BEACH BRIDES SERIES (Nina)
Twelve friends from the online group, Romantic Hearts Book Club, decide to finally meet in person during a destination Caribbean vacation to beautiful Enchanted Island. While of different ages and stages in life, these ladies have two things in common: 1) they are diehard romantics, and 2) they’ve been let down by love. As a wildly silly dare during the last night on the island, each heroine decides to stuff a note in a bottle addressed to her “dream hero” and cast it out to sea!
Eight months after the bottle toss, veteran Finn Regan meets the woman of his dreams in his Wisconsin hometown. But Nina’s jaded and guy-shy after too many past heartaches—not to mention, she’s only visiting from California. When Finn discovers her fateful message in a bottle, he risks everything at the Veterans Valentine’s Day Auction to convince her a future together is worth opening her heart one last time.
NINA is also connected to Stacey’s Romancing Wisconsin (RW) series, and for those who follow the RW timeline, her story falls in between books 10 & 11. Previous characters from that series are in the book, and Nina and Finn will reappear in future RW books as well. There are no cliffhangers.

Nina doesn't believe in true love and so when she heads to the Carribean with her Online Book Club, and they throw their message in the bottles into the ocean, she writes her list of what she wants in a guy and pops it in the bottle and straight into her suitcase home. Nina works as an aspiring writer and a personal assistant for her best friend who is also a famous actress. While her friend is filming in New Zealand, being from New Zealand, this gave me a little cheer when I read this book, and I was like YAY for NZ. Nina is spending the time at her friend's house in Wisconsin and also has agreed to auction herself in the V-Day's auction at the local resort in exchange for free board, food and unlimited writing time. The thing is her friend is getting renovations done, and the guy in charge is none other than Finn Regan. Nina went to High School with him and had a major crush on Finn, however, he was always the playboy, and she isn't interested in guys that will trample all over her heart. Can Finn show Nina that he has changed and that though he doesn't match all her extreme requirements in a guy as he has found her message in a bottle, between his dog and he they can meet the majority of requirements needed for Nina to love and admit that they are made for one another? If you love true love and romances with a bit of fun and the Message in a Bottle idea, then check out Book #3 in the Beach Brides series - Nina by Stacey Joy Netzel today.

> > Judging a Book by it's Cover < < Pretty young woman standing at the seaside, wearing a classically elegant wedding dress and princess tiara. The cover gives off a wholesome and timeless vibe. The synopsis sounds very interesting and I look forward to reading it!

NINA is the third book in the Beach Brides series where a group of book club friends get together for a tropical vacation and, on a drunken whim, write messages to their soulmates and cast them into the sea in a bottle. That said, this story can completely stand on its own very well, but the other gals from books 1 and 2 are mentioned (Without major spoilers). Finn does not quite meet Nina's criteria and he most certainly was not expected to be staying (and renovating) the house she's supposed to be finding her zen in for the next four weeks. But, he's charming, sweet, and kind. And they work out an agreement that benefits them both. I loved Finn. He was a genuine spokesmodel for "nice guy". Nina is skeptical and sometimes a bit "mean girl". Their chemistry was good, but they were definitely a work-in-progress all the way to the end. The secondary cast was surprisingly plentiful for a story so short and the way that some of the townsfolk were described made me feel like they are part of an already established series that I should be aware of but was not. The plot was entertaining and interesting. Cast dialogue and interaction were strong and believable. The writing style is amazingly smooth and was a true pleasure to read. Most of the conflicts could have been avoided if she'd just have been a little more open and honest, not to mention trusting. She was quick to jump to conclusions, too - most of the time, incorrect ones, then later on finding herself needing to apologize for her words or actions. Predictability was low. The conclusion provided a comfortable implied HEA, but nothing solid and not quite satisfying. Overall, I really recommend the book and the series to those that enjoy sweet, cleaner contemporary stories of shorter length. This would make an excellent beach read. . What’s it About? So this is cute, the set up is that an twelve friends from an online reading group decide to meet up in person on a Caribbean island. Each woman is a romantic at heart but when it comes to their personal lives they’ve all missed the mark at finding Mr. Right. On their last night on the island they do something silly: They each write a note to their dream guy, put it in a bottle and toss it into the sea. Each woman’s story is told in a short novella by a different author to make 12 unique romances. Nina’s story is written by one of my favorite authors, Stacey Joy Netzel and basically Nina’s visiting Wisconsin from California when she runs into veteran Finn Regan who is convinced Nina is the one for him and now has to prove it to her before she leaves for good.
