GIRL rejects GOD. GIRL is turned into a COW as punishment. GIRL simply becomes GIRL-COW and learns how to eat grass. GOD is not punished. (page 5)

I found this little work on Tumblr because one of my friends is obsessed with the above quote. If you love mythology-themed works, I think you will enjoy this! TAUROGARCHY is a collection of 8 short poems that are mythology and astrology themed. Two of the poems are structured sort of as plays, like the above quote, which I really liked, personally. The poems are all cohesive and are generally well-structured, though it could maybe use some refinement.

Maddie writes in a similar style to Rupi Kaur and Nayyirah Waheed, though she takes more liberties in her style and her work is constructed with more care than that of Kaur, particularly. Her poetry is very personal and emotionally-charged, with Maddie self-inserting as the bull throughout it. There is always a tinge of intimacy in each of the 8 works and I feel very much as if I am reading Maddie's personal diary, having a look into some part of her mind that I wasn't meant to. It's a very deep affect in her poetry that I enjoyed very much.

The work is available HERE for free.

I follow Maddie's blog and absolutely love their poems! So of course when I realized they had published work I wanted to support! Taurogarchy has a great collection, my only complaint is that I wish it were longer, but I feel like the story really comes together with the length. Glad I got to read :)

I think the only real stand out poem in this small collection was 'unwritten mythology pt 2'. But you can see the foundations for a great poet so I would read more of Maddie's work.
