I feel like every time I write a review for one of the books in this series, I say that it's the most complex one yet. But this one so far, takes the cake. Emily is many things. She's a successful business woman with her own computer company. She's a call girl, working for Sasha. And she's also Lady Emmeline Grimshaw-Flynn. But she's also the black sheep with an impulse control problem that has her using sex as a weapon against her title chasing family.
I could go into the whole Arty/Harry thing, but I won't because that gives away a huge part of the story. But I will say that I absolutely LOVED Arty. And Ryan for that matter. I really couldn't decide which I liked more. The two of them were perfect counterparts to Emily and I couldn't get enough of the way this story moved through the various characters and situations. It really explored every aspect of human sexuality and I found that intriguing and refreshing. I also liked the way things turned out with Vincent. I didn't quite expect that.
All of the characters in this series have a realness to them. They're multifaceted and deep and Emma Jaye has a way of fleshing out natural human emotions and interactions. I seriously cannot get enough of her writing and plan on starting the next book in the series... well, probably today because I don't know if I can wait. If you haven't read this series, you're seriously missing out!

Sexy romp of the rich with plenty of drama and ultimatums

Lady Emmeline Grinshaw-Flynn does not conform to the ideals of society. Aside from riding a motorcycle, not wishing to dress in formal wear and disgracing her family, she’s a, albeit high class, call girl. With the other women with whom she is in business in relationships, the bulk of their clients now fall to her to fulfil and she has to decide where her future lies. Then, at her brother’s engagement party she meets the father of the bride to be, a previous client with peculiar tastes. He has a different proposition for her, keep his younger son occupied and stop her other work, or he will spill the beans and call off the wedding.

This book can be read as a standalone, but it is easier to have a grasp on the backup characters if you have read the earlier books (incidentally all worth your while). While this is a romp of rich people, except for the sweet Ryan, feelings are still genuine, with a dollop of Ms Jaye’s usual angst. There is also plenty of sex, which as always is the right amount of mind-blowing and none of the ridiculous terms and phrases sometimes present in other sexy books.

The only point I was indignant over on Emily’s behalf was a spanking at the hand of a very annoying dom. I was most upset with the pair of onlooking men who did not come to her defence feeling she ‘deserved’ it – no woman ever deserves an unwanted spanking.

Emma Jaye fans will surely enjoy this next instalment, while new fans will not be disappointed.

Emily is easily the most complex character of the girls working for Sasha. Her hidden background means none of her friends can ever know the real Emily, if there is one, as she works both day and night to keep her inner demons at bay. But the past has a way of coming back to haunt you and a chance encounter with a former client sets Emily on a path towards self destruction that only her friends can save her from, if she will let them.

Another good contribution to this series, with sub-plots that add extra spice to the story and enough emotional heartache to make you want to give some characters a hug and others a slap. That kind of reaction can only be generated by a skilled author.

Call Girls #4 follows the struggles of Emily, a born aristocrat, an IT professional by day, call girl by night. The story revolves around her inner struggles when she is blackmailed for her extra curricular activities.
As she is a call girl, you have the inevitable sex scenarios, which are steamy, hot, and well written. As a reader, you can imagine the way she feels during her encounters. And the fact that it actually had a storyline that didn't just include sex was a huge plus. This book is not merely soft core porn with no plot or storyline.
However, I felt bored with the story when it didn't delve into her sex addiction. I felt absolutely zero connection with her. And the story seemed to focus on several main characters and their struggles, though the main purpose of the book was to highlight Emily. Vincent's story, Arty's story, Ryan's story, and Emily's story was just too much for the book. I felt it should've been a longer book to touch on all these characters as it seemed to touch on all of their struggles, not just Emily's.
I felt a disconnection with Emily as well because it discussed her struggles with her sex addiction, separating it from her professional work and her family, but it didn't seem to go into her inner thoughts, her inner turmoil as I tried to connect with her, tried to understand her.
As this is a book in a series, and I have only read the one book, I find that my review may be based on the fact that I have not read the previous books in the series. Maybe Emily is described more in depth in some of the earlier books, in which case it would be a great addition to the series. But, as a stand alone, I just could not connect with the struggling aristocrat.

It’s hard to find good erotica that is also a real read with depth and heart. Emma Jaye delivers this and more. Call Girls 4: Emily Emily (Call girls #4) by Emma Jaye is a novel to be savored. Emily is someone I could meet on the street, she is that real. I enjoyed her journey and wanted more when it ended, the mark of a five star read for me. I enjoyed Arty/Henry and Ryan for Emily, I really did, boy did I hate it when it ended, I so wanted to read a scene between the three of them with Arty giving Ryan the biz! I liked Vincent, then I hated him, then I rather liked him again! This book had me laughing one second, crying the next, then on the edge of my seat. I think I sort of love Brody now, too... I really hated to leave Emily's world. It's intelligent, romantic, thrilling, and dramatic. It's erotica at its finest, unapologetic with a story that makes you feel like you were there, participating, a silent observer. Would I recommend to friends? You bet I would. Would I read this author again? Absolutely.