Overall reaction to the story? Nina is a short, sweet, and funny read that can be enjoyed as a standalone story or as part of a connecting set. I loved both characters’ wit and charm, even when they weren’t making the best choices. *cough* Nina *cough* I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it since it does fall on the sweeter/less steamy side of the romance scale and I prefer my romance more heated. There was a real warmth and close knit feeling to this particular story which made sense because the novella is technically part of Netzel’s Romancing Wisconsin series (I’ve got most of the books on my kindle for leisure reading over the summer). Finn has to be my favorite out of the two lead characters though. A wounded veteran who while a little brooding, is mostly fun, sweet, and did I mention totally charming? Sheesh, I admit, I was so jealous of Nina by the end of the story. I want a guy like Finn for myself!! He has a dog for crying out loud! A really cute one named Kismet.
Click It or Skip It? Click It. Nina is a great way to get away from things for a short while.
The Beach Brides series follows twelve friends that met online in the Romantic Hearts Book Club. They decide to meet in person at a resort in the Caribbean. While there, they write messages to their dream heroes, put them in bottles, and toss them into the sea. Nina is the third friend to have her bottle found.
I was cracking up by the time I finished reading the message Nina put in her bottle. So hilarious!! I immediately wanted to know her and knew this was going to be a fun read. And it was! The story is great! I loved the unique take on finding the message in the bottle.
Nina and Finn are thrown together when both are promised the use of a house by different parties. Nina was so determined to get Finn out of the house. It made me smile. She is pretty stubborn, and has built up walls to protect her heart. I loved watching as Finn began to break through some of those walls. And when he finally makes them crumble…be ready to swoon!
I loved the book!! I read it in one sitting. I have been so impressed with the Beach Brides series. I have read the first three now, and each one has been fabulous! I can’t wait to read the rest!
I received a copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.
I am really loving this Beach Bride Series. These are fun books to read. They have held my interest from page one all the way to the end and I have gotten so frustrated when I have had to put them down. Nina's book is just like the others in the fact that once you start you will be fascinated to the end.
Nina is Peyton's Assistant and comes to stay at Peyton's house for some peace and quiet. What her and Peyton doesn't know is the house is not empty like they thought. Peyton had asked Eric to do some remodeling on her house and he has decided to "hire" someone to start it early.
Finn has done some work for Eric and now Finn needed a place to stay for a couple of months and Eric offered to let him stay at Peytons Place for a little while in exchange for work.
Will Nina and Finn find their happy ever after or will they each go their separate ways. Read the book and you won't be disappointed. I received an Advanced Readers Copy and am voluntarily leaving this review
I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review. I love Stacey's writing it's always so heart warming and once again she didn't disappoint.
The premise of this Series sounds like lots of fun, who didn't think about putting a message in a bottle as a kid and throwing it out to see where it landed? I know I did growing up on the coast of Maine.
Can a slightly jaded Nina find her own Prince Charming when she doesn't believe such a man exists? Can a sexy player settle down to just one woman? Can you ever truly go home again?
I loved the story, by the end I was tearing up, of course we know there's going to be a HEA, and it was well worth the read to find out how the story ends.
Nina is another exciting addition to the Beach Brides series. This time the reader is introduced to Nina and Finn's story. Which I just loved. This is the first introduction to Stacey Joy Netzel's writing and it definitely will not be the last. Looking forward to book 4 of the series. 5 stars I received this book from the author, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion
Beach Brides Series NINA (Beach Brides Series #3) by Stacey Joy Netzel The Romantic Hearts Book Club had 12 members and they met on line but decided they needed to meet in person. They chose Enchanted Island in the Caribbean. They were in different stages and of different ages in their lives but they all had been let down by love and were totally romantics. They each wrote a note on their last night on the island and put it into a bottle and cast it out to sea! To hopefully find a dream hero! Nina is set in a small town in Wisconsin during the winter, around Valentine’s Day. Big change for Nina who is from California. Finn Regan has been asked to remodel a house. No problem, right? Nina’s friend the home owner said sure she can stay in her house in Wisconsin. No problem again, right? It is when just happens to be at the same time. After much discussion about the living conditions they finally settle on a workable plan. He will do remodeling during certain hours, and she will work on her screen play during certain hours. Oh, and Finn has a dog also. Finn’s dog plays a very important part later in the story. You will have to wait to find out what that is. Nina has allowed herself to be part of a Veterans Valentine’s Day Auction. At this point neither reveals that they each are interested in each other. Nina is jaded and guy-shy and Finn has a closed heart after all. Nina never tossed her bottle, she has it in her suitcase that she brought with it. Nina thought the bottle tossing as silly. Well that is enough of the hints and story line now you must read the book. You will not be disappointed. If you love it like I then you must also read Stacey Joy Netzel’s series Romancing Wisconsin where Nina and her friends are also characters in the series. I love Stacey’s writing style and are drawn to her books, also cause I live in Wisconsin and cool to read books that mentions cities that you know. Beach Brides series is wonderful and Nina’s story is a wonderful addition. Enjoy!
