A Dragon Hunter for me? No way.

Olivia thinks it's impossible that the outrageously tall Zmaj with steely blue eyes would fall for her. A former data analyst, now she's just another human crash survivor on the harsh and alien desert planet. Smart, curvaceous Olivia doesn't feel like she measures up but that doesn't stop Ragnar from eyeing her luscious curves.

He's the best hunter for the Tribe, driven and single minded. Ragnar has always put the needs of his people over his own and never once regretted it, but now the dominant alpha male has his heart set on a different treasure. He'll claim and protect the voluptuous beauty no matter the costs.

Life on Tajss is hard enough but now the Tribe is on the run from the same pirates that crashed Olivia's ship. To find a new home will be a grueling journey through sandstorms and worse. She and Ragnar don't speak the same language but Olivia ends up falling for the alien dragon-man anyway, finding she might have to choose between the mate she's meant for and the people she belongs to.

Dragon's Kiss is the fifth book in the Red Planet Dragons of Tajss series! It contains barbaric alien-dragon men, action-packed struggle for survival, and hot, steamy dragon romance. Enjoy!

[for Series]
I’ve found a new crack obsession. My definition of crack is a crazy premise, an alien hero (different color and/or unusual appendages are a MUST), a tried and true romance formula and a fascinating ‘verse that captures my interest. Boy, has the Dragons of Tajss delivered. Does it have its flaws? Yep. Do I give a flying zemjla? Nope, not even a little bit.

A mishmash of different fantasy/sci-fi components that we’ve seen in shows from Dr. Who to Beetlejuice, this is a series that goes for some serious issues like xenophobia, racism, etc. and there’s danger everywhere, but it’s the details that tend to make me giggle. There’s a generation ship that is hurtling through space, minding its own business, when it is attacked by space pirates and crash lands on a planet called Tajss. Everything, and I mean everything, is designed to kill and/or eat you, not necessarily in that order. It’s hot AF so the human body is NOT designed to survive on this planet.

For example, there’s an ongoing debate between the Star Wars vs. Star Trek fans, Dr. Who references galore and a big worm-y thing that will kill you but all I could picture was this:
description

Basically, all the fixins for a cracky kind of sci-fi rom read. This will appeal to fans of the Ice Planet Barbarians-type of romances. If that’s your jam, get a taste of this Zmaj jelly. I think you’ll like it.

BOOK SPECIFIC Review:
Olivia and Ragnar. The BBW and the Zmaj entry in this series. It was a throwback to the first book as far as plotting and the dangers of the planet, yet the continuing saga between the xenophobic Humans First idiots and the ZmajPodge of human/alien couples kept me invested.

Dual POVs.
Neither hero(Ragnar) or heroine(Olivia) are virgins.
Fated mates trope.
Happy ending.

-1.5 stars 🚨SPOILER ALERT🚨

False advertising of the book’s cover page. Olivia(the heroine) is described as a “curvy” girl in the book, not just any curvy girl but curvy enough to consider walking uphill to be a too much of a strenuous activity. (And the book won’t let you forget it either.)

Olivia as a character is the textbook definition of Mary Sue. She’s a data analyst. (Her spaceship crashed so…)

She’s physically unfit (even more so than other girls) for long distance travel and or any physical labor. (The book tells you this every time she has to speed walk or travel long distance.)

She has negative survival skills. (Been in spaceship her whole life, doesn’t know how to start a fire, doesn’t know how to cook.)

Her tragic back story is that all her “friends and families” died during the spaceship crash and post crash when raiders invaded. This brief “grief” only lets for 2 pages. So it barely shown any significance. 🤦‍♀️

She gives mixed signals to Ragnar. Yes there was initial attraction between the two of them, but she’s quite wishy washy due to her insecurities of her “curves.”

For the whole 4/5 of the book, they had a language barrier. But that doesn’t stop them from smashing 3/5 in after their 2nd life or death situation. (Where Ragnar saves her curvy ass again.)

Honestly if it wasn’t for the “fated mate” bond, I do not see what Ragnar would desire in her. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Maybe more cushion for the pushin’? They do have a lack of females. And the Zmaj are quite isolated.

I only gave 3.5 stars cause I have a size kink. 😉
Ragnar is a 7”0 big hunk of an alien dragon stud muffin ❤️
The fact that they’re more primal due to their Bijass is just so MmmmMMM!
He’s possessive, caring, has two 🍆 s, and his muscles have muscles.

