Searching for her sister, who ran off with the wrong sort of bad-news guy, Marigold finds herself in a bar on the worst side of town. She wonders again why she's putting so much effort into finding her sister when nothing--even returning their golden child--is going to endear Marigold to her estranged family.
Frustrated yet again by the way she is sidelined in her quest, Marigold pursues a mysterious man whose appearance brings back disturbing memories. Expecting to find him alone and confront him, Marigold follows him out of the bar.
A Fae warrior on the hunt.
Tracking down a missing soldier after finding one of his men dead, Eamonn is also led to the same seedy bar. When his inquiries raise the attention of a gang of thugs, Eamonn finds himself fighting for his life in the dark alley behind the bar.
When Marigold stumbles on the scene in the alley, Eamonn is suddenly fighting for two lives instead of one. But what happens next surprises them both and sends them on a journey where they are forced to work together or die.
Can they become the team they need to be in order to survive?
In this third book, Eamonn and Marigold meet and team up to prevent an invasion by shifters and witches. This causes a great deal of consternation in the fae realm as everyone tries to prevent a war and if not able to do that, to win that war. I loved the action in this book as well as the budding relationship between Eamonn and Marigold. We are given more information about prophecies and what is going on with Calyx. The story is well written, riveting to read. I have also read Book 4 and can't wait for more. Loved this.

This book was a great read, it made me want to look for those prequels that lead to this book (but is optional – can be read without them) Happy that Eamonn is the one to help Marigold with her problem(s) and her family. If you like the paranormal and magic this will be a good read, but be warned this is not you regular witch/werewolf store – there is a little twist in here. Loved the way the Fae world was created, great story and good amount of action. And I loved the King and the Queens banter.
I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review, but everything I write is my own opinion.
Eamonn's Tale #1 - Has a preview, which I appreciate knowing in advance before reading a book. This prequel introduces us to Eamonn and his disgrace. A well written, interesting short story that has more depth than the mention of how Eamonn attained his position in the book, Watcher of the Veil. This is my second story by Ms. Manifold and she's writes interesting stories. 5*
Marigold's Tale #2 - Has a preview, which I appreciate knowing in advance before reading a book. This prequel introduces us to Marigold, a witch, and the story behind her missing sister and the attack against Marigold and her loss. This is the third story I've read by Ms. O'Flynn and she hasn't disappointed me with her writings. 5*
Watchers of the Veil #3 - This is not my first book by O'Flynn and I'm not sure if I've read Manifold previously, but WotV is an excellent read. It is a well written, fast paced suspense with interesting characters and a twisting plot. The book is mesmerizing; if you've ever read J. Hinchey or J. Butcher, you know what I mean - you can't put the book down! I do wish I knew which books/short stories I should have read (listed in book) before reading WotV; I felt like I was missing something, a foundation. But not reading them, didn't take away from this story. The last couple of chapters were a little weak/different from the rest of the story, which while not a cliffhanger, does suggest more is to come. Duh! 5*
Defenders of the Realm #4 - It's been so long since I read Watchers that I forgot some of the storylines, but I did not forget Mother. What a heifer! Like all the rest of the series, there are multiple storylines that move quickly and keep the reader glued to the pages. I missed a couple of cuppas because the story was that good when I went dry. The personalities of the characters, as well as the emotions, run the gamut. Whatever you like/dislike, it's here. The action and behaviors are always realistic and you don't have the stupid formulas that many "authors" copy as their own. This series should be read from the beginning; I couldn't have missed a book since each one is good! I contacted the author to review her books and received this copy through Booksprout. 5*
Ghosts of Witches Past - Ready for more of this author's work. Interesting good and bad characters along with a believable, well-written mystery full of suspense and intrigue. A good read for all ages. This is my first book by this author and I'm hooked. 5*
Having loved the Realm series by Lisa Manifold, I love that this book is connected to it but has a whole new cast of characters. Marigold becomes stronger throughout the story as she learns who she has become. It is interesting to watch her mature. Eamonn is not the typical Fae male and he takes his duties seriously. He finds that he is torn between duty to Marigold and duty to his king. Watching how he blends the two of them makes him the better man in the end. It is interesting to see how the different realms are getting closer and closer with more beings wanting power.
I am hooked on the Realm stories and find this series to be a nice compliment. If you really like a story that just doesn’t end with a trilogy, you will want to look for other books from Lisa Manifold (the Realm Series) and Corinne O’Flynn (the Aumahnee Prophecy series). Also, there are other short stories that are connected. Love exploring worlds with a lot of depth and breadth.
What a great story. This is the first book in this world that I have read and I was hooked by the end of the first chapter. The story open with Marigold looking for her missing younger sister and she ends up at a dive bar and meets Eamonn. I thought the story was well written and just sucked me in. I had to see what would happen next. I thought it was fast paced enough to move the story along. So many questions were raised that need to be answered. Just hints of the overall plan were exposed in this book. I need to keep reading to see what happens next. And it was pretty clean story in terms of battle scenes and Marigold and Eamonn's budding relationship. I loved to hate Marigold's mother. You know she is up to no good. I received a free copy and I loved it. Another new urban fantasy series that will hopefully keep me entertained for awhile.
When Marigold and Eamonn first meet at the bar searching for the same man, it seems like they will never like each other much less work together. But then the unexpected happens and Eamonn has no choice but to help Marigold which speaks to his honourable character. Marigold eventually realizes she owes Eamonn for dropping everything to help her and that they want the same thing. The answer to the mysteries they have stumbled upon. The two form a close friendship as they take on paranormal creatures on both sides of the veil. They get a little closer to figuring out the supernaturals' end game but for every mystery they solve, more are found. This novel is full of twists and turns. This story will surprise you many times over.