Nina: Beach Brides Book 3 is Stacy Joy Netzel. This third book is good but not quite as good as the first two. It is still fun to read and takes little time to do so. These novellas are definitely escapism. Nina Delveaux is sure that true romance doesn’t exist and thinks it kind of stupid to put a note in a bottle and hope to find a good man. First, it wouldn’t work and second, there weren’t any good men left. So, Nina just pretended to throw hers and put it in her suitcase and forgot about it. After working in Los Angeles for years, she was convinced of this. Luckily her boss, Peyton Riley, Nina was tied to her job. It helped that Peyton was a friend and that she encouraged Nina to continue to write plays and try to get them made. Nina had to finish the screenplay she was working on so while Peyton was in Australia, she told Nina to use her home in Pulaski, Wisconsin. Of course, the use of the home came with a small job. She would replace Peyton in the annual Valentine auction for charity for Veterans. She would be auctioned off for a Valentine’s date. Why she would agree, Nina would never understand. But now she was here. She was here at Peyton’s house as was Finn Regan and his dog, Kismet! Finn had been hired by her brother to redo her house. He was to come later; but Peyton’s brother talked him into coming early. So, Finn was here to redo the house and live in the house as he worked. How would Nina ever get anything done with all the renovation noise, not to mention the distraction of Finn himself? Then, with the help of a snoopy dog and a misplaced bottle, Finn finds the note in the bottle. What will he and Nina do now?
12 members of the Romantic Hearts Book Club met in the Caribbean and decided to write messages to their dream hero, put them in a bottle and tossed them into the sea, and this third book is Nina's story. Nina is so jaded about love she only pretended to toss her bottle with her friends because the list she wrote inside was so specific and impossible to be met there was no way it was going to come true anyway, so why should she bother? Ah, but there is no standing in the way of true love, so the bottle gets a little bit of help from a sweet pup named Kismet. Isn't that just perfect? This novella is sweet, funny and quite entertaining, as all of the selections have been so far. And the bonus for Stacey Joy Netzel fans is that these characters already star in one of her current series so I'm anxious to check out her other books, too. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.
I am enjoying this series. Next up is Nina Delveaux. She has made a list of requirements for her forever guy. She knows that it is impossible. She no longer believes in love. She also never put her message in the bottle to sea. Finn Reagan is a wounded warrior. He is home recovering but wants to work. There was a mix up. Peyton gave Nina the house to write peacefully. Eric, Peyton's brother decided to up the remodel date. With the help of Finn's dog Kismet, barriers are coming down. Can Finn live up to all of Nina's requirements? Fun read!
Nina doesn't actually throw her bottle because she doesn't believe it will work out for her. Love her note though. She meets Finn at her friend's cabin. His dog Kismet is funny and likes to take stuff. They actually knew each other growing up. The cabin is in the town where she grew up. They are so cute together. Love their ups and downs and definitely love the ending. Another cute Beach Bride story.
Nina was looking forward to a month by herself in Wisconsin so she could write. She didn't expect to be woken up by a strange man and his dog. Turns out she knew the guy from high school and is not happy to discover that Finn is also sharing the house with her. Such is the beginning for another member of the online romance club. A very easy and enjoyable book.
I loved Nina's book a little twist to the first two in this series as she never threw her bottle in the ocean...but is found anyway. Love story that unfolded in a fun but sometimes frustrating way. Love Finn and Nina and want to read more about this fun town in Wisconsin.
This is a wonderful clean book, part of Beach Brides Series!
This is book 3 of the Beach Brides Series. The books can be read in any order. I love Nina & Finn's story. Stacey Joy Netzel writes believable characters. This book left me wanting to know more of Nina & Finn's story.!!!!
I may be partial though. Stacey let her readers "help" with this book and it was a brilliant idea! I loved the twist and how that, I should know you, feeling comes in play. If you weren't a fan before, you will be with this read. Thank you, Stacey! It was perfect!
Sweet story continuing the Beach Brides Series. Loved the snarky "personal ad" and the element brought in because is the silly dog. I also enjoyed the aspect of the veteran and not being able to imagine what they experience. Her ability to help someone in pain was an amazing part of the story I wasn't expecting. Definitely a heartwarming read.