I am slowly losing interest in this cast of characters. Although their varied backgrounds and personal stories are a bit entertaining, the lengths to which this plot stretched made it hard to finish.

The number of times the twins switched identities was confusing. The premise under which Arty's father was blackmailing Emily seemed flimsy and questionable. The critical scenes aboard the Afterglow - both the initial pseudo-hostage taking of Emily by the three men and the later travel which included her "therapy," felt untenably framed. In both circumstances, I felt Ryan and "Arty" were behaving and speaking in ways inconsistent with their character up to that point. Victor deteriorated into such a villainous character, that the number of pages for which Ryan continued to debate returning to him or accepting the conditions of their separation, made my eyes roll.

And, unfortunately, the typos of missing letters (boa for boat) or entire words missing from sentences increased again to one mistake for every 2-3 pages. Sigh.

This book had me turning the pages – and not just for titillation. It has an exciting story line and well defined and interesting characters.
Emmeline was never happy with her aristocratic title, which she hid when she had her first sexual encounter at the age of fifteen.
She became addicted to sex. This led to her profession as a call girl with Sasha’s elite escort company, which she combined with her IT business. Her relationship with Dr Ryan Brooke started to get complicated when he was escorting her to a party where she met one of the identical twins to whom she had lost her virginity.
Sasha introduced her to Sully and Rissa, who had a BDSM fetish. One of Emmeline’s contacts used and abused the equipment on a friend, without permission.
Consequently, there are some unexpected revelations, leading to an unusual ending. Perhaps there is a sequel in the air?
Four stars from me, but there are some editorial errors which need correcting.

Oh my God. I just finished ‘Emily’ and it is hands down the best of the Call Girls series. Where to start with what I enjoyed? First of all, Emily is a really great character. I loved finding out what she was going to do. I loved how she was so smart and at the same time so passionate. I almost wish there was another book about her to find out how she gets on with things. There is a really interesting secondary story that merges with the main story in a totally cool way. Oh and Missy is in this one - I love her kick-ass attitude and can’t wait to read ‘Missy’ next! The way the bad guys get what’s coming to them is absolutely brilliant. And the hot guys in this book (fans herself) will blow you away - they’re the perfect book boyfriends. If you like a good plot with fascinating and realistic characters, plus some wicked hot sex thrown in then this book is for you. So, why are you still reading this review? Scroll up there and get the book! It’s awesome!!!

I was gifted this book for an honest review.
Emily has strong sexual desires that do not include an emotional side what so ever. Since the age of 15 this side of her takes its toll and ends up getting her idiotic family in somewhat of a pickle. Needless to say the dragon tattoo is hot!
Once several things occur she is very much in need of some counseling and she has two strong willed men to help her with that.

Emily may have been my least favorite of the books so far in this series. It does not take away from the fact the book was greatly written and most definetly deserves a 5 star rating!

Can't wait to dip into Missy to see what she has in store.
There could totally be a Epilogue to all of these stories say 2 years later or even 10 years later. I would love to read about how life took them through the years.

This book begins with some big changes happening within the group of Call Girls that Sasha has pulled together throughout the series. Emily is offered a position of leadership in the group, but after a glimpse into her complicated past and family situation, it’s easy to see why she’s hesitant.
Regardless of her reservations, the past comes back to haunt her, forcing her to make some hard choices about her lifestyle. Like Lucy's story, this one goes a little deeper into some of the challenges a call girl might find themselves up against.
Another complex and fascinating page-turner from Emma Jaye. I'm really enjoying this series and look forward to future sequels. Highly recommended to any reader that enjoys a good contemporary erotic romance.

Thoroughly enjoyable read! The plot and characters were well developed, the writing itself was great and the sex scenes were steamy. Emily is a very confused young lady and while I found her actions self-destructive at times, her friends rally around her in support. I found myself wanting to see where she was five years from now!

While there are other books in this series, this can be read as a stand alone, but I found myself wondering about the other characters in the book and how they came to be, so think I'll go back and read the others in this series.

Well worth your time!

Loved this instalment, Emily is very different from the other girls, in that she's a call girl purely for fun and to feed her sex addiction, rather than for cash.
She has managed to keep her three lives, as a member of the British aristocracy, a call girl and a her own IT business. Things get complicated when her three worlds collide, I don't like giving spoilers, but a certain dragon tattoo on a very tasty young male aristocrat, plus some very hot M/M and M/M/F scenes make this one of the best in the series.

An entertaining exploration of Call Girl Emily's struggles with sex-addiction. The plot did sometimes seem to wander, and with so many twists and turns, in places it became slightly confusing, but, as with previous titles in this series, the characters come to life, and it all got straightened out at the end, so that overall this was an amusing and enjoyable read. It was also good to see some familiar characters making a welcome return, with their stories further developed alongside Emily's.

Book 4 of Call Girls features an engaging cast of characters, and none more than the title character, Emily. A professional woman by day and an escort by night, Emily is a wonderfully layered and conflicted character who is faced with several tough decisions and just as many temptations. Throw in a compelling plot and some steamy sex, and you have a terrific page-turner. Highly recommended.