I read this book first instead of in order.

Olivia is a data analyst, dammit, not a survival expert! She is not cut out for sweltering hot, alien worlds! But with the rest of the surviving crew members she is doing her best to survive on this weird planet. When her group of survivors are visited by strangers, she is pulled inexorably to the tall, tailed Ragnar. She feels she keeps making a prat of herself in his presence, there is no way someone that hot is interested in little ole her. She can't even talk to him due to the language barrier.

Ragnar has found his treasure. He will do everything in his power to keep Olivia safe. They might not be able to talk but body language has a definite place in this relationship! As they make their way towards the Zmaj city that the other survivors have made home, they get a nasty surprise on their arrival, Ladon won't let them in!

But with the wily women that the Zmaj have mated on their side, Olivia and the others won't be left out in the heat for too long!

I loved the instalanguage comp! I could do with one of them myself. Ragnar is sweetly domineering and possessive but would do anything to keep Olivia safe. Olivia feels like she is unworthy of the hotness that is Ragnar but under his care, she slowly recognises herself as one kick but leader!

Dragon's Kiss
Red Planet Dragons of Tajss Book 5
by Miranda Martin, Juno Wells
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
OMG! I am enjoying this Red planet DRAGON series, its a Fabulous read! What a FANTASTIC story! It's such a impressive, awesome and charming story. It's the fifth book in this FANTASTIC series and it's another story that has a great flow which is fast becoming one of my favorite series to read. it's full of drama, passion, action, sensual scenes, humor and I am enjoying every page. Canyou imagine a seven feet tall handsome, blue eye Zmaj that's a hot steamy dragon hunter. This is Olivia and Ragnar story. All I can say is each story gets better and better. The series is a uniquely Set of stories that's PRICELESS! As I've said before Miranda and Juno are two awesome, talented writers who can create some fantastic worlds and characters. Their scene description are well developed that's totally sensual and fascinating, their storytelling puts me on the edge of my seat and so enthralled and involve with everything. Miranda and Juno are doing such amazing job that they make’s you enjoy reading every book in this series. Ragnar and Olivia chemistry and tension is so amazing with dragon's fire that's scorching hot. Ragnar and every other dragon is very possessive of his mate. He feels so much frustration because of his inability to communicate with his treasure. Olivia is a former data analyst, she is out of shape and the most curviest woman in their group, besides the fact she is sexually attracted to Ragnar! Ragnar and Olivia is fun and pleasurable to read. Their dialogue along with the sexual chemistry, tension and sparks is exciting. They are smoking HOT together, their romance had me glued to my reader. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Its exhilarating, sensational, fantastic and you'll fall in love with love! You'll want buy this series of books you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this book. It's worth every penny. I voluntarily reviewed this book. Because I like sharing my thoughts with my fellow readers.

I’m done with this series, they have gotten really boring it hard to get through it even with the spice which I usually love.

The book was about another female human mating with a dragon like alien. She constantly puts herself down talking about not being the prettiest, fittest or smartest which is very annoying.

The entire book was basically them travelling from one side of the planet to another to get to the dome city but then they are not let inside so they set up their own home somewhere near by.

The human man who has caused so much trouble, I’m annoyed they will do nothing to
Stop the unease he causes in the city. He doesn’t even hunt or provide all he does it stir up trouble.

I’m bored & frustrated with this series so I’m done and moving onto something else!

I read this through KU. It seems there has been another bump in the series road. This book has so many great things but also so many flaws.

****SPOILERS****

I loved the idea of the long trek through the red sands. The mains were interesting and somewhat deep. I loved the idea of a Zmaj group living and thriving together.

However, I had hoped for some new flora and fauna to appear. Alas.

There are massive editing errors. At one point it was something on every page. Typically it is a correctly spelled word that is just wrong - "wing" instead of "wind," "they" instead of "the," plural instead of singular - you know, the type of error that happens after using a spell-check program. It is very annoying and makes this book difficult to read.