Finn and Nina reunite again after a mix up one night. Both are scheduled to be part of a Veterans Valentine's auction but before they can get to the auction, Nina thinks Finn is not interested in her. Will these two find each other For a HEA or will they miss out on true love?
Two old school acquaintances reunite years later. Although there is an attraction, she is a little jaded and butter about any type of relationship. As their friendship develops, there are many hurdles to overcome. Cute and entertaining short story with many little twists and surprises.
I liked the way their romance slowly built. I like that he had a plan in place to secure the date with her, even if it went unused. I hope to read more about his siblings.
A sweet story that allows the reader to enjoy the strengths and insecurities of Nina. It has some humour and lots of interaction between the characters.
Nina by Stacey Joy Netzel is the third book in the Beach Brides series and narrates the story of Nina and her dream hero, veteran Finn Regan. I am immensely enjoying this series and cant stop raving about the beautiful romances each book in this series brings to us. Having read the previous books, I jumped right into this one and wow! I loved each second spent reading it.
Despite being part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone story. All books in the Beach Brides series are separate romances featuring the individual stories of twelve friends who, on a dare, each threw a message in a bottle for their dream hero.
The cover is very pretty and the blurb intriguing. Each cover that I have come across for the Beach Brides series books, they are all captivating and sure to attract readers like me who most often take their first stock of books based on the covers.
I have to confess, I have a soft spot for army men and Finn, a wounded veteran, here is the perfect romance hero with his charm, strength of character, responsible nature and a heart of gold. Right from the first moment I loved him and as the story progressed, he kept endearing himself to me more and more. He is the perfect mix of a brooding, vulnerable yet headstrong hero who keeps a strong front but often hides deep wounds in his heart and when he decides on something, he gives his everything to get it.
Nina symbolizes the modern woman, independent and strong. She has been hurt in the past and is gun-shy but it was most entertaining watching her fall in love with Finn but deny her feelings.
The narration is fluid and well paced. The author's writing style is engaging and she gives the readers many memorable moments. I loved how the story had me smiling, laughing and feeling the romance all through.
All in all, Nina by Stacey Joy Netzel is a sweet, funny, clean and heartwarming romance that has well developed characters and a story that left me oh so giddy in my satisfaction at seeing my favourite protagonists get their happily-ever-after and also left me wanting to read the other books in this series as well the other books by Stacey Joy Netzel. 4.5 stars out of 5 to it and strongly recommended to everyone. Go read this book and the Beach Brides series. They are not to be missed!
An online book club called Romantic Hearts Book Club has been formed by twelve women . They will meet in person on a Caribbean Island. Each one of the twelve writes a note to their dream hero. They slip the note into each one's own empty wine bottle, cork them then throw them into the sea!!! There are twelve books and twelve authors included in this Beach Brides Series. Each book can be read as a stand alone. Stacey Joy Netzel writes an interesting, involved and entertaining story in the third book of The Beach Brides series title " Nina ". Nina Delveaux live in Los Angeles. She accompanied her online book club to the Enchanted Island. But does she throw her wine bottle with the note into the water on a dare like the others members?? Nina travels to Pulaski, Wisconsin to stay at her boss's home and to attend a Valentine's Veteran's Auction. The auction is being held to help Veterans. Nina is stepping in for her boss who is on location shooting a film. Boy, is she surprised when a black, brown and white Australian Shepherd arrives in the bedroom to wake her up. The dog is name Kismet and has one blue eye and one brown eye. Nina was under the impression she would be alone in the house to write a screenplay. The dog belongs to a wounded veteran, Finn Regan. Finn is working for her boss's brother who was scheduled later in the year to take on remodeling parts of the house. The brother decided that Finn should start now plus live there until the place Finn has bought is ready. What a situation that has developed? Will they share the house or will the spark between Nina and Finn be too much for Nina to handle ?? The story has good development with smooth writing. The characters are well created, interesting and very entertaining. Get ready as this story will sweep you into a wonderful situation that will appeal to everyone. I highly recommend this book!!! I volunteered to read " Nina". Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.
While vacationing in the Caribbean with her online book club friends, Nina and the others decide to send notes in bottles and toss them to sea with the hope of each woman finding her true love. Nina doesn’t tell the others that she has not only listed impossible criteria in her note, but she also never tossed her bottle to sea. Instead, she uses it as inspiration for her writing. But while on a much-needed getaway to work on said writing and doing a stint in a local Veteran’s Valentine’s Day Auction as a favor for her best friend, Nina runs into Finn Regan, the boy she had a crush on in high school. The problem is, he doesn’t remember her, and unfortunately, she remembers all too well the reputation he had with the ladies in high school. Can he convince her that he’s a changed man? Or will she be forever convinced that he’s only a womanizer…. This was a wonderful addition to the Beach Brides Series. I thoroughly enjoyed the history that Finn and Nina shared. Both were really likeable characters, and Finn was delightfully appealing. I especially enjoyed seeing how/if Nina was going to find a man that met all of her impossible criteria. I was finished with the story in a couple hours, just flying right through it since it’s an incredibly easy and quick read. I have not been disappointed with a single book in this series and this one is no exception. It adds its own unique twist to the common thread that runs throughout each of the stories and definitely doesn’t disappoint. This was a well-written, enjoyable read and I highly recommend it. (I received and advance copy of the book. However, I volunteered to write a review. All of the above opinions are entirely my own.)