I have voluntarily read this collaborative work between Manifold and Flynn as a first time with both. I have to admit I was definitely pleased with this story and the characters within. It makes me want to go back and capture those prequels that have lead into this piece and then continue to watch for more to come since this basically really ends in a cliff hanger. The suspense is killing me, but I’m very happy that Marigold and Eamonn will be facing this together. I highly recommend this for lovers of the paranormal and magic.
There is some interaction from characters in previous books from Manifold with the Heart of the Goblin King. To Wed the Goblin King, and Realms of the Goblin King. All are exceptional books and well worth the time.
"Watchers of the Veil" is an original paranormal story that I couldn't put down . Marigold, a witch looking for her sister, only finds out about shifters and fae after she turns into a wolf. Eamon is the captain of the fae's watchers of the veil and looking for the murderers of his men. Seeing Marigold shift for the first time leaves Eamon honor bound to help her control her shifts and their ensuing attraction seems fated. The werewolves plot against the fae in a fast-paced, action packed read with a touch of romance. An addictive read that leaves you itching for the next book in the series. My voluntary review is based upon a review copy.
I received a review copy of this novel from the author. I had already read the two previous books which introduced the main characters and I was wondering if this book which stars both those characters would live up to promise of those books. It does. It was obvious from the first books that the characters would meet and develop a relationship and a partnership - the only question was whether the relationship and the partnership would be believable, reasonable and enjoyable. They are. Now to see how those develop in the next book.
Watchers of the Veil Is a fast paced, really enjoyable book, the first two books in the series are about the main characters, Eamonn book 1 and Marigold book 2, this book is all action. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down, with Fae, Witches and shifters there is always something happening and the plot was very different and involved for a Paranormal, Urban series, I’d recommend this book to older teens and up. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I thought this book was excellent but I highly recommend you read both Marigolds tale and Eamons tale before reading this book as they provide the background stories to both of their characters. I thought the book was well written and the story and characters were well developed. I loved the characters personalities and traits. The story was excellent. It was full of action, suspense, emotion, intrigue and romance. I’d highly recommend this book!!

