claim to hate each other but do they really???
This was soooo close to being great and then totally fell apart.
I loved Zach - he was smart, sweet, sexy, and was a very well-rounded character. I enjoyed his internal monologues with his anthropology talk, and found his observations pretty damn cute/funny at times.
I thought Carrie started strong, but by the end I couldn’t stand her. I thought she initially was cute, how they met was fun, their initial hookup was great...but then she fell apart. I thought she was childish and only focused on sex, there wasn’t enough communication, and then her reaction to her ex was over the top. Frankly, that whole ex story line was so bloody annoying. 6 years together and you’ve only ever done missionary? Seriously? And you didn’t think to talk about it?? And then saying you’re over it but you sob seeing him with his pregnant fiancee at your parents party (why the hell was he there? The explanation was stupid at best). And to top it off...within days of the freak out she’s professing love back to poor Zach.
And honestly, even the way she wrote her sex wish list was childish. Say “i want oral”, “i want to have shower sex”...stupid hidden meanings are beyond immature. And assuming Zach is a “bad boy” because he has a beard and needs a haircut...don’t get me started on the obviously sheltered life she has if that classifies ANYONE as bad boy. And her reaction to his lie? Over the top and annoying. He could’ve done better.
So overall this could’ve been great and I could have overlooked some of the slightly childish parts, but around 80% it went straight to stupidity and lost me.

What's a girl supposed to do when she finally breaks free from an oppressive six year relationship? One where her ex constantly put her down & told her what to do. She rebels with the first "bad guy"she can find!
Carrie Young is finally free of Edward, her possessive overbearing boyfriend of six years. She's taken a year to "get over" the relationship & decide what she wants. Now she has her wish list & just needs to find her bad boy. Enter Zach Harrison, a professor of anthropology. Just back from Indonesia, Zach hasn't had time to shave or get his hair under control. His appearance is exactly the way Carrie thinks a bad guy should look. Their one night stand was off the charts & Zach convinces Carrie to continue seeing each other until he's taken care of everything on her list.
Kylie Gilmore has given her readers one tremendously hot, funny & sexy story. The characters are perfect for each other. Even when Carrie is trying to connect with a bad guy, she does it safely by checking out the guy first. The supporting characters add additional color & depth. Ally is a hoot! She supports Carrie but also pushes her. While this book is a part of a series, it's because the same group of friends are in them. It can be read as a standalone because it takes one couples story from start to finish. I really enjoyed the witty banter, hit chemistry & family like relationship of the friends. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes their romance on the hot & spicy side!
Bad Boy Done Wrong is another amazing story written by Kylie Gilmore. This is another amazing story, the fifth, in her the Happy Endings Book Club series. I really don’t know how Ms. Gilmore does it. Every time I pick up her newest book thinking she can’t improve on the last one, yet she does, again and again. Kylie's books tend to grab me, not let go until I turn the last page, and then wanting more.
This story reminded me of the nature vs. nurture debate regarding the future of a troubled, at risk child like Zach. He was street savvy but lost until undergoing the Joe Campbell influence and turning his life around. Could he portray a bad boy without revealing who he really was, a professor of archaeology. Creating a wish list to explore her sexual fantasies was one way for Cassie to explore her bad side and Zach wanted to be the one to help Cassie explore her wild side in a safe setting.
Ms. Gilmore is a wonderful story teller and wove a wonderful tale in this book. Her characters are relatable, her writing witty and sometimes downright comical. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I give Bad Boy Done Wrong by Kylie Gilmore 5 Stars. This is book #5 in the Happy Ending Book Club series. This can be read as a standalone but I feel you should read the other four books first just so you can get the back story of all the characters. This book is very well written and has humor throughout the book.
Carrie Young is considered the good girl out of the happy ending book club. After getting out of a controlling relationship she decides to make some changes so when she sets her eyes on Zach Harrison and all his bad boy looks she decides he is exactly what she needs to get over her ex. After an awesome one night stand she figured she would be walking out the door but she walks out to Zach making her breakfast. If he is a bad boy why is he making breakfast?
After one night with Carris Zach’s is no dummy he realizes what type of girl just fell in his lap. He decides if he has to act like a bad boy to keep her he will do what he needs to do but how far will he go? Does he go to far? What happens when the game they are playing turn in to something more? You will have to read it to find out!
What can I say about this book, Kylie outdid herself in this story about Carrie & Zach!! Carrie started her life over after finding her boyfriend of 6 years cheating on her, she makes a list of things she wants to do because with Edward, it was very bland, because he wanted to keep her pure, not that she was a virgin, but he was her first and only what did she know. Now she was ready to let loose, and picks Zach, who's back in town after being away for a long time, to see if he can handle the task of a one night stand! Zach also wants to start fresh though he's waiting for his fellowship to come through then he's back out of town. When he meets Carrie, who's looking for a "bad boy" to full fill her needs, he decides what the heck he'll be leaving soon so he may as well do it! These two have amazing chemistry together, they light up the sheets, and other things! I enjoyed their story so much, I love Kylie's books, can't wait for the next book in the Happy Ending's series! 5+++++ stars for this, you will laugh, fall in love and just enjoy the heck out of Carrie & Zach's story!! Grab it on release day!