As I have already mentioned, I am loving the Beach Brides series. I just love the premise. Nina's story is #3 Nina's story is a little different, in that she's the big skeptic. Cynical about love. And doesn't toss her bottle, as the other ladies. But her story is no less charming. Having been burned by love more than once, Nina Delveaux, the cynic of the lonely heart's club friends, concocts a message so elaborate, no man could possibly live up to it. Then, instead of tossing it out to sea like the other ladies, keeps her message and bottle. Later, she meets Finn Regan and his Australian Shepard Kismet, when he literally shows up at her bedside. There's been a mix up/ miscommunication and both are scheduled to be at the same house. Nina needs peace and quiet to write her screenplay. Finn to do renovations. They soon realize they are already acquainted. Finn is the HS 'player' that Goth chick Nina had a crush on. Now he's back home after being injured overseas. While Nina is back home to work on a screenplay and take her actress friend's place in the local charity auction. I !loved Finn and Nina. I think Finn has to be my favorite beach brides hero, so far. You'll discover why once you read it. But so far, ALL of the hero's and heroine's have great chemistry. And not giving any thing away, but this Nina has one of the best HEA scenes I've read. It's right up there. Finn is just swoon worthy. Of course, I loved Kismet. Can't wait to read the rest.
This is a lovely story of two people finding their true love. Nina is disillusioned with the opposite sex after failed relationships and believes there is no one meant just for her. After a trip to meet up with her fellow online book club members where they all write a message to the man of their dreams. They all are supposed to throw it out to sea in a bottle but something holds Nina back and only pretends to set hers free. Her work takes her back to her childhood town where she has to fulfil a promise to her best friend and employer. There she meets the man she had a crush on as a teenager. Finn was in the army and had to leave to due to an injury, he is now back in his hometown. Nina and Finn due to circumstances meet again and start on a journey getting to know one another whilst they fall in love however unwillingly on Ninas part. The path as always is rocky and due to stubbornness and misunderstanding they nearly miss their chance. The story is a wonderful escape and a reminder that love comes along in its own time and usually when unexpected. I would recommend this great book to anyone who likes a heart warming well written story. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book is part 3 of a 12 book series called “Beach Brides” each different author has written their book based on a vacation of 12 Book Club friends on a Caribbean holiday. Each member casts a message bottle out to sea in their search for their dream heroes. This book picks up 8 months after the Caribbean holiday in which Nina did not throw her bottle into the sea. But will she find her hero when she goes back to her high school town to say at her boss’s and best friend’s house for a month? Finn Regan is a returned injured veteran who went to school with Nina. Nina thought she had the house to herself but find her old high school crush Finn living in the house. How will these two get along 10 years later? Will Nina go through with the promise she makes her best friend? I found this book very entertaining and Nina’s message in her bottle was just hilarious. This is my first book of the series and the first one of Stacey Joy Netzel I have read. Her style is fun to read and her characters are very suited to each other. I would highly recommend this book and the series, as I will be reading more of both author and beach brides in the future. I received a free copy of the book and have voluntarily written an honest review.
Nina is book 3 of the twelve romance book club members that put a message in a bottle and threw it into the ocean. They are all die hard romantics that for one reason or another have never met Mr. Right. Nina commits to house sitting her movie star bosses house in Wisconsin. She arrives in a snow storm late at night tired and cold. She walks into the house and plops down in the first bedroom she finds, snuggles under the covers and sleeps. She is woken by something trying to "dig" her out of her warm bed. When she sits up she sees the broad shoulders of a man in her door way standing with his dog...
Finn Ragen was hired by the movie stars brother to help with the reno on her house. When he wakes to find he isn't alone in the house anymore he goes to check it out and comes upon the sleeping woman of his dreams. A romantic read from the awesome Stacey Joy Netzel. The conflict and love between Nina and Finn is so much fun to read. I really enjoyed this story. I highly recommend this and the whole series which I am looking forward to reading the rest of the 12 novels. An awesome beach read.