*****SPOILERS*****

Perhaps worst of all are the glaring continuity errors. (1) all 4 prior books have the Zmaj healing salve made with cvet leaf juice and powdered sismis claws. This book uses sismis teeth and talks about how they fall out and regrow. (2) After the sand storm Ragnar says he was unarmed but when he needed to kill a cvet he suddenly had a spear. (3) Ladon's persona suddenly changed to be super petty. Supposedly Zmaj living together, especially with humans, helps them fight the bijas. Ladon has had guest Zmaj and humans for at least 13 months (his baby had been born a while ago) but still struggles tremendously with the bijas. (4) The humans from the 2nd ship site as well as the tribe, who have no botanists mind you, have already begun trying to farm (or have already succeeded) when the actual botanists from the 4 prior books have not been able to do so. (5) The author suddenly introduced the idea that the Tribe had cleansed themselves of the epis when 4 prior books said it was impossible and resulted in death. The author drops this bomb and then never explains how it was possible.

Finally, the male humans are so non-fleshed-out that it seems like all the male humans have sided with Gershon. Surely some of them would support the Zmaj or at least pretend to support them. Btw, how are any of his followers still alive anyway? They don't ingest the epis and we are constantly shown that humans need epis after just a few days or the planet's heat would kill them.

Hence, 3 stars.

Steamy alien romance - Highly recommend this series!!

For adults only (18+ years or older) Contains some situations that may be triggers or offensive to some, including adult language, steamy intimate scenes, and violence (kidnapping, fighting, killing alien animals). If you are sensitive to any of these subjects, then this may not be the book or series for you.

It had been a while since I had read any of this series, but never forgot the premise despite having read a lot of stories since. This is the story of Ragnar and Olivia. He is from the valley that was found by some of the survivors in a previous book. Olivia was part of the generation ship that crashed on the planet. She doesn't have much self-esteem because of her size. She was an analyst on the ship and loves to find patterns in things. Olivia is not sure how that is going to allow her to contribute, especially since she is struggling to keep up with the others on a physical level. Then she meets Ragnar and the attraction seems to be immediate for both of them, but neither speaks the language of the other, and they are still trying to determine where all of them are going to live in the future. A move is necessary since the slave traders discovered the valley and there is no easy way for them to defend it. Hopefully they can find somewhere as long as all of the things on the planet don't find a way to kill them first.

I highly recommend that the series be read in order to fully understand the characters, environmental risk and the edicts that the Zmaj in the valley manage to live by and control their more primitive nature, the domed city, etc.

Lots of Drama, good story, needs to be edited.

First off, I love this author's stories. I love how well she writes romance, drama, adventure, and spicy scenes. But the typos, confusing sentences and inconsistency can reeeeally get to me, making me not want to buy these books. It seems like these were written a while ago, so I don't really understand why they haven't been edited yet. Anyways, here's my notes for this book:

For some reason Olivia was surprised to see an oasis, when it literally says, in the beginning, that she was captured getting wood from an oasis (even though, in the previous book, she was captured on the outskirts of the ship cuz Lana could see the ship through the door as she was getting captured. And it didn't sound like she saw it from far away.) Also, they kiss for the second time and act like its their first. In the last book, Lana could only go maybe 4-5 days without epis and went through withdrawals on day 2. Not only did none of the other girls have the same issue, but in this book, this girl goes what seems over a week without needing even a faded supply, where as Lana had to munch on her single epis like every few hours from day one.
The other issue I had was that, or was confused about was:

SPOILER

How could they make their home in the epis caves when even the slightest noise can cause the worms to erupt from the floor? And in the first one, just harvesting the Epis caused a worm to appear.

***I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

What a sweet and fun book! Humans crash land on a red, inhospitable, desert planet. The native population are dragon like humanoids and their males are at least 7 feet of dangerous, dominating, alien adonis'. The Zmaj language barrier is a major stumbling block for interacting with their protectors and saviors. The curviest and out of shape Olivia is strongly attracted to Ragnar as he is also attracted to her. Frustration with their inability to communicate with each other makes things hard for the two star-crossed would be lovers. Olivia, Ragnar, the other survivors, and the rest of the Tribe are going to face a number of challenges before they can become settled and secure.

Ms. Martin has done a great job creating and depicting the Red Plant of Tajss. The characters are interesting, fun, and vivid. This was the first book in the series that I've read but I will be readings the other books in the series. I'll also be looking forward to future books in this series. Read about the frustrations, dangers, and romances of the crash survivors and the gorgeous native male population.