Kylie comes up with the best scenarios, especially for each book in this standalone series (but I think you'll enjoy the series better if you read them all!). She gives her characters backstories and throws them into situations that are absolutely delightful to read.
Poor Zach, caught in the right/wrong place at the right/wrong time, depending on how you look at it. He wanted to be what Carrie needed, but wasn't sure his lone-wolf nature would allow it.
Carrie didn't give up, that's for sure! She had a list...not a bucket list or a honey-do list, a more...specialized list. That whole situation made for some funny moments, for sure!
I got to read more about Josh and Hailey (CAN'T WAIT FOR THEIR BOOK!!!), and I'm VERY excited about Ally and Ethan's story! Given Ethan's "reputation," I just know that book is going to be fantastic!!!
(I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)
Wow! I love all of Kylie's books, but this was something else. It starts off steamy, and it doesn't simmer down throughout the story. Zack wants to make Carrie's list a great experience for her, and there's no way in hell is he letting her get the experience anywhere else. He won't be around for feelings to be involved, so no harm done. Carrie wants to fulfill her list of things she's never experienced, and has set her sights on Zach to help her. Once she's completed it, she'll have us everything she could've wished for in the bedroom. Going back to school not long after makes sure that nobody gets in too deep. But things never go that way, do they? Another fantastic read that kept me hooked from the first page until the last, including the sneak peak at Ethan's story!! I can't wait!!! This is more than 5-stars for me.
"He’d been there for her, holding her all night, and then she just left? Did she think that was it? That he’d just slink off, forgotten and thrown away? Nope. Not gonna happen. Not by a long shot."
The wolf came out to play and he was playing for keeps. Hahahaha, well that part snuck up on him after the reality of Zach not being what Carrie just wanted him to be. He was no longer the little bad bad boy from the organized criminals. He was a man who rose above it and became of product of education and drive.
Zach earned Book boyfriend status because he was a protector, a nurturer, and he also observed and put the findings into action. I loved that about him and his academic sweet talk. Poor Carrie soul and heart did not stand a chance.
I was so excited to receive a free arc of Bad Boy Done Wrong, from Kylie Gilmore, to read and review. I have to say the excitement was not misplaced. Kylie gives you a hot story of a repressed woman ready to find out what sex really means, she has a list, with a man who thinks he is destined to be alone for the rest of his life, a lone wolf, and the passion is off the charts. Watching Zach learn that having someone in his space is not always a bad thing, and Carrie learning to trust someone with her passion, is a story worth reading. Add in The Happy Endings Book Club, with all of their opinions, and you have a beautiful love story that will make you laugh and cry. A definite Must read.
What do a nurse and an anthropologist have in common?
Carrie has a sex wish list of all the things she wants to try from the books her book club has read, that he ex wouldn't do. Zach is finally home from Asia and is so sure that he will start writing his book and go and will be going back to Asia.
This is a story of how one bad boy/Professor can help Carrie find herself but also save her and himself from a life without each other, but can they make it work with school and a trip planned to Asia?
Kylie's Clover Park world is so real that you could possibly walk into the Somethings Brewing Cafe and join the girls for the Happy Endings Book club, or maybe have a beer with the guys at Garner's.
Hugely irresistible, sweetly sexy romantic journey that will have you laughing one moment and sweetly sad the next and reaching for a cool drink in the next moment. I adore the Happy endings book club and just want to visit every day just to brighten it!
Zach Harrison is sweet, sexy and gruffly romantic alpha male bad boy professor. Carrie Young is a passionate, sweet and ready for a change hard working nurse. After wasting six years with an controlling ex that cheated on her she is now looking for a wild bad boy to help her experience all she has missed out on over the years. Loved her pickup line at Zach's welcome home party it was as priceless as his reaction. Their chemistry is off the charts. Loved every heart pounding moment.
Carrie has recently gotten out of a long term relationship which left her feeling unfulfilled and repressed sexually. She decides to make a sex wish list and find herself a bad boy to help her check off each item. Zach is an Anthropologist who had just returned form overseas. Hair grown out and a beard, he looks like the quintessential bad boy. Carrie enlists him to help her complete her sexual bucket list. Kylie's fun filled, quirky writing style has hooked me from the first book of hers that I have read. Her characters are fun and relatable. Cameos of other characters from the series add to the fun. Each book can be read independently from each other but I guarantee that you will want to read the rest.
I’m enjoying this series other than being over the Hailey/Josh drama. I feel like there’s way too much build up that will never stand up to the hype by the time they get their story. As a whole it’s a pretty good series but at times there are things breezed over like we’re supposed to already know about it, I’ve decided the author intertwined more than one series. As for this particular book, I rated it a bit lower because there wasn’t much story, the majority of it was just sex and then the transition and progression happened so fast that it was a lot less believable than it could’ve been if more time had been spent on that part of the story instead of the 2 weeks of sex. The up side is that the books seem to be getting shorter and shorter as they go so makes for a pretty quick read.
