As the editor of this book, I'm not capable of giving an entirely unbiased review, but I enjoyed the creative process of working on this book with the author.
This book is a worthy read,filled with interesting detail, and an appealing story drawn from the author's family history.

a wonderful book about the early life of a black man growing up in the 30's.

A little simplistic in style, but I enjoyed the story of the struggles of a young black man. Realistic black family life.