Human, data analyst and crash survivor Olivia thinks it is impossible for a tall Zmaj with steely blue eyes to fall for her. She is smart and curvacious but she doesn't feel that she measures up against some of the other humans. Ragnar is the best hunter for the Tribe which means that he is driven and single-minded. While he has always put the needs of his people over his own but he now has his heart set on a different treasure - Olivia - and he'll claim and protect her no matter the cost. In order to find a new home away from the risk of the pirates that originally crashed Olivia's ship, they all have a gruelling journey through sandstorms which is made worse because Olivia and Ragnar do not speak the same language. No matter their differences, Olivia ends up falling for the alien dragon-man but how will she cope when she finds herself with a choice- her people or her mate?

I enjoyed this story with its journey through the desert, the dangers, the storms and the interactions between the different factions of the humans and Zmaj. It certainly set the path for interesting stories going forward as well as in this particular book. An easy read with plenty of danger and drama. Contains explicit sexual content.

Olivia has had confusing time. Her ship was attacked by space pirates, a crash landing on an alien planet, being captured by the pirates and being rescued by dragon men. She is so confused. The dragon men are kind to them but there is no way to communicate directly with them but a fellow human woman pirate captive can talk with them. They all decide to collect the other human survivors and go to the dome city where the other humans and Zmaj are. Upon arriving to the human camp, they discover it up in flames.
Ragnar is a Zmaj who believes Olivia is his mate, his treasure. He will do anything to keep her safe. It is hard to win her without being able to talk. He is willing to go to the dome city because Olivia needs some of the supplies there to survive. On the walk to the city, Ragnar and Olivia get seperated from the rest. Together they must rely on each other to survive. Over time their lack of common words ceases to be a barrier. Ragnar wins his mate.
This is a great book about two people from different worlds getting together. I loved Ragnar's devotion and patience. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my review.

Another great visit to Tajss the desert planet of the Zmag dragon like men. The human women are drawn to them. The Zmaj are very alpha and when they decide you are their treasure look out because they will storm and conquer if necessary. The Tribe is journeying to a dome city upon the recommendations of Lana and Astarot. Olivia is a data analyzer who is so out of her element in that she is not in shape to walk the desert sands, she is drawn to Ragnar yet because she has a poor image of herself and bad past relationships she doesn't believe he could be in to her as well. Ragnar is a leader of the hunters and he isn't sure that the dome city is where they should go, he believes that because they successfully defending their valley home that it can be done again. Yet when the small hover craft crashes with his treasure inside he goes nuts.

This is just the beginning of Olivia and Ragnar's story. I believe it was beautifully done and cannot wait for my next visit to that heated red planet. I voluntarily read an advance copy.

I received an ARC edition of this book from the author.

I have not read the previous books in this series, and I feel like I should have before I read this book. There is a lot that happens in the previous books that leads up to this book and I was definitely missing those stories.

I'm really glad this book had the dual POV, getting only one character's perspective would have made this story really flat and confusing. The language barrier was interesting, seeing how it worked from both characters perspective helped show the characters develop a connection. Overall, the story was good, I just wish I had more of the background to understand some of the plot points and character development.

Olivia cried over Every. Little. Thing (does she have overactive tear ducts? an emotional imbalance?) but wasn't super annoying about it. She cried at the drop of a hat but pushed through it for the most part. A wet face didn't hold her back too much.

Olivia and Ragnar's relationship escalated pretty quickly without being able to communicate effectively for a good chunk of their time together (though I have to admit that the timeline in some of these books is unclear; one of the ladies is extremely pregnant so SOME time has to have passed). So I supposed my only complaint is that a clearer timeline would be nice.

I'd love for the city dwellers to tell the Humans First movement to GTFO if they don't like the Zmaj. People who are living on the goodwill of aliens they hate should take their whiny asses elsewhere.

This is another feature installment of this series. Just great.
Olivia is a survivor of the shipwreck.
She was in the other half.
She and some of the women have ran across another set of Zmaj known as the Tribe.
They've also run into Lana and Astarot, who've convinced the Tribe to come with them to the settlement under the dome because the area where the Tribe lives has been discovered by the slavers and the settlement is more secure.
Olivia like the women in previous books has a Zmaj admirer in Ragnar.
The problem is there's a huge language barrier sitting between them.
They have Lana and Astarot to translate but it's not enough.
Everything gets crazy when the Tribe arrives at the dome only to be kept out by a territorial Ladon.
Plan B coming up!

