Betrayal.

We’ve all experienced it. Naively going through life thinking it won’t happen to us. When it does, it rocks you to the core and infiltrates your body like a virus. You put your trust in someone only to have it ripped to shreds in the blink of an eye. Even I’m guilty of it. Years ago, I stood by – watching – as my friends tortured Annie, the girl I was in love with in high school, never standing up for her. How was I to know that one bet back in high school, between the PITCREW, would come back and haunt me so maliciously.

I’ve since lived my life trying to make up for it. I finally gained the courage to seek out Annie and ask for forgiveness. I just didn’t know she was right under my nose. Under my body. In my bed. With a new look. A new name.

Embyr’s plan was to get revenge on us all, and in the process, she set off a chain of events that would turn our worlds upside down. She conspired to have me fall in love with her and then crush me with the blow. She succeeded, but didn’t realize she would hurt just as much as me.

However, the road to recovery has its twists and turns. If I ever thought my heart would survive – I was mistaken – and if I thought that was the end of the betrayal – I was dead wrong.

This is a stupid story. Casen was a teenage PATHETIC ASSHOLE and is now an adult PATHETIC SELF-RIGHTEOUS ASSHOLE.

I didn't even read the whole story. The man is not a "good" man. He is weak and I don't believe he truly felt sorry for his inaction. Because he never took a good look at himself. He felt good and justified at his friends torturing a girl who he lusted after and her rejection of him. But he never even asked her out, PATHETIC AND SELF-RIGHTEOUS. Now he is doing the same. She is truly a better person, she is able to look at herself and move on doing better. She is a GOOD person and he is still not a truly good man. A good man stands for what is right....he does not walk away after seeing "the one he loves" hurting. He did that to her in high school and now he does it again and again. I do not like Casen at all.

This book was worth the wait!
I fell in love with Casen and Embyr in SEVEN and was dying for the conclusion of their story.
Secrets, lies, deception and KARMA....those are some of the things that they had to wade through in order to end up where they did.
I never seen some of the twists coming and that's a good thing...I did yell at the book a few times...lol.
Casen is still sexy and I think he might have up'd his dirty talking game just a bit. Embyr changed a well for the better I would say.
I mean this one had me in knots a few times, Amy Marie is lucky...LOL
I know can bother her for Trinity's story ( winky face emoji)

Finally...the ending of Casen & Embyr's story. Really enjoyed it. We finally find out who Ian's killer is....though it didn't shock me too much. There were other details revealed in this book. I was a little nervous how Amy Marie was going to take this story and can say I am very happy with how she ended the story.

Now.....a possible story for Trinity??? :)

Wow!!! I can't believe how much more I fell in love with Casen! What a fabulous book!!! I felt the hurt that he felt losing his best friend so tragically and the woman he loves! The mixed feelings he had between loving and hating that he loved Embyr so much. The connection he had to her going way back to high school with Annie was so strong. Their re-connection was so fun. I love the passion they have toward each other. Casen's Mom was awesome!!!

Ian's killer really through me for a loop. The obsession and the jealousy of this person...wow! I felt so many mixed emotions toward him.

I highly recommend this book! Everyone should fall in love with Casen!!!

Ok

It is my first book from this author. It was ok read, predictable. The two characters are well developed and grow throughout the book. The plot although is predictable it has a mixture of stalking, murder, and betrayal. I admit I am not a fan about books as these, so my review is a little biased. I do not mind books about revenge, scorned women or betrayal but murder I do not like to read as a romantic contemporary book. An advise for the author please do not attempt to write mystery book with murder case because to create a criminal it needs a lot of research to profile the suspect and plot over subplot. The author attempted to create a mystery surrounding the murder but really it was no surprise at all of who committed the offense. I gave two because the first book was unlimited kindle edition offer and it ended in a cliffhanger the second book you had to pay. That is very tricky deal from the author that I do not like, my mistake that I did not look at the second book because by principle I wouldn’t read the first book. I probably will not continue to read her books I am afraid her writing is very similar to her other books the author has no creativity to offer.

I loved the twists and turns in Seven and could hardly wait to get my hands on Casen and find out what would happen next.
Things picked up right where they left off like a punch to my gut; all the pain and betrayal flooding in and taking me under.
I had many questions as the story got underway. It felt as if there were still so many secrets that needed to be revealed.
The dance of pain, truth, and forgiveness that took place between Casen and Embyr was so interesting to watch.
This book had it all: a compelling storyline, fabulous characters, suspense and drama, a total shocker, and hot, steamy passion. I loved Casen and thought it was a fantastic continuation of Seven.

Wow!!! This book is full of angst & mystery. What does happen when the truth is revealed.....Well I can't tell u that u have to read this book. Casen is a sexy alpha who figures out that the girl he loves is not completely truthful. The fight, angst & betrayal opens up wounds to make hem decide if their love is worth fighting for. I fell in love with both Embyr & Casen in Seven, but was so crazy trying to see if they could figure out their relationship. This author is fantastic on her character development, angsty plots & sexy steamy scenes with dirty talking alphas!!

Amy is a 1-click must!!!

I really enjoyed Casen and Embyr's story, and I am so glad the author did not end their story as she had originally planned. I would have been devastated. I need my HEA! In the first book, Seven, we were able to see how Embyr was able to try and forgive her tormenters and move on from the past. In Casen, we felt how Casen struggled to forgive Embyr for her lies and try and move on. Casen was blindsided more then once and tries hard to move past all the hurt. Glad they were able to forgive each other and find their happy!!

Not as good as the first book - there were a bit more noticeable grammatical errors that distracted from the storyline. The H, though entitled to feel hurt when he found out truth; was aggravating and slightly hypocritical at times. He wasn’t willing to let things go, cruel to her at time because of her actions. Yet, she was just a product of he and his friends cruel actions, so it shouldn’t be that big a surprise that she was so vengeful.

At least they both got their acts together. I hope we get to see a story about her friend.

CASEN is the second in a two part story. I recommend that you read SEVEN first in order to fully understand what is going on from Embyr's side. Where SEVEN was about revenge, CASEN is about forgiveness...Not just forgiveness of others, but of self. A lesson that both Embyr and Casen need to figure out in order to move on and be happy. This is a wonderful two part series that I highly recommend.

3.5 STARS! Embyr's revenge plan backfires on her when she admits that she has feelings for Casen but can Casen forgive her when he finds out the truth? This story had some twists and turns that I enjoyed, didn't see the end coming.

This was nowhere near as suspenseful as Seven was. I was able to read it quickly, and found it a little emotional, it just really did not capture my overall attention.

Casen in the conclusion of Seven, and I loved the way it was wrapped up! Embyr and Casen continue to have circumstances fighting against them. They have a lot to overcome, but you know they can, and will, do just that. I enjoyed the twists and turns. Embyr and Casen definitely have chemistry jumping off of the page.

Great read!

The last book left us wondering what now?
Well Casen, can't seem to let the past go. His own guilt and his feeling of betrayal, keep him from reaching out to Embyr.
Embyr fell for Casen as much as he fell for her, but they can get past everything?

Embyr has been spending her time apart working on herself to be a better person. To let go of her need for revenge and learn to forgive and move on. To become someone her parents could be proud of.

But these two just can't catch a break. It's one thing after another, and then an ultimate betrayal.

However, their love is stronger than anything that is thrown at them. They have an unusual beginning, but their love is worth it.
I loved this story and hope you do too. The twists and turns will keep you reading late into the night. I will definitely be one-clicking this author in the future.
