Honestly, I never considered journaling as a tool I could use to improve my effectiveness as a parent. However, I'm glad I took the time to read this book. Like most parents, I'm often find myself super busy with balancing everything that has to get done between work and family. Sometimes, this busyness can lead to impatience or frustration when parenting. Recognizing this, I decided to try some of the suggestions of journaling from the book whenever I felt impatient and frustrated. I must admit that the application of this book has helped! Writing down in those moments doesn't immediately solve the frustration, but it has made me more conscious and it's forcing me to think about different ways of parenting to prevent the impatience. Just Write It Down is a great resource!
Just Write It Down was a great overview of journaling. Geared for parents to help cope and deal with the daily struggles of raising kids. I found this book to give great tips and reasons to start a journal. I especially found the extra material she offers helpful for me to get started.