Olivia & Ragnar

Olivia I is part of the group of humans that survived the crush landing of their ship in alien planet, a inhospitable hot desert planet filled with dangerous creatures just waiting for a easy meal. Ragnar is a native of the red planet, he is a tall and tailed dragon and just found his treasure, Olivia. In their journey to the City, where others survivors reside, the frustration of not been able to communicate is obvious but so it's the red hot sexual chemistry between them. When in the City, they are pull apart and Olivia will have to fight for what she really wants: her tall red hot dragon. Fantastic read filled with action, adventure and romance. Highly recommended

They just keep getting better
I keep thinking that the last Red Planet Dragons book is the best one yet, and then I read the next one. Ragnar and Olivia find a way to be together even though they don't speak the same language, and it is so sweet. I loved the action in this story. The will to survive and the struggles they face are immense and make you wish things were easier for them, but they are so lovely to read about. I don't know that I would survive half of the stuff that happens to Olivia, so I'm glad I can experience it all through her character in this book. I loved it, can't wait for Delilah's story!

want to thank author

For answering some of the questions I thought was obvious. Like sanitation, food storage.

I still do not understand why the humans (tajss haters or not) would have not gotten straight on it, food dehydration (easy since it is arid dessert) and many other basic survival skills. Including how they would have fuel to burn since it is far from trees. They could I bet burn herd animals droppings. Then there is the T’s city. They have power to some data, must have access to archives of how systems were designed, built, etc. bet they had schools with online video.

This is book #5 of the Red Planet. Olivia is rescued by Astarot and Lana from the pirates and they go to the new colony of where she meets Ragnar. She likes him but doesn't know that he likes her too because they don't understand each others language. The go through trials that bring them closer together and then make their way to the dome whether they meet with hostility. They make a new home close by and she becomes the other human's chief. This book was better because it got to the point instead of repeating itself. I liked it a lot better.

I love this series! Olivia and Ragnar learn to work together and fall for each other without being able to understand each other. Neither wants to be separated from the other. When the Tribe arrives at the City not all are happy. While the Zmaj work to find a common ground, others work to permanently separate the Zmaj and the humans. I can't wait see where this series is headed. Bring on the next book!

This was a book I could not put down I had to know what would happen next. Would they learn to talk to each other, could he keep her safe, could she help him heal , would they be kept apart? These are the questions this book makes you want answers to ! I think out of all of them so far this has been my favorite . This was a book that was a very late night / early morning read.I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

More Action on the Red Planet

Once again a great installment in this series. Ragnar, our sexy dragon man, pairs up with Olivia, our adorable data nerd. Sparks fly. I really liked this one. You see the combined society begin to develop, which is awesome. And, of course, the romance is smoking hot as well as sweet and heartfelt. I can't wait until a certain character gets a well deserved a** kicking. I'm also looking forward to the hints the author gave for new couples.

Not as good as the last book but that's not saying much the last book was wonderful out of this world. This one is right underneath it. We meet up with a new set of humans from another part of the wrecked ship. As with the other four books, you still touch base with the other characters from other books. looking forward to reading number 6 which I have already ordered

I really like this series overall.. I like the characters, plot, politics and the love story aspect is always sweet and spicy.
Sometimes Certain things throw me off though bcuz it will feel like I'm reading a completely different universe at times? Different words and phrases being used and details from previous books forgotten.
It did add to the story overall however and set us up for future books.. but there were some issues with consistency.

I love this series! I am so impatient for another book to come out! Engrossed from beginning to end. This one doesn't resolve some unanswered questions. There isn't a cliffhanger but it definitely has you wondering what happens next in their world. Thank you for another great book!

Love love love this series! As always I was engrossed from the start as always with the Dragons of Tajss books. I love how even though the book focuses on one couple we still see the other couples from the previous books. Totally can not wait to see who is involved in the next book of the series and what roadblocks they face. I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it.

Good book

Great read with a good storyline with twist and turns. Love always find a way doesn't matter what races you are, what language you speak and even better not to understand what the person is telling you. Can be very exciting when the feelings and emotions are so right. Lovely storyline good development within the characters, but to short. What happens next?