This was a great paranormal story, with a wonderful plot. Fast-paced, with a great character developement and wonderfully written in a dual pov, that allows the reader an insight to both hero and heroine. Loved the plot twists, plus the fact that with the more questions answered, more questions arise. Can't wait for the next installment.

It was really great to meet Marigold and Eamonn again and see how they developed and evolved. I like the style that proves to be a really good mixture of the two authors. The story has a lot of twists and the descriptions of the worlds, their difference and how they match too are unique.

Watchers of the Veil (Book 3) by Corinne O'Flynn is a wonderful story to read. This is book number three in this wonderful series that i fell in love with. I love reading about witches and everything about them. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about witches.

Witches, Fae, Shifters oh my. This is a well written, fast paced suspense with interesting characters and a twisting plot. There is enough layers in this book that you just know that there is more to be found out about Marigold and Eamon in books to come.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.
This is the 1st book of the Aumahnee Prophecy Series; it was an interesting story line and I will be going back to read the prequel and then the additional books as they are released.
I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. I loved this! It grabbed me from the first page, kept me til the last and enthralled me in between. Well worth your time to read it.
Great reading from a first time author for me. Marigold is searching for her sister, why she doesn't know. Her estranged family doesn't really care. Received an ARC.
It is fun to explore a new genre. This is an engaging book about the realms of faes, witches and shape shifters. And how love can cross over the realms.
Another fab read. I couldn’t put this one down. Characters were superb again and the storyline star class. Not to be missed. I recieved a copy via Booksprout and this is my honest review
Book 3 in this series doe not disappoint! Still looking for her missing sister, Marigold continues to find trouble, or it finds her! Full of action and twist, Loved it.
Watchers of the Veil I would suggest reading Eamonn’s Tale and Marigold’s Tale before reading this book. Both of which are prequels. It is not completely necessary, but you will understand a lot more of what brought the two together. I am hooked on this series! Manifold and O’Flynn are wonderful story tellers. They have a way of sucking you into the story where you feel the emotions of the characters. Eamonn and Marigold are hilarious together. I love the banter between the two. They compliment each other very well. The story is told with alternating POV, which I love. The reader can get into Eamonn’s and Marigold’s heads that way and have a better sense of what each one is thinking and feeling. By the end of the book some questions are answered. However with each answer more questions are raised. I can’t wait to see where this story goes! I’m ready for the next book!
Marigold, a Vessel Witch, is human, while Eamonn, a Fae warrior, is from the Fae Realm. Fate throws them together in a quest to find Marigold’s sister and the murderer(s) of Eamonn’s Watcher.
I didn’t realize that such a large part of the book would be about shifting (ooh I hope I’m not spoiling anything now. Not saying who or how or why of into what). I liked it, but it was different from what I expected.
I liked the different POV’s, alternating between Marigold and Eamonn. Often with alternating POV’s both are written in a similar style, but here they are really different and that adds to the experience.
I recommend you read the prequels first, especially Marigold’s Tale and Eamonn’s Tale. It will make you understand everything better.
I liked it, but… maybe a bit too much war? And I would have liked a little more magic. And the ending was a bit anticlimactic. I don’t mind continuing stories, and I knew this was part 1 of a series. But to have literally NOTHING resolved? That’s a bit disappointing. I think at least SOMETHING needed to be completed, but everything was left open to the war yet to come.
It had suspense, action, love and more. What will happen to the portals? Will the Wolves and witches get thru? Will Marigold and Eamonn have a life together? Wow this story is getting better.

This was my first read of Lisa Manifold's and my first read in this series but I will definitely go back and read the prequel. I have long been a fan of Corrine O'Flynn. These two authors have written a seamless story- you can not tell who's writing is where in the story. This is not your usual witch/werewolf story- there is a nice twist here. I enjoyed the creation of the Fae world and the treatment of them as some authors tend to treat them as fairies. Great story, lots of action.