The good girl and the bad boy....are they really that opposite?
Carrie has a list, and she's on the prowl to find the perfect bad boy to fulfill her wishes. After a disastrous relationship, she knows what she wants and doesn't want.
Right now, she wants bad boy Zach.
No strings attached. No commitment. Both have plans for their lives, and they don't include the other.
Until they do.
Fun, sexy, and swoony, the latest addition to the Happy Endings Book Club makes for a great read! Familiar characters return, adding to the fun. I'm in love with the Campbell family and their friends. I LOVED watching Carrie and Zach realize they are just what the other needed. Very much looking forward to the next book in the series, and I'm craving the story of Josh and Hailey, because in every book, there's more teasing about these two frenemies!
Zach Harrison gets his turn at love in Bad Boy Done Wrong. When Carrie Young leaves the bar with Zach she believes he will give her the full "bad boy" experience, just like in the romance novels she reads. Zach, however, is an anthropologist, not a bad boy. Once he realizes what Carrie is looking for, he decides that he'll be the one she needs, even if it means pretending to be something he's not.
Kylie Gilmore has once again added another winner to the Happy Endings Book Club series. Bad Boy Done Wrong is a fun story about two people we've grown to know through the other books in the series.
This is book five in the Happy Endings Book Club from this talented author and the series just keeps getting better! This time around we get nurse Carrie and honorary Campbell, Zach's story.
Carrie is a good girl who wants some wild in her life and she's got the list to prove it! Zach is back home from "no man's land" and Carrie thinks she's totally found her bad boy! Will there be an chemistry after Carrie's goals are met... twice? Or will they flame out as passionately as they started?
If you are looking for a romance with laughter, quick whit, and characters you cant help but love you are in the right place!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book
Kylie Gilmore has written a witty, hot and steamy book in Bad Boy Done Wronged and it's the 5th book in the Happy Endings Book Club Series. Carrie wants to pickup a bad boy to follow through on her sex list with no emotional ties. Zack is a PhD. who just came back home to write a book, who really isn't a bad boy but will play one for Carrie. They agree to end the relationship when everything on Carrie's list is completed with no emotional ties. Their affair is fun,hot and steamy. I really enjoyed reading about Carrie's and Zack love affair. I highly recommend reading Bad Boy Done Wrong by Kylie Gilmore. I received this book for free for a honest review.
Carrie is done being placed second to her ex-fiance and has a list she wants done with a 'bad boy.' Zach volunteers as her bad boy and withholds exactly what he does. Carrie purposefully avoids asking him and turns the conversation anytime it comes up. Of course, she gets mad at him for no full disclosure. Their relationship is intense and both fail to realize how deep of a connection they make. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Kylie Gilmore does it again ! This series is amazing ! Books can be read as a stand alone or series! The characters are wonderful and are so well developed that you become attached to them! Can't wait for the next book in November! Carrie has an agenda- find a bad boy and catch up on all she missed with her ex! Zach back from being overseas is back at home when Carrie approaches him - neither want a relationship!.... you will love it!!
When an anthropologist professor gets mistaken for a "bad boy" the good times roll! Carrie has a wish list that she comes up with after a long time relationship goes down in flames. Zach is back from the wild sporting beard and long hair. When the hookup that Carrie envisions turns into something more? These two have to work through their problems in order to get what they really want. A great addition to the series! Who's next?
I received this ARC and am voluntarily providing my review. I have been anxiously anticipating this book and it was everything I wanted and then some! Carrie Young is a nurse preparing for grad school and still trying to recover from the damage her ex caused after spending 6 years in a repressive relationship that went know where. She has finally made a decision... and a list. Now she just needs to find herself the perfect 'bad boy' to assist her in fulfilling all her wildest fantasies, and it looks like the perfect man just walked into Garner's Sports Bar and Grill.
Zach Harrison has been away from his home town for several years working and doing research for a book. Now he's back home for awhile and glad to connect with his best friends and surrogate family when a woman walks up to him with a startling proposition he can't turn down. But can an intellectual anthropologist pass himself off as the rugged bad boy this woman thinks he is? What starts out as a one night deal quickly changes when he finds out her intentions.
With neither wanting a long term commitment or relationship it seems this plan meets both their needs. But it isn't long before both are harboring worries about being able walk away at the end of their agreed upon time limit. With secrets and pasts that haunt them both will Carrie and Zach be able to accept happiness and forever love into their lives?
Fantastic read! Its fun, sweet and sexy. It will suck you in from beginning to end. I enjoyed the banter between between them. The chemistry is sizzling and hot. I love all the characters and the humor they bring to the story. It's entertaining and a great addition to the Happy Endings Book Club. This story is not to be missed. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Carrie is not looking for a relationship. Ah has a list and she wants a bad boy to help her out with that list. She finds Zach and figures him to be a bad boy. He decides to help her with the list only he isn’t a bad boy at all. He is an anthropologist professor. Wicked smart but relationship dumb. Together they find a way to make it work. Great story!
